Multisim library file of HART Modem AD5700 for simulation

Hello,
Can anybody give any assistance with simulation on Multisim using PIC 16F877A  with the HART communications on industry standard 4..20mA loops..
I am trying to simulate AD5700 HART Modem on Multisim along with PIC16F877A. I want to send serial data to AD5700 using UART interface  and then see the corresponding analog output signal varying in frequency (based on the binary data being sent to AD5700)  on HART_Output. Unfortunately, After searching too much, I could not find Multisim library file for AD5700 IC.
Can anyone tell me the way to simulate AD5700 on Multisim? or anyother to get out of that problem?
Thanks in advance  and waiting for your kind reply,

Hello UEC.1000,
I am not sure which version of Multisim you have, but I tried checking on the different versions and was able to confirm that the specific model that you require is not inside the Master Database. You can see this by following this link:
NI Multisim Components and Models
http://www.ni.com/white-paper/5607/en/
Since it appears to be that the component is not present in the database, I would like to show you the following link that might give you the workarounds.
Where do I Find New Components or Libraries for Multisim?

Thank you very much for your question, I really hope that this information help you.
Regards,
Luis.

  • Relocating the library file to ext. HD for more space

    Hello,
I think I need to move the 237GB library file to an external FW800 drive to open space on my internal drive.  Will Aperture have trouble finding the library? Will this create productivity problems in future?
Also, is a 237GB library file considered average, large, unreasonable?  I know "it depends" on many factors, but if the size of the library is slowing behavior and processing I want to decrease it.
    Thanks

I think I need to move the 237GB library file to an external FW800 drive to open space on my internal drive.  Will Aperture have trouble finding the library? Will this create productivity problems in future?
You can move your library to an external drive, no problem. Just make sure, the drive is formatted for Mac as MacOS Extended (Journaled) and directly connected. See this support article:
Use locally mounted Mac OS X Extended volumes for your Aperture library
To move the library, repair it as a precaution (see: Aperture 3 User Manual: Repairing and Rebuilding Your Aperture Library) and make a current backup, just in case.
Then drag the library to the external drive using the Finder.
Double-click the copy of the library on the external drive. This will point Aperture to the new library and open it in Aperture.  Test the library, if all transferred well.
if you are satisfied that all copied over well, you can delete the library from the internal drive.
Will this create productivity problems in future?
No,it will not. Only make sure, that you also make backups of the library on the external drive.
Also, is a 237GB library file considered average, large, unreasonable?  I know "it depends" on many factors, but if the size of the library is slowing behavior and processing I want to decrease it.
That is a moderately sized library. The larger the library, the longer basic maintainance like upgrading, repairing, rebuilding, backup  will take. For a library size beyond 1 TB rebuilding might take a whole day, and then it would be time to think about splitting the library.
But when working with the library the size of the library should not matter. I found that other thing may slow Aperture down a little, like too many smart albums with a scope of the whole library, or very large projects, or if disk space is getting low. Try to keep at least 20GB of disk space free on your system drive.

  • ITunes Library file content / format

I am using the iTunes library file to process song titles for a label program, and I have two questions about these files:
    1) There are two library files on my disk, Library.xml, and iTunes Music Library.xml. When double-clicked, the latter opens with Firefox, and the former opens in TextEdit. Library.xml is the file I use, which I parse with Perl and generate input for a PostScript label program. The question here, what is the purpose of these two files; i.e., how are they used by iTunes?
    2) I need to extract the Total Time and the Size parameters, which are given in (very large!) integer format. I have found that Size is nearly a constant multiple of Time, so apparently Time is redundant. Also, I can't make any sense of these numbers, except to use the resulting ratio for one and then to apply that ratio to all the others. When I do this, I get nearly accurate results, but they are always off by 3 to 5 seconds. As for the Size, I tried to make sense of the large integer in terms of sampling rate and size 44.1/16-bit), but without success. So, if anyone has the secret to these parameters, I would appreciate knowing it! Thanks much in advance for any help on this.
PS: I will post some specifics here if needed. For example, Total Time 182437 shows up in iTunes as 3:02 (182 seconds). The ratio here is 1,002.4010989011, which, when applied to another title with a Total Time of 222477 gives 221.9 seconds, or 3:42; this item shows up correctly in iTunes, but not all do when I use the same ratio.

Oops! I forgot that. My hunch was correct, though. Unix reports exactly the same sizes as the iTunes file. My error was not dividing by 1028. (I thought the finder was the culprit!) Thanks for all the help.
By the way, why are there two .xml files for the library? The Library.xml file is the one I am using, because the structure is pretty obvious in a text editor.
For your information, I belong to the Illini Folk Dance Society at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign Illinois. We have some 200 titles on 78 rpm records, already digitized, and approximately 600 or so on 45 rpm, which I am now in the process of recording. After that, there are many LP recordings to do (our total collection consists of approximately 3000 titles), although they can keep for a while. After lots of experimenting, I decided that the quality of the 78s and 45s merited the 44.1/16-bit recording levels, and that is working out nicely, and it keeps the files to a reasonable size. I started out with Garage Band (all the 78s were done that way), but got fed up with that pretty quickly, especially the tight link to iTunes, so when Audacity came along, I started using it, and am very happy with it. We have one 250 gig hard drive, and I plan to add another. Also, I plan to put everything on CDs, which is why the present project. I wrote a PostScript program to print the titles on the labels in circular arcs, and am writing a Perl script to parse out the titles and sizes, grouping things in sets that will fit on one CD. If you are interested in the PostScript program, I will gladly send it to you. The Perl script is fairly trivial.
Well, I just passed my 75th birthday, so I better get cracking! Cheers.

  • Once again - upgrading iTunes - reports library file damaged, all missing

So, I've finally figured it out. When ever I upgrade iTunes, the new version doesn't like the old library file and marks it as damaged.
All content is lost - as far as itunes is concerned. But it's right there on the hard drive. In the itunes folder.
Making a new library file and point the preferences to the content still results in nothing showing up.
No, I have not sync'd since this happened. I have many files in the itunes folders on my HD where the content is not loaded on my itv4.
Is there a magic key combo to have it 'look' at the actual HD contents in the itunes folded and 'find' it ?
No, holding down SHIFT when launching itunes and then creating a new file is not the solution, nor selecting the old library file (says it's damaged).

For general library squiffiness following an upgrade the easiest thing is to restore your last backup, but I guess if it were that simple you wouldn't be here.
    *Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash*
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the *Previous iTunes Libraries* folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename *iTunes Library.itl* as *iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl* and then rename the restored file as *iTunes Library*. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch (Windows) or Music Folder Files Not Added (Mac) and Super Remove Dead Tracks (Mac) for tools to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working *make a backup!*

  • Library files not updating

    Hi,
I have successfully used library files in my web pages for
years using a past version of Dreamweaver.
I have just started using Dreamweaver MX 2004, and whenever I
update a library file (that has already been inserted in an html
file) the html file is not updated. I started a new web site from
scratch, so am using only files that have been created by this
    version of Dreamweaver.
In other words, updating the library file only updates the
library file itself, and doesn't alter the html document that has
the library file inserted into it. This pretty much means that the
library file functionality in Dreamweaver MX 2004 is useless.
Was there a bug fix for this that I needed to get?
    Cheers

    Try this -
Use Site Manager to export this site definition to a place
    you can find.
Then REMOVE this site definition. Then IMPORT the one you
    just exported.
    Does it work now?
If it does not, can you confirm that your Library items are
    in a folder
named "Library" and that this folder is in the root level of
    the local site?
Also, are you uploading the local files after you have
    changed the Library
    item?

  • FORMS - library files

I am receiving the following message: "FRM- 40034: Cannot attach the library file"
I created a new library file and attached it to my FORM and put the library file on the network drive for all the users to us. However, when I execute the FORM the FORM runs correctly, but when another user executes the FORM for another PC, they receive the above message.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Is this client-server or web?
If client-server, the 2nd PC needs the registry key FORMS60_PATH to include the directory where the library is located.

  • Merging Itunes library files

I have all my music stored in one ITunes Media folder and have 2 different subsets of the music mapped to 2 different Ipods (so each subset has its own Itunes library file). I'm looking for an easy way to merge 2 different Itunes library files (so to have the music from the 2 ipods in one single library).
The 2 methods I know of are both cumbersome.
The first is to take the first library and add in it all the folders of the artists that compose the second library.
The second is to create a library with all my music and then to suppress everything I don't want in there.
    Thanks.

  • Windows C drive check deleted my iTunes library file!

My laptop (HP HDX 16 running Vista) was having trouble resuming from sleep mode and I had to do a forced shut down. Upon booting up, it started to check my C drive for errors, and for some reason, deleted my iTunes Library file (it literally said it was doing that). Now my iTunes is completely empty, and the last backed up library file is from months ago. Is there any way to get my iTunes back to the way it was earlier today?!

    Hi rpvee,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
Depending on which library file was deleted from your computer, you may be able to rebuild the iTunes library.
See the "Re-creating the iTunes Library file" section of this article for the instructions:

  • After upgrading to the latest version of itune, I get this message when trying to open itunes: "The I'tunes Library File is locked, on a locked disk, or you do not have permission to write for this file.

After importing the latest version of itune, I now get this message:  "The I-tunes library file is locked, on a locked disk , or you do not have permission to write for this file.  How do I resolve this?

check if you have read & write permissions for your music folder. in the finder, right-click on it and get info. unlock the little padlock (you may have to enter your admin password) and change the permission settings if necessary. next, click on the little gear-shaped icon and apply to enclosed items like so
the important part is to apply to enclosed items !

Look in your Home > Music folder.  There should be an iTunes folder there and it should have a number of files and folders including one called library.itl  You want to guide iTunes to that file.  If you don't see that file or folder then in your next post you will have to be very specific as to what you do see or how you have your iTunes set up because that's where it should be according to default settings.

    You can't do that.
And before you decide to store any music that you own on a computer at work, talk to your IT department. Many organizations do not permit it for legal reasons. Standard policies are that anything stored on company owned computers is the property of the company. It could not be legally stored on their machines unless you transfer the licenses and all copies, physical and digital, to the company, meaning you no longer own the music. If they were to be audited and could not prove that they own the music, they would be subject to copyright violation penalties. Just use your iPod when you're at the office if you want to listen to music.
