Mutliple wsdl operations for a port in BPEL Project -- Help

I was trying to create a BPEL project with multiple operations for one port type. I used a pick activity and on message acitivity to branch out based on the operation. For some reason all the operations are channeled through the same branch (operation). Please share with me your experiences and any simple project.

Thanks a lot. It helped me a lot. It seems this is the problem with the BPEL Console. I tried to create another BPEL Project to invoke the other service/operations. It worked perfectly fine. I had even tested with SoapUI. It worked fine. Thanks for the right pointer.

  • Error in deploying BPEL project from Jdeveloper

    Hi all,
    I am using Jdeveloper 10.1.3.4.0.

    Can you check these things :
    1) is this issue with only this project ? Try deploying some other project
    2) try deploying this project using ant (change values in build.properties and right click on project -> run ant or something like that, use default deploy target)
    3) try undeploying project from server and then redeploying it again
    also, why is it connecting to port 80? normally it is 8888 or 7777 right?

  • How to use multiple WSDL operations in One BPEL process Recieve Activity ?

    Is there anyway to attach multiple WSDL operations with a Single BPEL process ? How ?

    Thanks Melvin for your quick respond.
    When I create a BPEL process, It asks me to give the XSD as an Input. When I import the XSD it asks me to select an operation not more than one. Let suppose I select addRequest and finish the wizard.
    Now what I can see, It create Recieve activity with an Input msg of Add operation. Well what I understand from your statement is that, I remove the recieve activity and put the Pick activity.
    Now my question is How to mention the other operations like update and delete ? And how to test them ?? The link provided by you is just tell me what Pick activity can do for me, But its not telling me how to use it ?? and how the give the operation to it. Where should I need to change in the BPEL ???

  • How to create RPC encoded wsdl for the bpel project created in jdeveloper?

    Hi,
    I have to create a bpel project in jdeveloper with the wsdl of the project in rpc encoded format. By default when we create a bpel project in jdeveloper it creates a wsdl file of document literal format, but i need the wsdl to be rpc encoded format. Please let me know how can i achieve this.
    Thanks.

    Hi Nico,
    Thanks for your reply.
    You mentioned to specify type in place of element, from where do you get this type and what more changes we need to do for the entire project to compile well with out errors.
    As suggested by you, I changed the element to type and tried to compile, it is giving the below error.
    Error:
    [Error ORABPEL-10902]: compilation failed
    [Description]: in "bpel.xml", XML parsing failed because "undefined part type.
    In WSDL at "file:/D:/indu/jdevstudio10134/jdev/mywork/TimerApplication/SelectDB/bpel/SelectDB.wsdl", message part type "SelectDBProcessRequestType" is not defined in any of the schemas.
    Please make sure the spelling of the type QName is correct and the WSDL import is complete.
    [Potential fix]: n/a.
    Please let me know what are all the changes that need to be done to complie the project successfully.
    Thanks and Regards.

  • Defining Multiple operations for async calls in OSB

    Hi,
    I have three Asynchronous BPEL processes- BPELProcessA, BPELProcessB and BPELProcessC
    I am trying to invoke BPELProcessB and BPELProcessC from BPELProcessA through an OSB Proxy service. I want to use a single proxy service to make calls to BPELProcessB and BPELProcessC from BPELProcessA . To do this I defined multiple operations in the wsdl of the proxy service. This is not working
    But I am able to implement the following
    1. If BPELProcessB and BPELProcessC are Synchronous, I am able to invoke BPELProcessB and BPELProcessC by defining multiple operations in the proxy service wsdl
    2. I am able to invoke and receive response from 1 Asynchronous BPEL process by defining 1 operation in the proxy service wsdl. I followed the approach described at [http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13159_01/osb/docs10gr3/bpelpmtransport/transport.html#wp1111338]. Does this mean for each asynchronous BPEL, I need a separate pair of OSBs for each async process ( 1 for request and 1 for callback)?
    Has anyone tried invoking multiple asynchronous processes by defining multiple operations in the wsdl?
    Kindly request every to give inputs

    Hi Eric
    Below is the flow and error we are getting:
    ProcessA is calling ProcessB and ProcessC through common OSB. In OSB we have created individual business services for ProcessB and ProcessC.I am using common Proxy service for calling these two Business Services using different operations.I have created one callback business service and Proxy service for ProcessA.
    I am successfully able to call BPEL processes, ProcessB and ProcessC, but during callback client activity these two BPEL processes are failing with below error and ProcessA is going in waiting on receive activity state:

  • Should a new custom ESB contract wsdl required for such a scenario?

    Hi,
    I am using AIA 2.4 for my client who is integration Web-center 11g with JDE 9.0. The question is more pertaining to design approach that one needs to take for a scenario as this-
    The case - an ADF page tries to create a customer in the JDE and uses AIA layer for the movement of business data.Once the customer gets created in the JDE,JDE in turn returns the client Id which ADF needs to navigate to a different page.The ESB currently is based on the entity WSDL(CustomerPartyV2.wsdl) and the operation is create. Since create ops in the above Entity contract is defined as 'async-one way' we cant get any response back to the ADF page via the provider ABC service.
    Now to break the impasse, client has suggested if I can extend the entity wsdl file and create a new process wsdl file.But I couldn't convince myself as the need for a custom wsdl file for the EBS. This is becoz we are neither adding new operation nor we are extending a new EBO. The only thing that needs to be done is to make the create operation from async to sync in the wsdl. Unfortunately the Integration guide for 2.4 doesn't lay-down any step as how to tackle such an issue.
    Please provide me some guideline on design as how to approach this problem and break the impasse!
    Thanks
    Prabal

    Hi,
    In AIA, the CRUD operations but for Query have implemented Asynchronous request / response patterns. Hence, these interfaces are modeled 2 one-way operations. The programming model stated in Integration Development Guide does specify how the client (in AIA, it might be Requester ABCS) can optionally choose to receive the outcome; and also about how the provider service needs to be coded to handle this.
    The “responseCode” attribute of the EBM verb is set to indicate to the providing service that the requesting service is expecting a response. This is evaluated in the providing service to send back a response. The Create verb has an optional “ResponseCode” attribute that communicates the payload that is expected in the response message to the “Create” request. . The possible values for the ResponseCode are restricted to either “ID” (response payload is expected to be the Identifier of the object that was created) or “OBJECT” (response payload is expected to be the entire object that was created).
    Even though the above programming model does allow for client services to receive the responses about the outcome of create / update / delete / sync operation in an asynchronous way, I would strongly discourage ADF page making a synchronous service call which in turn leverages AIA's asynchronous request / response pattern based services. This synchronous - asynchronous pattern could have performance impact.
    I would make two recommendations - one is to follow customer's suggestion - add a new synchronous request / response based operation in process wsdl. But that means, you need to implement requester as well as provider services for that operation; and have ADF page invoke that synchronous requester ABCS.
    The other option is to leverage the delivered existing services - clone the requester ABCS and make changes to cloned requester ABCS to update the requester application after receiving the response. Instead of cloning, you could also decide to make inline changes to the delivered requester ABCS - but need to be aware that those changes are not upgrade safe.
    The user experience will certainly have to be modified - have the user refresh the screen - refreshing the screen should result in retrieval of the identifier from the data store ; and that could be used to navigate to the specific object. There might slightly be an inconvenience to the end user - but the implementation has all of Quality of Service characteristics such as resiliency, transactionality, guaranteed delivery etc.
    Hope it helps.

    Ravi

  • Error while parsing wsdl while creating logical port

    Hi all,
    I have a ABAP consumer proxy created. Now I want to create a logical port in SOAMANAGER.
    When parsing the wsdl, the error is:
    SRT Framework Ausnahme. Fehler beim WSDL-Parsen: Fehler in Base-URI: Relative URI testtt.wsdl erfordert Angabe einer absoluten Base-URI
    which is in english something like:
    SRT Framework exception:Error parsing WSDL: Error in Base-URI: Relative URI requires absolute base-URI
    Do you have any idea? The wsdl is very simple, just one binding, no nested schemas, no reference to https site.
    Thanks in advance,
    Rolf

    Further investigation gave SAP_note 1327511 (Limiations and common problems in ABAP WSDL processing). Did not find any problems with that.
    I also checked the wsdl with the report RSSIDL_DESERIALIZE_DEMO - it's ok!
    BTW, the system is of Release 700-Level 25. Here's a part of the wsdl:

  • WSDL operation type possible in PI

    Hi folks,
    Normally a wsdl (webservice) can have multiple action types, for example a particuar service can be used to show distance between 2 points, validate addresses, etc etc,
    ideally the wsdl will have in it a wsdl operation type indicating what the consumer of theservice needs out of the service,
    But in PI i havn't come across something similar where in the wsdl generates an operation type..
    Is it somethng possible in PI?
    I don't want to use a field in the schema (Request type) indicating this intent...but instead create a wsdl operation ....

    NO , you cannot create multiple opearations for a WSDL in PI.
    You have to use External tool ( Altova XML SPY) to do that, then you can import the WSDL in XI to check it.
    But you can't create mutilple operations except one request , one response and a fault message type.

  • To test BPEL project using a wsdl file.

    Hello Experts,
    I need to test the BPEL Project using the wsdl file.Is there any tool to test the BPEL project?the tool should generate the input data and expected output result using the wsdl file.
    please reply soon
    Thanks in Advance.

    The entire application means the BPEL Project will be invoking many services.Consider a scenario,that i am creating a bpel project which invokes 10 services.If i make some changes in one service,i must be able to check the bpel project with that service alone.i need not cal all the other services.
    I need a framework or tool thet will generate input data and the expected output based on the wsdl file.
    can u suggest any solution for this?

    Hi,
    Looks like some inconsistency in the jsp source:
    in the 2nd link the url property is set. I don't think
    you need to set this.
    I couldn't tell what action you want to occur when you
    click. If you want some action to occur such as
    navigating to another page then you can use Page Navigation. Then you would need an action handler
    for the LinkAction component.
    <h:commandLink action="#{Domains.editDomain}" binding="#{Domains.linkAction2}" id="linkAction2">
    <h:graphicImage binding="#{Domains.image2}" id="image2" title="Edit" value="resources/images/edit.gif"/>
    </h:commandLink>
    <h:commandLink binding="#{Domains.linkAction3}" id="linkAction3">
    <h:graphicImage binding="#{Domains.image3}" id="image3" title="View" url="resources/images/view.gif" value="resources/images/view.gif"/>
    </h:commandLink>
    <h:commandLink binding="#{Domains.linkAction4}" id="linkAction4">
    <h:graphicImage binding="#{Domains.image4}" id="image4" title="Delete" value="resources/images/delete.gif"/>
    </h:commandLink>
