My MacMail- Preferences- Fonts and Colors  is stuck on Lucida Grande 16, gives  no choice of other font sizes to select

My MacMail-> Preferences->Fonts and Colors->Message list font  is stuck on Lucida Grande 16, gives  no choice of other fonts and especially  sizes to select.  Similarly Message font and Fixed-width font boxes are frozen..   Turning Mail off/on does not help.  What else to try?  Or fix!
frankfromusa

Frank, this menu should allow you to change the default font, also try starting a message, selecting everything you have typed and then in the new mail header go to the A [show format bar]. You can change the fonts for the mail you are working on this way but it does not reset the default font.

  • Can I change iTunes & iPod display font (not font size) for selected files only?

    I loaded a Russian classical music CD into iTunes and iPod. On the original CD, titles, names etc. are written in cyrillic alphabet.  Once I loaded the CD into iTunes and on iPod this info was displayed unreadably in western alphabet.  Example:  "Èæå õåðóâèìû..." (Í. Ãîëîâàíîâ)Õîð È.
    I have cyrillic font on my Windows 7 computer.  Can I change the display font--for only these selected iTunes music files--to the cyrillic font?  Thanks!

    Does any one know how you can adjust the font size (point size) for the file
    names.
    Sadly enough you can't chance that, feel free to add a feature request for
    that, the more there ask for the bigger chance it will be realized.
    It would be great if the colors for the image name (background and font color)
    could be changed so the contrast could also be increased so it is also easier
    to read.
    And this the cheerful part, go to Bridge preferences General tap and play
    with the sliders for user interface and Image Backdrop until your satisfied.
    BTW using the slider for thumbnail size bottom right of the Bridge window to
    increase the thumbs does not increase the font but makes it nevertheless a
    little clearer.

  • How can I modify font size in selected text, using CS6 of Dreamweaver please?

    For some unknown reason, I see that coding on some of my pages has the unwelcome <SMALL> or </SMALL> tags present in some places.   Here's an example of what I'm talking about:
    </SMALL></B></FONT><B><SMALL>para nuestros foros</SMALL></B></FONT></TD>
    I sometimes manually delete each such presence that I see, but it's tedious to do so.   Nevertheless I don't see a feature on Dreamweaver CS6 that enables me to change selections', as opposed to entire pages', fonts and their corresponding sizes.    Perhaps Dreamweaver's Modify feature has the desired option tucked away in there somewhere, but I haven't seen it.   Any thoughts, please?

    The code you are showing is all old deprecated stuff. DWCS6 would not write that. Is this old code that you are trying to update?
    </SMALL></B></FONT><B><SMALL>para nuestros foros</SMALL></B></FONT></TD>
    The <font></font>, <small></small> tags have been replaced by styling with css.
    So your code might look like:
    <td>para nuestros foros</td>
    and the css (which goes in the <head></head> section of your page OR a linked css stylesheet) looks like:
    <style>
    td {
    font-size: 12px;
    font-weight: bold;
    color: #ccc;
    </style>
    If you just want to target a specific piece of text in a <td> table cell you can do this:
    <td><span>para nuestros foros</span></td>
    <style>
    td span {
    font-size: 16px;
    font-weight: bold;
    color: #000;
    </style>
    Sounds to me like you need to read up on styling elements with css.

  • ColorSync and color profile stuck in sepia tone!

    This is a detailed post explaining my problem and everything I've tried. Please help me!
    My 1-year-old likes to jam on the keyboard of my iMac G4 (he's a regular mac lover, he is), and as such sometimes messes things up. I never thought he could do any damage to the OS that I couldn't fix, and I have the restore set. Now he's messed it up and I DON'T have the restore set.
    Model: iMac G4 800mhz w/ upgraded memory and OS X 10.4.7.
    Basically my screen is displaying in nothing but sepia tones. The desktop environment, applications, video, 3D apps...everything. Here is the list of things I attempted that have not worked thus far:
    1. Tried changing the filters settings in ColorSync Utility. No filters were set.
    2. Tried changing color profiles in Displays, only made slight changes to the same sepia tones (contrast and whatnot)
    3. Used First Aid to Verify and Repair my profiles. No problems detected. Still sepia.
    4. Tried to create a Calibrated Generic RGB profile without using Expert Mode, to no avail.
    I have no idea how to tweak individual RGB settings, especially with no plain RGB shades to work with. Please explain this to me as if I were a 3rd grader...I know that if my baby was able to change this in a few seconds, it's got to be something really simple or else he's an evil mastermind. I'm just missing it somewhere. Help me!

    Check System Preferences>Universal Access>Seeing to see if any options are turned on that shouldn't be. Some of them can be easily turned on with keyboard shortcuts.

  • I have an iPad with IMAP email accounts set up but I can find no "inbox, drafts, trash" folders anywhere, either on my ipad or desktop Mac.  How can I set them up?  They do not show on my MacMail preferences either and I can find no way to add them.

    I have an iPad with IMAP email accounts set up but can find no "inbox, drafts, trash" folders for each email account anywhere on my iPad or in Mac Mail.   How can I set them up? I can't find anyway to set them up anywhere.  Thanks

    Hello blu monkey,
    I found some resources that I think might help with the visibility of your IMAP email folders on your iPad and Mac.
    On your iPad, you may need to follow the steps in this article to make sure your folders are visible:
    iOS: If IMAP Mail folders are not visible
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1393
    On your Mac, I am not sure if you have the sidebar enabled, but you can enable it using the steps in the article below.  When this is showing, you should see your email account listed near the bottom with a triangle next to it.  When the triangle is pointing down, it should show your folders:
    Mail (Mountain Lion): Show or hide the sidebar

    Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Best,
    Sheila M.

  • Setting A Font Size

    I have set the font to size 10, however, every time I enter the default size 14 takes over. Any solution?

    Since setting the font size is pretty straight forward, my guess is that your problem is that you are not using Styles properly and are restarting text outside your formatted text.
    1. Set your text style which includes font size by selecting the text:
    Format > Font > choose the Family and weight > Size
    If this was Body style click on Update next to Body and that will now be your Body style.
    You can apply this anywhere by selecting the font and choosing Body from the styles list.
    2. Styling applies until you either change it or add in some different text by say copying and pasting it from somewhere else.
    3. Possibly you are clicking in a blank unstyled text area after where you have your styling.
    4. Style is a part of text, which can vary throughout a document or it would be all boringly the same.
    5. Possibly you are actually asking about having a default font size/style. You set this up in a document the way you like it and then save this as a Template file then:
    Menu > Preferences > Pages > Prefernces > General > For New Documents: > Use template > Change Template > Browse to the one you want

  • Aperture font sizes

    Is there any way to increase the application (Menu, Library, etc) font sizes? I didn't see any options in Aperture->Preferences.

    Font sizes cannot be changed but you can zoom the entire computer screen. Open System Preferences and choose the Universal Access preference which should open to the Seeing section. There's a bunch of controls there for zooming the screen. One of them is hold down the control key while using the scroll wheel/ball/surface on the mouse to zoom in.

  • Need to increase the font size of SAP printer

    Hi all,
    We had some new HP printers HP4015 which needs to print from SAP . we created the new device type ZHPLJCM1 after checking correct device type for it from HP printer site. For some users printouts are coming in small fonts ,they wanted it to print in big fonts .
    These are some of the  t codes  that they use KAH3 , FB03 , Y_DEV_39000067.
    we tried to change the printer fonts in SE73 of that particular device type and increased the font size , but that also ended in vain.
    Kindly suggest possible ways by which we can solve this issue.
    Please let me know if more information are needed.

    Hi,
    Is this ABAP lists, sapcript or smartforms? For sapscript or smartforms, you need to specify the font size in the paragraph/character formats for sapscript and in the smartstyle for smartforms.
    For ABAP lists, the font size is selected based on the format used. e.g. If you create a list with format X_65_255, it should print in landscape and the font size is calculated based on the size needed to fit 255 characters into a page. If the format is X_65_132, then the font size is calculated based on the size needed to fit 132 characters into a page so it is a bit larger.

  • Received email font size

    When I receive emails, the font size is very small. How do I increase the size of the type for my received emails?
    Thanks.

    cjm57, you can make the text bigger by using the "Increase font size for selected message" button in the Toolbar. Likewise, you can make the text smaller by using the "Decrease font size for selected message" button. If the buttons aren't in your Mail Toolbar, go to the View menu and then "Customize Toolbar..." then click and drag the "Smaller/Bigger" button to a location in your Mail Toolbar. Click the Done button and you should be able to use the buttons in the future.

  • Font size of comments in word 2010

    I just opened the doc i have been editing and for some reason all the comment boxes have reduced font size (like 0.5). I cant really read any of them anymore and i have hundreds of them. Maybe it is because i was editting it in a mac version of MS Word yesterday.
    Either way:
    I cant seem to find a way to change the font sizes - can anyone tell me how to do it please?

    I am having the same problem, and it is relatively recent.
    I teach online courses, and the students submit files as Word documents, and I add comments to the document to be returned to them.
    Until recently, I could resize the font in the comment balloons (and even change the style so that the change would apply automatically to all balloons in the document, new and existing). The default 10pt was readable, but I found that it was easier to use
    11 or 12, using the font sizes the student had chosen to use in the document body.
    Starting a few days ago, I can NOT make the font appear in anything other a tiny font that is definitely smaller than the 10-point font. I go through the motions--changing the font size to selected text (all text in the balloon or even one specific word),
    and while the Font settings show that I have changed the size, it is not visibly larger. Even changing the style setting for Comment Text has no effect on anything visible.
    I can zoom the document to make it bigger, but then I can't see both the text in the document and my comments without scrolling back and forth.
    I have tried saving the files as Word 2010 files prior to adding comments, but it doesn't affect the performance at all. Thinking that it might have something to do with the original template used to create the document, I just created a new blank document
    in Word 2010 on my own computer, then added a comment balloon to that. While it does appear in the Comment Text style I created for my own computer (using 11-point instead of 10-point), I cannot make the text change size visibly.
    KW
    Addendum: Further experimentation shows that I can apply a different style to the text inside comment balloons, and that I can change the font size if the default Comment Text style is not used in the comment balloons. I am using the Balloon
    Text style as a workaround until problems are resolved with the Comment Text style.

  • How do I save a font and it's size and color in a text box as a default

    I am using Adobe Acrobat XI for Mac and can't figure out how to set a default font for text boxes. I don't seem to be able to access the properties to set the default by highlighting a properly formatted text box and pressing ctrl-e. Is there another key combination for Mac? Or another method for setting defaults? I'm finding I have to set the font, size and color every time I open a new Acrobat doc and want to add a text box. Also, the choices are not even saving with the document. The fonts already typed save correctly, but on reopening, I have to reset if I want to add more text.
    Thanks in advance for any help,
    Tom Carlson

    Thanks for the suggestions. I've got a Logitech G700S Mouse with a right click button, so right-clicking isn't an issue. Unfortunately, the I can't seem to find the menu to "Use Current Properties as New Defaults." I may not have described the problem correctly.
    I am adding text to a pre-existing pdf document, not creating a form. I would like to be able to set a default font, size and color for text, so that when I enter text in a text box onto the pdf document, it has those properties. If I select the text box that is properly formatted (not the text, but the box) and right click, the only choices I get are:
    Cut
    Copy
    Delete
    Select All
    Deselect All
    Arrange>
    Edit Using>
    So I gues my question is if one can even format a text box as a default or a "style" or the like. I tried setting a default font, size and color for "comments" also in the Acrobat preferences, but even that didn't seem to stick when I opened a new doc. This all may just be a Mac / Mavericks interaction flaw. Anybody have any other ideas?
    Tom

  • How do I change the font size and color in my e-mail?

    I'm using the regular MAIL application on my Macbook (OSX 10.5.5) and I'm wondering how to change the font size and color of my incoming and outgoing mail.
    Any suggestions?
    thanks!

    I'm using the regular MAIL application on my Macbook (OSX 10.5.5) and I'm wondering how to change the font size and color of my incoming and outgoing mail.
    For outgoing email you the Fonts and Colors buttons found in the New Message pane (note that settings you make in Mail > Preferences do not affect outgoing messages).

  • How to change font size & color of text inside note and callout annotation using code ?

    Hi,
    I want to set different font size & color for the text inside note and callout annotations. And for this, I am setting properties using the DS attribute while creating annotations (see below code).
    //"font: Helvetica,sans-serif 12.0pt;font-stretch:Normal; text-align:left; color:#rrggbb";
    sprintf(buf,
    "%s %2.1f%s%s%s%s;" , "font: Helvetica,sans-serif", float(g_fontSize),"pt; font-stretch:Normal; text-align:left; color:#", str[0], str[1], str[2]);CosDictPutKeyString (cosAnnot,
    "DS",CosNewString (cosDoc, false, buf, strlen(buf)));PDAnnotNotifyDidChange(pdAnnot, ASAtomFromString(
    "DS"), 0);
    But this doesn't work when I just wrire text after creating annotation.
    And suprisingly it works fine when I click first outside of the annotaion and then double click to write text inside annoatation.
    Is this bug of Adobe ? if not then please let me know the fix.
    Regards,
    Arvind

    Hi
    Is there any way(eg. preference) by which we can change default color & font size for annotation?
