Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
If that didn't help either, try restoring your iPad >  iTunes: Restoring iOS software

    How many of these you can answer...
    Open Activity Monitor in Applications>Utilities, select All Processes & sort on CPU%, any indications there?
    How much RAM & free space do you have also, click on the Memory & Disk Usage Tabs.
    Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens.
    In the Memory tab, are there a lot of Pageouts?

    Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
    Reset your device: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss)

    You cannot remove the software update notification. It will not go away. If you have the iPad2, you can update the device to iOS 6.0.1. It is your choice to not update, but you cannot remove the update notification.

  • Adobe Flash has been acting funny lately...

    I have been having several issues with adobe flash as of late. It's very strange.
    First I noticed, that when I try to watch a youtube video that's been embedded say, in facebook. I can hear the sound, but all the graphics to it doesn't show up. It's like it's invisible.
    Second thing I noticed, was I tend to frequent webcam chatrooms for fun, and when I try to click "accept or deny" when it asks me if it can access my webcam and mic, it's unresponsive. I can change the settings if I open up the global settings, but anything other than that doesn't work. And there is some sites where doing the global settings thing doesn't work. So. I'm a bit frustrated, and confused. I feel like it came out of no where. I've always kept my flash player up to date.
    I am running Windows XP sp3. I use Firefox. I have the latest version.
    I tried uninstalling and reinstalling adobe flash. Before doing so, it just showed nothing. Now it shows a black box for a brief second, and then it comes up with a popup about needing Xtra font or something. Gosh. This is annoying. T^T Please help.

    Well, you were right about the other thing being shockwave. But I don't see anywhere in the GSM where to allow third party content. And I can't see the one on the official website, so I use the right click option on a flash element. All the options that I can see are set to allow.
    My gosh. I've been trying to roll back to a different version of flash, but you guys have made it impossible. T_T
    I've been sitting here for hours uninstalling flash, restarting my computer, and trying to re-install flash. As far as I can tell, it's version 11.4 being buggy with firefox. Because it doesn't bug out like this in IE. And that's the only other browser I have, just because I haven't removed it.
    Would it be possible to hook a guy up with the first or second versions before this one? Because I'm not liking it.

    Okay, I've had my IPod Touch 4th generation since December 2011. Yes, I have had the IPod for a while now, but it hasn't given me any major problems until now. Ever since a few days ago, I was unable to text, surf the internet, or use social media efficiently because whenever I click on things, it selects others, even when I'm not even close to touching them. I don't think it's uncalibrated, because if it was, the calibration would be seriously bad. When I try texting, it clicks other letters, scrolls through my messages, attempts to delete messages, and when I try to scroll, it sends messages of random letters to my friends! Try explaining to everyone why you keep sending them random letters.  I tried rebooting, but that just made these things occur more frequently. I don't have a screen protector on it, and there aren't any major scratches on the screen. It isn't cracked, either. What should I do?

    There is not calibration.
    Make sure the screen is clean with any screen protector removed.
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost      
    Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

    - Reset all settings                            
    Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
    All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:                                               
    iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.                       
    If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

    OK.  You are meaning the Track Pad?
    Can you describe what you mean by "weird"?
    From your description is seems like "jumpy"  or "laggy" may be appropriate?
    open the application Activity Monitor on the folder "/Applications/Utilities"and click the "Memory" segment at the top.  how much memory do you have and how much is used?

  • Help! 10.5.5 has been acting up lately on my MacBook Pro!

    Here is the deal! Below are a list of bugs that I notice every so often. Please tell me if you have seen any of them before or think there is a way to fix them:
    1) Mail shows that there are two messages at the top of the window, where there is only ONE!
    2) MobileMe no longer syncs my contacts with my iPhone.
    3) The menu bar occasionally doesn't load and I am left with nothing but a dock and desktop.
    4) Certain applications that I have always used perfectly, keep telling me that I have never opened them before when I have at each launch.
    5) My desktop occasionally will have these random black horizontal lines that disappear as an active window moves over them.
    6) Safari downloads will appear in the downloads list and then cannot be removed unless they are relocated from the download folder.
    7) The wi-fi connected will not connect sometimes unless I turn my firewall off and then back on.
    What's the deal? Most importantly, how do I fix the contact issue with MM?

    A few thoughts for diagnosis/testing purposes:
    Have you recently run the disk utility and repaired HD and permissions? If not do so.
    Boot into the Safe mode - hold down shift key on boot - and see if the problems are still there. Some functions won't work but see if anything odd happens.
    Check your startup items. Get rid of them temporarily.
    Create a new user account and see if the problems occur with the new account.
    Lastly, be sure your backup is up-to-date.

  • My dock has been acting strange lately.

    Whenever I open an application that isn't permanently on my dock, it doesn't appear on the dock and when I open an application that is permanently on my dock, such as Safari, the blue indicator light doesn't turn on and if I want to quit the application, I try right-click, "Quit Safari" but it doesn't show the option. My OS system is OS X 10.7.5.
    For example there, I have Safari and iTunes open but none of them have the blue indicator light on.
    And when I right-click, it doesn't show the usual windows open, "New Window" or "Quit" options.

    Restore the phone in iTunes, first using a backup, and if needed as a new phone (without using a backup).  If restoring as new doesn't help, there is a hardware failure or the phone was previously hacked (jailbroken, downgraded, unauthorized unlocking).

  • My Computer has been freezing all of a sudden in the last week and i have to keep doing force shut downs!!!

    My dad usually helps me fix this stuff, well go figure he is on vacation and a day after he leaves, the computer starts giving me problems. im so angry with it right now i might throw it off my balcony...
    The loading icon randomly starts spinning sometimes and wont stop, requiring me to do force shut downs in order to make the computer usable again.  sometimes it does it right away, sometimes it does it after ive been using the computer for a bit... for a while i can switch windows until it completely freezes.  i cant click anything, cant force quit any programs or anything, and i the spinning beachball never goes away!  the computer isn't hot either when it crashes! SO FRUSTRATING! it was perfectly fine until the last week or so. im anything but a computer genious, but i ran the disc utility and it says the drives are fine.  things ive done in the last week.  done the updates that the app store was pestering me with, updated corel painter 12 with the most current patches because that started randomly crashing. well now painter works and its the computer crashing X.x
    I dont have extensions on my safari aside from adblock. and i only have 2 apps downloaded and corel painter is the only software on the mac side of the computer.  parallels has an adobe suite on it but Corel is the only thing that has gone through changes recently... 
    i dont know what to do... i need to work on projects and the computer keeps making me lose progress and keeps giving me frustration. please help if you can...

    Back up all data immediately, if you haven't already done it.
    If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.

    ☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
    ☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
    Step 1
    Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select

    from the menu bar.
    Enter "BOOT_TIME" (without the quotes) in the search box. Note the timestamps of those log messages, which refer to the times when the system was booted.     Every browser or other program (e.g. an HTML editor or a program like MS Word) that can render HTML files should be able to open an HTML file and display its content properly.
    Your Windows OS only shows the file as a Firefox file because you have chosen Firefox as the default browser, so the .html file extension is associated with the Firefox program.
