It is Ideal to install Creative Cloud app , if you are using Adobe apps.
Creative Cloud is nothing but an updated version of Adobe Application manager. Adobe Application Manager is required for different purposes like Activation, Update.process and installation processes.etc
Adobe application manager must be up to date , that brings to Creative Cloud application which is the updated version .
No need to Sign in and all , just keep it install, if you are not okay with installing Creative Cloud app. it's okay , you can still have Adobe Application Manager only.

I have a MacBook pro that has power issues and will not start but the hardrive is fine.  I do not want to lose all of my files so I was wondering if it's possible to transfer my hardrive from a older Macbook pro to a new one if I were to purchase a new one?  Also, the software is not updated as the computer hasn't worked for about 2 months.
Also, if it is possible to transfer the hardrive, would my iTunes music transfer as well?  It is not saved in the cloud.
Thanks for your help, it is much appreciated.

You computer is probably perfectly repairable, but if you want a new one anyway, it is perfectly possible to transfer the data from the faulty one.
But it would be a mistake to simply put the old HD in the new computer.
    These are the steps:
Remove Hard drive from faulty computer. (very easy on Unibody MBPs, do-able but not so easy on older MBPs)
Put it in a cheap enclosure
    Connect it the new computer
    Boot up new computer.
If the new computer has never been run before the Setup Assistant will ask if you want to import your apps, data, settings etc from either another mac, another HD connected to the Mac or a Time Machine back up.
Obviously chose the second option (another HD connected to this Mac) and follow prompts.
If the new computer has already been run (so Setup Assistant doesn't run when you boot it up), you will need to use Migration Assistant...or run the installer again so that Setup Assistant runs again.

  • HT1338 my itunes will not start up, keep getting a error -200. How do I correct?

My itunes will not open, I keep getting "error -200". How can I correct this?

The quote below is from a previous thread where several people solved your same problem with the stated technique. Maybe it will work for you. Good Luck.
iTunes 7.0.2 FIX.........Have tried all 'fixes' suggested but iTunes STILL not opening
    1. Uninstall iTunes and Quicktime.
    2. Do a search in the C:\ drive for "QuickTime". Delete EVERYTHING that pops up.
    3. Restart the computer.
    4. Install QUICKTIME ONLY
    5. THEN install iTunes......and IT WORKS.....Just remember to install Quicktime FIRST.

Reinstall OS X without erasing the drive
    1. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
    2. Reinstall Snow Leopard
If the drive is OK then quit DU and return to the installer.  Proceed with reinstalling OS X.  Note that the Snow Leopard installer will not erase your drive or disturb your files.  After installing a fresh copy of OS X the installer will move your Home folder, third-party applications, support items, and network preferences into the newly installed system.
Download and install Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1.

  • OS 9 will not start, but its installed

I did a software restore on my G4 flat panel mac os 10.2.8. Now classic will not start. I dragged the system folder for mac os 9 to my hard drive, which was located on the mac os 9 install cd. I am unable to start my computer from the os 9 cd. When I open system preferences and under the classic folder it says select a system folder for classic. Under Hard drive the system folder is highlighted. However, when I start classic, i get this white box which says: The system software on the startup disk only functions on the original media, not if copied to another drive. In the background is the much larger box that always shows up when classic starts. But it doesnt start. the white box just appears and I am completely lost. I tried to install os 9, but it says it is already installed and the white box appears again. Please help.

    Medina,
6 CDs is exactly right, these are your restore discs. You should be able to insert the first one and run the restore program. If I could find my copies of the 6 CD's from my old iMacG4 (now given away) I could tell you exactly where to look, but it's can't see the wood for the trees here.
Always the last place you look. And now I see what you mean. And this now explains everything.
I think that the 6 CDs you have are exactly the same as mine, that is they are for a first generation FP iMac. For this iMac you had to boot of the first CD (into OS9 - despite what I assumed earlier). This would explain the presence of an OS9 System Folder on the restore CDs.
Now if you cannot boot from the first CD, it would suggest that these CDs did not come with your iMac. I'd be a bit perplexed as to how you managed to restore OSX 10.2 (in your first post) and now you're up to OSX 10.3.
None of this matters though. With a bit of copying you should be able to get a usable OS9 system folder onto your iMac. You'll need about 5G of free disk space.
On each CD is a Configurations folder. In there is a disk image "iMac HD Disc #", where # is from 1 to 6. You should copy each of these to your iMac internal hard disk, in a folder all of their own. Then mount the first disk image, all the rest should be used as required and you'll end up with an original iMac mounted disk image. You can then copy the System Folder from that to your internal hard disk. Then unmount the disk image and trash the 6 disk image files.
If you need more detailed instructions, let us know.

  • Ipod will not restore but it syncs

Dragged my old 2nd gen 8gb Touch out... Software is 2.2.1 (5H11A). Manufactured 2009. It will sync and xfer music, vids, etc. but will not "Update" to new software (which iTunes says is available for it), nor will it restore. I just get a (-1) error message. I just restored my other Touch (1st Gen which already had current software) and that went fine. I even went in and deleted all backups just in case. Anyone have a clue?

Put the hold switch to the OFF/White position. Now toggle it ON/orange then back off again. Then press and hold both the MENU and center buttons on the iPod and hold them for a good 10 seconds or so. Your iPod should reboot starting with the Apple Logo screen.
If it doesn't work the first time, give it a second or third go. Sometimes it takes a few tries.

  • My ipod will not start up.

A few days ago, I was using my ipod in my car as i've always done. I changed albums and after a few seconds of no sound, I noticed that my ipod was just skipping each track of the album without playing. I hit pause, the ipod froze up. I reset it and was greeted with a folder icon with a triangle next to it that has an exclamation point inside. I can only assume this means a file is corrupted.
I tried connecting my ipod to my ibook, but that symbol will not go away nor does my ipod show up on my ibook.
Please help. I'm hoping my ipod isn't dead!
    Ibook G4   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

    Neil,
Same thing on my 4G iPod. It was in the car and started skipping songs. I reset mine and all of the music went away. I tried to restore the iPod but my computer would not recognize it. I tried using disk utility and it could not see it either. I would try all of the tricks on apple's website like connecting it in disk mode use, trying to reset, plugging it into a wall, and anything else you can find. Mine was under warranty so I sent it back to apple. They replaced it with a non functioning iPod. I am sending it back as well.

  • Lightroom 5 will not start but shows as running in task manager?

    Hi,
I'm using Lightroom 5.7 (64 bit) on a Win7 machine and it was working perfectly until a few days ago. Now for reasons unknown to me, it will now not start correctly. According to Task Manager it is running but nothing appears on screen. It shows as a running process using about 15,020k. If I try and end the process it will not stop until I have tried 4 or 5 times.
I have tried renaming the preview file to force it to build a new file, and optimizing the data base and it ran once, said it was checking the catalog, and then reverted to the same behaviour.
If I can get it started I can revert to a backup database.
    Help appreciated.
    Peter

    Thanks for the input.
Turns out Lightroom not guilty.  The hard drive containing the catalogue was failing and although tests seemed to show it as OK it was actually only reading / writing at a fraction of the correct speed. So Lightroom was taking a long time to read it's own catalogue.  It tooks 48 hours to copy 1 gig of data off the disk.

  • Ipod will not start, slider says "configuring" in multiple languages

I went for a run last night with my ipod inside my sports bra.  It was slightly damp when I finished but I have done this many times before without an issue as it is in a rubber cover.  it played music for about 45 mins after and then I switched it off.  It was fully powered before my run and so should have had power this morning.  But it did not.  When I got no joy pressing the on button I plugged it in and when it had taken some charge I got a screen which is grey and just says "ipod" on it and the slider bar has "configuring" (I think) in many languages scrolling through it.  I have tried to restart and alhtough when I press the button I get the red off slider the screen is unresponsive.  The language thing has been going on for 10 hours now.  The ipod has taken charge and shows fully charged but will not move from the initial screen as described above.  Anyone have any ideas on how to get my music back? (I'm in Afghanistan and it's pretty miserable out here without tunes, take pity please) would be very grateful for any help available.  thanks

I would dry it out by placing the iPod in a sealed container of uncooked rice fro a couble of days.
    Then try:
    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Now my Ipod will begin the boot up showing the apple symbol but then completely shut down before anything else can happen... PLEASE HELP!!!!... Also i have already attempted to reset it many times holding the Menu and Select Buttons and its been connected to the charger for hours...

  • IPod will not start, charge or respond to computer or anything

All of a sudden, my iPod stopped working. it will not respond when i attach it to my computer, it will not respond to the charger - anything.
Any ideas to make this iPod not worthless?
    Thanks

    Have you tried a Reset?
    1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
    2. Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 10 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.
Tip: If you are having difficulty resetting your iPod, set it on a flat surface. Make sure the finger pressing the Select button is not touching any part of the click wheel. Also make sure that you are pressing the Menu button toward the outside of the click wheel, and not near the center.
If the above steps did not work, try connecting iPod to a power adapter and plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet, or connect iPod to your computer. Make sure the computer is turned on and isn't set to go to sleep.
