i have an iphone4 bought from orange israel i've tried cellcom and pelephone but all of them give me no service and when i make airplane on give me invalid sim but the sims is already new , after that i've called organe support about the problem i, they have checked my iphone4 if it's locked they told me it's already unlocked but it's not, also when try to activate it , it tell me not valid sim just work on orange can someone help and i've checked this page http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1937 if iphone is locked in israel and they are not

I suggest your problem is cutting your sim
Get a genuine micro sim and if that fail post back
If everyone tells you there is no lock there is probably no lock the problem is your sim
If you still believe it is locked go to an Apple store
Just noticed you are in Palestine is that served by Israel's carriers ?????

If the iphone is locked to Orange in Israel then only Orange in Israel can authorise Apple to release the lock .No one else

If you did not erase your apps and data before getting rid of your old phone, try using Find My Phone and erasing everything remotely. See if this works.

If you have a Japanese iPhone and are using it with any carrier other than Softbank or AU, then it was hacked, since as the others have said neither of those carriers unlock iPhones. Therefore if you upgrade iOS or restore your iPhone, it will lock back to the original carrier and be unusuable with your current cell provider.
We cannot help you with jailbroken iPhones. You'll have to look elsewhere for further assistance.

First try one of these methodes:
Try to restart your iPhone
Hold the power button and slide to turn off, then turn it on
if you still have the same problem then try the second methode:
Reset Settings of your device:
Settings>> General>> Reset >> Reset All Settings
Make sure you reset only your settings and NOT any other Contents
if you still have the same problem, so it seems to be a hardware issue, take it to the nearest Apple Store.

If you bought it from an Apple Store you will need to contact the Apple Store to see if they can help you. This forum is a user to user forum and frankly I've never seen a question like yours come up. If you purchased it with a credit card then it should be pretty simple to get a copy of your statement and see if the "they" you are referring to will accept that as proof of purchase.

ONLY the carrier it's locked to can authorize unlocking it.
Ask whoever you got it from who it's locked to or call AppleCare and give them the serial number.
