My iphone 4s deleted all of my books, music, and podcasts from my phone and now will not allow me to put them back on there.
As stated in the title, I was redownloading old purchases. After transferring a tv show onto my iphone it would not allow me to transfer another one. I wasn't able to locate the show on my phone, so then I checked my music. All of my music and podcasts were missing. My books were showing up at first, but then as soon as I closed out of one that I was reading and clicked on a different one they all vanished as well. I tried dragging on a song, a book, a show, and I kept getting the circle with the line through it. I have no idea what to do. My phone has always been set up to manually manage music and videos. When I selected to sync all music it still wouldn't do anything.
I've also recently, within the past 4 hours, uninstalled and reinstalled itunes because it kept crashing when I was trying to download my old purchases. I've done it before and haven't had any issues with it deleting anything before. I'm in the process of restoring my phone in the hopes that this will work, but I don't know if it will.
Anyone out there that can help me?
iPhone 3G is Old technology. When it was launched it had iOS 2.0. Currently, the highest it can go is iOS 4.2.1 and therefore can not handle many newer applications. As you have recorded, it is giving good service for which it has been designed.
Needless to say, if you want to use applications as stated, you must have at least 3GS, whose current is iOS 6.1.2. On the lighter side; Rather than updating iOS they are asking you to update iPhone (Technology). Cheers

Have you tried syncing the iPhone to your computer and restoring from the backup to see if you can get your other songs back? If you purchased the new album with your Apple ID, you should be able to download it to your computer to sync. -
i have tried to download version11.1 to my itunes so that I can transfer all my info to my new iphone 5 c i am using an imac operating system 10.6.8 OSX it will not allow me to download this !
What error message ar eyou getting. Why do you say it will not allow you to download?

Hi. For some reason my iPhones sound for all ring tone, lock, music loudspeaker has become very foamy and can hardly hear it. Both speakers are still working however just at low sound. In settings volume is turned up and bottons on the side are fully up.?

The Storage space its referring to is on iCloud. How much iCloud space is left, and how much space is your iPhone using?

How do you delete songs from Itunes? I have many that show up as many as 7 times and itunes will not allow me to remove them.
I have tried to Hilight them and hit Control Delete nothing happens. I tried to just Delete one, but when you hit delete nothing happens.

I stream video/audio from my iPhone to AppleTV (like YouTube) and it works fine. I want to use headphones on the iPhone so I can stream the video to AppleTV and listen on the headphones, but Airplay will not allow me to select both AppleTV and headphones, I can only select one. Sent photos from iPhone to email and messenger on iPad intercepted but now will not let me see them. Help?
If you sent the photos directly from the Photos app, it is quite possible that you selected Message rather than Mail when you emailed them to yourself. I assume that is how they ended up in the Messages app. I also assume that you no longer have the old phone or you could just email them to yourself again. Is that a correct assumption? If you cannot access the photos on the old phone any longer, and you can see them in the messages app randomly, try closing the Messages app completely and reset the device and then see if the photos reappear.
In order to close the Messages app, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to Messages and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Next, reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -
ITunes will not allow me to put music (or anything else) on my iPhone. HELP
Recently got a new laptop which means the new iTunes had to be downloaded unfortunately. Now, iTunes will not let me add files to my iPhone 4s WITHOUT erasing all contents and syncing with the current itunes library (says it is synced with another itunes library). Here are the things i am aware of and have tried:
1: backing up your iphone to the computer does not backup anything but settings (thanks for telling me iTunes) SO, I made the mistake of erasing all my songs and other files and was forced to re-source all of my music.
2: I tried to check "manually manage music and videos" but it will not let me apply without AGAIN erasing and re-syncing with my current library
3: It seems that any time i put something new or remove something in the library it tells me my iphone belongs to another library and wont manually sync
4: I have authorized my new computer to my itunes account
5: My music has NO "!" next to them
6: I have checked "do not sync automatically"
7: I have checked "sync only songs and videos"
8: All of my songs are checked when i try to manually drag them into my phone (produces a red cross out symbol)
9: when it re-synced the first time it pulled 9 songs into my iPhone which it now will not let me delete from my iPhone
10: my iPhone has plenty of capacity, im only putting 300 songs on it and its empty soooo
11: I have reinstalled / updated this terrible software twice so it cant be that.
If apple intends for you to erase your phone every time you want to add even just one more song, they would be adding to their list of blantant failures in the past year. Someone please tell me this is not the case. HELPHey! I had the same problem you did just today when I was trying to get my second iPhone to sync. What you need to do with music or anything extra that you doing you have to creat a second playlist or picture or anything that you would like to use, so that you can add to the second device that you are going to be using. I am not sure if that will help but it helped me out a lot!! Good luck!

Krisit depends on whether or not the contacts are in a contacts program on your computer and where they are on your phone. if they're on your phone in icloud, then no. if they're on your phone from an email account, then no. if they're on your phone in a group called 'from my pc' or 'outlook' or something like that, then yes, by default, they'll most likely come back to your phone from your computer

Hi All, I reluctantly upgraded to IOS 7.1.1 on my IPAD last night , reluctant as every upgrade which promises fixes which dont impact me causes problems that do , which I fix via this community. Today I can no longer access my WIFI at home, my non Apple devices all work fine.I have tried all the online suggestions I can find for this, reset facgtory settings, it will not allow me to 'forget this network', I try to reconnect and it asks for my password which I know is correct and it says it cannot access my network. It can access an unsecured one I believe, but that is not ideal. Any fresh suggestions would be really welcome, please. Many thanks

I am trying to restore an old iphone to a new iphone but it will not allow becaue it says the "old iphone" password is incorrect but the passwork I am using works for my ITunes account and is the only password I have..?? Please help!! Thank you.
When using the iPhone with the Windows OS, you need to have the Apple Mobile Device Service running. It should start automatically when you start the computer, but sometimes things happen. Use this support document to try and restart the service. See if that helps.

Volume on my iPhone 5c keeps turning off, and now will not allow me to access WIFI
i went into apple bc the volume was not working at all, well now it will randomly just shut off and i will have to turn it back on, i have missed several phone calls due to this. on top of it all, it will not allow me to turn on the WIFI in either the settings or the pull up bar
If Apple serviced the phone, there is a 90 days warranty on the repair. Bring it back and let them check the phone.
