Multiple Lines In Report Output

Hi
I am setting up a report off the back of taking customer orders. Each customer will place one order that can contain several products.
My client needs an output file that gives full details of the customer, cost, delivery address etc plus all products ordered. The output all needs to be in one row.
The problem is my SQL database stores each different product ordered in the same field (i.e PRODUCT) but on different lines in the database. These are linked back to the unique customer by reference number.
So my output file reads (eg)
name, add1, add2, add3,add4, cost, product, quantity,
this line would then repeat for each product ordered.
what I need is:
name, add1, add2, add3,add4, cost, product, quantity, product 2, quantity, product 3, quantity etc etc etc
I cannot restructure the sql as it is linked into my order software.
Does anyone know how I can get this all on one line.

Group by customer and print in the group footer. I'd probably use arrays to store each detail's values (see help on arrays and semi-auto extending them with preserve etc.) and another formula in the group footer to simply loop through these arrays building up a string which is the formula result. See help on totext etc., particularly when converting numbers to a string.

the o/p in ur case will be a basic list output with a check box enabled in the left .
Now say there are 10 records in the list output and i have checked 3 of them where checkboxes are enabled .
And i press a button to submit this to the BDC .
Here u need to make use of
READ LINE statement to read the records from the list output and then pass them to the BDC .
The code would be something like this
DO .
Read line index <field> where checkbox <> ' '.
ENDO.
You can have a look at the F1 help on read line . This will mkae u clear .

Selecting multiple lines from ALV output for further validation

Hi guru's,
         i have created a ALV report with a check box in the output,i need to select multiple lines by checking 'X' in the check box
after that i need to do further validation..like updating etc..how to read the selected lines( check box = 'X' )from the output of the ALV report.Is there any function for that.plz help me with this regard.

How To Restrict Number Of Rows For Multiple Group In Report Output

I have a requirement to restrict number of rows in report output.I have three different group , if i use same no of rows to restrict then output is as expected but if i want Deduction group should have 7 rows , earning should have 5 rows and Tax group have 3 rows in report output then XML tag is not working.
Below is the XML tag i am using -

variable lpp2 is declare to restrict EarTaxLines -
<xsl:variable name="lpp2" select="number(2)"/>
This will help to restrict the no of rows on one page , if we have more then two tax benefits line then layout will roll over to continuation page.
As part of report output my expectation is if i restrict Earning , Deduction and Tax benefits to same no of line for example - variable lpp ,lpp1 and lpp2 have same value "number(2)" , we can see the layout is continue on next page (restrict every group can have max two lines) .This is the reason we have 4 header grid , deduction and Tax Benefit lines are rolled over to continuation page .But if we restrict different value for each variable then continuation page layout is missing .
When we tried for <xsl:variable name="lpp2" select="number(3)"/> value continuation page layout is not getting generate for both employee number .

Multiple lines in a Output XML message

Hi all,
     I am currently implimenting a simple scenario of creating a file in a particular format using XI.The working scenario is that we get an XML message from BO which will be mapped to the required format of the file.But for testing we are using an hardcoded XML file as the incoming message to XI.
     But there is a problem I am facing. The incoming XML message will contain multiple information and this has to be mapped to a header information followed by items.Like for example I have a payment document which has paid some 5 invoices.The incoming XML message will have this information and what I need in the output is to have the invoice information in 5 different lines.
For eg - Assume I have the following structure for incoming message
REGUH
REGUP
....and so on
Here for every REGUH entry we can have mulitple REGUP and also we can have multiple REGUH.
Say my target structure is -
Header Info
Record Info
so for every REGUH and corresponding REGUP combination I will have a Header Info and Record Info.For the next REGUH and corresponding REGUP I will have another Header and Record Info.
     I tried testing this in message mapping by duplicating the node REGUH and REGUP but it does not work.I also tried by having the occurances as 1 to n on both sides.It did not seem to work.
Can you guys give some feedback on this.

    Thanks for the information.But this was a simple case which works.But in my case I have something like -
one field in REGUH will appear once in the file while some other fields will appear multiple times.Also I have a lot other structures which are something like this.
I assume that occurence for both sides should be 1 to n.
But it does not seem to work for me.Its a bit complicated target structure.

Empty line in report output

Hi Rangarao,
Make sure your page breaks are within the group statement or wrap page break in "if" statement so it doesn't print.
Make sure your form fields are on their own line without space either side.

I am using a IDOC to Flat File scenario
IDOC is PO Idoc.
Flat file should contain n no of records For example if IDOC of a PO contains 3 Line Item Flat file should have 3 records...
Suppose , my flat file has 3 fields

Now How to achieve this ?

Use UseOneASMany standard function and map as given below

because you use function useOneAsMany() if a field that only occurs once needs to be replicated as often as another field occurs in the outbound message so that the fields can be written to the target structure in pairs as a record.
it takes three inputs
first input values to be replicated
second input for how often values to be repeated(Occurence)
third input How to structure the values(in your case you have to repeat values as often as E1EDP01 occurs and structure should be as Item or material field)

Cause and prerequisites
The fields must be located in table GLPCA (for actual) or GLPCP (for plan).
For Release 3.0F, you should ensure you have applied Note 62511 first.
Solution
To include a field in the actual line item report, proceed as follows:
Call the ABAP/4 Dictionary (Transaction SE11) and display table GLPCA. You can then find in a line the field name and data element for the field you want to include.
Return to the initial screen of the ABAP/4 Dictionary. Now change the structure RPCA2. If the structure does not yet contain the field, you select Edit -> Insert field; enter the field name and data element. Do not insert the new field at the beginning of the structure but in the rear half of the structure.
Then save and activate the structure.
Now call the ABAP Editor (Transaction SE38). Change the source code of program RCOPCA02. Insert the lines set out in the attachment in FORM routine FIELDCAT_FILL. When you do this, replace SGTXT by the field name of the field. If you normally want the field to be displayed when you the access the report, delete the line afield-no_out = 'X'. You should note that the place where you insert the lines influences the position of the column in the report list.
To include a field in the Plan-line-item report, carry out the same procedure except with table GLPCP, structure RPCA8 and program RCOPCA08.
Note: Pls check if these 2 fields are available in any of the layout versions you have available with the transaction.

Script issue with multiple lines printing

But only the last line is being printed all the time in all the lines.

Dear All,
As i Mentioned in my earlier post, the same coding working fine in Quality server --> Printing multiple lines in script output.
But now, I have the same reqt. in another window.
So, I did the same coding.
But, this time it's printing the last line of the internal table in all the lines.
This is happening in Quality Server only.
The only difference between the previous internal table and this int. table is:
1. The first int. table content is printing in MAIN Window. ---> working fine
2. The second int. table content is printing in VARIABLE window. ---> NOT WORKING.
Can any one tell me what's the issue with this ?

Not able to generate multiple lines for headers in report

Hi,
I am new to BI publisher and not able to generate multiple lines for headers. Please help me to resolve.
I am using RTF template, data source as PS Query and XML file (system generated from the data source)
When I am using system generated 'First XML' file, I am getting output in the follwoing format.

e.g.

CMS crash with core files and multiple report output generation

Happy new year to everyone,
Our BOXIR3.1SP6FP2 env has recently started behaving weirdly by triggering multiple output to users inbox and email notification out of scheduled reports. Also we have noticed the CMS crash with core file (almost 4GB) generation at the time of multiple report output.
Most of the times, CMC crashes and recycles itself. At few times, CMS services alone went shut down.
OS details: RHEL 5.5, 32 GB RAM, 8 core processor on each of the clustered node, Oracle 10GR2.4 CMS DB server, 11GR2.4 oracle reporting DB server and oracle 11.1.0.6 client.

I'm trying my best for the last few weeks to understand the core issue along with SAP however it is still a mystery.

Below is the observation as part of troubleshooting:
1. CMS breaks at threshold of 3.9 G.
2. CMS DB sits in a different Linux server than BOE server.
3. All core files were generated by boe_cmsd process and are almost 4GB in size (same as max threshold which it breaks).
4. Shell script which I've added in the BOE servers shows that the CMS DB is available/connecting at the time of CMS crash.
5. SAP analysed the Core files and skeptical about the below lines.
     #3 0x58687b80 in skgesigCrash ()
      from /opt/oracle/product/11.1.0/client_1/lib32/libclntsh.so
     #4 0x58687e0d in skgesig_sigactionHandler ()
I'll continue troubleshooting with a hope to fix it at the earliest.

How to restict number of lines from my report output

I deveoped a noraml alv report where 26 fields displayed in the report output .But when nuber of lines exdeed 65,000 then we are unable to donload it to spread sheet .so we want to reduce the number of lines based on customer .How to do this in layout is there any facility to restict the number of lines ??

Hi I am not sure but you can try like devide table entries in multiple internal tables.
Create saperate ALV Report and give customized button(Next and Back) to each report will have interlink to this reports.

How to display TEXT more than 500 char in a report as multiple lines.

I am fetching the data Using FM READ_TEXT
the output im currently geeting with 150 Char in lenth as a single line
How we can split the text into multiple lines in a report
first i would like to know is it possible? if possible please give your valuable suggitions if not is there any alternative way to do this task.

Hi,
This is possible but the Solution might not look Standard/Appropriate to you.
In ALV, you can have Multiple Line Output...There is a Field in the Field Catalogue..called as Row_position...this is by default 0...which means Single row/Line ALV output....You can have this Value in the Range of 0 to 3.......A ALV field with row_position 1, will be displayed in the second line for every record...i.e. you will have multiple line for a single record of ALV.
In your case......you can use this but you need to split your field in two fields.....but you may end up spliting a single word....but for that also you can design the logic of splitting the Fiel value at SPACE only......

Converting report output to pdf by submit spooland email to multiple vendor

Hi all,
           my current program converting the report output to pdf and then downaloding andsending to vendor email.If user enter single vendor is o.k. but if suppose user enter multiple vendors,report is dipalying with multiple vendor information and all this information converting to one pdf file only.but i need particular vendor pdf have particular vendor info only excluding remaining vendor info.I am pasting my code.can anyone suggest?

Spool output is coming in multiple lines

Dear Experts,
There is one Z report having large no of columns and hence output is coming in multiple lines.
I have created Z format type as Z_65_700 and Z_65_1023 but still output is shown in 2 lines.
I have noticed one thing that no of char is 900 but in spool some spaces are there which are making the column lengthy
Kindly guide me.
