My iphone suddenly goes crazy! It's speaking all the time! Non-stop!!!

I upgraded my phone to OS4 abt 2 wks ago!
My phone started to speak endlessly after I tried to unlock it by inputting the password. Whereever u touched it, it just started to speak. However, u r not allowed to do any input or to scroll up & down...
I tried to connect it to itunes in the hope the problems cld b solved...but not successful at all... as the same problems remain unchanged. The local Iphone support is off now, what can I do?
I even tried to hold the power switch button for 10sec in order to get it reset...however, even after "reset", when u turned on the phone, it still said "enter password" ... however when u tried to key in the numbers, u could only hear it speak the numbers and the alphabets underneath again... how annoying it is....
do I really need to restore my phone to factory mode in Itunes?! All the settings and apps would then have to be restored which is really troublesome, time consuming & annoying, too....

It sounds like you may have the handicap access turned on. Go to the apple help pages to learn how to navigate with finger swipes to get to your settings pages where you can turn this off. I was playing with this feature and I suddenly found I was not able to navigate as usual. I discovered by accident that swiping from left to right worked like a tab button.

• CPU Fan going crazy (over 3500 rpm) all the time iMac 24"

Hello,
I have had an iMac 24" since Aug 2009. I had no problem until up a month ago (coincidentally after I installed Mountain Lion).
The CPU fan becomes very noisy, reaching 3500 rpm and more. I checked and the CPU temperature is around 90C when this happens.
It happens invariably after very little usage of the computer. Sometimes it's when I'm watching a DVD, sometimes is when I'm copying files from a USB hard drive, sometimes I'm just surfing the web.
I have brought my computer to the Apple Store twice already. The first time they told me I should reinstall the OS from scratch, after erasing the disk (which I did), the second time they told me they had found the problem and fixed it, for free! but it presented itself as soon as I turned it on back home.
The CPU temperature is around 80C right now, and I only have safari opened and I haven't reinstalled any program since I reinstalled the OS.
Do you have any idea of what it could be? Could it be that the sensor is detecting a wrong temperature? In this case, could I set the fan speed manually? I know it is not advisable, but the people from the apple store are not helping
Thanks for any help you could give me,
Biagio

Please start by doing a SMC Reset,
Shut down the computer.
Unplug the computer's power cord and all peripherals.
Wait fifteen seconds.
Attach the computer's power cord.
Wait five seconds, then press the power button to turn on the computer.
If necessary repeat process.

• HT201272 The screen on my iphone has suddenly become very sensitive and mutes all the time?

The screen on my iphone has suddenly become very sensitive and mutes ny calls all the time I know there was a bug fix but don't know how to find it?

If your screen is flickering, you might have a hardware issue there. I would take Macie to the doctor and have her checked out.

• IPhone 4 shuts down on its own all the time. Sometimes restarts without ability to make calls, receive emails, and the wrong time. Only a restore fixes it. What can I try?

So my iPhone had a broken screen and back for a while, which may have something to do with this. I mean like missing peices. I realize this leads to corrosion and I may have a broken iPhone but this is a really strange problem. It's always shutting off on its own, sometimes in my pocket while locked and sometimes randomly while in use. For example the other day this started happening everytime I started safari. This happens all the time, I usually just restart it and it works for a while. Sometimes after shutting off a few times in a row, after restarting it will show the wrong time, screws up phone calls and says that it cannot locate the gmail server, or something to that extent (won't load emails). The phone calls are weird, I can't receive any. Any calls that are made from the phone, go through on the other side and ring for them, but won't ring or make a connection on my side, also I can't end the call when this happens, it responds to me pressing end by fading the screen to that graytone color that it does before ending usually but stays on that screen whenever you go back to it, only disappearing after reseting. Texts work, not in iMessage, and internet seems to work. The only thing that fixes this condition is a restore. The iphone has been turning itself off over the last 3 months and its been getting progressively worse. Recently its been pretty bad, and then the phone started to do all that weird stuff I've been talking about. That started about 3 weeks ago and has happened 4 times, the last two times relatively close together. This is really annoying and I can't afford to replace it. Do I have to live with it? What can I try? Should I maybe replace the battery? I took the panel off to look at it and the plastic around it was pitted possibly from being really hot.

Please don't respond with useless comments. I've already addressed the fact that my screen was broken a few months ago. My phone may or may not be broken beyond repair either way, as I said before I can't afford a new phone. It's a strange problem because from what I can tell no one else has posted the same problem anywhere I can find. Don't be a dickhole.

• My iPhone 5 restarts after 2-5 minutes all the time!

My iPhone 5 restarts all the time.
Worked fine for about a week, but after pressing use for development in Xcode, it started happening.
Restore to new iPhone did not help.
Anyone with the same problem?
- Christian

I have the same problem man.
Iphone 5 16g black
Keeps restarting itself every 2-5 minutes.
I restored it, did not back it up and start as new phone. Problem still occuring.
The typing on the phone seems too glichy as well as scrolling on the screen
Right before the iPhone restarts itself, wavy lines appear and shuts off and reboots.
Battery fully charged, however the percentage is off. (when charging the % gets stuck at random, not giving accurate reading.)
As I typed this my iPhone 5 has restarted itself 3 times.
Apple, please help us out fast. I dont want to drive to the apple store thats 50 miles away either. Thanks!

Dear All,
To my recent notice, my iPhone 4S has not been backed up from the time I bought it (4 months ago). After which everytime I go into the <Back-up now> option, it says that 'Last backup could not be completed'. Any suggestions on solving this please
Not with they limited information you have provided so far. Are you backing up to iCloud or to iTunes on your computer? Do you have the latest version of iTunes on your computer? Was it installed from a Windows or Mac user ID that had administrator privileges? Does the phone show up in iTunes? What is your operating system? Are you using a USB port directly on your computer (not a hub)? If it's a USB port on the computer and you have a desktop or tower computer is the port on the back, not on the front?

• Is it better to turn off iPhone at night, or just leave on all the time?

This has often been asked of computers as well - Is it generally thought better to turn the iphone off at night and charge it (if needed) or just let it stay in standby mode all the time and plug in to charge when needed. In other words, just leave it on all the time and sleep when not in use (like my MBP), or on/off, on/off, on/off, etc...

I'd leave it on. I would however shut down and restart the phone once a week or so. Not that it will do anything (i don't think)... but it may keep your phone healthy if there are any bugs in memory.

• My iphone doesn't charger doesn't work all the time

I've had the iPhone 4s since about 3 months after it came out. Just recently, the charger doesn't always work when I go to charge my phone. Sometimes I blow on it and sometimes I have to plug and unplug it a few times before it starts to charge. Is this problem with my phone or is it the charger itself? Someone help! ... also, this has happened with my computer charger as well and I know it's not the outlet's I use because I've been to multiple locations where this problem has occured :/

I had a similar problem, and other answers allude to the kind of solution that works. What was rather annoying for me was that, by deleting a few apps, the iTunes display suggested I should have plenty of room. Furthermore, the error message included the bizarre phrase "the required space is 1.26MB but only 126MB is available": yes, more space available than needed by a factor of 100!
What seems to be the case is that the sync does not necessarily remove everything you specify for removal before copying things on that you want on the device. Therefore, even if you have enough space for what you intend to have on your device at the end of the sync, it won't help if the space is insufficient to copy at least some things on in the first place. So I actually solved the problem by deleting one of the apps on the iPhone, which was an app I was going to remove anyway. In general (on iOS 8), go to Settings | General | Usage | Storage then choose something you are happy to be without.

• How to restore my iphone 3G when is on recovery mode all the time.

My iphone 3G is always in recovery mode showing on the screem an usb pointing into and Itunes icom. I can not unlock it. How I can restore when I am using windows 7 on my pc? As well I would like to let you know that I am not sure what kind of programs I need to download to resolve my issue. I have heard about "tinyumbrella".
I have some pictures and videos that I do not want to loose. I would appreciate any kind of help to sort out my problem.
Many thanks in advance.
Kind Regards
Joseph

1. The latest iOS version available for the iPhone 3G is 4.2.1, not 4.3.5. Do you actually have an iP3GS or was your iP3G hacked to install 4.3.5?

2. "I tried to restore it but it came up with an error." What EXACT error?
3. "i restored but some things were erased" What "things"? Did you get an error again. Were you restoring as new or using a backup?
4. Did you ever restore the phone as NEW without using a backup?

• My iphone 4 says incoming callers are unknown all the time but tells me who sends messages

When i get incoming call it says unknown caller even though they are in my contacts but when i get text messages it tells me who sent the message. what am i doing wrong

Same thing is happening on my iphone5. Even land line calls say "unknown". Some callers come-in ok, with callerid, others simply say "unknown".
I just spent 35 mins on the phone with AT&T who did lots of checks --> they say it might be the device, especially based on the land-line feedback.

• My iPhone 5 goes crazy. Help

My iphone 5 goes crazy, open and close apps, and gets things done without touching the screen.
Buy a new display and I did installed by a technician but also remains the same and I have restored it twice.
Help.

• My iPhone "thinks" its on a dock all the time. There is nothing wrong with the speakers. What is going on?

My phone will not play music through the external speakers. The headphone jack works fine, I looked into the docking port and nothing seems to be out of place. The phone is ALWAYS in a case (Otterbox then Lifeproof), has NEVER been dropped. When I downloaded iOS6 is when I noticed the problem occuring. If I go to settings > Sounds > Ringers and select a song, it plays through the speaker no problem, but if I go to, say, YouTube (or the music app), no sound unless I use headphones. I'm going to the genius bar soon but I'd like to know if its an easy fix so I dont waste time driving all the way to the apple store (closest one is about 1.5h away from me). Any info is appreciated. Thanks

Thank you for that advice, unfortunately I have already done this. I've also done all the reset/restores under the sun. I checked for water damage in case for some reason it was triggered by humidity (I have it at work all the time). No avail. At this point I'm kind of out of ideas. Thanks again though.

You cannot update iPhone 4 to IOS 8.1.2, the highest you can update is IOS 7.1.2.
Unless you've iPhone 4S (looks similar to iPhone 4)
