Music skipping back 2 start of song

Hi I hav a problem when I play music through my headphones on my iPhone 4 when the jack on my headphones move the music goes low and no bass comes through it and then when I change track it plays 10secs of it then goes back 2 track 1 and keeps doing the same on track 1 I'm new 2 iPhones apple have changed the headphones and still no change can some one help me.

Tom,
Sorry. I should have been more specific. Double-clicking on SONGS works (starts at the beginning). But double-clicking on hour long PODCASTS does not work. Double-clicking does nothing (except a split second delay in playing podcast).
There's a new feature that build-in to iTunes that keeps track of where you last listened to PODCASTS. So that when you quit and then start iTunes again, all your previously listened to PODCASTS will "remember" where you last stopped.
This works for all PODCASTS in ones playlist; not just a single file. So, you can have 100 different stop points on 100 different unfinished PODCASTS. This is a great feature!
Apple has taken away the double-click working on re-starting the PODCASTS at the begining because they want to make sure that it DOES NOT start at the beginning. It would defeat the purpose of the "memory" of the track point. I understand why Apple did this. But, now they should give us a "|<< and >>|" to compensate.
It shouldn't be so hard for Apple to just add another button. Make it smaller than the others. Or at least make it an option (preferences feature).
Draging the slider, ok. But not so clean as a "|<<"

  • Music skips in beginning of songs

when playin music and browsing the web, the songs start to skip in the beginning. i have itunes 7.0.1.8 and enough RAM on my comp to do these things. anything i can do?

Took the phone to the genius bar and he did a complete erase and fresh reinstall of the iOS and it fixed my skipping songs problem.
Knock on wood, it's been couple weeks and not a glitch of any kind now. Very satisfying experience at the bar too. The genius gave me the choice, he would "Swap Out" the phone or try the software trouble shooting first. He left it up to me which is pure Apple style when handling unsatisfied customers. They truly have customer service down to a perfect science IMO!

  • Stop itunes from skipping back to song currently playing

I have a messy library right now and need to work on it quite a bit! I was curious if there is some way to set itunes to stop skipping back to the song currently playing when I am working on renaming or organizing in a different part of my library?

That bugs me too when I'm working on tags or artwork. So I decide on some songs or an album I want to hear, and drag them into a regular (blue icon) playlist I've named "Now playing".
I start that "Now Playing" list to playing, and then go to back to the main library to do other stuff, or look in the itunes store or at podcasts, etc.

  • Music skips after I unlock and press home button

I'm on an iPhone 5c using iOS7. So when I play music from the Music app, and remain on this app but lock the phone using the lock screen, when I go back and press the home button to go to a different app, the music skips back to a certain point in the song. It's only started happening recently so I thought I may have accidentally changed a setting or something but there doesn't seem to be any settings for this.
    All help appreciated.
    Thanks

I also have this problem and I know I didn't change any music settings on my phone. I also have the 5C. I have noticed that it always skips back to the part when I locked the phone originally. And it still does this even if I didn't lock it while on the music app screen.

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync all music and resync

  • I can't figure out how to get my music to shuffle on my iPhone 5s. If I try to skip a song, it skips about 100 songs. It only ends up playing 4 or 5 songs then goes back to the song menu. Help please!

I can't figure out how to get the music on my iPhone5s to shuffle. If I use the arrows to skip a song, it shuffles through a handful of the same songs then goes back to the song menu. Help please!

Un-sync all your music to remove it from the device, then restart (hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go). Now re-sync your music.

  • My iPhone is skipping back to the start of a song every time I unlock it, especially when I am replying to a text message, this is very frustrating and just want to know if it is a simple bug that will be dealt with in the next update?

Assuming the phone isn't jailbroken, the basic steps (as needed) are:
Restart phone (you already did this)
    Reset phone
Restore phone in iTunes using a backup
Restore in iTunes as new, without using a backup
See appendix B of the User Guide for details
    http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iPhone_iOS4_User_Guide.pdf
If your phone is jailbroken, this is the most frequent cause of the problems you described.  Restoring could permanently brick the phone.
Note that your iOS is old and the current version is 4.2.8.  It's odd that it wasn't updated when your activated your phone in iTunes, being that you got it last Friday.

  • ITune songs skip BACK 25 or so songs via Bluetooth

I play my iTunes music via Bluetooth in my car, and I have had this problem to varying degrees for as long as I can remember - I have an iPhone 4S, up to date on updates. When I turn my car off and go in the the evening, and come back out in the morning, start the car and the music starts playing again, it is back anywhere from one or two to 2-26 songs.
It will sometimes happen during a shorter period - like while I'm at work (more so) or shopping (less so). I can't fins anything in iTune or iPhone settings which would facilitate this. I want the music to pick up with the song I left off with when I turned the car off - not way back many songs....I end up having to skip through all the songs I already listened to in order to listen to songs I haven't heard recently. I usually have my player set to shuffle.
It's pretty frustrating! Anyone else experiencing this or experienced this in the past? Any guesses for a fix/adjustment?
    Thanks in Advance,
    Cara

No one? I guess I need to contact Apple Support? I thought it might be a Bluetooth issue as I've read about some incompatibility issues with Bluetooth and the iPhone...
No one else has experience this problem?

  • Music that plays perfectly fine in my library will skip around within the song on ipod.

Every song begins halfway through, then skips back to the beginning, then skips to the end, and then back to the middle until the song's time runs out. Then it will go onto the next and repeat the same thing. It's getting rather frustrating and I can't seem to find anyone else who is having similar issues. All I can find is people who have problems with the ipod skipping the songs themselves, but not each individual song skipping or stuttering around like this. It is every single song I add. I have the ipod touch 4th gen. I'd just like to know what is going on. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

thats tough man, yeah exchanging it is the best option. But why do people always leave a message saying" i'll probably just by an ipod" and it's usually followed by, "even though i don't like apple or ipod" . I mean fine, if u feel like giving up on the zen micro thats fine, i personally don't care if you're going to buy an ipod. for god sakes ipod isn't even the next alternati've mp3 players, theres plenty. Are u just trying to get the creative people saying "oh man we lost another one to ipod" cuz i'm sure they don't lose sleep over u wanting to buy an ipod instead of a zen. *done ranting*

  • I download exclusively from itunes and I have been having issues with the music stopping after about 25 seconds either skipping to the next song or just going silent and still moving as if it is playing? how do i fix this?

I have an ipod nano, classic and Iphone4s...i download itunes, it says it is completely downloaded, i go to play it either on my pc or on one of my devices and it plays about 24 seconds of the song and skips to the next song. Sometimes it continues to "play" as in the timer is still moving but there is no sound or picture...how do i fix this? It is really frustrating...i let it go with one or 2 songs but when it is everything I download any more I'm getting fed up. I tried going into the info on the song and options and making sure it didn't have the stop time changed (the solution that apple support gave me) Any solutions? I want to actually listen to the music I download!!!
