MX 7 / SQL 7.0 Conflicts

We are running Cold Fusion MX 7.0.2 on a Windows 2003 server.
We are having problems with the HTTP service on this server
shutting down. A re-boot fixes the problem but then it fails again
in about a week.
The data sources for our web sites are stored in SQL Server
7. Does anyone know if there are problems using the SQL 7 ODBC
driver provided with MX 7?

The webserver connector tries to forward the request to JRun
and that
fails. This is a symptom, the cause is the failure in JRun.

Don't use ODBC. The manual explicitly recommends against it.
Use a
direct JDBC connection.

Nothing special here. If you have sufficient memory in the
box you can
up the heap size if you want. A stack dump of JRun in an
unresponsive
state would help more.

Upload your *-out.log somewhere and I'll have a look.

  • Can't Remove Datasets From SQL Server Management Studio Restore Database Dialog

    Hello,
    I am trying to restore a database in MS SQL 2008 R2 Management Studio on a Windows 2008 server.
    - I right click the Databases folder and choose Restore Databases.
    - I select the From device radio button as usual and click Add.
    - I specify a .bck file as usual and click OK.
    - When I return to the Restore Database dialog are two backup sets already in the "Select backup location to restore" part of the dialog that I unsuccessfully tried to restore earlier already there.
    - I can see the path to the backup set that I want to add in the "From device" field of the "Restore Database" dialog. The backup is not listed in "Select backup location to restore" as it should be.
    - I tried restarting the SQL Server service and I rebooted the server but the files were still there when I tried to do a restore.
    - There is no option to remove the extra datasets in the "Select backup location to restore" part of the dialog. I am hoping that if I can remove the extra datasets that this will resolve the problem. Does anyone have any idea how to remove them?

    Hello,
    My issue was a bit different then your screenshot. I was able to choose a backup dataset with no problem from the "Select backup devices" dialog as you show in the screenshot. At that time the "Restore Database" dialog box you show in the background had
    no backup files, you show filetest1, filetest2. However after clicking the "Add" to files were listed in the "Restore Database" dialog neither of which was the one that I was trying to add. The problem was that the wrong files were listed in the "Restore Database"
    dialog and I couldn't remove them.
    The problem turned out to be two issues. I resolved the problem as follows:
    It turned out that someone had compressed my server c:\ drive and I was not aware of it. Disk compression and SQL server have conflicts. As I had never compressed a drive I didn't know that Windows Explorer displays compressed files in blue letters. So the
    first step was to decompress the drive. Which did not fix the problem.
    What had caused the files to show up was that I had somehow created a backup with two data sets in it. It seems that when SQL Server creates a backup one of the first things it does is check the drive for the required space and create an empty backup file
    the size of the backup to reserve the disk space. It seems that I had created a file that contained space for a backup but no data with another back with data behind it. When I looked at the backup file size in explorer it was almost twice the size it should
    have been.
    I resolved the problem by changing the path of the default backup folder. I was able to do a restore from there. Afterwords the default backup folder worked and the files listed were no longer there.
    Sorry for the confusion and thanks for the help.

  • Mod_jk child workerEnv in error state

    We're using apache2, tomcat 5 on a freebsd 5.3 machine. Starting apache we're having some "mod_jk child workerEnv in error state 30" error in our httpd-error.log. The error state number is increasing. Any clues?

  • CS4 issues with Microsoft Office Small Business 2007? Other apps?

    I recently purchased the CS4 upgrade and a new laptop. Last night after nearly 7 hours I finally got it all installed and working correctly. I had the versioncue.dll error which caused most of my pain. Anyway... I've been lurking on the forums since CS3 launched but passed on it due to all the issues I had read about it's installer, finally I felt I needed to take the plunge and upgraded my software (from MX2004 suite). My question is this.
    Currently I have a very clean laptop with only:
    Kaspersky 2009 and CS4 installed.
    I'm looking to install Microsoft Office Small Business 2007 but I have a concern with the Small Business Manager SQL Server. From other post I've seen that the sql servers have conflicted with adobe applications, has anyone had any issues with this or should I be able to install it now without issue. I'm trying to pre-emptivly make sure I don't screw something up and have to install everything again from scratch.
    My end goal would be to have: Kaspersky security suite 2009, CS4, MS office Small Business 2007, Paragon back up application. At that point I want to create a restore and if anything happened I'd have the bulk set up easily again.
    Does anyone have any other no no's about what does and does not play well with CS4?
    My Setup:
    Gateway FX 7805u laptop
    dual core centreno 2 2.26
    4 gigs DDR3
    Geforce 9800m gts 1 gb
    320 gb 7200 harddrive - not sure on make
    Vista 64
    All drivers up to date except the new Nvidia drivers as they are still beta
    Thank you in advance.

    I should also have mentioned (ask) about the fact that when I first installed I had gotten all the way past the initial installer and to the updates so the suite had already been activated/registered.
    After getting the versioncue.dll error it has you remove the suite and many folders pertaining to it. So after I did all that and reinstalled it automatically put my info back in for me (obviously one of the folders it doesn't have you move) and I don't recall it re-registering it again. I'm assuming I am fine with my activations and it only counted it once as it was the same machine with an uninstall/reinstall? Everything seems to be working ok, i'm just curious as to what it actually did? Did it take another activation or no? I'm planning on installing to my desktop as well as soon as I get the board/proc replaced, so i'm just looking down the road for potential issues.
    Thanks again.

  • Parent/Child requests in error

    Hi,
    I am actually working on a custom interface where I will have to pause the parent request when the child requests are running.
    APPS.FND_SUBMIT.submit_program (
    application => r_stage_program.application_short_name
    , program     => r_stage_program.concurrent_program_name
    , stage => r_stage_program.stage_name
    , argument1   => l_arguments(1)
    , argument2   => l_arguments(2)
    , argument3   => l_arguments(3)
    APPS.FND_CONC_GLOBAL.set_req_globals( conc_status => 'PAUSED'
    , request_data => l_user_request_set_name );
    When I am using these codes in the custom package, it says No Active Manager and the parent request is terminating in Error.
    Questions:
    Is there a child concurrent manager that should be activated to avoid the “No Manager” warning?
    Is there another example where the PAUSED request is used ?
    I got the example below from Oracle. The problem is that it is terminating in “Error” for the parent request and it is indicating “Inactive” / “No Manager” for the child requests.
    * This is sample PL/SQL concurrent program submits 10
    * sub-requests. The sub-requests are submitted one at a
    * time.  Each time a sub-request is submitted, the parent
    * exits to the Running/Paused state, so that it does not
    * consume any resources while waiting for the child
    * request, to complete.  When the child completes the
    * parent is restarted.

  • OGG error, help needed

    Hi I am trying to check the conflict resolution on my active-active bi-directional OGG, when i am trying to set the parameters in replicat file i am getting this error:

    Thanks in advance

    Yes it is working fine steven, thanks
    But my question is, if you remember or not, i want to use same strategy for conflict resolution in active-active bi-directional OGG setup which are on two different time zone
    Datacenter(DC) 1 on PST & DC2 on EST, is there any ways i can change this query to match the records? i mean
    DC1(PST) ----> "using this in replicat parameter from target to source, i mean data coming from EST to PST"
    MAP resolved (entry ISAAC_MODEL_BEA2.ECODBPARAM):
    MAP ISAAC_MODEL_BEA2.ECODBPARAM, TARGET ISAAC_MODEL_BEA2.ECODBPARAM, REPERROR (21000, DISCARD), SQLEXEC (ID lookup, ON UPDA
    TE, QUERY "select count(*) conflict from ISAAC_MODEL_BEA2.ECODBPARAM where id = :p1 and lastmodifieddate-180/1440 > :p2", PAR
    AMS (p1 = id, p2 = lastmodifieddate), BEFOREFILTER, ERROR REPORT, TRACE ALL),FILTER (lookup.conflict = 0, ON UPDATE, RAISEERR
    OR 21000)
    DC2(EST) ----> "using this in replicat parameter from source to target, i mean data coming from PST to EST"
    MAP resolved (entry ISAAC_MODEL_BEA2.ECODBPARAM):
    MAP ISAAC_MODEL_BEA2.ECODBPARAM, TARGET ISAAC_MODEL_BEA2.ECODBPARAM, REPERROR (21000, DISCARD), SQLEXEC (ID lookup, ON UPDA
    TE, QUERY "select count(*) conflict from ISAAC_MODEL_BEA2.ECODBPARAM where id = :p1 and lastmodifieddate+180/1440 > :p2", PAR
    AMS (p1 = id, p2 = lastmodifieddate), BEFOREFILTER, ERROR REPORT, TRACE ALL),FILTER (lookup.conflict = 0, ON UPDATE, RAISEERR
    OR 21000);
    by adding 3hr's to the comparision function and do the conflict resolve?
    Please do comment on this. Thanks a lot for your help.

  • Why do I get a class conflict between the Prepare SQL.vi and the Get Column Name.vi with the SQL Toolkit compatibility vis from the Database Connectivity Toolkit?

    I have done extensive programming with the SQL Toolkit with LabVIEW versions through 6.1. My customer now wants to upgrade to Windows 7, so I am trying to upgrade to LabVIEW 2009 (my latest purchased version) using the Database Connectivity Toolkit, and the SQL Toolkit Compatibility vis. Everything seemed to be going okay with the higher level SQL operations, but I ran into trouble with the Get Column Name.vi.
    The pictures below show the problem. The original SQL Toolkit connected the Prepare SQL.vi with the Get Column Name.vi with a cluster of two references, one for connection, and one for sql. The new compatibility vis have a class conflict in the wire because the Prepare SQL.vi contains a cluster with connection, and command references, but the Get Column Name.vi expects a cluster with connection and recordset references.
    How do I resolve this conflict?
    Thank You.
    Dan

    I've never worked with the old version of the toolkit, so I don't know how it did things, but looking inside the SQL prep VI, it only generates a command, and the the column name VI wants a recordset. I'm not super familiar with all the internals of ADO, but my understanding is that is standard - you only have the columns after you execute the command and get the recordset back. What you can apparently do here is insert the Execute Prepared SQL VI in the middle and that will return what you need.
    I'm not sure why it worked before. Maybe the execute was hidden inside the prep VI or maybe you can get the column names out of the command object before execution. In general, I would recommend considering switching to the newer VIs.
    Try to take over the world!

  • SQL Server Replication Merge:Conflicts/Sec performance counter

    Hi,
    i was not able to find correct answer on this counter. As I read it shows logical conflict errors, but was not able to get with t-sql any information about conflicts. Counter repeatedly
    report about conflicts but all merge replication system tables are empty, is any way to query this counter with T-SQL?
    Thanks

    Then you don't have any conflicts. Keep in mind that conflicts include errors and sometimes errors are resolved within a sync. For example merge replication sync's in batches and when a row in a batch causes the batch to error, the entire batch is put
    in a redo queue which is process row by row. Then IIRC any errored rows are re tried again after all batches are applied. So the conflicts you see could be these rows flagged for retry.

  • Conflicting use of F3 key in SQL worksheet

    The use of the F3 key in the SQL worksheet tab, where this key performs a Rollback, seems to conflict with the menu option Edit->Find Next.
    The first time you press the F3 key in the SQL worksheet a rollback is performed. Second and subsequent F3 keystrokes do a Find Next.
    In addition, the first time you open a SQL worksheet tab and do a Find next via F3, nothing happens.
    Steps:
    1. open a SQL worksheet.
    2. Paste the following text in:
    the
    yyyy
    uuuu
    pppp
    uuuu
    the
    yyyy
    uuuu
    pppp
    uuuu
    the
    yyyy
    uuuu
    3. Move cursor to start of first line in worksheet.
    4. Press Ctrl-F to initiate search and search on the string 'uuuu' by clicking OK.
    5. Press F3 to Find Next. Nothing happens.
    SQL Developer version: 1.0.013.43, Build MAIN-13.43
    Platform: Windows XP SP2.

    In the Accelerators, the F3 is set to 2 options: Rollback and Find Next.
    I think that this I would have to be modified in the proper tool, modifying the value standard of one of the two options, but to solve its problem, you can manually modify the value of these options (Tools - Preferences - Accelerators).

    Can someone help me with identifying conflicting sqls in deadlock? Is the first (update) sql waiting while the insert one is locking? If so, why they refer to different tables?

    Taking a somewhat wild guess:
    Deadlock graph:

    Rows waited on:
    Session 404: obj - rowid = 0000D536 - AAANU2AAXAAAAMeAAA
      (dictionary objn - 54582, file - 23, block - 798, slot - 0)
    Session 446: obj - rowid = 00000000 - D/////ADAAAAB0eAAA
      (dictionary objn - 0, file - 192, block - 7454, slot - 0)If I were to take a guess from the above, session 123 inserted into the child table (or modified a row) and is attemping to insert into the parent table, but was blocked by session 122. Session 122 modified another row in the parent table, but the child table has a missing foreign key index, so the modification of the parent table tried to generate a mode 4 share lock on the child table, but is blocked due to the mode 6 exclusive row lock on the child table acquired by session 123. The mode 4 share lock may be caused by other problems including potential duplicate values in a primary/unique column (should the other session commit), a problem with initrans, bitmap indexes, a session trying to modify a row already modified by another session, or a handful of other problems.
    If you search the forum, I have previously posted a couple different deadlock graphs and the SQL code that I used to generate those deadlock graphs. You might find an exact match for the above pattern.

  • LiveCycle / SQL Server 2008 Express Conflict Resolution?

    Anyone know of an Adobe or Microsoft fix for the conflict between LiveCycle Designer and SQL Server Express 2008?

    I'm hoping this fix comes soon, because it's driving me nuts that I can't run livecycle designer on my main dev machine.

  • SQL Remote "conflict resolution"

    We have a consolidated database with 5 remotes attached. Unfortunately we are getting cases where the consolidated database decides that it knows better and sends transactions to a remote, undoing updates that the remote has just sent.
    I can't even say that this is an update conflict. It seems to be a timing issue where the Verify clause on an update from the remote doesn't match what the consolidated has so it sends a correction, and then applies the update as received. The net result is the remote now has incorrect data and the consolidated has the correct picture.
    I know we can put triggers on every column of every table (yawn!) but I wouldn't know what to code for this instance. Is there a setting somewhere where the consolidated can be told to accept updates from the remotes and not try to correct them.
    Thanks, Paul

    This comment confuses me :
    It's not really an update conflict.  As I said it seems that the consolidated checks the verify clause and sends back column updates.
    You say it's not really an update conflict, but then go on to describe exactly how the database engine detects update conflicts, and exactly what the result of detecting an update conflict would be.  What you have is an update conflict.
    There isn't an easy option to disable conflict resolution because it is an integral part of SQL Remote.  I can imagine a hack that might be able to turn it off, but it's not something I've ever tried or been asked to do, and I've been supporting SQL Remote since 1997 and I've been the only engineering resource for SQL Remote for roughly 10 years.  I also don't want you to turn off conflict resolution, since I believe it will do more harm than good.  Using a car analogy, it's like you've come into the dealership complaining that your brakes are making an unbearably loud noise when you use them, and asking the dealership to remove the brakes from your car as opposed to figuring out what is making the noise.
    If you believe that messages are being applied out of order, I'd rather look into that problem.  That shouldn't happen, and I'd like to see the SQL Remote logs that led you to this conclusion and see what going on.

  • VSS snapshots for DPM 2010 Hyper-V backup conflict with SQL backup on a virtual SQL server

    We currently use DPM 2010 to backup our virtual servers which reside on a 5 node Hyper-V clustered share volume.  DPM uses the hardware VSS writer to backup the Hyper-V guests.   Several of these Hyper-V guests are SQL servers (SQL 2008) and they
    are all configured to run point in time SQL backups using SQL Management Plans.
    The SQL backups are scheduled to run a full database backup on a Friday and differential backups on the other days of the week.  Transaction backups are scheduled to run several times throughout the day.
    However we have recently discovered that there is a conflict between these two methods as it seems as though when a restore is required using a differential SQL backup, it fails as the snapshot created by DPM forces SQL to believe it has had a full backup
    carried out externally from the Management Plan and is therefore unable to perform the restore.
    DPM backs up the Hyper-V guests on a daily basis from 8pm.
    Can anyone provide any advice or guidance on this as we need both types of backup to run successfully.  We are required to backup SQL with point in time backups and we also need to protect the Hyper-V guests in their entirety.

    Thanks Mike,
    I have tried this but unfortunately it has no effect.  The VM has Oracle installed (although not the Oracle VSS Writer).  It is the Oracle application server, not the database server, and the customer has a script that is used to stop and start
    the Oracle application when required.  Through troubleshooting this with them I have noticed that after the WLS_Reports service/process is stopped the backups run successfully but when it is running the backups fail.
    I have also noticed that when I stop the Hyper-V Volume Shadow Copy Requestor the backup runs successfully, which I guess is as expected.
    When the backups fail I get 2 errors in the application log:
    Event Id 12293, VSS - Error calling a routine on a shadow copy provider {GUID for the Hyper-V IC Software Shadow Copy Provider}.  Routine details PreFinalCommitSnapshots ({GUID}, 5) [hr = 0x800705b4, This operation returned because
    the timeout period expired.]
    Event Id 19, vmicvss - Not all the shadow volumes arrived in the guest operating system.
    This is also part of the same problem I have posted here: Backup
    fails for a Hyper-V guest with VSS Writer failures using DPM 2012 R2 - Hyper-V guest has Oracle application installed

  • JAR conflicts in Oracle SQL Developer Extension

    Hi,
    I am developing a extension for Oracle SQL Developer. I want to use JavaFX to show a WebView inside SQLDeveloper, so I imported such library.
    When I try to use such library, the program crashes with an error (NoSuchMethodError) pointing to the constructor of JSObject. The problem is that oracle.help_5.0 (bundled with sql developer) and JavaFX (in the future is going to be bundled in jre) defines the same class (netscape.javascript.JSObject) with different implementations.
    My question is that if it is possible to define/modify the ClassLoader to serve the JSObject provided by JavaFX library to the JavaFX library.
    Thank you in advance!

    Thats odd.
    Do you see any exceptions in console ? (to see the console launch sqldeveloper.exe in ../sqldeveloper/sqldeveloper/bin dir.)
