Must load packages from file 2x before compl insght works in code editor

I am used to editing packages from file instead from database, which is good practice I assume.
When I first load a package from file, completion insight does not work.
For example i do not get table names or column names after typing select t.<list expected> from <list expected initially> tab1 t
When I close the file/tab and reopen the file completion insight suddenly works.
Could you please fix this so that I only have to open the file once.

What version of SQL Developer are you using?

  • Net.sf.jasperreports.engine.JRException: Error loading object from file : C

    I started using JasperReports for my web application report generation. I'm using JSPs for web development.
    I created a .jrxml file using iReport and used the following code to generate the report.
    try {
              JasperDesign jasperDesign = JRXmlLoader.load("C:\\tomcat\\webapps\\web\\JSP\\reports\\samples\\pmm-final.jrxml");
              JasperReport jasperReport = JasperCompileManager.compileReport(jasperDesign);
    // Second, create a map of parameters to pass to the report.
              Map parameters = new HashMap();
              parameters.put("Title", "JasperReport");
    // Third, get a database connection
              Connection conn = null;
              Class.forName("sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver");
              conn=DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:odbc:driver={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)};DBQ=C:/tomcat/webapps/db1/db1.mdb");
    // Fourth, create JasperPrint using fillReport() method
              JasperPrint jasperPrint = JasperFillManager.fillReport(jasperReport,
                                  parameters, conn);
    // You can use JasperPrint to create PDF
              //JasperExportManager.exportReportToPdfFile(jasperPrint, "C:\\tomcat\\webapps\\web\\JSP\\reports\\TestReport.pdf");
              JasperExportManager.exportReportToHtmlFile(jasperPrint, "C:\\tomcat\\webapps\\web\\JSP\\reports\\TestPMM.html");
              JRXlsExporter exporter = new JRXlsExporter();
              exporter.setParameter(JRExporterParameter.JASPER_PRINT, jasperPrint);
              exporter.setParameter(JRExporterParameter.OUTPUT_FILE_NAME, "C:\\tomcat\\webapps\\web\\JSP\\reports\\TestPMM.xls");
              exporter.exportReport();
    // Or to view report in the JasperViewer
              //JasperViewer.viewReport(jasperPrint);
    } catch (JRException e) {
              // TODO Auto-generated catch block
              e.printStackTrace();
    } catch (SQLException e) {
              // TODO Auto-generated catch block
              e.printStackTrace();
    The above pmm-final.jrxml uses a subreport 'top.jasper'. Error being thrown while loading top.jasper file. Error is as follows.

    Anyone pls help. It's bit urgent. Thanks.

    I was using iReport v0.5.0 and it uses jasperreports-0.6.7.jar (v0.6.7) of
    JasperReports. I compiled and i deployed my application in BEA weblogic server. I got the error listed below. Only after i saw your
    response explaining that iReport was the issue, i checked the iReport lib directory and found this version of jasperreport jar.
    iReport creates a java source file which is used to a jasper file.
    iReport will link in the v0.6.7 version of jasperReports. When you
    deploy your web application it will recognize this version through the compiled jasper file and give you the InvalidClassException, even
    though you only have one jasperReport jar deployed with your war file.
    The way i fixed this problem was to create my web application with the
    jasperreport jar comes with iReport.
    Thanks for mentioning iReport.

  • Why can't I load plugins from file system ?

    Hello.
    Why can't I load plugins from file system, fore development sake for ex. ?
    Thx.
    Andrew.

    For security reasons, the Flash Player doesn't allow applications to access both the file system and the network.
    One workaround is to compile the plugins in statically (rather than load them dynamically).  The Akamai Plugin Sample shows you how to load plugins either way, you can see the source here: http://opensource.adobe.com/svn/opensource/osmf/trunk/apps/samples/plugins/AkamaiPluginSam ple/.

  • Can ResourceBundle load .properties from files and .jar?

    Hi Guys,
    I'm trying to I18N an application with ResourceBundle.
    Suppose my class look like this:
    package pack;
    import java.util.ResourceBundle;
    public class MyClass {
        public static void main(String[] args) {
            ResourceBundle rb = ResourceBundle.getBundle("Language");
    }This would load the localized string from Language.properties
    And when I pack the class file and Language.properties into a jar. It works fine
    But what I tried to do is to make the ResourceBundle try to load from external file first
    before it load from the jar file so that if I have a new language file I can just drop in the
    NewLang.properties.
    Inside .jar file look like this
    /Language.properties
    /pack/MyClass.class
    /meta-inf/Manifest.mf
    I tried look into some forum and they suggest to include Class-Path in Manifest.mf file
    to include current path like this
    Class-Path: .
    But still, it didn't work. If I include .properties in .jar it will not look outside but if I didn't include
    any .properties it found a properties file.
    How can I achieve this ?

    Dave,
    I reckon you're on the right track... just have to figure out "what's the path to properties file"... I suspect you've got a context problem... not sure... I'm pretty new at this stuff myself.
    So, what's your development environment? O/S, IDE, app/web-server, etc.
    Cheers. Keith.

  • Using srw to load graphics from file in different path

    Hi all,
    I work with report 6i and I want to build a report with dynamic graphics. I stored the file name and directory in field of my data base.
    I want to know if it is possible to load graphics in report with package srw. If it is possible, can you tell me how can I proceed?
    best regard.

    Not sure if this option is available in reports 6i, but in reports help contents search for:
    'read from file'
    In data model get the database field having image path. In report layout, open property inspector of this field and change property 'Read from File' from No to Yes and also change property 'File Format'.

  • Loading Data From File Through EM on Mac OS X

    Has anyone been able to load data from a file through the Oracle Enterprise Manager on Mac OS X?
    Specifically, I'm trying to follow the example in the 2-day DBA manual (Chp. 08 "Managing Schema Objects" --> "Loadng Data Into Tables").
    When I enter the appropriate user name and password entries into the fields under the "Host Credentials" section, and I click the "Next" button, I run into a "Validation Error." The rest of the error message reads:
    "Examine and corrent the following errors, then retry the operation: Error - RemoteOperationException: ERROR: command process interrupted before exit"
    Has anyone else encountered the same error? If so, would you please share the solution? I'm also curious to know how to diagnose the problem (i.e., which logs can I reference to trace what's happening in the background?).
    Thank you.

    I used to get an error message stating that I entered the wrong password whether or not I actually entered the password correctly. Then, I modified the NetInfo entries for the local user account that I was using; I changed the "authentication_authority" property to ";basic;" and changed the "passwd" property a traditional unix hash password (using the 'openssl passwd <password>' command). All changes were done using the NetInfo Manager.
    After I made the change, I got a little further, but only as far as the problem that I described at the start of this message thread.
    Likewise, I hope someone from Oracle can actually provide some insight into this.

  • Load data from file and send to background

    Hello, is it possible to load data from a file on the presentation server and then create a batch input to call a transaction with those values but on background NOT using data set?
    Thanks in advance.

    U can surely design the process to be executed in various ways..one of them is as below ::
    Upload ABAP.
    1. It reads the file from the presentation server and exports it into INDX database with a specific filename.
    2. Updates a ztable with user/upload date and time/filename/status=U.
    Batch ABAP.
    1. It reads the ztable for all the files with status=U.
    2. Using the filename IMPORTS the data from INDX database.
    3. Creates the batch input to call transaction.
    4. Sets the status as process along with process date and time.
    With the above you can have multiple uploading data and batch job picking up each file and doing the needful.

    Your error will be the same as this posting
    Jobs Credentials Problem
    What it needs is the Windows User and it needs to have the Local Security privilege 'Log on as a batch job' . This will be probably already assigned to the ORA_DBA group. So enure that the user you use to logon to Windows is in the ORA_DBA group.

  • Load defaults from file with event structure in vi

    Hi All,
    I've been trying to figure out how to do this but have not quite got there. Taken a look at lots of posts but can't quite find the answer to the question that i've got.
    I've got a vi for controling 4 PCI cards making calls to some DLL's. I've got quite a number of controls on the FP and i use an event structure to update the values on calls to the DLL. On startup, one of the first calls that i make is initalise and that sets the cards up. I then want to load my own set of default values from a file to initalise the cards to my particular set up. While the software is running the user may change the values and wish to save a file with the new default values, or he may wish to load a different file of default values (depending on the test that he is running). I've got the Control Values:Get All [variant] and the Control Valueset [Variant] working to save all the controls values to a file and read that file in and set all the controls values. So far so good. Problem is i'm using an Event Stucture and it doesn't register that the values have changed. I could complish this by using Value(signaling) but the data from the Control Values:Get All is variant data and the Value(signaling) needs the same data type as the control. What do i do?
    One thing i have thought about is to write all the values from the file to all the conrols and then have a read Value and a write Value (signaling) to trigger the events. Problem is i don't want to set this up for every control (it'll take me ages). Can i do it programitically? Is there a better way to do it?
    Thanks,
    Phil

    You could create a boolean control/indicator and signal that value when you've updated the values on the FP.
    Name it something like "update FP". The event case for that boolean will have the code to update the necessary parts of the FP.

  • How to load hierarchy from file into InfoObject with compounding Attr & LN

    Hi,
    I have created an InfoObject called YCOSTC0 which has a compounding attribute 0CO_AREA. and Text is Lanugage dependent, hence the key is YCOSTC0, 0CO_AREA and LANGUAGE, now when i load hierarchy from flat file as mentioned below, it creates duplicate blank rows in master data table, becuase the flat file contains only the YCOSTC0 Info Object and this data gets loaded into 0CO_AREA column in master data table which is the first column. how can i load hierarchies from flat file into an InfoObject that has a compounding attribute and Language dependent. please provide me a sample file structure with data.

  • Load fonts from file

    In Java I can load fonts from a file or register it:
    GraphicsEnvironment ge = GraphicsEnvironment.getLocalGraphicsEnvironment();
         ge.registerFont(Font.createFont(Font.TRUETYPE_FONT, new File("A.ttf"));But in JavaFX this code shows the error:
    cannot find symbol
    symbol  : function registerFont(java.awt.Font)
    location: class java.awt.GraphicsEnvironment
    It is probably because the registerFont method was only added in JDK 1.6
    How can I register a font in JavaFX or load it from a file or create a JavaFX font from the java.awt.Font class?

    I tried this but the text is not shown.
    I guess it is because the font size is zero.
    How can I change the font size in this case?
    The code below shows an error:
    def fxFont = com.sun.javafx.tk.Toolkit.getToolkit().getFontLoader().font(awtFont);
    fxFont.size = 24;Main.fx:19: size has script only (default) write access in javafx.scene.text.Font
    fxFont.size = 24;
    1 error
    My application is:
    import javafx.stage.Stage;
    import javafx.scene.Scene;
    import javafx.scene.text.Text;
    import java.io.File;
    // http://www.fontfreak.com/charactermaps/a/AajaxSurrealFreak.htm
    def path = "D:/Download/Browser/temp/AAJAX.TTF";
    def awtFont = java.awt.Font.createFont(java.awt.Font.TRUETYPE_FONT, new File(path));
    def fxFont = com.sun.javafx.tk.Toolkit.getToolkit().getFontLoader().font(awtFont);
    Stage {
        title: "Application title"
        scene: Scene {
            width: 250
            height: 80
            content: Text {
                font: fxFont
                x: 10
                y: 30
                content: "Application content"
    }
