Multiple Menu List Selection question.

In a form I have a multiple select list that's populated dynamically from a table, e.g. label = full name, value = name_id. I need to be able to insert both label and value into another table. Normally, selecting a label will insert the value, but what technique (short example, please) can I use to extract the label itself as well as it's value from the list?

Unfortunately there is no way to move this data into FormsCentral.
As far as your question about using PDFs with FormsCentral, 'soon' is actually 'now'! You have two options:
1) Author a new form with FormsCentral. From the distribute tab, save a submission-enabled PDF form. You can send this form out to your recipients and their responses will be collected on FormsCentral.
2) Import an exsiting PDF form into FormsCentral from the dashboard, and then submission-enable it. Distribute the submission-enabled version and responses will be collected on FormsCentral.

Using the same field on a form for multiple menu/drop down list

I have a form that tracks people that attend orientations. It is possible for an Attendee to attend the same orientation up to three times.
In using the Update record wizard, I have two recordsets, rsAttendees and rsOrientation from two separate tables.
I want to be able to use the rsOrientation to create a drop down list, but I want to use that same recordset field as the source for the dropdown 3 times on the same record.
There are 3 fields on the Attendee form:
Orientation1, Orientation2, and Orientation3.
Using the wizard, I set each up as a Menu, then select the rsOrientation, Orientation.Date as the source for all 3.
The problem is that only the Orientation1 field is populated. Orientation2 and Orientation3 dropdowns are blank.

IPhoto library selection menu lists library twice

Hello,
I am running iPhoto '11 9.3.2 on a MacBook Pro running 10.7.4. I moved a few iPhoto library folders from another laptop to my MacBook Pro Pictures folder this afternoon. Now, when I hold down the Option key and start iPhoto, the library selection menu lists one of the libraries I moved twice. Filepath shown for each listing is the same, but oddly one of them is in all CAPS. Choosing either one seems to open up the correct library, but having it listed twice worries me. Why is this happeing and how can I correct this? Please see my 3 screenshots below for clarification.
This screenshot shows the libraries in my Pictures folder. iPhoto Library Olive is only in the Pictures folder once. The filepath can be seen at the bottom of the screenshot as /Users/erin/Pictures/iPhoto Library Olive.
When I hold down the Option key and start photoshop, the above library selection menu pops up. Here, iPhoto Library Olive is listed twice. Filepath for the 1st iPhoto Library Olive selection shows /Users/erin/Pictures/IPHOTO LIBRARY OLIVE. I am not sure why the library name is in all caps here.
Above, I have selected the 2nd iPhoto Library Olive (default). The filepath reads /Users/erin/Pictures/iPhoto Library Olive. No caps in this iteration of the filepath.
What is the problem?

Try the following: make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.

3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.

Master detail where master is a list select menu

I'd like to create something similar to this example http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/spry/samples/data_region/SprySetRowSample.html but instead of a static menu on the left I'd like it to be a list select menu. Is this possible? Thanks.

Dynamic List Selection as a Parameter in another Recordset

Please help.
I have an ASP VBScript webpage. The first field on this page
is a dynamic menu / list which lists footballers from a recordset.
Whichever player is selected I then want to populate additional
fields on the page (e.g. team he plays for) based on the selection.
I was trying to extract the field value to a variable MM_Var6
= Cstr(Request.Form(("PlayerName2")) and then use MM_Var6 in the
WHERE statement of an additional recordset e.g. WHERE
Teams.Playername = MM_Var6
but can't help feeling there has to be an easier way of
getting the data from the table rather than using an additional
recordset. The above way doesn't seem to extract the value
correctly from the list field.
Am I just using the wrong syntax? or is there a better way of
doing this?

I think I saw this question in stack overflow. And I answered it :-)
I believe that it is because you can only one item in the list and once the item is selected, re-selecting it will not fire the event.
Try adding more items to the list and select different items.

How to make a keyboard navigating multiple choice list in Flash and control it through actionscript?

i am making an rpg style game in actionscript 3.0 and i want to make a multiple choice list. I know how to make the list with buttons and how to control it. My question is, how do you make a list that can be navigated using the keyborad arrows? What i am after is being able to hit up, and down to highlight the buttons and enter to chose the button.

You'll need to make the buttons as movieclips so that you can control which display state they are in (highlighted versus not).
Then you need to set up a listener for the keyboard keys so that you can have the selected button change and the execute if the Enter is pressed. Here is a basic setup for a keyboard listener that shows how to detect the three keys you mentioned...

Multiple Menu Deploy OS in USB .WIM Files

We SCCM 2012 and I create bootable USB to install windows 7 in standalone workstation
Now, My concern is I have 4 Images (e.g WinXP x86, WinXP x64, Win 7 x86, Win 7x64)
and my problem every OS images with the extension of .WIM files , I need to create A USB files which is time consuming and effort from my end. Imagine every .wim or Images I need to create a USB
Is there a way or option That I can select which images I want to deploy for the target machine
Menu List:
Option 1: WinXP x86
Option 2: WinXP x64
Option 3: Win 7 x86
Option 4: Win7 x64

This question is ambiguous. You say that you have four *.wim files, however please be clear, *.wim files can be used in windows for both storage (Like an large *.zip file or *.gho Ghost file) file to store the OS itself, or it can be used as the storage
mechanism for a WinPE *boot* image.
If you have more than one Task Sequence, you can publish to all machines, and it should appear when you boot your SCCM Boot image.
If you have more than one SCCM boot image, there are ways to modify a USB file to have more than one USB boot image. However, this is confusing to me, if the task sequences are on the same SCCM Server. Really SCCM Boot images are per Site Server, not per
OS Image, so there is no need to create more than one boot image.

How to submit InfoPath form data to multiple SharePoint lists at one time?

I'm looking for a way to submit certain data in InfoPath form to separate SharePoint lists at the same time. I have a form that has two views with many data in them. I want to keep these data in separate SharePoint list besides keeping them in the XML. I know that you can submit to a form library using SharePoint document library data connection, but I'm not sure if you can use several data connections for submitting data to multiple SharePoint lists. Is it only possible to do using code? If yes, can anyone show a sample. I have never coded in InfoPath, though I used C# a lot in .Net.

This is an old thread but I tripped over a codeless method to do this with OOB InfoPath 2010 and SP 2010.
Assuming your main InfoPath form is published to a document library with the promoted fields that you want to see.
Publish your form to a new document library to capture the secondary data fields that you want separated out.
Using the Publishing Wizard do the following:
Go to – File then Publish
Select SharePoint Server “ Publish form to a SharePoint Library”
Enter location of your SharePoint or InfoPath Forms Services Site:
accept the default in this field from the first published event
Next screen, keep the default or change it, Form Library, Site Content Type or Admin Approved
Next screen, What do you want to do?
Create a new form library
Add new document library name and description
Next screen, Remove all promoted fields not applicable to the new library and add all of the ones you want to see data for.
Click Next and Publish
Come back into the form: If you don’t have buttons added directly to the form to submit or update, add them.
Create a new Action rule on the button
Label the rule to keep it straight
Condition, occurs when button clicked
Add action, Submit data
Use data connection to the second library created
Create a second new Action rule on the same button
Label the rule to keep it straight
Condition, occurs when button clicked
Add action, Submit data
Use original data connection to the library
Then you can add another action to close the form or do whatever you need.
Republish the form to both libraries to set the template for both.
File – Publish – SharePoint Server
Select Secondary library from drop down follow the rest of the prompts
Follow step 5a again, select Primary library from drop down, Add back in all of the promoted fields needed for the primary library and follow the prompts.
DOCUMENT YOUR FORM WELL FOR MAINTENANCE
Special considerations, your primary library needs a unique ID to reference in your secondary library.
Your secondary library will need a unique ID that is not related to the primary if you are going to store multiple records for a single primary library reference.
Example: One form, multiple updates.

How can I get a drop-down list selection also be selected in another field with the same list but a different name?

I have a street address and a billing address. A question is posed with a checkbox — "Is the billing address the same as the street address?" If Yes is checked, the street address automatically fills the billing fields. If No is checked, the user must fill in new information. In both the street address and billing addres, the State field is a drop-down list. How can I get the drop-down list selection in the street address State also be selected in drop-down list for the billing address State?

Can a click box be used if multiple options to a questions?

I was trying to have the student need to click on multiple options for a question.
The situation called for the student to have to click on four different items that were correct out of a group of six items. I put success captions on the four correct and failure messages on the 2 that were incorrect.
Following are my settings for each of the click boxes:
Action: On success - continue Attempts: infinite
Options: Success or Failure
Pause for success/failure, Show hand over cursor, pause until user clicks
The screen fades out before the user can read and select all their choices (I have the timing for the screen set at 10 sec)
I have an image button on the page labeled Continue that the user needs to click on before continuing. It is set at: Action: on success, continue, infinite attempts
Is this the right standard object to use for this purpose, and if it is, what settings do I need to make it work?

You need to use Advanced Actions to achieve your desired result.
The default behaviour of Captivate interactive objects is to Continue play as soon as you click them. But there's a trick you can use to prevent this by having the On Success or On Failure action execute an Advanced Action instead that assigns the value of the variable rdcmndGotoFrame with the value of rdInfoCurrentFrame.

ADF Shuttle Component - Can we have multiple leading list

Hi,
I have requirement where there are multiple lists of different types on the left hand side and user should be able to shuttle the items from any of the list to the single selected list in right side. I know in ADF shuttle there is one leading and one trailing list. I wan to know how can i make ADF shuttle component support multiple leading lists and single trailing list.
Or should I go for total custom solution mimicking shuttle behavior?
JDev version is 11.1.1.6.0

After consulting other ADF experts offline, we have come to conclusion that there is no off-the shelf component which caters to my requirement.
We are now going with complete custom solution to achieve shuttle behavior.
