Multiple user in a parallel dynamic process step?

Hi,
anyone an idea how to address an process step in an parallel dynamic block simultaneously to multiple users?
I already tried the Assign Users to Process Role-Callable Object. Unfortunately each added user to one step in the parallel dynamic block was added to the same step in each parallel thread.
Any suggestions how to solve this problem in a other way?

How can we pass list of people through context parameter in the block.
I am passing the value through context but only first user in the list getting task in UWL.

I have done parameter grouping for PDB Multiline input (nodes) with Output of Action2 nodes at process level.
While i am trying to initiate action for Multiple users it is getting tasks in all users who are initiated but if one person performs the task action remaining users wont get the task and it will show No activity Present.
I think when i am Passing the values from Action2 output to PDB Action Input the problem is.

Restrictions on using multiple user tasks in parallel ?

Hi there,
are there any restrictions on creating / managing multiple user tasks sequentially or in parallel in a BPEL process ?
Sometimes my BPEL engine (OC4J/2.0.11) generates an error about "unregistered object ..." and the BPEL process failes.
The BPELConsole then is not able to display the process state anymore.

There should be no restriction on how many task you can run in parallel. The only requirement is to use distinct partnerLinks (the partnerLink is statefull and embedded the correlation information).
If you are combining flowN and tasks, you can achieve this by using local partnerlink (not supported by the designer but supported by the engine so a local partnerlink can be added to the process using the XML source representation of the BPEL).

I need some help regarding Parallel dynamic process issue.
My Process structure as follows.
Process
->Sequential Block
--->Action1
--->Parallel Dynamic Block
>Sequential Sub Block
>Action2
I am able to trigger the tasks to multiple users.
Action2 has to perform by multiple users.
Action2 contains Webdynpro Callable Object.
Webdynpro CO view contains two buttons namely "Approve" and "Send Back".
My requirement is
1)If All users selects approve then Action2 has to complete and control moves to Action1
2)If anyone selects Send Back then Action2 will be completed and control moves to Action1.This process will be continues still all the users Approve.
I am struggling for this requirement so please help me.

I am trying to call the Action1 in the Sequential Sub Block from Action 2.At that time i am gettin the following error.
Transition between blocks cannot be defined because there is a parallel block in the path.

Please include "Action2 " and "Action1(On Send Back from Action2)" in the subblock.
If both the actions are in the same sequential block (sub-block) then you can set result state.
Question 2:
Please suggest me what to set result state of Action2 when it is completed and how to call Action3.
Tell me Action3 comes under Sequential Block?

Action2 must have two result state
1. Completed -- Assign it "Terminal"
2. Send Back -- Assign it "Action1(On Send Back from Action2)"
Action3 is outside Parallel Dynamic Block. The structure of your sequential block will look like this

Using of one transaction by multiple users simultaneously

Dear Cons
We have one P.O number. we want to do Migo with reference to that P.o by three users simultaneously. During simultaneously use by multiple users the system gives a message that this p.o is currently used by other user, how can we solve this problem.
example- the p.o contains 50000 mt material ( coal). The material is carried out by trucks into the gate. the users are using T-code- MIGO truckwise. in order to speed up the process as there are lot of trucks carrying material by multiple users the system is not processing data under one p.o.

Alternative you can think of is not to do GR against PO directly, but first create inbound delivery for each of the physical shipments/trucks.
Then you can do GR against each inbound delivery separately.

Assigning Action to multiple users dynamically

Hello,
I have a GP Application wherein the user fills out a form which goes for approval to the Approver....the approver is determined using the 'Assign users to Process Role' Callable Object dynamically which works fine....now i want one more approver to get the same workitem in the worklist as the other....i tried to map this user to the same user identifier as done for the first user.....but it does not work.....how can i achieve this..?

Issue in implementing Dynamic participant chooser process Step

I am facing issue in implementing Participant chooser process Step.
I want to create dynamic Participant chooser process Step, I have implemented 'ParticipantStepChooser' class and overwrote 'getParticipant' method. But this process did not appear in Dynamic participant chooser dropdown in CQ5.6 environment.
I deployed same code in CQ5.5 and process appeared in Dynamic participant chooser dropdown.

How to assign Action to multiple Users dynamically in GP

I have the following scenario in GP
I have created a Web Dynro GP Callable Object and from my Web Dynpro i need to a pass a list of Users to which a particular Action needs to be assigned.
I am able to return a single value from web dynpro to gp.
Can some one help me how to return a list of users to gp.
I have done the following: In the getDescription method I have added an attribute of multiplicity 1_N:
IGPStructureInfo outputStruct = technicalDescription.getOutputStructureInfo();
IGPAttributeInfo list1 = outputStruct.addAttribute("List1", IGPAttributeInfo.BASE_STRING);
list1.setMultiplicity(IGPAttributeInfo.MULITIPLICITY_1_N);
then in the complete method I am trying to set an Arraylist to this variable:
IGPStructure output = execContext.getOutputStructure();
output.setAttributeValue("List1", userList);
Here userList is an Arraylist which contains the list of User Id's..
However I get the following exception:
com.sap.caf.eu.gp.exception.api.GPInvocationException: Multiplicity of attribute with name List1 and namespace null does not allow single values to be set/received
at com.sap.caf.eu.gp.structure.impl.GPStructure.setAttributeValue(GPStructure.java:114)
Can someone help me in knowing how I can return a list as an output parameter to GP from Web Dynpro...

Hi Srinivasan,
Of course the Role is Runtime defined...
I would brief you again the mapping that I have performed in the Design time at the processlevel.
From Web Dynpro I return a List of type String and Multiplicity 1..N.
I map this List with the leaf item User Identifier contained in the User List Input parameter of the Assign User to Process Role callable object.
However since the User Identifier parameter is of cardinality 0..1 only the first value in the returned list is getting assigned to it. Thus the task is getting assigned to only one user.
Now it is not possible in Design time to Group or consolidate parameters of different types. Thus the List which is of type String cannot be mapped to User List or the User_Item contained within it which are both of type Structure and multiple cardinality.
I even created a Structure in Web Dynpro of cardinality 1..N and withing it i included a List of type String and cardinality 1..N. Now I returned this Structure from Web Dynpro and tried to map it to the User Item Structure of the Assign User to Process Role Callable object, but doint this the task did not get assigned to any user..
One question:
Don't you think that in order for the task assignment to happen using the Assign User to Process Role Callable Object the leaf item User Identifier parameter contained in the User_List input parameter of this callable object needs to be populated with the required User Id's.
But if the cardinality of this parameter is always 0..1 , is it possible to achive the assignment of an Action to multiple Users at runtime using this Callable Object?
Can you please explain the parameter mapping you followed in order to achive this...

Error during Parforeach dynamic processing!

Hello All:
Hope to have some input to an unsolvable error in the workflow template that I have developed.
I have developed a workflow in which I am using a block with parforeach dynamic parallel processing and in that block I am displaying notification of absence. IN the block I have created a task which displays notification of absence.
I have maintained User_ID(this is a multiline container element which has multiple user ids) as my parallel processing multi-line element so that all the users entered in the User_ID element can access the workitem. Now I was able to create different work items for all the users entered , but when any one of the user is accessing the work-item, the work flow is getting in the error status with the following error log messages.
Flow item Test Worflow for dynamic block (Workflow 000000033121) has the status "Error"

JOIN entry missing for fork on node 0000000008
Error when loading the callback component (work item 000000033126)

User_ID is entered as Multiline element.
In the control tab of block, (Note: USER_ID is the multielement)

In the display absence step of block, I am assigning in the Agents area of the control tab as: &_USER_ID_LINE&
Now, when I execute the workflow, I am able to see that the work-items are sent to the respective agent inboxes given in the USER_ID element and when I execute(display absence form) any one of it , the workflow is set to error status giving the above mentioned errors.
Please help me. I am missing any binding elements??
Do I need to add any JOIN in my dynamic step??

Hmmmm.... well you've correctly assigned the multiline container element and the binding between workflow and container. However the way you have assigned the agents is a little suspicious - as it relies on a guaranteed order of processing. That might be what is confusing the workflow.
Try the following instead.
a) Put your task into a subflow.
b) Call the subflow using the parforeach processing
I think you'll find this less problematic.
Also be careful to watch what you are passing back from the task to the workflow - you don't want any deadlocks here. Either don't pass anything back, or pass back the values into a table using the APPEND binding option rather than the usual assign (just select the arrow button in the binding).

Assigning roles to Parallel dynamic block-multiusers

I am using PDB in that one sequential block is used , which I am assigning to multiple users.I have assigned the role in Process- Default role tab.
Parallel dynamic block
Sequential block
Action1----
assigning multiuser
Every thing is working fine except when PDB will execute it will go to all users UWL but one user will complete the process, other user's process will not be able to complete the process.that process will end there.
Do you have any guideline for this?

Hi Yogesh,
Select the sequential block(body block) under the PDB and open the Roles tab. There select the option "Filled From Conext Parameter" and in the drop-down that appears select the user id. You must have an input parameter defined for all the COs present under the PDB type string and which is mapped to a username/role/group at parameter grouping.

In my wdj coding i created a variable user and assigned this parameter for the role of that action.
But the problem is it is not going to the multiple users.
pls suggest me if there is some other solutions to do this.....

I have a scenario in GP,
An initiator will make request and he/she want to get approval from multiple approvers. So the request want to go multiple users at a time.
Here I tried this with one Sequential block and a Parallel dynamic block.
In Sequential block I created inputform callable object using webdynpro DC and in Parallel dynamic block also created approval form using webdynpro DC.
Here i am facing a problem, while reaching the form to approval users, if any of the approver open it executed and submitted all other approver actions are also terminating or the inbox content is disapearing.
I want to exit from the Parallel dynamic block only after finishing all of the approvers submition.
Is any setting or modifications can be done to achieve this?
If anybody knows about this problem please reply me.

Hi Sajith
I think you are attaching multiple users to the same action (having approval form Callable Object). This will send the action to multiple approvals, but the process will be terminated on approval from any one of the multiple approvers. Due to this the request goes off from other approver's inbox.
I think for your scenario you can have a sequential block in which you pass the approver action to next approver only when the previous approver has approved it. You can do this by keeping a decision dialog process control, which gives you two actions approve and reject.
This will send the initiators request to multiple approvers and for the last approver you can terminate the process.
Parallel Dynamic Block is used for a scenario where you have to take a vote or survey, in this case you pass the survey document to multiple users (and multiple users are decided at runtime).

GP task dissappers in parallel dynamic block

I want to use gp workflow using webdynpro development component callabale objects.
The flow is an initiator will initiate a task , it goes to 3 different users only after the three approvers have approved, it should move to the third single approver.
So i have used parallel dynamic block in the second step and the callable object is of webdynpro development component type .Now when an initiator initiates a task the three approves are getting the task.If any one approves also the task disappers form the other two users and moves to the next level.
I want the task to be moved to the next level only after if all the three users have approved.
please help....

I tried to use PDB (Parallel dynamic block). But it is behaving differently that, I assigned action to 3 users and then the task is appearing in all of the 3 users uwl.But while any of the one user started working on that then remaining users uwl task got disappeared or seems locked or terminated. I did not understand why it is happening like this. can you please help me to solve this issue.
My process structure is mentioning below:
Process
Init Block (Sequential block)
Input action
Block (PDB)
output block (parallel block)
output action
Is there any alternative way to do this if PDB will not solve this issue?
Is it possible to create actions dynamically in a block. suppose this block is creates statically as a parallel block.?

Thanks for ur response.But that form is not going parallel to same users.and i have other problem.If that form go to multiple users.
That form has to states Approved and rejected.Though any one of them rejected that process must be continuously.not to be terminated.
If u have any idea /if u worked on same Scenario pl z send document.
