My Automator Workflow suddenly Stop working. HELP!
Ok, I work on a high media production facility and every day I need to send audio files on a server. I create a workflow that has been working fine since day one. Yesterday I received a call from the network department saying they didin't received the files correctly (some files were missing and some of them duplicated) I check my files and every each of them were fine. I tried again and it was a mess again. I ended doing it manually (because of the deadline) but I don't know what happened. I check the workflow and everything is fine. What is happening? I attached a pic just in case you need to look at it.

I ran into this simple problem too. The problem is, is that sometimes the workflow will run and pass onto the next action even when it does not complete a process (i.e. copying, saving, etc). It was baffling me as well, why Automator actions would not wait until the full process of the action gets done.
So I searched around, and I found a great 3rd party automator action (sold at the App Store), where it will make it wait until it completes each action. Here it is:
You can find the action here. Unfortunately you will need to buy it (comes in a package - but it's cheap). I did and ever since using it, all my automator actions that involve heavy processing got debugged and worked. Thought you should know.

My TFT display suddenly stopped working HELP! G4 MDD DP1.25
Hi all...could use some pointers here. My formac 17" TFT display has suddenly stopped working on my MDD G4 DP1.25 - I use the standard graphics card. Turned the mac on today, and the display just wont turn on, though the silver light on the display flashes (as in standby) which means it's getting power. I also have a CRT display attached to the same card, and it's working as normal which I presume means that the graphics card is not dead. I tried booting from a different startup volume, same result. Any ideas please?? thanks!
no it doesn't support multiple inputs, it just has an on/off switch and is connected to the radeon 9000 pro graphics card (as shipped with the G4) via the ADC connector. Like I said, the VGA monitor that's hooked up to the same card works ok. And....weirder still, the Formac monitor has USB ports on the back, and although the monitor will no longer work (just the pulsing light on the front suggesting it's in stanbdy mode) the USB devices will still work when connected to the monitor - so this means either the card is half working or the monitor is half working!!! But I need to know which before I spend any $$$. Anyone got any ideas please? thanks!

Try the following:
- A reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPad: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPad.

Camera suddenly stopped working HELP
I have been editing with a Canon ZR-80 on my G-4 laptop. For no reason, that I can determine, the set-up stopped working today. I hooked everything up and when I opened FCP it said it was not seeing a device. I made sure the camera was in VCR mode, cable secure, on etc and everything was fine. I continued and tried to capture anyway. When I pressed play the camera started playing the video, but you couldn't see it on the log and capture screen. It just says, Device not available.
Please help!update quicktime today?

To do a full quicktime reinstall.
Go to /library/receipts and delete any files that say Quicktime followed by a number e.g. Quicktime703.pkg
Go to the Apple quicktime site and download the appropriate version of Quicktime to your hard drive.
Run the Quicktime installer.
Repair Disk Permissions for your System Disk (Disk Utility > Select the system disk > Repair Disk Permissions)
Reboot

AEBS suddenly stopped working -- help?
I've had this AEBS for just over a year, and it's worked just fine up through last night. This morning, though, it stopped connecting, though the "fan" in my menu bar showed four bars. I thought it was a problem with my DSL, but the telephone repairman gave the DSL a clean slate of health and showed me that connecting directly to the DSL router with Ethernet was working fine. He did repair the problem I was having with my phones, though.
I haven't added any new "devices" (microwaves, cordless phones, etc.) that weren't here yesterday, nor have I changed any settings. I suppose something could have gone haywire and changed on its own, but that doesn't seem too likely.
I've been given a brand-new DSL modem (it didn't make any difference), and I've restarted my AEBS, all to no avail. If it helps, I use 128-bit WEP with a password. If there's other information you need, just let me know.
So now my MacBook is connected with a wire, but that takes away the advantage of having a laptop. Can anyone point me in the right direction to fix this problem? Thanks!The same thing happens to me when I do a security update. Check out this thread:

It might be your keychain. When I logoff or shutdown, I'll see a popup message: Confirm Application Change
If I "Change All" then the next time I log in, I can connect to the Air Port. Anyway, check out the thread and see if it helps.

I installed Firefox two weeks ago, and have not had any problems. Now, as of 9:00pm, I am not able to connect to the internet. When I try to troubleshoot it, it tells me theres an incompatible application. I'm not sure what this means. I'm not good with computers, so help please?! I've uninstalled it twice, and restarted my computer twice, and re installed Firefox. Still not working.

My flashplayer has suddenly stopped working, help!
Hey guys, I am having the same problem with my Flash player! 2 days ago, I was playing Candy crush on FB and everything was fine! Last night I logged in and tried to play and it said I needed to upgrade my Flash Player! I looked in my control panel (add/remove programs) and Adobe Flash player 12 active X is listed and well as the plugin and they are both enabled in IE and FireFox! Went to Adobe.com to try to re-install and as I click on Install now, it just takes me to the Adobe.com homepage! I am running Windows XP. I have, of course, noticed I can not watch alot of my videos, etc. I did the Adobe Flash player CHECK and it says that it is not installed at all.... I of course, did nothing to the computer, ie.. install new programs or delete or anything of the sort, it is just so weird, it just stopped running all together! Help Please!!!

Internal Microphone suddenly stopped working, help please.
That is my problem. I have updated my driver, restored my computer to a time where my mic worked. It was working earlier today, then when I restarted my laptop, I had the legendary Toshiba startup issue. Once I got that figured out and got back onto my computer, I got bluescreened. Eventually I fixed my computer, with this last remaining issue. I've never had issues with my internal microphone.
It's not muted, it's enabled. How can I plug it in when it's an internal microphone? I'm very frustrated. Someone help me. I've been searching for a way to fix it for two hours and I haven't come up with a single solution that's solved the problem.

Automations/Watchers suddenly stop working.
Hi, I have a strange problem. In the last days my watch folders don't seem te work right. The watch folders always worked just fine. But now they won't respond.
All the internal transcodes of final cut server work just fine.
After a reboot of the server in the sys pref, it picks up a couple of qued clips that sit in the dropfolders. But if they are finished all the new qued files won't be picked up by final cut server.
The watch folders are placed on a Xsan storage connected via gbit to my network.
All the transcode settings are good, in compressor (on the xserve) they work just fine.
After a restore of the final cut server database it worked fine for 2 days.
I havent change any major setting on the server or in fcs.
Does someone now whats wrong?

I also found out that episode also causes problems. They have a compressor plugin and the latest version gives errors when communicating with compressor. A solve would be to go back to an earlier version of the plugin.

It seems that the basic settings of episode work fine when used with compressor. But when you create a new one than it doesn't seem to work in compressor.
When you copy a preset and make it your own, then it seems to work. -
MacBook 2008 wifi suddenly stopped working and says no wifi hardware. Took it to an apple shop, they said it could be the airport card but wouldn't do anymore then that.
Any help on how to fix this? How do I know if it is the airport card or not?
is there anything else I can try first?

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. Do you get sound on any apps e.g. Music and Videos but not others ? If you do then have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the Music and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. While trying to use my iTunes library it will suddenly stop working with the error message Runtime error R6025 pure virtual function call.
Help???Just responded to this in another thread (note we used Captivate 7 so it might be a different error).
We found that when we created files with embedded swf files that existed ABOVE widgets in the timeline, when someone else tried to open our file it broke/we got the runtime error. The original person could still open it for a time, but eventually the cache would clear and they couldn't.
However, if we ensured swf files are BELOW widgets in the source files, it didn't break. In fact, if we found one that was breaking and got the author to move the swf file on the timeline, it would start working for others.

Help! My airport has suddenly stopped working!
I was mid browse and airport suddenly stopped working. I know it's not my wireless router as I can still connect with my wifi only iPad (typing this with it)
I have tried everything. Rebooted several times. Ran fsck twice. Ran repair permissions. Cleaned caches etc.
I can't even run network diagnostics because it won't accept the password even though I know it's right.
Any help appreciatedI now suspect a corrupt plist. Can anyone suggest which one(s) to try removing?
