My page has a button that, when clicked, calls a Java function that sets a PageLegend and changes an image but then FireFox reloads the page switching everything back to original values. What's up?
This is happening with an ASP page. Not sure when it started, but the page used to work fine. The Java script is listed in the troubleshooting section. The button calls nextPic() which calls showPic(). After nextPic processes the page is reloaded.

My daughter's ipod nano shows up in "devices" when I plug it in...but it disappears. Right away it says it needs to update, but then after extracting the files it comes back and says that it can't be updated because it can't be unmounted. help?!
When in DFU mode and connected to the computer iTunes does not say anything but iTunes will see the iPod and you can restore the iPod via iTunes. When in recovery mode and you connect, iTunes will say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

Problems buying 'pages and numbers, I have an itunes a/c and have been trying to buy pages and numbers for 2 weeks now. When I press the green button to 'Buy now' nothing happens, the page remains on the screen. If I open my account, i haven't purchased anything

Did you know that by purchasing it in iTunes, you are purchasing the iOS version of Pages and Numbers? If you wanted the Mac version, it should be downloaded from the Mac App Store.
If you DID want to download a copy for an iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, then try purchasing these apps on one of those devices rather than iTunes and see if it works. -
How to call a java function that is in page header from a process in page.
Hi,
Generally we call plsql process from a javascript in the header of that page.
But i want the other way around.
Is it possible or is it a completely wrong idea.
I am thinking so because we are able to call javascripts from items and buttons why cant we do so from a process.

Processes and PL/SQL run in the database on the server. JavaScript runs in the browser on the client. For basuic security reasons the browser must make requests to the server, not the other way round.

With Explorer, the name tags do not appear on the pictures until I mouse over a specific person, at which point the tag appears. With Firefox, the name tags appear as soon as the picture is loaded, and only disappear when you mouse over the people in the picture. This makes the picture look messy; by default, one would want to see a picture without tags all over people's faces.

Happens when going to print.coupons.com. I click the "learn more" button on the message that the plugin has crashed, and I get sent to the Adobe Flash plugin crash info page on Firefox. They say just to reload the page. There is a button for this. I click it and the page tries to reload for 5 minutes before freezing.

I begin uploading video to Facebook and a small window opens to show the progress bar but, the video stops uploading about every 5% when a notification comes from the top bar stating: "Firefox prevented the page from reloading" with an Allow button on the right. Regardless of clicking the allow button and putting Facebook in every exception list Firefox options seems to have or even turning pop up blockers off, that dam button keeps coming! How do I prevent or disable this?

Acrobat Form button that when clicked will open a Windows Folder?
Is there a way to have a button on an Adobe Acrobat Form that when clicked will open a Windows Folder located with a predefined UNC path? I'm looking for a scripting solution.
UNC example: \\myserver\myshares\engineering\changeorders

Thanks for any help that you can give.This is in Internet Explorer 6 (yes, horrible, I know), but we use a standardized image where I work, with pretty intense GPO's.
Don't know what happens if you right-click the link; but from any other machine (with the same image) the same link will open with all three options "Open", "Save", and "Cancel". These are not freshly imaged machines, so some setting must of been changed along the way to make this happen on this user's computer.
Repaired Acrobat, but this resolved nothing.
Also checked in IE to make sure that Adobe was enabled under the Programs tab.
Also, the option to view a pdf within the browser is not turned on.
Any other ideas? -

You need to look for an app that has a custom keyboard with the features you require, I suggest you find one without CAPSLOCK

Again you need to look at how to manage the device - these settings can be turned off already & you can edit the 'suggestions' too.
Settings > General > Keyboards > turn Auto-Correction Off.
Sadly you cannot disable autocorrect temporarily, so it's all or nothing. -

You get an alert about resending POST data if you go back to a page or refresh a page that was previously requested from the server by submitting form data via a (hidden) POST form.<br />
Firefox can only make sure to get the same page by resending that POST form.<br />
Firefox doesn't know what that form data means, so Firefox asks for confirmation before resending that form data as such an action can cause you to repeat an action and buy another item or post a message another time.<br />
A way to prevent this pop-up about resending POST data is not to use the Back button, but to open links on a page requested from a server by sending a form with POST date in a new tab (window) with a middle-click or a Ctrl + left-click. -

How do I create a icon that when clicked will open and maximize an image file? I have tried to use the simple image widget with maximize upon tap/click - however I am can only size the image really small and put on the page. I'd prefer to have a graphic that when clicked it simply opens up the image. This is for a very simple question/answer book. The user is suppose to look at a picture and locate something. I want to put an 'Answer' graphic on the image and then the user can click the 'answer' graphic and it will open up the picture with the answer identified.
Is this possible?Have yiu tried the PopOver widget? You can drop an image into it, maximise the image and the widgets window...But, you cannot get it full screen.
With iBooks Author, you either learn to use what is available within the app, or look online for third party widgets to purchase which suit your project. -

You can turn that off if you want ..

I have a HP Officejet Pro 8500A and I had no problems printing to it from my Mac or Macbook pro. The macbook is wifi and the Mac is cable, I have recently had the printer replaced with an exact model. Since doing that I can only print from the macbook pro, when I try and print from teh mac it doesnt see the pages. It could be a 10 page document and it will just show two blank pages. I have googled the question and have tried deleating the printer and reinstalling without any luck. When I got the new printer I insalled all the latest drivers thats the only thing different.

MichelleRight click the printer in System Prefences - Print & Scan and use Reset Printing System... and then reinstall the printer, should take less than 5 minutes. Here is a photo showing how to Reset Printing System....
