My address book didn't download onto my new computer
I downloaded Thunderbird when I got my new computer. All my emails came but my entire address book did not. Can anyone tell me how to find it?
We will need some more information before we can help much. Is your new system Windows? Is your old system still operational? Is your email account IMAP or POP3? Was the address book on the old computer or did you use Google Contacts (or some other similar service)?

New computer, authorized account...how to I get my purchases downloaded onto this new computer?
I got a new laptop, but I can't seem to figure out how to re-download the purchases I've made so far. How can I get that music back in my library? When I click the "check for downloads" button or whatever it's called, it says everything's downloaded, but I have nothing in the downloads...can't I get my music from the store since it's memorized my purchases??
I'm afraid you've misunderstood the nature of data on your computer. Yes, you can log into Facebook, GMail, YouTube etc. from any computer and all the content appears in front of you. The same is not true for documents and data created and stored on your own computer. Your iTunes library is this kind of data. It should be backed up on a regular basis and copied to your new computer when you switch machines.
If you stilll have access to the old computer, or it's hard drive, then it should be possible to undo the mistake. If not you can try to log into your iTunes store account from your new computer and use the Report a problem links from a recent purchase as a route through to the store staff. Explain your predicament carefully and calmly, explain that you realise that you have made a foolish error but that you are now unable to access or recover any of the media that you had previously purchased from the store and you would be grateful if they would let you download your purchases again.
The iTunes Store is under no obligation to permit second downloads but reports suggest that the support staff have, on occasion, chosen to do so.

Otherwise, you can download the trial version of the software thru the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.

Can I transfer a book I have downloaded onto my Mac in error? I purchased a book meant for ipad only. Silly me. Could I for example transfer it to my wifes ipad - if so - where would I find it on my Mac.
Mac OS X 10.9 can read the book. Do you have that?

When downloading iTunes onto a new computer, is there any way to automatically important songs from your previous computer? I recently cracked the screen on my computer and cannot access any files. Last time I got a new computer my iTunes media files automatically appeared in my iTunes when I downloaded it, and I did not have to use my external drive. Is this still possible?
If your backup copy of the old computer was not stolen, then use it to put everything back.

My old computer died on me with no warning signs. I didn't know or need to copy my music to another computer. I would like to know how to get the music that I bought onto my new computer without having to buy it all again. I just want to be able to get all of my music that I bought on itunes onto my computer. Right now the money ive spent is just gone and I have no music to show for it.

It appears that 100 songs which I downloaded from Frostwire years ago have the exclamation mark next to them. I cannot find the files on my new computer, and cannot remember where they were saved to on my old computer as it was over 3 years ago. I have also tried to consolidate the files as I've found people suggested, but that is not working. I have also read that you should tell itunes that you are moving the music, but my old laptop cannot be read when it is on. Is there any other way tofix this issue? I don't want to have to buy over 100 songs which I already have.
