Are you trying to migrate your application from an older release to a newer one ?
Always provide details of which version of Jdeveloper you are using and what technologies your application uses besides what you were trying to do at a high level.
Since you donot provide much info at this point , all I could suggest would be to see if one of these results help -

I am presently running snow leopard and safari 5.1.7,I want to update just safari version.will there be a problem?
Probably not, but it's impossible to be certain in advance; back up everything first.
It isn't possible to update Safari past 5.1.10 without upgrading the computer's OS.

Unable to run spatial operations through dblinks
Hello All,
I am trying to run spatial operations through dblinks. Please see the example query below
select a.OGC_GEOMETRY.sdo_gtype from <table>@dblink a where sdo_nn(a.OGC_GEOMETRY,mdsys.sdo_geometry(2001,null,mdsys.sdo_point_type(0,0,null),null,null),'sdo_num_res=1')='TRUE'.
Query fails with the following error
ORA-13249:
ORA-06512: at "MDSYS.MD", line 1723
ORA-06512: at "MDSYS.MDERR", line 17
ORA-06512: at "MDSYS.PRVT_IDX", line 9
*13249. 00000 - "%s"*
**Cause: An internal error was encountered in the extensible spatial index*
component. The text of the message is obtained from some
other server component.
**Action: Contact Oracle Support Services with the exact error text.*
Same Query runs fine in the original database but fails with dblinks. Is it possible to run spatial operations through dblink?
Thanks & Regards,
JastiI've never used spatial myself but this other user had issues with it and dblinks. They ended up using the dblink to create a local materialized view with local indexes and used those.
MapBuilder does not work with DB-link in a spatial view
Found this as well. Does it mean anything to you?
4.2 Querying Spatial Data
This section describes how the structures of a Spatial layer are used to resolve spatial queries and spatial joins.
Spatial uses a two-tier query model with primary and secondary filter operations to resolve spatial queries and spatial joins, as explained in Section 1.6. The term two-tier indicates that two distinct operations are performed to resolve queries. If both operations are performed, the exact result set is returned.
You cannot append a database link (dblink) name to the name of a spatial table in a query if a spatial index is defined on that table.
If a spatial index is created in a database that was created using the UTF8 character set, spatial queries that use the spatial index will fail if the system parameter NLS_LENGTH_SEMANTICS is set to CHAR. For spatial queries to succeed in this case, the NLS_LENGTH_SEMANTICS parameter must be set to BYTE (its default value).

After viewing a video (usually YouTube, but not exclusively; either directly, or embedded in a web page), the mouse scroll wheel will become disabled. If I then switch over to Opera and use the scroll wheel on any open page, the scroll wheel will be re-enabled upon return to FireFox.
Important questions:
What ActiveX control are you using?
I'm using the PDF activex control to display a PDF on the front panel of my VI.
What version of LabVIEW are you using?
I'm using LabVIEW 7.1
What "control pages" are you talking about?
The pages of the PDF: it has several pages. If a mouse is held over it the user can scroll using the scroll wheel, or if they right click they can access the Adobe menu.
It's these that I'd like to inhibit them doing.
Thanks
Andy

I am unable to save or run a download. The reason being ' unable to read source code' Contact server administrator. I have used up all the suggestions in faq's and am able to download using explorer
I'm a designer not a code-geek and people like me need an easy way to grab screenshots. Codelines in developer tool is not an option! And the F1-option mentioned above does not work...
Please, please give us the screen grab add-ons back!!!
Or you have to implement a "right-click" feature within FF for screengrabbing...
If not I'll have to downgrade my FF.
(By the way - I've deselected the automatic upgrade option! Never again will I accept an auto upgrade!) -
Unable to run videos in neither Safari nor Firefox.
Since installation of Lion I have been unable to watch videos in either of my two browsers. Videos run the first time a browser is opened, but after that a box appears in the video window. It is captioned ADOBE FLASH PLAYER SETTINGS. It cannot be moved, nor does it respond to pressing the "ALLOW" or "DENY" buttons. It seems as if a new file is installed in the OS during the first running of a video. Has anyone experienced this problem? Has anyone found a solution to it?
Problem resolved. I completely uninstalled Flash Player (you must use the Flash player uninstaller utility available at the Adobe website) and then did a clean reinstall of the Lion Beta from the Adobe website.

Unable to run XPSDrv Driver and Filter Sample
Hello
I'm facing to a problem with XPSDrv Driver and Filter Sample on my Windows 7 x64 machine
I installed Visual Studio Ultimate 2013
I installed WDK 8.1
I installed WDK 8.1 Test Pack
I installed everything from this
site and I think that's all what I need for building the sample.
Next I downloaded XPSDrv Driver and Filter Sample from
http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/windowshardware/XPSDrv-Driver-and-Filter-980d24bc (btw. there is a step-by-step tutorial how to build the sample)
1. Open the solution file in Visual Studio 2013 (I opened solution C++\XPSDrvSmpl.sln)
2. Add all non-binary files (usually located in the \install directory of the sample) to the Package project
a. In the Solution Explorer, right click
Driver Files (HERE IS THE PROBLEM, WHAT IS DRIVER FILES ??? SEE PICTURE BELOW)
b. Select Add, then click Existing Item
c. Navigate to the location to which you downloaded the sample, and select all the files in the install directory, or the equivalent set of non-binary files such as INFs, INIs, GPD, PPD files, etc.
d. Click Add
Look at the picture how does my solution look like:
Can anybody tell me what I'm doing wrong?
Please remember to mark the replies as answers if they help and unmark them if they provide no help.So after I add the InstallPackage, I added all the files in the install folder to the driver files. Than I added all the files of the install folder to the package files in the properties of the driver package. I also added all the dlls of the sample to
the package files. Then I edited the inf file:
Change DriverVer to a new date,because the old one is not working.
And this under the driverver:
CatalogFile=xdsmpl.cat
Add this to each Microsoft.xx sections: {GUID}
Should look like this:
[Microsoft.NTx86]
"XPSDrv Sample Driver" = INSTALL_XDSMPL_FILTERS_PRE_VISTA,{GUID}
[Microsoft.NTia64]
"XPSDrv Sample Driver" = INSTALL_XDSMPL_FILTERS_PRE_VISTA,{GUID}
Change the location of the dlls under SourceDisksFiles to 1 or leave it to 2 if you have subfolders for architecures.
So my inf looks like that:

Can't view CR2 raw files in Bridge CS6 from Apple laptop pro - why?
I've got Adobe Bridge CS6 installed on both my desktop and laptop pro. For some reason I am not able to view the CR2 raw files on the laptop pro. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?
Thanks!!"CR2" files is meaningless. You need to specify the exact Canon camera model that generated them. There are many flavors of CR2 raw files.

My 2007 iMac slows and freezes while I'm using Safari and iTunes. The iTunes window freezes while music continues to play. Then music can begin stuttering. I have to press the power button to restart becuase I can't access the Apple pull down menu to force quit. The techs I use couldn't figure it out. It seems to be something about my data and not the applications. It's running correctly right now. Does anyone have any suggestions? They would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

#### Cannot run application SugarCRM due to error deploying to IntegratedWebLogicServer.
[Application SugarCRM stopped and undeployed from Server Instance IntegratedWebLogicServer]Context path '/SugarCRM-ViewController-context-root' is already in use by the module: SugarCRM-ViewController-context-root application: SugarCRM_Project1_SugarCRMLooks like the application (or another application which uses same context root) is already deployed to the server and could not be undeployed.
Can you invoke the WLS console, navigate the deployment and undeploy it, then try deploying from JDev and see if it works fine?

Unable to run procedure due to error in package OWA_UTIL
Hi,
I have written a nice PL/SQL procedure called 'send_notification'.. My procedure begins like this :
create or replace
procedure send_notification
is
ws_id number;
l_body clob;
l_url varchar2(256);
l_cgi_var_name varchar2(100) default 'SERVER_NAME';
l_server_name varchar2(2000) ;
begin
l_server_name := owa_util.get_cgi_env(l_cgi_var_name) ;
The procedure is nicely compiled without errors. When I run the procedure "send_notification", I get these error messages :
ORA-06502: PL/SQL : erreur numérique ou erreur sur une valeur
ORA-06512: à "SYS.OWA_UTIL", ligne 356
ORA-06512: à "SIVOA.SEND_NOTIFICATION", ligne 10
ORA-06512: à ligne 2
The lines 354-356 of the package OWA.UTIL shows this :
function get_cgi_env(param_name in varchar2) return varchar2 is
upper_param_name varchar2(2000) := upper(param_name);
begin
I have successfully compiled the package OWA_UTIL.
Thank you for your kind help.
ChristianThierry,
Your solution is working nicely.

Is there a way to view Windows Media Files on the Intel-based MacBook?
I've tried downloading WMV9 for Mac, but for some reason it refuses to play most files. I also tried downloading the Flip4Mac thingy but it won't work on an Intel-based machine. Any other ideas?
You can use Flip4Mac under Intel although you will need to run both QuicktimePlayer and Safari under Rosetta. To do this…
1) Change the installer to run using Rosetta
2) Change Quicktime Player to run using Rosetta
3) Change Safari to run using Rosetta
4) Install Flip4Mac plugins
5) Try it out -
After viewing a jpg file on my Windows 7 PC I get the following message and I don't know how to answer it "Some of thw file types associated with QuickTime applications are currently associated with other applications. Should I restore these file type associations to QuickTime?" Options are " Yes, No or Do not ask to perform yhis check again. QuickTime Control Panel can be used to make subsequent changes."
What shoul I do about this message?Select no.

Objects/records with 8i collections
I have read all the documentation and it seems that the only way to bulk collect multiple columns into records or objects using the 8i PL/SQL compiler is using individual nested tables/varrays per column. Is this true or does any clever developer out
