Music manager problem

What version of Windows is being used? Windows XP Home
What Service Pack is installed? SP2
What version of PC Suite is installed? 6.84.10.3
What is the connection method, cable, bluetooth or IR? cable
the problem lies with converting mp3 files to mobile optimized formats. after copying two items to the phone, i try to convert and it works. but there is only 1 conversion process that is allowed. after which the music manager just keeps on placing a pending status on the file.
is there a way to convert files directly? before i switched to the updated version of pc suite everything was working well. now im starting to regret why i switch to this version.

nevermind, fixed it, music manager is a waste of time like trying to get an answer out of you **bleep**ing euro **bleep**

  • Nokia music manager problems with Nokia 6230 model...

Hello. Recently I installed the newer version of nokia PC-Suite, the version 6.8.22. I have a nokia 6230 model HS-12 with HS-3 handsFree attached. Make the connection via Bluetooth (SMC USB Bluetooth) over a Windows XP SP2 system. The connection works fine.
The problem arrives with the new MusicManager software.
First, the playlists that this program creates, generates a error in mi phone. It says "Invalid tracklist". Surfing the web, the problem was that MusicManager generates the playlist entries (in the phone) refers to C:\ and D:\ (this for the MMC), when the phone internally works with unities A:\ and B:\. Changing "manually" the playlist it works, so if any people with design responsabilities read this, please take note.
Second, when convert my .MP3 files into .AAC files, the program converts the files into a .AAC but in MONO !! The music only sound in one channel, when the .MP3 is full stereo. Really, the conversion is in Stereo, but only converts one channel. The other remains muted. I have no idea of this problem. I listen the "mono" files in any Windows player, even at the phone.
If any people can help me, or have similar problems, or need more information please make a reply.
    Thanks.

    Hi
The tracklist stuff with 6230 (Ive owned a 6230 before) is a very difficult procedure, because it is not a drag and drop process from PC to phone. You have to giggle and dive onto the Audio Manager app in PC Suite where you have to find the Playlist folder in your phone memory and place all playlists there to be able to be recognized by the phone. Simple drag and drop will not work (like the m3u is in the MMC).
About your mono problem, I haven't checked out this feature of Music Manager because I still think its purely buggy even of the newer features and new face it has now. Better use other music software to transcode your MP3's such as dbpoweramp's Music Converter software (its free trial for 30 days, after that the MP3 encoding and Power Pack features are useless, if you download other codecs, you can use them after the trial.)
    cheers.
The world might be a better place if you were I.

  • Nokia Music Manager Problem

So I scanned for music on my computer and the program populated the list however it only populated the Album, Artist, Genre, Length, and Size field for only 1/4 of the music on the list, the others are left blank. I checked the tags using mp3tag and the information is all there. What do I do?
Also is there another program I can use to get the music on my phone? Is itunes possible?
    Thanks

  • Problem with Nokia Music Manager 2.0 converting mp...

    Hi everyone!
I have a problem using the Nokia Music Manager 2.0. I want to convert some mp3-files into "Mobile Optimized Format". If a start conversion it fails and says Track cannot be converted because it is already in the target format or file format is not supported. However, the files worked on my previous computer with WinXP. Now I'm using Vista Business. The conversion will always proceed to 50% and break then. I have the feelng it's a problem with the rights to write the new file. Running it with administrative rights or in compatibility mode did not either.
    Can anyone provide help?
    Thanks!

i'm having the same problem... ever since nokia upgraded pc suite a few months ago, and i had to get a new version due to a problem with my computer, i can't put music onto my phone using the music manager 2.0. so i've been just copying them in their mp3 formats but of course it's alot more space that could be saved if i could have them in the AAC+ pr M4A formats.
i checked out download.com (they offer alot of free to try and free in general programs) and i searched for mp3 to m4a
i found this program " Abcc Free Music to MP3 AMR AAC OGG Converter 3 "
I downloaded it, which only took maybe 5 minutes, and then installed it (another maybe 2-3 minutes)
I'm trying the program now and.... IT WORKS.
i just converted about 6 pm3's to m4a's and it took about 3-4 minutes. try it !

  • Problem with n95 pc suite music manager

when i load up pc suite and click on music manager to transfer music files from my pc to my phone it shows up for about 10 secs and automatically closes by itself, every other one is fine except install applications which does the same thing but i can update my contacts, view images, messages and the lot apart from music manager and applications, so basically i cant transfer any music on to my phone now plus i even tried uninstalling the old version and installing the updated version of pc suite but its still same thing.

if you use file transfer...it should be on your memory card where the files should be save...and if you are using n95 8GB...you can then try to move the files from memory to your phone's internal memory...but i think..music player is smart enough to display all the music files transferred to your mobile...not unless file is not supported...that's the case with my n73ME..all music file i transferred can all be seen in the music player..i suggest you just refresh library...or move the files to folder where other music files visible in the music library...good luck
some aint missing a good thing til its gone...

  • Nokia Music Manager - help please

Hi, sorry if this may have been covered previously, I have looked but couldn't find anything relevant.
My problem is that I save all my music on my pc in one folder and I have about 600 tracks.
I installed Nokia Music Manager recently and now when I open my music folder I can see that approx 50 of my previously mp3 tracks are now of file type "Nokia Music Manager" and not mp3. I have tried converting them to back to mp3 using Itunes which works but in my music folder they still show as NMM.
I don't have a problem with them showing NMM in itunes as I can update my ipod fine, it's just when I want to burn an mp3 disc using Nero that it doesn't work - Nero can't find these NMM files in my music folder and it's doing my head in.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Matt

Please explain your problem more detailed.

I am having the same problem with my 6233. Apparently it is not compatible with Nokia music store, but the Nokia music application in PC suite that I have just downloaded will not recognise it either. All other applications in this version of PC suite will work ok with it. How do I revert to the old style music manager in order to dreate playlists etc. Also, the new music application has installed as the default music player on my PC, how do I stop this and change it? Nokia seem to have made things difficult for users of older model phones.
    Can anyone help us please.

  • Music manager can't convert music shows status pen...

I'm trying to convert mp3 files to M4A files with music manager 1.0 When I select the files I want to convert and click 'File>Convert to mobile optimised format' the status goes to 'Pending' and does not get any further.
I am using PC suite 6.8 on Windows XP sp2 with a N91 on USB.

I have the new upgrade of PCSUITE and I got the same problem to convert MP3 to M4U or ACC to my NOKIA 3250
In tha last version of PCSUITE I had no problem in converting MP3 to ACC with the NOKIA 6682...
With this upgrade I can only got 1 file converted... further more the program says: pending and it doesn't advance from there...
even if I let the program running for an hour... I just had to close and cancel all operations of the music manager...
or it send me a message error and close by itself...
the message only says... there was an error with music manager and it should be closed.. or something like that...

  • Drag and drop album art in Nokia Music Manager

Hi there, I am just making my first steps with the Nokia Music Manager (NMM). After converting my music files to the m4a format I want to add the album art. There is a little field on the bottom of the screen of the NMM called "Drop graphic here" (don't no exactly the wording - I have the german version). I have tried different ways but nothing happens. What do I do wrong?
    Kind regards

    Hi.
Had the same problem and couldn't find anything anywhere, just stupid workarounds using wmp & itunes and **bleep**.
    Solution is very simple
You can only drag'n'drop album art onto songs which are in 'My Collection'.
So... Copy your mp3's to the 'My Collection' view and it should work.
This also enables the 'Edit' function in Nokia Music Manager which lets you edit tags aswell as album art.
    Hope this helps...

Goggles Music Manager v0.9.11 is out with the following improvements:
      - Support embedded cover art in flac files (jpg and png only).
      - Support last-fm 'now playing' notification.
      - Use "ALBUMARTIST" tag in Ogg / FLAC files and TPE2 for id3v2 tags for artist.[Tag reading only]
      - Support album art in notification to notify-daemon.[D-Bus enabled version only]
      - DBus enabled version now also support the ability to control a running gmm from the command line.
It's still using FOX and still as ugly as some people think it is
Nevertheless, it still beats the new Banshee regarding memory use and performance
Thank you very much for the ALBUMARTIST tag...
You should know tho, that the TPE2 tag has been misused... its only used by itunes and windows media player and some others. The problem: TPE2 tag was originally created for BAND/ORCHESTRA informations, which has nothing to do with ALBUMARTIST...
An alternative would be a user-chosen tag for the albumartist. Ogg/flac/mpc can do this anyway. and id3v2 has the TXXX tag for that matter.
Also do you think you will add some kind of playlist at some point? would be nice, if one could queue songs from different albums... (probably even multiple playlists as in tabs?) (Think like: mark songs: Send to playlist -> blabla)
Regarding the FOX toolkit: i dont mind. Its VERY fast, which is a nice thing. Of course it would be nice if it integrated better with gtk and/or qt, but none of those 2 can match the speed of FOX.
P.S.: Any news on the replaygain tag info reading?
    Some info: http://wiki.hydrogenaudio.org/index.php … Replaygain
just make sure to support the tag based approach of mp3gain too... because mp3gain has both options -  modifying the actual audio data and writing tags.
P.P.S: Another thing i want to suggest is some kind of plugin architecture... not sure if you designed gmm in a way that makes this possible. But if the possibility is there gmm is actually VERY close to foobar2000, which is a real compliment by the way

  • 10.5.6 + iRiver Music Manager = Kernel Panic

After upgrading to 10.5.6 (via the Combo Updater), when I run the iRiver Music Manager (http://iriverinc.com/support/ultra/iFP-manager-mac.aspx) software running, and plug in my iRiver ifp-899 MP3 player via USB, I get an immediate kernel panic[*]. Very repeatable. I submitted a bug report (http://developer.apple.com/bugreporter/bugrptform.html).
Anyone encounter this problem? Any workarounds? Anyone have experience using the open source IFP driver under OS X (http://ifp-driver.sourceforge.net/)?

Thinking about this since last night - I haven't tried the opensource driver mentioned in Jaime's post - and since it hasn't been worked on for some time - I'm not sure it is worth the effort. However, I still want to use this player so I believe the best course is to change to the UMS version of the firmware and just use it as direct USB device. The main objection I see on the discussions on the net are that the recording funtion in that mode is extremely limited. I don't use it for recording, so it isn't an issue. Other than that - it would continue to operate as an MP3 player.
It will require me to drag out my old Windows laptop - the Music Manager program is what is used to change the firmware. But, at this point, the player is unusable and frankly - I think we're too small a community for anyone to care about our problem any time soon.
