My computer keeps crashing when I use Firefox. This has been happenning for the last 2 weeks, but as of 3 days ago it's just impossible. What can I do, I keep having to reload every 10 minutes because it freezes up and crashes.
This has been happening when I'm on Facebook and playing games. It just freezes up and not even the cursor moves. I have to hit Ctrl Alt Del in order to disconnect and reload. Every time it happens I have sent report , but nothing seems to help. Yesterday I went and I cleared out all my cookies to see if it would help; but today it's impossible.

the behavior you are reporting can be many things...so lets start asking a few questions. Did you remove or add anything to your computer before all this started ?...can you temporarily disable your anti virus and try again? is IE ( internet explorer ) working fine?

I don't think it's every webpage, but most of them, and all pages open instantly in Internet Explorer but Firefox takes minutes to open a page and just sits there with a white screen while it's loading.
It's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not caused by one (or more than one) of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe mode] (don't forget to select ''Disable all add-ons'' when you start safe mode). If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. Has anyone seen this problem? I need to have this function working as part of my job and I'm going to be out of reach of hotspots starting tomorrow. It's critical I get this working asap.

Why is there too much extra info attached to my photo cd, when I simply burnt only 6 pictures on it?
This has been happening for several months now.
It used to work correctly.
For example:
I burnt a photo file of 25 pictures from my iphoto collection.
When I went to the store to print them, the computer indicated there were 155 photos on it.
All were cropped versions of my 25 pictures.
Weird.
Then when I only burnt 6 pictures today onto a cd, I took the disc to a Print Shop.
Sure enough, the disc had other data and files associated with photos on it.
Yes, my 6 were on it, but the Print Shop had to spend extra time searching for them.
What's uP?For what it's worth, you posted this in 2011, and here in 2014 I am still having this same issue. Over the last two days, I have had to unlock my apple account 8 times. I didn't get any new devices. I haven't initiated a password reset. I didn't forget my password. I set up two factor authentication and have been able to do the unlocking with the key and using a code sent to one of my devices.
That all works.
It's this having to unlock my account every time I go to use any of my devices. And I have many: iMac, iPad, iPad2, iPad mini, iPhone 5s, iPod touch (daughter), and my old iPhone 4 being used as an ipod touch now. They are all synced, and all was working just fine.
I have initiated an incident with Apple (again) but I know they are just going to suggest I change my Apple ID. It's a simple one, and one that I am sure others think is theirs. I don't want to change it. I shouldn't have to. Apple should be able to tell me who is trying to use it, or at least from where.

If you are using the My Tasks to drive the task updates then you can use the 'Applied Requests and Errors' available under 'Go To' in the Task Updates area. Here the PM can find when requests have been approved and how many updates he/she received for a
particular task (by clicking the task name) etc.

It seems the problem was with my computer and not with FireFox. Finally, my PC stopped working. Had to get a brand new PC, there seems to be no problem with version 7.0.1 - all is fine so far. -
So since I did the update on my phone, it rarely accepts picture messages. Usually the icon will show there is a message there (mine is up to 4 now), however it doesn't come through and I can't access it. I have tried a soft reset and simply restarting my phone, but it isn't working.

Just so I'm clear, you do not receive picture messages at all? You see the message notification but when you check there is no message?
You mentioned this started after the software update. Try removing the SIM card and powering off the phone for a minute. Insert the SIM card and power the phone on. Test, by sending yourself a picture message and see if you receive it. Then have someone else send you a picture message and see if you receive it. Keep me posted.

Over the past month, when Firefox indicates it has an update for me, and to download it, all I get is "connecting" and nothing happens. We live in 96822. This is for a Mac.
If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop
* Firefox 5.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
* Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re-)install
* Install the new version that you have downloaded
Your profile data is stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder], so you won't lose your bookmarks and other personal data. -
I just got an upgraded hard drive for my laptop about a week ago and I have nothing but Windows 7 and Adobe on it along with an AntiVirus program. It was performing very fast and then 3 days ago my internet programs started running really slow and stalling/freezing. Is there anything I can do?
yeah i've had the same problem with screen freezing. takes a while for it to come back also. says it's not responding.

I go to "tools" then popup blocker "exceptions". (I have the block popups checked.) When I enter "www.paypal.com" and add it in, everything is OK for about 12 hours (or less). I will check to see if the exception is still there within 12 hours and there is nothing in my exceptions. I have added as many as three exceptions entered only to have them all disappear within a few hours.
This severely cramps my attempt to print shipping labels on the PayPal website.
I thought this latest version of Firefox cured the issue, but it did not.Make sure that you do not use [[Clear Recent History]] to clear the "Site Preferences"
Clearing "Site Preferences" in "Clear Recent History" will remove exceptions that are stored in content-prefs.sqlite (site specific settings for zoom) and permissions.sqlite (exceptions for images, cookies, pop-ups, software; Tools > Page Info > Permissions) in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder].
The password exceptions (Tools > Options > Security: Passwords: Show Passwords) are also removed from signons.sqlite. -

If you uninstall and reinstall Quicktime, does that help? Click Start, then Control Panel. Find your Programs and Features icon (it may be labeled "uninstall a program" or something similar) and then uninstall Quicktime.Then go to [http://www.apple.com/quicktime/ http://www.apple.com/quicktime/], download and install Quicktime.
If that still doesn't work, start Firefox up in Safe Mode, and see if that makes any difference. [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]]
