My iWeb can't find directory/path at GoDaddy

I can't make a test connection via the FTP on iWeb's publish page. Keeps saying "the directory/path couldn't be found. Verify your settings and try again."
I've searched the forum here and called GoDaddy for help. The tech there told me that I'm making a connection but my software can't find the "root folder" at my domain.
Help?????

I'm gonna answer my own question/problem in case anyone else encounters the same.
Instead of publishing to FTP service, I published to a folder on my computer. Then I was able to manually upload the files, like I'd been doing in the past, using the GoDaddy FTP service. Mission accomplished.

  • Can't set directory path in a JTextField

    I've tried to set some directory paths in a JTextField, but nothing displayed in that the JTextField. However, i can print the directory paths one at a time to the console. The following is the code and will explain what I am trying to do:
    fileDialog.showOpenDialog(this);
    File[] classpath = fileDialog.getSelectedFiles();
    if(classpath.length == 0)
    return;
    String cp = "";
    for(int i = 0; i<classpath.length; i++){
    //System.out.println(classpath.getPath());
    cp.concat(classpath[i].getAbsolutePath());
    System.out.println(cp);
    jTextField_cp.setText(cp);
    if I uncomment the first print statement,each path will be shown on a new line in the console. But when I want to print the pathes of the directories in one time( concatenate them first), there's no output at all (the second print statement), I only got some empty new lines in the console. Is it any problems with the use of "cp.concat()" method?

    I'm pretty sure that it'll work if you replace your concat line with this.
    cp = cp.concat(classpath.getAbsolutePath());Java strings are passed by the value of their references, so you are only manipulating the value of the reference, the the string itself, unlike other objects. To work around that, assign cp the new string returned from the concat method.

  • How do I complete uninstalling itunes? when I try installing i get an error message saying it can't find the path ,itunes64.msi missing.

    How do I complete uninstalling itunes? when I try installing i get an error message saying it can't find the path ,itunes64.msi missing

    For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
    The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it, which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
    Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
    The section Install missing components has advice on breaking down the iTunes installer into the individual .msi files which might prove useful if one component won't install normally.

  • IWeb can't find previous pages after transfer/reinstall

    I recently got a "new" (read: my husband's previous) MacBook Pro and lost some of my files/folders due to a problem during the transfer.  I had to reinstall iWeb and now it won't find the pages I had created and published previously with it.  The pages are in their own folder (SuzWebPages) as I had to manually restore them instead of letting the computer copy everything over.  When I open iWeb, it can't find the pages.  I have looked through other help topics on this and tried moving the SuzWebPages folder to the iWeb folder in Home Folder/Library/Application Support/iWeb and renaming it to a .sites2 file, but iWeb still doesn't see the folder/site/pages and opens with the choose a new page screen.  When I right-click and choose Open With on the actual pages, iWeb is grayed out.
    I went from Yosemite 10.10.1 to the same version.  I had to reinstall many programs which did not transfer or were corrupted, such as MS Word, Safari, and Mail, but all were able to find my previous files although none retained my information.
    Any suggestions?  I can provide any further information needed.
    Thanks in advance,
    Suz

    The file/package you need to have for use with iWeb is called Domain.sites2.  The folder containing your published webpages is of no use with iWeb.
    If you still have your old Mac go to your Home/Library/Applications Support folder and look for the iWeb folder. It will have the domain file you need.  Copy the iWeb folder to the same location on your new Mac and launch iWeb.
    Otherwise you'll have to rebuild your webpage from scratch.  If you have to do that I suggest you switch over to a new web development application as iWeb has been discontinued for about 2 years.
    One app that many have migrated to because it is so like iWeb in its user interface and how it works (but with many more features) is EverWeb.  There's a 30 day demo version that you can try to see if you like it.  To recreate your website with it you can copy text and photos from your existing site and paste into the EverWeb version.
    For other potential iWeb replacement apps search the iWeb forum for "iWeb alternative" or "iWeb replacement".

  • I can't find the path in SPRO for a configuration table

    Dear all,
    I am currently doing some configuration in SPRO and I need to document it in an Excel file.
    My configuation is for Plant Maintenance (PM) and I need some help finding the path through SPRO in which I can find the table T370FLD_STN.
    I have already tried the simple stuff like:
    Control+F and tried to find the name of the table - No Results
    I also went through  SE16N and clicked F1 and then in the key symbol - No results.
    I really need help FINDING THE PATH IN SPRO. That's my goal.
    Thanks to you all,
    Manuel

    Hello
    I have just tested on my system and I got the following SPRO path:
    - Plant Maintenance and Customer Service
    - Master Data in Plant Maintenance and Customer Service
    - Technical Objects
    - Settings for Fleet Management
    - Consumption-Relevant Counter Reading Update
    - Create Gas Station
    I can't tell why this procedure did not work on your system. Did you receive a popup to select the customizing project when you clicked the customizing button? I got a popup and I choose the option "continue w/o specifying a project".

  • Where can I find the path to a document in the Output File Repository.

    Hello All
    I'm somewhat confused......
    Previously, in XI R2 it was possible to see the physical Output File Repository path for an instance. For example:
    frs://Output/a_123/012/34/5678/abcd.wid
    This information was available through the CMC by selecting the instance and viewing its Properties.
    Can anyone tell me where this information can be viewed in XI3.1. I have checked through the CMC and cannot find it anywhere. When I look at the Instance Details of a particular instance, I do not see this information.
    Thanks in advance.
    J

    My environment is XI3.1
    Thank you to the previous poster but this only tells me the path the Output Repository (which I already know).
    Sorry, I think maybe my question was not very clear.
    I want to know how I can identify the physical path to a specific instance in the Output File Repository. For example:
    frs://Output/a_123/456/7890/abcde.wid
    In XI R2 it was easy to obtain this information by taking the following steps:
    1. CMC
    2. Objects
    3. Search for and select the required object that has the required instance
    4. Select the History tab to see the list of instances
    5. Check the box against the required instance
    6. Click on the Status of the instance to view the Instance Details.
    Now, in XI3.1 (either InfoView, CMC or Instance Manager) the Instance details does NOT show the physical path to the .WID/.XLS/.PDF or whatever the format of the instance be.
    Please can someone tell me where I can find this information.
    Thank you.

  • Disk Warrior can't find directory

    I don't know if this goes here or elsewhere but I had some problems, did archive and install, and now Disk Warrior can't find the directory. I recently began using Time Machine (forgot I had it) and my instinct is to erase the disk and use Time Machine to restore the data but I'm afraid to do anything until I know it"s the right thing to do.

    Use your restore disc, choose English as your language, then go to Utilities in the Menu Bar and select Restore. Make sure that your Time Machine is mounted and then choose which point in time you want to restore from
    You should be back in business shortly.

    The Directory Server 6 Evaluation Kit has not been posted to the Big Admin web site yet.
    I don't have an estimated date for its availability. It is almost there but the couple of field engineers who have been producing it have limited time to work on it for the moment.

  • Can't find the path of V/76 - Reason?

    There exists a command of V/76 . The transaction code is for "Display View 'Materials: Product Hierarchies': Overview" . With the help of the binocular find button, I look for the menu path of the code (by writing the transaction code in the search area) but it gives out no result in the menu tree. The transaction code works but I can't find it in the menu tree. Could anyone explain me this / the reason?
    Thanx in advance for the answers.

    Hi Hikmet,
    This T-Code is not available in SAP Easy Access Screen. It is available in SPRO under

  • Help! iweb can't find my site/files

    Help!
    I've been using iweb for 8 years. LOVE it. I've even successfully been using iweb seo. But yesterday went to make some changes to my site and opened Iweb and my site is gone. Usually it loads in all the pages on the left column all neat and pretty. But it looks like it's the first time i've ever opened the program. it's asking me which template i'd like to use.:(  Plus i had a bunch of after market iweb templates loaded in too for options and those aren't there either.
    some background...Last week i tried to clean up my desktop and dumped everything into one desktop folder. I thought that might be the problem so i pulled everything out of the folder today, including the domain sites file  and the website folder. And it still can't find the site.  Any help would be greatly appreciated and keep me from jumping out the window!
    I've never had this happen before even with switching to 2 different computers over the years. its like it dumped it's entire memory.
    I have an IMAC 21.5" 2009 intel core processor
    running Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5
    Thank you in advance for the help!

    If you are using Time Machine to backup your files give this a try:
    1 -  download  Find Any File.
    2 - launch FAF and search your Time Machine hard drive for "Domain.sites2".  It wil take a while due to the nature of the backup structure.  The search results will look like this:
    3 - locate the latest backup from before the problem occurred and drag it out of the scarch window to the Desktop.
    4 - open the domain file with iWeb as described below:
    To open your domain file in Lion or Mountain Lion or to switch between multiple domain files Cyclosaurus has provided us with the following script that you can make into an Applescript application with Script Editor. Open Script Editor, copy and paste the script below into Script Editor's window and save as an application.
    do shell script "/usr/bin/defaults write com.apple.iWeb iWebDefaultsDocumentPath -boolean no"delay 1
    tell application "iWeb" to activate
    You can download an already compiled version with this link: iWeb Switch Domain.
    Just launch the application, find and select the domain file in your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder that you want to open and it will open with iWeb. It modifies the iWeb preference file each time it's launched so one can switch between domain files.
    WARNING: iWeb Switch Domain will overwrite an existing Domain.sites2 file if you select to create a new domain in the same folder.  So rename your domain files once they've been created to something other than the default name.

  • Acer aspire zs600 recovery error; "restore failed - can not find image path"

    Recently the hard drive in my Acer Aspire ZS600 failed. I purchased a new hard drive and the recovery media disks from Acer's website. However after installing the new drive and running the recovery disks, the third and final disk ejects with the error message "Restore Failed - Can not fine image path: M:\RecoveryImage\install.wim" I have searched these forums as well as the farthest reaches my googling skills will allow and I have not found a solution that works. I am fairly certain it is not an issue with my hard drive, optical disk drive or the recovery media itself. Any insight on this issue will be greatly appreciated.

    i presume that your new HDD was completly clean, you didn't format or create partition prior to use the Acer erecovery medias. in a past thread there was a similar issue and Acer-Justin found the solution, i sent him a PM.
