I have ALL the exact same symptoms as on my home computer.
It sure sounds to me like something on the iPod is broken. If it's under warranty then I would send it back for repair. If not, check out some of the web repair services, such as iPodResQ etc.

Sounds like your iPhone was hacked/modified/jailbroken to work
with wireless carrier other than the one it was purchased from. The
update has relocked it to the original carrier. Contact the original
carrier to see if they offer unlocking and if you qualify - only the
carrier to which the iPhone is locked can unlock it.
What does it say when you look at Settings=>General=>Carrier?
Be advised that the previous modifications to change from original carrier
to your local Carrier may have rendered the software unable to be updated or
officially unlocked.

Ok I think it's a problem with my router. I went to my cousin's house and the Wi-Fi worked there perfectly. I was even able to download many apps. So I guess my router probably can't take in more connections. Oh well thanks anyway.

The shuffle icon in iTunes disappears, after you click on the icon in iTunes? If so, if you do not click on the shuffle icon in iTunes, does it remain there indefinitely? Are you looking at the shuffle icon in the iTunes sidebar?

I have an HP Laptop. It has a fingerprint scanner for sign in and passwords. I just updated to the newest version of firefox, and my fingerprint scanner won't come up on websites.

I am running an HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC, Windows 7 Home Premium, with an HP SimplePass for security and password storage. With the previous Firefox, when I would open a website that had sign in and password information, the fingerprint icon would come up in the top left hand side, and I could swipe my finger and it automatically entered the information. I have a Macbook and as usual, I was notified of a Firefox update, which I accepted. Since uploading the new version, when I type a search into the usual box and click enter or on search button, nothing happens at all. This is very annoying! I would appreciate any help.

I just went to the Help>Troubleshooting Information>Open Containing Folder>Organize>Select All then deleted everything. When I reopened Firefox my homepage asked for my password, the option for Firefox to remember, I clicked remember and now it is working.

Firefox doesn't do email, it's strictly a web browser.
If you are using Firefox to access your mail, you are using "web-mail". You need to seek support from your service provider or a forum for that service.

Previously when I was updating my iPod touch to the latest version of IOS I made the mistake of not backing it up before, and lost all my music, books, and apps I had on there, etc. I didn't want to make that same mistake with my iPad, but like I said previously; it's not even letting me back it up, therefore I'm not going to update yet so I don't lose all my data, but if I don't update I can't update a lot of apps on my iPad, and such and overall my iPad just won't be as functional until I update it. There are a couple of things that you can try.
1. Quit iTunes, restart or reboot your iPad, restart your computer and then try again.
2. Delete any old backups that you have in iTunes and then try again.
Try no. 1 and see what happens.

A SIM card needs to be in the phone to activate the phone. I'm sure you can ask your carrier for a used, deactivated SIM, and if not, find one elsewhere for very cheap.
Also note that the original iPhone cannot run any version later than iOS 3.1.3.

If images are missing then check that you aren't blocking images from some domains.

I Can't access the iTunes music store after updating to the newest version of iTunes

I know this sounds like a newbie question, but I have been using iTunes for over five years now. I recently updated to the newest version of iTunes (10.5 I think) and ever since that I have not been able to access the iTunes store. It has been over a week now and I am really confused. The status bar will just freeze and then it will disappear when I click to go on the store. I have tried reinstalling iTunes and that hasn't worked. Not sure what to do. Thanks for any suggestions.

I've got the same problem, and have reinstalled my entire system and haven't installed any Anti Virus or Spyware programs yet, and still can't get into the stores.
When I wrote last week to tech support they couldn't help me via email, and to me that I might need to go to the fee based support to get this resolved.
