My mac mini has been having some problems. Someone suggested it was the application Mackeeper that I have on it to help clean up junk files. Anyone have any evidence this might be true?
I want to know if Mackeeper app could be causing my computer problems?

It could, but then you haven't mentioned what those problems are.

My MacBook pro has been having Internet problems after logic board was replaced
I have an early 2008 15.4 inch 2.4 ghz MacBook Pro and just had the logic board replaced because it died on me. Ever since I got my MacBook back I've been having problems with my Internet (wifi). My connection seems to be good I get the full bars but sometimes when I'm browsing it'll take forever to load. The ball just keeps spinning and I have to keep trying to refresh and nothing will load. Other times my Internet works perfectly fine. I don't get an error message about not being connected to the Internet..and I don't think it's a memory issue. Could my logic board replacement somehow be related to my Internet issue?
Anybody ever have this problem?I would call the facility where your mac was repaired and let them know a new issue that was not present before the logic board replacement is occuring.

Hi
I am facing some problem mouse arrow with out my actions it's automatically running for example If I open a some site the arrow mark is going every where and automatically pressing and the particular sites are opening if u don't mind can u suggest me what I have doIf you can still access the machine and haven't wiped the drive, open the Mac App Store, log in to your Apple ID, and try to download Mavericks from there. If it works, make a bootable USB from the
Mavericks installer (google how to do this). Then boot to the USB wipe the drive and install Mavericks clean. And since it shoudl be associated with your Apple ID at that point you shouldn't have any issues. -
Flashing folder icon after Mac mini has been sitting for a few hours
I leave my Mac mini running at time when I leave the office to let it install an update or just cause I forget to close it all down. When I come in the next morning, I have a flashing folder icon waiting for me.
Every single post on the forums talk about this issue at startup. This isn't the case for me; It didn't get shut down. A simple reboot solves it but still an annoying occurrence.

I've been having a problem with auto-fill in the email on my ipod touch.
I have updated to new email addresses, or accidnetly typed in the wrong on, and now the email addresses won't go away, even though they're not in my contacts. So when i said for instance i want to send a message to [email protected] and it just changed to [email protected], the [email protected] keeps popping up even though i dont need it anymore and it has been removed from my contacts. I have also looked on the internet if any other people have had problems, and they all have had iOS4, and all of them have the same problems except for some, the copybot.com worked, but as well a couple said it did not. I really hope apple updates the software once again and removes the autofill from all email addresses.I have updated the iOS5.1 software, i have the 4th generation ipod touch, and yes i've tried to copybot.com and selected each previous sent email address one by one and restored it, but nothing changed and it wasn't fixed. I have also went into the settings and went to change the auto-correction tab, but that as well didn't work. I dont know if im the only one with this problem, but cant you please help:/ It really is a bother. Thanks(:
I know of no solution except for restorng the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod. Have you made a suggstion to Apple to all resetting email autofill?

My Mac Mini takes forever to load programs now. After loading Mavericks it seems like I am back in PC World again!! My biggest concern is ALL of my iMovie projects seem to have vanished. I do not have sound on some web sites like YouTube. I lost the option to mirror from the Mac to the TV but I was able to solve that. Any suggestions on recovery of files? I do not use TimeMachine and did not back up anything before the Mavericks installation. I know...that's bad. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

<Subject Edited by Host>Did you buy AppleCare?
I guess not or you wouldn't be complaining.

Easy, open it up, remove the drive and use a SATA to USB adapter to another Mac (or Windows PC with MacDrive)
My computer is dead, is my personal data lost?
For iPhoto Library, that's really a folder (it looks like a package) it can be right clicked on by OS x and "show package contents" to get the Origianls out.
However I don't know right off hand how that would appear on a Windows PC, perhaps as a iPhoto Library folder, perhaps not.
But the files are on the drive, and Data Rescue (Windows) can always be used to grab them directly.
iTunes Library can be transfered to a PC, as long as the account name is the same, it should work fine and maintain your playlists hopefully, but the music is easily accessible. -

1) Please use the code tags when posting code or JNLP/HTML. It helps to retain indentation and avoids asterisks and plus sings being interpreted as formatting marks. To do that, select the code/JNLP etc. and click the CODE button seen on the Plain Text tab of the message posting form.
2) That launch file is invalid. You might check it (and the project in general) using JaNeLA.
3) The only place that SimpleSerial class could be, that the JRE would find, is in the root of aeon.jar. Is it actually there? -
Computer iMac7,1 has been giving sundry problems for sometime. Within the last six weeks I have reinstalled the OS (Snow Leopard),without affecting the overall contents of the hard drive.
±3 weeks later the problems became more serious and I againreinstalled the OS and installed OS 6.6.7 from the internet.
I used the option to restore from the external backup driveand went back some time as it was my intention to reinstall individualcomponent in an attempt to find out where the problem might lie. This hasintroduced an entirely new problem! If I open Time Machine from the desktop itappears that all backups from late 2009 to June 2011 are intact. But, in thiscase there are none of the restore functions &c on screen. The latter areonly shown if Time Machine is opened from the menu bar or from the dock but, inthis case, available are only backups in late 2009!
I also opened the Apple Hardware Test in an attempt toestablish the nature of the problem. The ‘quick’ version said there’s nothingwrong; the more detailed one reported “Error detected, 4HD/11/40000004.” I haveagain tried to employ this test but nothing I do can induce it to open!!!
What to do? I need help urgently and would appreciate anyadvice that offers solutions to the problem. To check your S.M.A.R.T status open disk utility and click on your drive and then click on the info icon.

Message was edited by: jamie8286Hi Jamie, It sounds like the directory is corrupted or your HD is going bad.
Did you check the system profiler and see if the S.M.A.R.T passed. Do you have TechTool or Disk Warrior? There are some programs out there that will allow you extract information from a dieing drive.
The flashing question mark is telling you that it cannot find a functional operating system. And disk utility will only repair drives with a bootable OS.
I know you said you did but, did you boot _from the install disc_ and run disc repair?
I'll see what software for recovery there is for free..... -
Having some problems with apps froms the app store
Hello. Since I got my iTouch I've been having some problems with some apps. Some work perfectly fine, but some others are just crashing after a few seconds. I've tried everything I found, but it seems like my problem is different from the one related by lots of others iPod users. Here's a video a friend of mine who's having the same problems I am did showing it:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MI-gBhP_cgU
It's really annoying us. Does anyone know how to fix it? Does it look like a firmware problem? Thanks in advance.Have youy tried:
- Reset:
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- iOS: Troubleshooting applications purchased from the App Store
- Restoring the iPod from backup
- Restoring the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod. -
My Iphone has been having messaging problems since i got the 7.0.1 update is there a way i can fix this
DavidBenJeshuah wrote:
apple wont give me a new phone cause I broke the screen and I replaced it my self.
Correct. When you did that, you voided all warranty/support, & forfeited the right to an out of warranty replacement.
There was nothing wrong with the screen I bought,
And, exactly, how do you know that? Since Apple DOES NOT sell iPhone parts, there is no official source for genuine parts. Thus, many on the market are counterfeit & produce nothing but problems.
Good luck. -
I have Purchased a song through iTunes which cost is 15 Rs.But the bank has debited 95rs from my account .Let me know the reason behind that?
We are itunes users just like you. We would have no idea why.
Contact itunes support and ask them. -
Is anyone having problems with the battery heating up and draining the power? Mine has been doing this for about 2 months now.
This is a major problem with Lollipop, but yo said it started 2 months ago. Several people have fixed problem by removing FaceBook And Face book messenger and then re loading the apps again. You might want to clear your cache before reloading. Not sure this is your problem, but worth a try. Good Luck

My wife has been having problems with Safari, and many third party software and malware programs infecting her Mac Book Pro. I have tried to reset Safari but it keeps coming back, taking over Safari, changing defaults, start pages, and search engines, Etc.
Is it safe to use programs like MacKeeper, who keeps send my wife's computer message and alerts, or should I just wipe the drive and start over?
