Music Settings screwed up

hey,
I'm in desperate need of help.
I own a Z1(along with a J and C).
I was playing around with my set yesterday and ended up changing my music(Custom) settings and now it's all bad.
I had amazing sound on my beats hd solo headphones, now i can barely hear bass, and songs the have been recieved via watsapp. Could you please share the complete music settings "custom" with me?
And also the other things to be selected and deselected like the "clear audio" or "dynamic equalizer".
Please help asap
Thanks.

Hi! For me, the Clear Audio + makes it worse so I use my customised sound settings like this: Dynamic Normalizer ON, In Equalizer: 400 Hz=+9, 1kHz=+6, 2,5kHz=+1, 6kHz=+7 and finally 16kHz=+9 , in settings, the surround sound is set to stereo, clear stereo:ON, ClearPhase: ON and xLoud: ON.
ClearAudio+: OFF all the way
Of course, all these settings depend on you headphones but you can try and adjust just a little.
Have fun !
With an XPERIA smartphone from Sony, freedom is in your hands!

  • IPhoto Slideshow music settings/Front Row

I recently purchase a Mac Mini to use as a media center PC. I have imported photo's into iPhoto and configured slide shows with appropriate music ... in iPhoto all these settings work fine. When I access these photo's via Front Row
however, each of the slide shows plays with Minuet in G and my iPhoto music settings are ignored. any thoughts would be most welcome on how to have my iPhoto slide show music recognized with Front Row.
    Thanks,
    Paul

Well I may have found my answer ... If I run slideshows in Front Row from
Photos/Events I have the Minuet in G problem ... if I create albums in iPhoto and run the Event from within an album, the music selected in this album slideshow holds in Front Row ... at any rate it works for me!

  • IPhoto Book Slideshow Music Settings Not Working

When I try to view a Photo book as a slideshow, a default guitar music track plays. When I uncheck "Play music" the music still plays. When I try to change the music, the default guitar track still plays. It seems the music settings are not holding or being recognized. Curiously, I do not have these issues when viewing an standard photo "album" or other group of images in iPhoto, only when viewing my Photo books. Is this a bug?

Is any of the music purchased from the iTunes Store?

  • MUSIC  SETTINGS ALWAYS REVERTS TO CANNED THEME MUSIC

MUSIC SETTINGS. Always reverts to the canned “Theme Music” which comes with iPhoto. No matter what I do to insert my own choice of a Music Setting, I get “Endless Summer” and “Hey Now,” etc. Under “Play Music During Slideshow,” I insert my own selection (Benny Goodman) and check it as the “Source.” But when I do the Slideshow, it ignores Benny Goodman and goes back to “Endless Summer,” etc.

Sorry hope this helps, was a little confusing, I was trying to give a possible solution to the problem. I think it's could be an easy fix.
I just tried it. It dose work, you'll have to take off repeat and play with the seconds a bit. I got my real close to the end of the pic an song so, I just added an extra pic and it worked.
    1) First time the pics as best you can with the fit to music option on.
    2) Now turn the fit to music off and set the "play each slide for --seconds" to the number you timed. Remember that you can also set seconds and milliseconds as well.
    3) Then play the slideshow (you do not have to wait till the end of the song to see how it ends, just scroll the cursor to the bottom of the screen and select the last picture, the song and the pics will forward correctly) the see how close you are to the end of the song and the picture matching. If it doesn't match, modify step 2 and repeat 3 till it's as close as possible if not right on it.
    4) If it never matches up perfectly, then consider adding another picture and repeating the process as each picture will added will give you a slight variation in timing, or as someone suggested, add a black picture to use as a fade to black.

  • New option in music settings of ipod

Can apple create in new Patch for ios ipod option that will pause playback when volume set to 0 in ipod touch?

Agreed with roaminggnome. Can they? Sure. Will they? Good luck! People have been trying to get them to add some very basic and very widely called for things such as the ability to hide certain factory icons (stocks, game center, etc)... that'd be so, rudimentary, but they just won't do it for some reason. Another would be, say... toggles for frequently used functions like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G, etc. Again, users have come up with hacks (literally, by opening special internalized URL strings in Safari, then waiting for it to open settings and go to that screen). Again, users shouldn't be having to create homebrew hacks for such asinine, basic functionalities... but Apple rules the iWorld, and if they have their reasons for not wanting to do something, they won't do it.
I would personally find toggles for those mentioned above to fit perfectly at the top of the notification center (or wherever you choose to place them there, as well as an option to place the click-click-slide right to get to track controls, slide again to get to volume/airplay) -- vice versa as well -- have the option to place the toggles down where the music controls can be currently accessed. I think their task manager, while better than "no task manager" still could use some drastic user experience changes. Maybe an option to access the tasks via touch alone. I hate the button, it always clicks not enough or too many times. I can almost guarantee it'll disappear next generation... it's mechanical... (obviously the entire thing is mechanical) but it's a heavily used, pressure variance, open (crap can get in/around the button) causing malfunction or just... mal-experience for the user.
I may seem like I have a bit of a chip on my shoulder towards Apple, and I do right now... for good reason. They've still yet to fully fix the battery issues in their BRAND NEW product, and my iPhone 4 (no S) also now experiences major battery drain (it didn't with 5.0! ironic that the "battery fix" 5.0.1 firmware cut my battery life into about 1/3 or 1/4th instantly) -- and don't get me started about the stupid Wi-Fi sync error 0x000000074 or whatever it is that basically has made a good deal of users just have to shut off wi-fi sync. That was a major sell of the iOS 5!
Two MAJOR issues that are going on several months without resolution. I'm now considering doing something that I never (LOL, how ironic. The very error I'm complaining about pops up midsentence, interrupting me! I love it!) -- never before considered and that's jailbreaking my device now that courts have made it legal. I just hope I can downgrade to 5.0 firmware again. I have well... I'll not get into that but let's just say that I always stay prepared keeping backups of things I need lest Apple present another such fiasco as this.
The truly bothersome part about it all is that you can contact support all you want, or go look at the discussions that hundreds of users are posting to with horror stories, probably 100 pages easily (each) the threads on these invisible issues (to Apple).
I considered buying an iPhone 4S -- and was capable of doing so then and there -- but it took about 2-3 seconds of consideration before I remembered they haven't fixed the battery issue, the wi-fi sync issue, and I think their non-chalant attitude towards customer service (online at least, there are no "Genius Bars" within 100 miles of here, so I can't even tell you what one of those looks like) -- their attitude is poor. Their products are excellent and obviously I have bought in, and do enjoy the Apple devices I own, but as of now, no more Apple products for me until I (doubtfully) see an about face in their treatment of major issues (aka, "man up, Apple"! Admit there's a problem, and diligently work to fix it!) Don't deny the problem exists for 1-2 months, then say OK, it exists, but only for a super fractional like .000001% of users (using skewed statistics and non-logical conclusions and statements) -- then when the problem gets to be undeniable, take several more months to put out the first of 3-4 "fixes" before it finally resolves the issue (usually only partially, though).
So yep. As a Systems/Network Admin for some fairly decent sized companies (hundreds of employees each times nearly 50-100 companies on a need-based or maintenance/monitoring of their servers/backup systems, etc)-- Apple is getting some pretty bad publicity, as hundreds and hundreds of people who rely on my opinion in their decisioning process; as often they are not as technically saavy or educated/up-to-date on the latest happenings in the tech world (they have other things to worry about, that's what I/my coordinating admins are there for)... who are also quite displeased, btw.
Apple, you need to get it together and stop worrying about top dollar on your devices and start worrying about your customers, or your empire (granted, your vast... monolithic empire) will fall again. Remember, you almost were a mockery for a while, until the trend of the iMac picked you up a little, then your life saver... the iPod and its decendants saved your arse from oblivion). Any company who doesn't treat customers with respect, an open mind and a listening ear... will fall. Maybe not today, maybe not this decade... but longevity is not a blessing upon those who treat customers as pests.
So I've dissuaded probably 20... 25 people from buying an iPhone 4S or an iPad. Eh. Nothing to you... but when their children need phones, there's a good chance it could be Android. After all, I don't just slander and libel companies when I have empirical evidence that these problems exist, and have existed for months, leaving your hardware and software in a state of frankly, an "unusable" state for some users... others, like me, just grit their teeth and charge their iPhone for the 4th time that day, even though they've done everything possibly to limit the functionality of their device to use as little power as possible! It just works? What does? If it just worked I wouldn't be too scared to upgrade my other iPhone and iPod Touch to iOS 5. I refuse to do it until I am positive I can downgrade/preserve baseband or whatever I need to do; jailbreak it, so be it -- if you're not going to fix the problem, I can at least back down my firmware a notch to when I could charge my phone once a day instead of every few hours!
You've got one very dissatisfied customer here, but you'll never hear my tiny little ant voice in your sea of millions of iPhone users oblivious to what is actually going on or what is or isn't "normal" behavior! Some people think 3 hours of light usage is "good/acceptable". I had a friend (well, more than one) who did not know that heat was a battery's enemy. She would constantly leave it in her glovebox or in her car (where the ambient temps reach over 100 degrees F, much less the interior of a closed car -- her old battery lasted 30 minutes on a full charge. It was ridiculous. So, to her... 3-4 hours was fantastic!
Little does she know the specs read 8 hours TALK TIME give or take a margin for a new battery, and what.. 10 hours for the 4S, out of just recall memory? What a dream that would be! Trust me, friends... I have it all cut down to the bare minimum... push is off, I'm down to manual or (sorry iTunes error again...) 1 hour fetch. Screen is always at lowest possible brightness unless I'm out in the sun and physically cannot see the screen... Bluetooth is off at all times and is only cut on when in use then immediately shut off... push notifications are shut down to bare minimum that I can functionally handle... wifi is off when i'm in the car... 3g is off when I'm using wi-fi... location services, dare I even try to use those, I know better... I do a full cycle each month... in fact.. i have to do one every day! Multiple times! Every accessory is stock, so I'm not screwing it up with cheap $1.00 cables and chargers... and I keep the phone cool as possible at all times, esp during charging I keep wary. It's like having an infant to monitor. It really is.
Sorry to complain so much. It obviously just hit a nerve this morning. Here's one of my best buddies:
now make that pop up every 5-10 minutes, modal dialog box, of course, so it has to be dismissed before anything will continue. Most of the time I just have to discover it behind all the Windows. I've grown to expect it actually, so I'm pretty good at guessing what the problem is when all my stuff stops working. Not Windows anymore! (The same error exists on OS X as well, btw... so it's not just a "PC problem").
Typing alo-----.... (keyboard stops responding) AWWWW look who it is!!! Alright, I'll hit your OK button! Why do I even have iTunes open? I don't anymore unless I forget to close it after adding content. Probably should use something like the Birdie competition, or I wonder if the foobar2000 plugin works solid with iOS 5 yet? Ditch this garbage. I need to find an appropriate place to put this where it will be properly ignored by customer service and other Apple tech support. I suppose.... right here is fine.... inconspicuous, easily ignored... good as anywhere else, not like they give a you know what anyways about their customers... hundreds of them... having relentless software (so it seems, considering mine used to work respectably until firmware update) issues preventing them from using their expensive phone as a functional piece of electronic equipment... was an Apple fan. Now well... just look at the name, right? I'm done unless they clean their act really fast.
Enjoy your day, fellow stricken souls! May iLuck be on your side!

  • ITunes music all screwed up

    Hello.
I like to think of myself as a very proficient Macintosh user. However, from time to time, things stump me. This is one of those things.
So, I was manually adding some folders (the way iTunes likes to organize them, by artist titled folders) in the proper directory (iTunes was open) but my songs didn't show up. So, I closed it and opened it back up again. Nope, nothing. So I moved the iTunes Database File (what is this file??? please explain what this is even for..) one directory up. Big mistake... All my stuff was gone. So I thought that at this point it wasn't too bad, because I thought I could reverse it back. I was wrong. I moved it back and it just converted the original database file to the new one (the one with no songs)! So now I have a new database file that has lost all the information that I needed. Maybe I would better understand the issue if I knew what those were really for. But aha! I didn't stop there. I impulsively trashed iTunes' .plist file. Now I was really in for it! Not only were all my songs "gone" (I know, I know, they're not gone, I have them all neatly organized in folders by artists, it's just that iTunes can't see them) but I was about to go through a set up wizard. But I didn't stop there! I completed the setup wizard, making one mistake along the way: To have iTunes search for my music for me and import it. So now I have every audio file being imported into my library, but they would go in by doubles, triples, and sometimes even quadruples! I got really scared then. iTunes gave me a warning saying that there wasn't enough room for it to copy all the music into it's library. Good! I don't want it to! (Does it mean copy, literally? Like duplicate? Would that explain the pairs that were imported?) So now I am really all screwed up. Ahh, the consequences of mucking with files you shouldn't be mucking around with. While it was determining gapless playback information, I stopped it. Somehow, the duplicates went away, I think. But there are still lots left. What should I do? Where can I startover? I don't like this! I just want the music in my iTunes music folder to be put into my library exactly how it is. Acutally, it's quite similar to the request of this http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=854588&tstart=0 user. (Sorry, I don't know how to make hyperlinks)
    Can anybody offer ANY suggestions?
    Thanks for your time,
    Sam M.

If I remember your problems started when you moved things from within the Finder. The plist was just fine. If you trash the plist then iTunes will generate a fresh default plist. You will need to set your prefs before continuing. The Library file is related to the data base of tunes not your prefs. The plist is related to your prefs and not your Library file.
You should be able to open iTunes - blank library in the main window then 'add' the tunes back into the library. You can use the File menu 'Add to Library' (+O) or you can navigate via the finder to the tunes and drop them into the main iTunes window. +O is the easiest for me. You will get the same result. Navigate from within iTunes - not the Finder. iTunes will ask you the path.
Now comes the potential messy part. If you grab an folder that has multiple albums in it - i.e.: Beatles White album + Sgt. Peppers - and add those to the library at the same time you will likely get the tunes out of album order- iTunes will add a couple of White Album then a couple of Sgt. Peppers then a couple of White etc. If using the 'Date Added' as the view then it looks really disorganized. So if that is a view that you normally use and order is important to you then it will take some time to add tunes back in an orderly fashion. If order is not important and using the sort by 'Album' is suitable for you then never mind. Try a couple and you will see what I mean. You can add multiple folders back at the same time if you want.

  • IPhoto Slideshow music settings

Hi, I'm new to this after just installingiPhoto '06. I tried to create a slideshow with a music background. I have read all the "help" ideas but nowhere on my screen can I find the "settings" button to add music from my collection. Am I dumb or what ? Help Please.

    Hi outrigger,
What kind of slideshow? Did you do an "on the fly" by selecting an album and hitting the play button? Did you do a permanent slideshow by selecting an album and hitting the slideshow icon? If you make the window bigger do you see the Music icon for the permanent slideshow?

  • On my new Lion iMac:Recovering and importing photos, music, settings

I have just bought a new iMac with Lion installed. Migration from my old Intel iMac with Snow Leopard was completed successfully, but when I went to import my photos, bookmarks, mailboxes and all the other files and settings from the old iMac I found they were all greyed out and inaccessible. I repeated migration, but to no avail. Old iMac was backed up to an external hard drive, so I connected that to the new iMac,but it just all deleted the old back-ups. The one exception, my music, films/TV shows, podcasts & iPad/iPhone apps were successfully imported to iTunes on the new Mac. My main priority is the photo collection as I invested in the new Mac with its 4 gig RAM to be able to edit large image files more effectively. Would appreciate some advice/tips.

The operation suggested in the Transferring files advice page seemed a bit overwhelming to me. I contacted Apple Support UK and they advised downloading the Migration Assistant update for Snow Leopard and repeating the migration. This I did, but it has made no difference, except I now have two lots of inaccessible/unretrievable data on the hard drive and three user accounts when I only need, and want one. The only photo albums that seem to be available are those from 2007 and before. Application icons & file names (Safari, iPhoto) are greyed out and some of the folders have a red circle on them like a no entry sign. A disc permissions repair appears not to have helped. Apple Support are now shut down until Monday except for iPhone help, so I'm stuck at the moment.

  • TouchSmart IQ546T Music "Settings" won't allow me to change my library to itunes

I would like to use my Itunes Library instead of the HP Touchsmart Library, I've seen/read all the tutorials about changing the library under "settings" but the icon to click "Use my Itunes Media Library" is greyed out and won't allow me to change to that setting. I verified that the location of my library was in the "music" folder. What am I doing wrong? Thanks

There are a number of possible problems:
    1. If you use Preview to copy the pix you might not have actually gotten the picture onto the Clipboard, so there is nothing to paste. You can check this by either "Show Clipboard" from the Finder's Edit menu, or try pasting first onto a new folder. If it doesn't paste into the folder let us know. It could be that you haven't gotten the desired picture "active" in Preview--if, for instance, it is an icns file you need to select the 128x128 icon and then click in the actual picture part of Preview's window, then copy.
    2. If your picture is indeed on the Clipboard and will paste onto a folder, but you can't paste onto the drive because the wee GetInfo icon won't highlight you've got a permissions problem. I've had luck changing the icon by TEMPORARILY giving Everyone read and write permissions to the drive, using GetInfo.
As a last resort you will have to use the Terminal, there are several different things you can do, of various levels of complexity.

  • Import music settings, tags, check v unchecked, ratings etc

I moved all my itunes music to an external HD and then reimported. I thought that I would be able to then import the settings from my previous itunes session. For example, I went through all my songs and unchecked the ones that I did not want to sync. The only thing I seem to be able to do is import the previous playlists (which is useless as I was using smart playlists that were dependent on import date, check vs unchecked, star rating etc). This is a major issue. Can someone please help. Thanks

    Hi, welcome to Apple Discussions.
Certain data such as play counts, ratings and playlist membership is only ever stored in the main iTunes database which, on a Mac, is normally found at *<User>/Music/iTunes/iTunes Library*. Do you still have the library files from the previous incarnation of your library or just the media folder on the external drive? In the latter case there really isn't anything to do but start over. If you have the library files it may be possible to coax them back into working order thought it depends a bit on what has been moved where.

  • Iphoto slide shows on Apple TV ignores Music settings

I use iphoto slide shows on my apple tv as you have more control over the burns effects etc. rather than Apple tv taking control. I have a problem where after setting the slide show timing to fit the music track (fit slide show to music in iphoto) whilst this runs fine within the apple mac , is completely ignored on the appleTV and the music finishes (and repeates) before the slide show ends. any ideas

The timing is probably not ignored but it is likely that transitions are applied differently on the tv and may take a different length of time to occur. Still the effect is the same and unfortunately it's not too pretty. Which is why I chose to stick with simply syncing photos and not slideshows a long time ago.

  • Where are my slide show music settings

I recently upgraded to iPhoto 6.0.3. When I try to make a slideshow I click the Music button and check my song selection from my iTunes library. The song I had selected for the album is not longer selected. I've lost all my song selections I had saved for each of my albums. Is there any way to get these back?
    G5   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

I'm not sure. The only thing I can think of is to use iPhoto Library Manager to rebuild the library. It creates a new library and uses the info from the original library's data files for it's info. It might just pickup on the music assignments and assign them correctly. If you don't like the resulting library you can trash it and go back to the current one. Here's how:
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your User/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File->Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
    Click on the Create button.
Note: It can take some time to create the new library if you have a lot of photos. One user reported that with a library of about 5,000 images it took about 12 hours so plan ahead.

  • I am SO tired of "music" being screwed up every time I take a picture / and almost every time I send a text (even worse if I send a photo as a text).

I like to listen to books on my iPhone.  I like music.  It'd be SO NICE if I could continue on with the same story or the same song (or even the same artist / album) if I get interrupeted with a text or I decide to take a photo and send it to somebody.  It seems like almost every time I take a photo and send it, I end up with a new new song playing.  Or, if I'm in the middle of an audio book, suddenly have music playing when I turn back on the sound.  I know I'm not the only one having this problem.  I happened to mention it to somebody yesterday and she knew EXACTLY what I was talking about.  She also expressed her frustration.  I'm running iOS 7.  I didn't ask her what she's running.  Anybody else want to chime in?  Any fixes that anybody knows about?

  • IPhoto Slideshow Music Settings Issue

I'm having an issue with Slideshows in iPhoto where there will be a long list called "Folders" when I am setting up the music. This happens in both the actual Slideshow and the creating of a Slideshow. I've installed iPhoto on 3 other computers and all of those computers did NOT have a Folder at the bottom, where mine does and opens into this huge mess. Scrolling manually through this takes a long while and makes setting up Slideshows a lot slower. Does anyone else have this issue and or a fix? Thanks!

I was wondering ifmchanging the eq effects other apps and not just the ipad music player?

Use third-party apps. For example, Photo Manager Pro has excellent sorting capabilities, which can be switched in runtime, without having to use a desktop for re-sorting. (See section "2.1.3 Sorting" at http://www.iphonelife.com/blog/87/all-one-photo-viewer-roundup-70-price-drop-bes t-image-viewer for a menu screenshot of this setting.)
