Multiple records through bean

User enters multiple records on JSP. Each record represent a instance of Java bean. I am having hard time in receiving these beans (or array of beans) on the servlet. Does someone know how to receive data through beans.

User can inputs all the record at one time. E.g. User see 5 rows to enter. User may enter all the five or only one also. I want that all the data entered by the user should be captured throught beans. Do you feel i should do following.
First show one record and then ask user to press add button (if he/she wish to add more records). On add button write the code to add the existing bean in the session object , show one empty row and also make first record un-editable. When user submit button then extract all beans from the session object.
I tried other ugly way.

I call one more tradeForward page in between which associate the form variable to the right bean using some thing like this.

I am doing multiple object updation using a standard RFC(BAPI_PROJECT_MAINTAIN). The RFC i am calling from Enterprise portal. I am sending data to RFC one by one. But the error i am getting is object is locked by user so data can't be save.
Though i am using Lock and unlock method before and after calling RFC the project lock error comes up.
What might be the reason

Bug report (and solution): adding multiple records through Java API in bulk

I have found some bugs in the Java API (version 4.1.25) that makes it impossible to add mulitple values in bulk to a RECNO database. The fixes are as follows:
MultipleEntry.java, line 80:
"DbUtil.int2array(curr_off, this.data, pos);"
should be replaced by
" DbUtil.int2array(recno, this.data, pos);"
MultipleRecnoDatabaseEntry.java, line 130:
"return append_internal(data, doff, dlen, recno);"
should be replaced by
"return append_internal(data, offset, len, recno);"

It looks like there were some corrections to this area in the post 4.1 i.e. 4.2 release. And I do not see these same issues in the current 5.1.25 release. If you do find them in the current release, just let us know.

Multiple record update in TABLE Control.

Hi All,
I m developing dialog program with table control.
I want to know how to update multiple records through the table control if user selects more than one.
Also depending on some condition i want to change the status of one reocrd and not the column as a display field and won't be editable. I have tried with loop at screen and modify screen, but it is showing the whole column as display only.

From the process flow, I can see that the array element expression works and the first employee record is correctly assigned to the Invoke_2_Input_Variable.
However Invoke_2 is erroring out.

I have one table named(Pay_apply_det) in this table i want to update one column named(Hierarchy) every time and according to change i want to update or i want to maintain my log table named(pay_apply_appr).It based on level wise approval when the lowest person approve the record show on next level but if the second
level person back it will be show only previous level hierarchy.And when the final approval happen the Posting_tag column of pay_apply_det will be updated too with hierarchy column.
i have drag pay_apply_det's data control as a table in my .jsf page and add one column approve status in UI .in the approve status i used radio group which return A for approve B for back R for reject through value binding i make it get or set method in it baking bean.

Hi Rafat,
If you are able to insert into, all you need to do is iterate through the rows. For this , before the first IF condition
if(getR2().equals("A")&& h1!=1)Get the row count using int numRows =vo9.getRowCount(); , and then write it before the IF condition

        }write vo9.next(); to iterate to next row,

How to get Multiple records from functions

Hi Everyone
Im new to this stuff. Im trying through JCO. As far as the single recordsets like data of customer or article are concerned i get it through an array.
But i wanted to retrieve
1- Whole tables like (all articles)
2- Selected articles. or Customer order details (articles in PO)
That means multiple records in one go.
Later on ill display it in JTables.
Like for the past three days i was googling around. Thought like this ones not for my stomach. Came across this Forum. Thought its worth posting a request.

now instead of a single record what if im expecting a number of records, like what if i need customer over 25. Which means more than one. I have to get in tabular format so that i can display it in JTables.

will anybody plz tell me how to display multiple records in tabular view of forms 6i.for example say i have a field in a block of a form.and i have to display multiple records in another block in the same form depending upon the value of the mentioned field in the above block.

Why are you manually populating your data block when Oracle Forms will do this for you? Oracle Forms is tightly integrated with the Oracle Database. You should just base your Forms data block on the ISSUED table. Then you can filter the records displayed by setting the WHERE Clause property to ID = :BLOCK1.ID or you can dynamically set it with code using the SET_BLOCK_PROPERTY('BLOCK_NAME',DEFAULT_WHERE,'ID = :BLOCK.ID') built-in.
Then, the only code you would need in your Button's When-Button-Pressed trigger would be:

How can I do a multiple record data merge, but specify that a specific text frame with variable data only merges on the first record?

I'm doing a multiple record data merge, I have 2 frames both with variable data placed inside.
I would like to specify that one of the text frames only merges once(first record) and the other frame multiple times for each record in the data file.
Is it possible?
I thought that perhaps if I place the text frame that must merge once on the master page, it would work. But you are not allowed to place variable text on the master and on the document page.
I'm going to try it through scripting next, but thought that perhaps there is an easier way that I'm not aware of.

If you were trying to post a screen shot, you would need to return to the forum and post it using the "camera" icon at the top of the post editing windows.
I use a plug-in from Em Software called InData. One of the benefits for what I do is there are no individual frames on a page to deal with post-merge. Individual frames are great for simple merges (address labels, post cards, etc.). But I typically do more other types of merges.
That said, there is a drawback--one needs to come to an understanding of writing expressions that actually parse the incoming data. So in the spice price list example, that looks like:
It's reasonably easy once one does it a few times. And it can be far more complicated. The above is from Em Software's samples that has been tweaked. The best thing I can recommend would be to download the trial and see for yourself. They are good at responding to specific questions if you get stumped.
I imagine this all could be scripted somehow in ID. But I have no idea how and the plug-in just lets me keep working.

Multiple records of table from RFC to XI in single XML file

My Scenario is as following -->

> Rec SOAP adapter ---> Web Service</b>
Now we need multiple records from RFC which can be put in single XML file & XI can transport the whole XML file to Web Service. All the configuration in XI, Web Service is complete & I tested my mapping which is able to accept multiple records.
But when ABAPer is sending the records I am not getting it in XI, I checked that in message payload from RFC.
He put the table name in TABLE tab of RFC. But not under Import Tab, as whatever he is providing under Import parameter & exporting it through report I am getting in message payload but not the table data.
Did anyone try such scenario, can you tell me how can we achieve this.
Pls. provide me your mail ID in case you need an attachment of the current RFC & report code & my mapping snapshot.

We have created the BAPI in which we are just describing the structure of the payload & which I am importing in Integration Repository.
And we are calling this BAPI from another program using " Call function ... " command & also provinding the data in that program.
Actually ethically ABAPers are against the idea of provinding the data into program they would like to provide it in BAPI but that won't work, you have to provide data in program which in turn populate the fields of BAPI.

Calculate Days between same date field in multiple records, looping for each record

Be patient as I am a newbie to Sql Server (using 2008 R2) and SSIS. I have looked at multiple solutions in this and many other forums before submitting the question.
I am looking at records to identify the number of days between two dates. We review drug information. A member uses drug A (Code identifies this called GPI) and has refills throughout time. The goal is to calculate the days between Refill
1 and refill 2, then refill 2 to refill 3, etc. When that member record set is complete, we move to the next member record set.
The basic data would be as follows. Each record shown below would be a separate record in a single table :

The days between is the value I am looking to calculate. The First record for the grouping of Member and Drug Code will be zero ( 0 ) as there is no preceding date to calculate against. The process would then loop through the records at the grouping
(Member and Drug Code) until those records are calculated. It would then move on to the next group of Member/Drug records.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Any clarification I can provide, I would be more than happpy too. Thank you in advance!

Mouse hand over a block of multiple records help

Hello ,
i have add a bean i my form so that i could change the cursor to a hand when the mouse is over an item.
the problem that i have is that the block is a multiple record block i am showing 5 records.
so the mouse change only in the first record and not in the other records
has any one try to do the same and came with a solution?
or does anyone know how could i solve this problem?

RFIDYYWT across company codes produces 1099 with multiple records per TIN

We have multiple company codes that post 1099-MISC relevant payments to a common set of vendors. All payments are processed through our main (paying) company code.
All our company codes are one taxable entity to the federal government, with one TIN. We are required to submit one file to the IRS.
Unfortunately, when we execute RFIDYYWT across company codes we get multiple records per vendor, one for each company code, despite that the vendor has only one TIN.
How may we customize the system so that a single execution of RFIDYYWT provides an IRS compliant file that aggregates common vendor records?
