If you forgot your encryption password:
Warning: Make sure it's a password you will remember or write it down for safekeeping. If you encrypt an iPhone backup in iTunes and forget your password, you can't restore from backup and your data will be unrecoverable.
If you can't remember the password and want to start again, you must perform a full software restore and chooseset up as a new device when iTunes prompts you to select the backup from which to restore.

I'm setting up my new iPhone and already have an iTunes account. It's asking me if I would like to set up as a new iPhone, or Restore from the backup of my iTouch. If i set up as a new iPhone will that delete all my music from my previous iTunes account?

I got an iphone for christmas of 2013, and had it for two or three months before it fell out of my lap and the screen cracked.
I got a replacement and all my stuff from the previous phone was on the new one- my notes, pictures, etc.
I cracked that phone and got it replaced yesterday, and started to panick because none of my notes were there, and my pictures (which the store transfered for me) were all out of order.
I have important things in my notes that I need, along with my music and pictures.
My question is, if all the data from the previous phone was on my old phone, can I delete the cloud storage for the previous phone because it was all on my old phone?Not sure what it is you are asking? If you are looking for your Notes, then what does deleting the iCloud storage have to do with it?
Do you have the same iCloud account signed onto the new phone? When you go to iCloud.com on a computer, can you see your notes? If so, then make sure that the Notes option is turned on in Settings>iCloud. If your notes are in iCloud.com, then they should push down to any device that is signed onto the same iCloud account and that has the Notes option turned on.

How can I restore my data from a backup with different Phone name?
I recently had to restore my iphone which erased all the data. I have a backup of that data in iTunes and I want to restore it to the phone. However when I connected the phone to iTunes the first time after resetting everything, I accidently chose to create a new phone instead of restore settings and data from the backup.
My question is, how can I restore the iPhone from this previous backup? My iPhone is currently called "untitled playlist" and the backup is called "JC's iPhone".

If you restore again, you will be prompted to choose a backup or setup as a new phone again. Then you can just choose your old backup.

I updated my N97 phone software yesterday and have just realised that I 'synched' my phone instead of 'backed-up'.
Is it possible to restore my data (only messages really) to my phone from the Synch or do I need to do this manually.
Sorry to ask, as I'm sure it's been raised loads on here, but how do I simply find my messages & copy them back onto my phone. I hate this Ovi software. The more basic PC Suite is miles better (or should I say simpler).

From your description, i think you're using the older version which can only backup everything, and thus restore everything.
The newer PC Suite version allows you to back up with selection, and also to restore with option as well.
You can therefore use that to restore the messages to your phone.
Btw, you might wish to select your message memory to your built in mass memory.

Have you tried a reset: Press and hold both Sleep/Wake and Home buttons until the Apple logo appears.
If the reset doesn't fix it, then you will have to restore your iPad ... but without a backup, your iPad's data will be lost:

Do you have a backup of your contents? When the iPhone showed the screen with the USB cable and said to connect to iTunes, it had already entered the recovery mode which means all content had been erased. So you need a backup from before the water damage and problems started to get your contents back.

I got a new iPhone 5 today after smashing the screen on my old one. I needed to use it straight away and wasn't connected to a wifi so i wasn't able to restore using iCloud, I set it up as a 'new phone'. How do I restore it now from my previous phone backup?
ThanksRestoring to an iCloud backup has to be done in the initial setup process. If you have any data on your phone now that is not in the backup that you want to save you'll need to do that first. Then go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings. You will then go through the setup screens as you did when the phone was new. When given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup (see image below). Be sure you are connected to wifi and your charger as this will take some time to finish.

IS THERE I NEED TO RESTART THE PROCESS CHAINS OR WHAT?Is it already scheduled for a daily run or manually you are running the process chain?
If its manually running then you can select your process chain, and then right click on the start process --> Maintain variant --> Scheduling --> in the scheduler screen , you can click on the Immediate, save the changes and save in the next screen, once it comes back in the main screen, you have a scheduling Icon (Clock idoc). Click on it. Once done then it will be oK.
Or firs the process only failed, then you can right click on the failed process and then choose "Repeat" option to repeat the process.
Also you can check the source system connection is fine or not? RSa1 --> Source system --> CHECK

One thing to check: when shutting down or restarting, there is a checkbox in the shutdown/restart dialog which asks whether you want currently open applications to open at startup.
