My Ipod touch will not synch all songs in my library - on my windows 8 laptop. Doesn't matter if the songs are checked or not - only some songs will synch to the IPOD. I have multiple devices and two accounts.

My IPOD touch will not synch all songs in my library. Library is on a windows 8 laptop. Checking the songs does not matter. I have multiple devices (ipod, IPhone 4 and 5, IPad 2) and two ITunes accounts.

All songs play on the laptop windows 8. The second Ipod touch we have - all songs synch to it and play.
But the first Ipod touch we bought - only half (or so) of the songs synch. So I assume there is an issue with the newer Ipod touch. The songs not synching are songs I added to the library from CD's.

  • One computer, one iTunes account, multiple devices and iCloud accounts, help!

We have a family MacBook and have always held a single iTunes account. We have multiple devices (iTunes Match has proved to be very useful). We have 2 x iCloud accounts. This causes an issue in terms of synchronisation. Is it possible to synch calendars and photos? As mentioned, the music is no longer an issue with iTunes match. Is there a way that we can synch calendars and photos without having to use a single iCloud account? In addition, the only reason we have separate iCloud accounts is for email. Can I keep my mobile.me email without an iCloud account?

I personally would recommend to use different iCloud account for your own stuff like email, calendars, reminders etc. If you want to have a calendar for your family then just share it via your iPhone, iPad or Mac. Yes, you could keep you me,com email address but it should be migrated to icloud because MobileMe was shut down.

  • Friend has new iPod touch but no computer - can you have multiple devices under one account number?  If so how do I do it?

I have an iPod and have an account set up already with iTunes.  My friend has brand new iPod touch but no computer.   She only wants to download CDs onto iPod but I couldn't seem to do this without being prompted to set up an account or it overriding the information for my iPod - any help would be appreciated.

  • Duplicate songs appeared on my iPod touch 5g IOS 7.1.2, after synced with a new windows laptop, some duplicates open, some dont.

Hi, i have an iPod touch 5g with IOS 7.1.2. .My iPod was synced to a previous laptop with my songs and i got a new laptop with the copied songs, i put them on iTunes 11 and synced it to my iPod and duplicates appeared in the music app on most of the songs. Some of the duplicates open and some turn grey when i play them. I have deleted all of the duplicates on iTunes, but they dont dissapear after i sync them. I cant delete the duplicates that appear grey, but i can delete the rest. Please help, i have no idea how to fix it.

Well, you could trade it in for a white one!
First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."

  • We have multiple devices on 1 account.  are we able to seperate the game center for each device?  also can we keep our contacts seperate on each device?

I am a mom of 2 minor children.  They both received Ipods for Christmas.  I have added them to my apple account.  Now the problem seems to be that everything on one is on another.  For example, my son is face timing his brothers friends and my contacts.  How can I prevent that from happening.  Also games that are on 1 device are duplicated onto other devices.  The problem is that the progress and game is duplicated.  Can we create different game centers so that the progress on 1 device is not the same as the other device?
I am familiar with the Apple devices, but my youngest really needs some restrictions set within the device....HELP

Create a NEW account/ID for then using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before. Make sure you specify a birthdate that results in being at least 13 years old
Creating an iTunes Store, App Store, iBookstore, and Mac App Store account without a credit card
Use the new ID on her iPod but only for:
    Settings>Messages>Send and Receive
    Settings>FaceTime
    Settings>GameCenter
    and Settings>iCloud
Continue to use the same/common Apple ID for Settings>iTunes and App stores so you can share purchases.

  • I have multiple devices and don't want everything shared between them. How do I fix that?

I have and iphone and three ipods in my home. They are all connected to my apple id and everything ends up being shared between them. Can I make seperate accounts for each of them, but have them all attached to my credit card? Thanks for any help!!!

If you have a Mac (don't know about Windows), you can disable automatic syncing in iTunes > Preferences > Devices:
That way, you can manually do it by plugging in the device and launching iTunes.

  • I have multiple devices and multiple Apple ID's

    Hi,
I wonder if any one can help, I am trying to get all my devices under one account however I cannot remember the other log in details for the other accounts. I was wondering whether there was a way to get this sorted so that I can then use all the devices on one account rather than others. My second issue is that I have had some one else's music on my iTunes of which I do not know how it got there as I never signed in with another account on my Mac (its happened on both iMac and MB Air). Is there a way to completely remove all other id's associated, so that it only picks up my music from my Accounts? I have been told I cannot merge two accounts together, I have memory issues and have only just remembered about the other accounts I have. if only there was a way to get all the music onto one account.
I have MB Air, iMac, iPhone 5s and iPad Mini
    Any help greatly appreciated!
    Thanks,

You can't merge accounts, nor can you transfer content between accounts - all downloads will remain tied to the account that downloaded it.
If you can't remember the ids for the other accounts then if you have any of their downloads in your Macs iTunes libraries then you should be able to get their ids from them : Recovering a forgotten iTunes Store account name
Or you can try getting your ids via http://appleid.apple.com : Apple ID: How to find your Apple ID
You can get an account's password reset via http://iforgot.apple.com
For the account that isn't yours, then I'm no aware of an easy way to remove them from your iTunes library - presumably you don't know that account's password, if you did then you could deauthorise the account which would stop your iTunes being able to play them.

  • My itunes library is on our pc and my ipod touch.  I would like to tranfer this library to my new laptop and then to my new ipod classic.

I have had an ipod touch for some time now.  A lot of my music is stored on our home pc.The music on the pc is stored in my itunes library, and also on the Touch.
I have now bought an ipod Classic 160gb.
I have also bought a new pc laptop.
I would like to transfer the music from my itunes library, which is on the Touch, to my new laptop and then onto my new Classic.

    To transfer your iTunes Library...
From your Old Computer... Copy your ENTIRE iTunes FOLDER to an External Drive... and then from the External Drive to your New Computer..
An Added Bonus is that you will then have a Backup of iTunes...
Backup iTunes to an External Drive

With regard as to what is on your Touch, you will need a 3rd Party Software... Google would be your friend...

The Nano uses different drivers than iOS devices like the iPod touch
    See
iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
    - I would start with
Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
    or
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Features app in the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components
    - New cable and different USB port

  • I have one apple ID but have multiple devices and multiple passwords. i can't seem to limit it to ONE single password.

each time i log in with my apple ID on a device it says password incorrect and i have to go through 2-step authentication to get a new password. this will work until i need to log into a different apple device with the same apple ID in which case i am told my password is incorrect and i have to create a new password. how can i make my ONE apple ID have only ONE password? thanks!

After you change your account's password you may need to log out of it on all of your devices (tap on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store) and then log back in with the new password so as to 'refresh' the account on them.

I am being charged for something I already paid for and want to know how to stop this insanity. How do I cantact apple and get the chages reversed. How do i get the inapp purchase that I already paid for into my new iPad.
    Thx

You can contact iTunes support here : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page
But not all in-app purchases can be re-downloaded for free or transferred to a different device : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4009

  • HT204074 the 90 day rule is ridiculous.  This should be seriously reconsidered for paid customers with several devices and one account.

The 90 day rule is ridiculous.  It should be seriously reconsidered for paying apple customers with one account but several devices.

If you have only one account, then the 90 day rule should be of no consequence for you.

  • Multiple users, and two ipods on one Imac g5

I have an Imac g5 with 2 gigs of ram have multiple users and two Ipods, I have looked through the discussions pages about this but still cannot make the music in my account show up in my daughters account also I cannot get her ipod to work on her account. Help me please I have tried the fast switching, and dragging from the home directory. I know it must be something that I have done wrong. I think I must need very specific directions that are more inclusive than what I have used thus far. Ipod video 30 gig is my daughters and the new Ipod shuffle 1gig is mine.

What do you mean by synchronize; music, apps, calendars, email, etc? Do you two share the same Apple ID on all devices? An Apple ID can support up to 5 computers and many iDevices.
    I hope this helps.
