My ipod froze so I restarted it, but then it happened again, so I restarted it again, and it was fine but then it ran out of battery. Now when I plug it into the charger it, the Apple sign comes up for 5 seconds then disappears, it doesn't turn on or come up with the charging sign. Is it not going to work again, or is ther something I can do? Please help.
I have the same problem, and my Ipod turned off (when I held the home and power button)
but then when I held down the home button (after turned off) nothing happened, the screen is still black.

I am getting notifications that I have four update on my iPad however when I open the App Store and go to updates nothing shows up. I have restarted and closed and reopened that app what to do?
I think there's a problem with the update server.

My rue la la app for ipad stopped working. I deleted the app and tried to reinstall it, it is no longer available in the app store and when I research it on safari and find it when i try to install it says that it is not available in the us store. What is that all about?
My app did the exact same thing. It is still unavailable on the App Store and when Rue La La's site directs you to download their app, the "not available in the U.S. message appears. This happened to me last night. The app wasn't working, I deleted it and was just going to reinstall but was unable to find the app. I figured it was some glitch but I have tried multiple times this afternoon to no avail.

I'm beginning to feel totally frustrated and functionally illiterate. I've been trying to log into the app store. The apple Id that shows is not the original one I set up when I got my iPad. When I enter the password for the Id that shows, I get the message that I cannot log in. Is there a way for me to change which id shows up?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.Open the App Store app, go to the Featured pane, swipe to the bottom, tap the Apple ID and sign out. Tap again and sign in with the Apple ID of your choosing.

I uninstalled FF and reinstalled it with the same results. IE and Chrome work fine. This is something that just started yesterday afternoon. Can you help?

App store insists that I have something installed, but I don't!
I think somewhere along the lines I deleted Numbers and Pages in an 'incorrect' way, trying to solve another problem. Now I find myself in a weird situation:

3. However they are nowhere on my computer:
I have tried everything:
I've looked online, nothing.
I've tried Appstore support, they can't solve it.
I've enabled the AppStore debug menu and cleared cookies, reset the application, that did not help.
I tried command,or option or shift click on the greyed out "Installed" button in the app store to try and force a reinstall, and that didn't work.
I am stumped. Does anyone know what I should try next?That was an exciting possibility... but it didnt pan out. It sounds like something similar is happening but there is no backup that might be confusing things.
Any other ideas? This is really mysterious (and frustrating!) -
My time machine backup disc has apps from Mountain Lion that won't open now that I have Yosemite. They all say need to be upgraded to Yosemite. Go to app store. But app store sees that I have yosemite so doesn't even show me an udate option. How can Update these files??
How do you know they won't run in Yosemite? You're not trying to fiddle with stuff in your backup from the Finder, are you? If so you are likely to render that backup unusable.
WHen when you restore them from your backup, they should be updateable. -
i cant download iphoto from the app store saying that it belongs to another apple id and i would have to buy it but its not giving me an option to buy it what am i suppose to do.

Apple doesn't answer questions here. Everyone here is a user so we wouldn't know about why there is an issue with your account. If it is a bank card, then you need to check with the bank.

i used an apple account of a friend to download apps to my iphone, the account then closed, now when i tried to update apps i download it from my account or i buy it using my account, its says that i have to put the password of my friend account, and if i want to update any app i downloaded or buy from my i have to delete it and download it again.
what can i do??As far as I know you should be prompted for the password for an account that 'owns' one of the apps that requires updating.
If all of the apps with updates are linked to your account and that is the account that is now logged in, then you could try a reset and see if that helps : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the equivalent of a reboot. -

When I try backing up to icloud it says that I have gone over the free 5gb. It shows that I have 4.6 gb of pictures in my camera roll when I barely have over 200 pictures! Any similiar problems or possible solutions?
You're welcome. Given the number of people who seem to have problems restoring photos from their backup I wouldn't trust the iCloud backup for my photos anyway. I always import them to my computer at least weekly. That way I know I have them.
You might want to check out the app PhotoSync. It makes this pretty easy as it transfers them to your computer wirelessly and keeps track of which ones have already been transferred.

Is the extra VRAM worth it?
I'm looking at getting a 20" iMac Intel Core Duo, and I'm wondering if it's really worth it to get 256MB of VRAM instead of the stock 128MB? Where would the extra VRAM get used? (ie. Will iPhoto or iMovie run faster?) My current PowerBook G4 has 64MB

Firefox is lagging between 1-5 second intervalls
I am using MacBook with OSX 10.5.8 with 2.2 Intel Core 2 Duo and 4Gb RAM. Firefox version 5.0.1. The browser keeps lagging for 0,5 seconds between 1-5 seconds. It is very disturbing.
