2 forms in one page and same backing bean

Hi,
Can I use the same backing bean to handle 2 forms in the same page?
I have something like
<h:form id="form1">
<h:commandButton action="#{myBackingBean.doForm1}" />
</h:form>
<h:form id="form2">
<h:commandButton action="#{myBackingBean.doForm2}" />
</h:form>
When I click the first button, "doForm1()" is invoked. But when I click the second button, "doForm2()" is not invoked!!!
What do I do wrong here?

Hi user11969500,
If you are using same item names in the multiple forms in a page you will definitely get the error.
Create forms in separate pages you can display those forms in a page using iframe or frames concept

How to change/update one page and all others at once?

I'm quite new to Dreamweaver. I am trying to add some things to my sidebar and I would like it to appear on all of my other pages. I used a template for the index(homepage) then I just saved the page so I could create other pages for it to have the same logo and such on those pages. So how do I go about editing one page and all others at once?

If you used DW Templates to create your child pages, open your .dwt file.
Make changes to the sidebar.
Save and populate changes to child pages.
Unfortunately, making changes to child pages will not populate to other child pages. Only the master template.dwt in DW can populate changes across to child pages.

Hi,
"cookie" is a reserved name. If you want to write to a session scope attribute called "cookie" then you have to call #{sessionScope.cookie}. If you want to use EL to set and read from cookies then you will have to use
#{cookie.cookieName}
Note that #{cookie} writes to and returns a map

WebSphere Custering and JSF Backing Beans

Hello All,
Can anyone enlighten me on exactly how backing bean state is maintained by JSF?
In what scope does JSF store the backing beans? (session perhaps)
Does it make sense to use JSF without stateful backing beans?
What would happen if a client post did not find its corresponding backing bean on the application server calling it?
Background:
In a clustered WebSphere Server environment, a client post may be directed to any one of the machines in the cluster. If the client post gets directed to a machine other then the machine that originally sent the client a response, the page will not find the corresponding page beans.
It is possible to serialize session beans in WebSphere and have each machine share its memory with all the boxes in the cluster. However, this practice is not permitted in some environments.
Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

I am probably not an expert on the subject. But here are some thoughts:
1. A backing bean can have (application, session, request or None) as a scope.
Less app or session scope beans the better (from server perspective). But
There are practical reasons why you would want to use them in many cases.
2. JSF supports Client State Saving mode. But keep in mind the overhead
Involved (serialization, de-serialization, bandwidth,...).
3. You probably need to read about WebSphere load balancing capability. From
what I know it is somehow sophisticated. People typically use session affinity
to force requests initiated by same session to be served by the same app
server (enforced by network, hardware/software tools available to do so,...). Of
course with failover mechanism to ensure high availability.

Current we print script form with system automatic new page, but sometime it'll cover two pages and a lot of blank left on the first page. So user ask to print in one page. So how can i do it? is there any place we can configure the line item per page?
Our system is Ecc 6.0. The form is used for payment advice which has been copied from sap standard form.

Are the same line items printed on first page when line items printed on second page?
Just check it the height of the main window, in ur first page. If see if u can increase ur size of the main window so that u can add more line items.
Do one more thing Give all ur line item fields in Main window in
PROTECT and ENDPROTECT commands.
ex:
/: PROTECT
P1 &ITAB-MATNR&
/: ENDPROTECT
If it is a SMARTFORM,
Create a STYLE in Tcode:- SMARTFORMS,
In that create a Paragraph Node, Select the Check box of Page Protected.
Use that created STYLE ,
Under the Line Items of ur Main Window> Table Node, In Output Options, Select the created STYLE.
Now check for the TEXT entry for the Field and in that select the Paragraph format from the drop down list.

Big trouble with multiple forms in a page and submit - commit buttons

I have created a menu system based on a sample 61 at

so , on each page i have a form that contains my menu system , when i add second form to this page by using drag and drop , its submit / clear button works but Commit button does not change to Enable and stay disabled.
I change the Disabled property of Commit button to true but it does not operate (does not store data into DB)
I tried my work on a page without those menu system and it works fine.
so i think there should be some tricks for pages that contain more than one form and has a Commit button.
can some one clearify ?

Can it be a problem with my whole application ?
I tried other applications with same condition and they workd :((
even i made a new page in my application and put only one form into it , the commit button is turned off for ever :((
is it possible that i touched some configuration and commit become permanently disable ?
it will be huge pain if i need to create the project skeleton again , it has more than 20 pages and all navigations and mune system is set :>
any clue ?
I should say that , Jdeveloper hanged once and i kill its process, can that be the source of problem ?
