My husband and I share the same music library on my Mac.
How do I give him access to the music on his iPhone using the iTunes Match

Is there a way that I can change my husband's Apple account to be included with my Apple ID? Then would he be able to share the music?
Apple IDs cannot be combined or merged, so, no. However he can still continue to sync his iPhone with iTunes just has he has been doing.
FYI, the most likely reason the system is set up like this is because the record labels (i.e. the copyright holders) demanded it. They are terrified of "piracy" and so do everything in their power to make actually using their digital products difficult for consumers.
If you wish to cancel and get a refund you'll need to contact iTunes Store support directly.

my ipad imessages are coming up on my husband's iphone. Is that because we share an apple id account. How can we have separate apple id's and still share the same music library.
The biggest problem I have is with cross texting. My friends send my a imessage on ipad to ipad and it comes up as message on my husband's phone as well as my ipad?
My friends definitely do not want my husband seeing their texts. (and I dont really need him to see my responses either)

My husband and I share the same apple Id for our iphones, now each one has different contacts, email, pictures, information, etc how coul I change the id of my iphone without delete any information?
Welcome to the Apple Community.
Deleting an account from a device will not delete the information from the account, if that is what you are asking. -
How do i make icloud work if my husband and I share the same itunes account but we dont want to get each others contacts, messages, apps etc?
Each of you should set up your separate iCloud account on your own computer using your Apple ID. This gives you two independent iCloud accounts.
Note that an iPad is not a multi-user device. It can only be synced with one account. -
My husband and I share the same email address at home. Is there some way creating an Apple ID using the same email address? We have multiple apple devices at home (2x iphone4, imac, mini ipad, and notebook) and want our emails from that one address to come through on the different devices.
No, you cannot have the same primary email address used for two separate Apple IDs.
However, you can sign into the same email address on your separate devices for the purposes of receiving mail. Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts & Calendars > Add Account.
Apple IDs are for using Apple services, like the App Store, iTunes, etc.
Email addresses (while used as the NAME of an Apple ID), are separate entities. -
Can I Share the itune music that I purchase with my husband even if we have different Apple ID passwords?

My husband and I share a computer, have the same e-mail address, and have one iTunes account. Can we have different Apple ids on our individual iPhones or do we have to use the same one?
For purchasing from the iTunes and App stores, you will probably want to share the same Apple ID. But for other services such as iMessage, FaceTime and iCloud, you should use separate IDs. For example, if you use the same ID for iMessage you'll start getting each other's text messages. If you use the same ID for FaceTime you may get each other's FaceTime calls. If you set up the same iCloud account with the same ID, and data you sync with the account will be merged and the merged data will appear on all devices (i.e., you'll end up with each other's contacts and calendar events). You would also be sharing the same 5GB of free iCloud storage rather than each having your own 5GB of space.

My husband and I have iphones that use the ame apple ID, but different numbers and email addresses, how do we change the phone number that is associated with his ipod to his phone number?
Use his ID for Settings>Messages>Send And Recieve and for Settings>FaceTime.
If he does not have an ID then
Create a NEW account using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before.

HT1727 How do i set up 2 different apple id's on one PC and share the same music library?
Hi, I have one PC but 2 apple id's between me and my wife and both of us need access to the music library and need to be able to sync our devices and preferences seperately. How is this possible? Any help would be appreciated...
- Disable autosyncing: go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and check the box that says "Prevent iPods ...syncing">
- Connect the iPod and go to the music, apps and other panes for the iPod and check the boxes that say only sync the checked items. -
My husband and I have been sharing an I cloud account. He can't update his phone due to our shared account. I want to get him a new account and was told to delete the current I cloud account off his phone and just create a new one. The problem is that it wants to keep accessing the old one. I don't want my I cloud account changed. I don't know what to do. Any advice?
Did he have find my iPhone enabled under that iCloud account? If so, add the account back to his phone. Then in the iCloud account settings, disable find my iPhone first (you will be prompted for your password), then remove the account.
Now you can create or add a new iCloud account to it using his own AppleID.
Alternatively, you could log in to your www.icloud.com account in a web browser. Using the find my iPhone app there, remove his iPhone from your list of associated devices (he will have to power his iPhone off for you to do that).
After his iPhone is set up for his own iCloud account, on your iPhone, go to
settings->iCoud->Storage & Backup->Manage Storage and delete his iPhone's backup file to make more room on your own iCloud storage account. -
Can a Mac and a Win share the same music library on an external?
I have a Powerbook, my wife a Toshiba laptop, both are authorized under my account. She's relatively new to iTunes and ipod so she has a small library on her Win machine. My Itunes library has grown so large I'm about to move it to an external drive. I'd like her to be able to access that library to load her ipod.
Is it a matter of formatting the external the correct way?
Powerbook G4 Mac OS X (10.3.9)Interesting question!
I think the answer is FAT32, but I'd rather you tried NTFS first.

I am inquiring about the question, does someone have an answer, and if its possible, how do I do that?
