Multiple Forms on One page

Hi,
I am trying to create multiple forms based on different tables on ONE page. But some how I get errors in the Automatic process (fetch,insert, and update) which gets created when you create a form.
The tables i am using have some common colomn_name but i when creating form i am not including those columns.
For eg. all my table have create_by,update_by column but i am not add these columns in the form as they are updated by the DB trigger.

Multiple forms in one region???

Hello guys,
I have created application with couple of pages, but now I have one critical issue with one page.
In this page I have created multiple forms in one region by customize templated, that is working very much fine, but I unable to insert/update data into the DB table through this page.
My sinceraio is something like that, I have couple of tables, where p_id is common in all of the tables, now this issue page I have created multiple(2) forms in one region where both the forms are built but two separated DB tables in one both of them has one column in common ie p_id, the value of p_id is processed from the previous page.
I am aware of the apex limitation about one table for region and hence I created View from this two different tables and above that created INSTEAD OF trigger for insert and update purpose as through I can't, so.

Add to Multiple Tables from One Page

Hello,
I am building an application that handles hardware inventory (APEX 4.0). I have an input page that adds data to two or more tables all at once. The page has two forms on it that point to two separate tables. However when I try to run the page, it fails and returns an error:
ORA-06550: line 1, column 437: PL/SQL: ORA-00904: "ORH_LAST_UPDATE_DATE": invalid identifier ORA-06550: line 1, column 7: PL/SQL: SQL Statement ignored
     Error      Unable to process row of table IDD_ID_DATA.
So far as i can see within the App, that column is not at issue (I am not even doing anything to it and it is nullable). I have looked into the App itself as well as doing some online research but have found nothing helpful...
So my question is this: Is it possible to add to multiple tables from one page? If so how do I do it?
I am new to APEX so any help would be greatly appreciated!

UPDATE:
I received an email from the APEX Support Team:
"The simple answer is that you will need to manually code the DML (and query) processes if you wish to maintain multiple tables from one page (There is a limit of one table when using the built-in processes).
In order to do this I suggest you delete the processes generated by the wizards and create PL/SQL processes with insert, update, delete statements as necessary. Such coding is not difficult but is more time consuming than when you can use built-in processes."
I have been playing around with PL/SQL code and the end result is this:

I used this code in a custom PL/SQL Process in the Processing>Processes section of Page Processing and it seems to work fine now. The only downside to this method is if the name of a Page Item is changed the code will also have to be changed. Other than that i have had no problems.

Update multiple records on one page php/mysql

Hi folks,
I am trying to adapt a page to offer the option to update multiple records on one page.
The intention is to edit FAQ categories which are contained in a table with just two fields - the category and an id.
The page lists each categories in a form with a submit button which is then repeated for each record in the recordset.
Unfortunately my plan didn't work and only the first record updates as intended.
Can anyone suggest how I can make it work?

What does debugging tell you? What's the value of each of the variables? Did you try using regular echo statements to monitor what's going on? That's what I always do whenever I am stuck in my PHP coding.

Multiple forms in a page

I am writing a custom component which would behave similar way to showDetail tag in adf, but we need it as header and customized text so we went for a custom component, in showDetail component, ADF uses PPR to render only the section of the page, but if i want to achieve the same way, i am using multiple forms in the page and trying to submit each selected form, but the issue when a submit a form, it's not invoking the encodeBegin method, i am not sure whether it would execute the lifecycle of ADF.
How can we handle multiple forms in developing a custom component.

Does this mean that simple forms will not work? Do I need to move to iframe?
Even if use iframe, i have to use form for submit, as i cann't submit iframe, even then i would face the problem i earlier mentioned, like my encodeBegin(phase of lifecycle) is not invoked..... Plz guide me if you have any other alternative to this.....

I would like to display 2 forms on a same page but when i submit my first from, i have error because of duplicate column..
I think the second form is also submited.
How to make independant the 2 forms?

If you are using same item names in the multiple forms in a page you will definitely get the error.
Create forms in separate pages you can display those forms in a page using iframe or frames concept

Multiple Forms w/ One Submit Button

Hello,
I'm trying to create something for a little league team. I
have a MySQL database with 2 columns, i.e. Name/Age.
I currently have 9 forms on one page, with one submit button.
Name - (Text Field)
Age - (Text Field)
Name - (Text Field)
Age - (Text Field)
etc.
I only want one submit button to submit all the forms into
the name/age columns of my database instead of having to include a
different button next to each form. But, so far, when I try,
instead of inserting all 9 forms with the one submit button, only
the first form gets inserted into the name/age columns of my
database. I'd greatly appreciate any help. I have no idea what to
do.

Multiple videos on one page in Muse neded for a video portfolio..
Anyone got a great idea how this can be done please. (or direct me to a tutorial link - doing one is all I can find)
I am happy with either embedded or Menu linked on objects to videos.

I just cant find any way to put hyperlinks or urls in objects and I can not find a way to make small video players in Muse.
If I scale the container ..things go very weird. eg the video goes tiny and into a corner.
I feel like I am working with half a tool box!!!
I cant even find a template where this has been done.

Printing multiple photos onto one page

Sorry, fairly new to PSE9!
Have a group of photos I need to print to actual size (3cm x 4cm) to go into a photo frame. They are all cropped and ready to go but there doesn't seem to be an option to print multiple images onto one page at a custom size? A contact sheet only gives me the option for the number of columns and picture package doesn't give any such option either as far as I can see! I'm sure I must be missing something here!
Any help much appreciated! Don't want to waste photo paper printing each small photo individually!

2 forms in one page and same backing bean

Hi,
Can I use the same backing bean to handle 2 forms in the same page?
I have something like

When I click the first button, "doForm1()" is invoked. But when I click the second button, "doForm2()" is not invoked!!!
What do I do wrong here?

Can you have multiple clickboxes on one page

Sorry... a few complicated things are coming up. I am doing a
large project with LOTS of interactivity, which involves simulating
a customer filling in a form and then clicking a button to move on.
So one one page I have both a Text Entry box, and sometimes also a
click box.
I made the Text Entry box action "none," and put the "go to
next" on the click box action.
Now my boss wants two more links added to each and every
page... a TABLE OF CONTENTS button, and also a NEXT PAGE button.
When I added these two additonal buttons, it seems to be confusing
Captivate.
This is understandable, as Captivate is probably thinking
"what the heck do you want me to do first."
What I need to know is (a) is it possible to have multiple
Interaction buttons or clickboxes on the same page, each doing a
different thing; and (b) if so... how???
(Secretly I hope the answer is NO because it will simplify my
life tremendously).

Hi again QuizQueen
Of course you may have multiple Buttons or Click Boxes on a
single slide and have each do something different when the user
clicks. It's all in how you configure the Buttons or Click Boxes.
Personally I think it's easier if you use Click Boxes as I
believe them to be more flexible.
Often what is missed is a specific setting. When you look at
the Options tab of the Click Box properties, you should see a
button with a down arrow. This button is located to the immediate
right of where you would type a URL. Click that button and you
should see an option to open the destination in a new window. But
click again and you see another option that is easily missed. This
would be the option to "Continue playing project". That one is
easily missed because it was in a disabled state (grayed out)
initially. So if you DE-select this option, the Click Box or Button
will carry out its assigned action without releasing the pause on
the slide.
Hopefully that helps you better understand it.

Using spry select on multiple forms in same page

Greetings-
My apologies if this has already been answered but after a few searches I've not found my solution....
I have a web page with 2 different forms (completely different open form and close form tags) that I'm trying to get the Spry Select Widget to work in.
Both forms' Spry Select widgets interact as expected with the user with one exception; the second form continues to submit to the action page even if the user is trying to submit an invalid value (the docs suggested using the value of -1 so that's what I'm using). The appropriate error gets displayed to the user but the form continues to submit, which I don't want. Is there a limitation that I missed regarding the use of multiple forms in the same web page with the Spry Select Widget?
FWIW, I'm running the app on ColdFusion and even the cfform/cfselect won't work with the Spry Widget.... I've named and id'd all forms and form elements and still no luck.
Any ideas?

The preamble looks reasonable. I would like to make sure you are clear on the process.
The data needs to be rendered twice (i.e. a 2 step job). In the first step you create a trace file with the page count for each document in it...\trace"^define User:PageCountForTrans_@:TransCount. @$page.@LF."."
In the second step, that trace file is brought back in as a preamble file.
Please confirm that you are in fact passing the data twice.

Creator Virtual Forms or Multiple Forms in a page?

Hello to everyone!
I guess the problem I have must have been answered somewhere in this forum, however I cannot find the right answer. Simple stated: I have a page with 2 sections.
First section contains 2 DropDown lists for the user to select items. Once selected, there is an image Link control the user can click to open results in a new window acording to selections.
Second section: 1 DropDown list and a Data Table. User select an item from the list and Data Table refresh its contents.
Virtual Forms seemed a great idea. However when I implemented those forms if the user select an item from the DropDown in Virtual Form 2 (section 2) it is as if the user had clicked the image Link on Virtual Form 1 (section 1).
So I'm thinking in going back and implement my page with 2 "common" forms and JavaScript :(
Is there a link or a clue where I can start from to correct my page with VF?

After a 1 day and a few hours and no useful responses (no one at all, actually, except this one), I finally solved this little problem. And I think I have understood the purpose of VF: VF are useful just in the case you have multiple sections and submit controls on one page and the resulting processed data need to be reflected on that very same page.
In my case one section reflected resulting data on the same page and the other section reflected data on an alternate page/window. So I put section 1 and 2 into two different simple forms and that was it! Solved :D

When the customer enter the withdrawal amount i need to display the balance - for this i use "form2"
Finally i use "form3" to submit the data.

According to the HTML specification, you may not nest forms.
You can use multiple forms as long as you don´t nest them.

I am trying to print a snapshot taken from a PDF multiple times on one page.

Reader Will not print multiple copies of a snapshot on one page. I read the help files for Acrobat itself and all it said was take the snapshot and print it. Does anyone know if Acrobat can print multiple copies of the snapshot on one page?
From some reading in another forum page it looks like Acrobat can do it by saving the snapshot repeatedly with different names and the printing all of them at once. I really hate that workaround as I need to do this often.

I tried to do it using Reader. I have a one page PDF document with a UPS shipping label on one side and a special box label with a barcode on the other. This is designed to print on a standard 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper. There are many times when I need to be able to print the box labels more than once. At home, I do it by taking a snapshot of the box label and printing it to a Label printer as many times as I need it. The distributor who also ships items for me only has a full page printer but he can print 4 on a page labels on UPS provided stock. Reader won’t print a snapshot multiple times, the option is grayed out. What I wanted to know is if Acrobat itself can print that snapshot multiple times. I don’t think it can without being able to cut and save that PDF multiple times as separate files. That would be a slow and cumbersome operation. If it would take a snapshot or a single cut and save and print that PDF 4 times on a page it would be a reason to spend the money to buy the program because we need to perform this operation OVER and OVER on a regular basis. On some shipments we might need to print 12 or more extra box labels. We tape smaller boxes together for one UPS label and need to make sure EACH box gets a separate label. Otherwise they sometimes get lost on the other end.
Doing the save 4 separate PDFs process we might actually need TWO copies of Acrobat unless reader can print 4 on a page if it has 4 PDF’s to work from. I have not yet found a good way to save those snapshots from reader. I have tried since I found that it was possible to cut and save them in other formats but not PDF’s as reader can’t save them. The quality of the saved items in other formats is not acceptable. I recently discovered that Microsoft publisher which I have can save a document as a PDF. I’m going to see if I can import to that program next.
