My Computer Rebooted and erased all my music
well my brother was messing with my computer and actually rebooted the computer he did not know that it would erase all the files. is there any way i can still update my ipod without deleting all the song i have in my ipod now?
you will first have to use yamipod to copy the music off the ipod and back to the PC, then after that you can update the iPod http://www.yamipod.com/main/modules/home/

Hello. I am in need of some help please. I miss and remove all music off mt ipad mini. now it won't sync or re-sync. Can someone please help me. I was also sent a message saying there was a error. Help Please
Okay, doing my best to ignore the EXTREMELY annoying font you chose to use.
Is there a reason why you did not create a backup of your media and other important files before switching from Vista?
It is the users responsibility to back up their media, it is NOT Apple's responsibility.
When you purchase CD's or DVD's, if you lose them, you repurchase them. Same deal with digital media.
If you have a backup of your media, simply copy the files from the backup to your computer.
If you still have access to your old computer, simply copy the files from it to your new computer. -
Computer crash and lost all my music, can I get it back?
I still have all my music on my Ipod but my question is if I reinstall Itunes will I be able to import my music from my Ipod back onto the new Itunes?
HELP.What you do now is import your music from your backup CD's, DVD's and external hard drives. If you have failed to adequately provide backups of your digital music collection than you are in trouble. Good luck. I hope you have most of your music still available on the original audio cds. How much music do you have?

When I plug in iPhone (5.1.1) to computer, playlists show up on the iPhone (when plugged in), that do not appear when it is not plugged in. And I can't erase them. I have iTunes match, and deleted all my music on the iPhone, but that had no effect on the phantom playlist that shows up on the PC when I plug in the iPhone to the PC. I cannot manually move songs or playlists from the PC to the iPhone
Help greatly appreciated.Unplug your Iphone out of your computer and replug it back in. It took me several times before I could do this

On my iPhone, I have songs from a CD that I bought and no longer have. I now have a new computer and it is telling me that to move songs that I only have on my computer, I must erase all of the music from my iPhone (It also says that my phone is already synced with another computer so it has to download everything). I would like to keep all of the music on my Phone and still be able to have these songs from my computer on my iPhone. Help!
The iPhone is not a storage device. iPhone is designed to sync with 1 computer and
iPhone sync only one way computer -> iPhone except content bought from iTunes.

After having yet another problem with my MacBook Pro and having to wipe the drive, I am now unable to sync my iPhones etc without erasing all the music on them. Is there a way around this? I have no other library!
iTunes is a mess! It couldn't find it's own libraries and I was forced to create a new one. Now I don't know where my music is or if any's missing.columbus new boy wrote:
How crap is that?
It's not crap at all.
It's not that simple. For example, I've 3500 songs on my MacBook but don't want them all on my phone, so I have to manually select each song again???
There has to be a solution.
Why not simply make a playlist with the songs you want on the iPhone?
and maintain a current backup of your computer. -
I have 2 computers (1 Pc and 1 MAC) and 1 Iphone. The I phone is synchronised with the PC. I want to synchronised it also with my MAC, without erasing all my music and files. Someone can help me to find the answer ?
i have already try the copy/paste thing with the ID of the file "iTunes Music Library.xml" it didn't change a thing. each time I relaunched Itunes, the ID is the first I have in the MAC.
I have more than 5 000 files of music. I don't want to recreate one by one all my playlits.
Many thnaks for your answers.
ConstanceYou can sync iphone with one and only one computer at a time. If you sync to another, it will erase the current content and replace with content form the new computer. There is no way around this.
Put everything on one computer and sync from there.
BTW, you posted in the Home Share forum. Your question seems to have nothing to do with home share. -
Having issues with the music player on my iphone 5, i have restored it but want to erase all my music off my iphone and start again from scratch, how do i do this without erasing all the content off my phone?
Launch iTunes and plug you device into your computer. Select your device from the menu on the left and then in the window that opens select the Music Tab at the top. In the window that opens uncheck the Sync Music checkbox and then click Sync button in the low right side of iTunes. After the sync is complete your music will no longer be on the device.
Hope that helps. -
If I was to get a new computer and transfer all my music from my itunes on my old computer to hard drive then to my new computer and itunes, could I make a new itunes account on my new computer and still be able to use my old songs?
I am getting a new computer and I know I can transfer my music on my old computer to my new one with a hard drive but me and brother currently share an account and I would like my own, once I get a new computer can I make a new account on my new itunes and still be able to keep my old music and be able to sync it and play it etc?? Anyone with information on this would be muchly appreciated!!! Thank you in advance! Oh and I currently have a windows but will be getting a mac book pro most likelyThe music sync is one one way - computer to ipod. The exception is itunes purchases. File>Transfer Purchases
Have you failed to maintain a backup copy of your computer? -
So I had an ipod touch, got a lot of my music from my old CD's that i later threw away, then got a new computer and lost all my music on my itunes, but still have it all on my itouch. I just simply want to get my music from my itouch to my computer. I now have a iphone and it would be nice to put some of that music on my phone as well.
Hope someone can help me!!!
thanks,
SophiaWhile that may work9I do not think it will) with iTunes purchased music it will not work for other music.
- Transfer iTunes purchases by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
- For other music you will need a third-party program like one of those discussed here.
Copy music -
My iPod Touch is te 4th generation with iOS 4 only... The desktop that it used to connect with was broken and I couldn't update my iPod touch as all content is linked to the iTunes on that broken PC. If I got a new Mac book pro soon, would it helps backuping everything?awesome121, he does not an an iCloud account. You need iOS 5 or later for iCloud and the poster said he has iOS 4.
