My screen is not always responsive when I'm on a call
Most of the time when I'm on a call my END CALL or END + ANSWER button does not work. I'll push it over and over again and it just dims & come back like I never pushed it. I normally have to wait until the other person hangs up before I can click over or end a call. Has anyone else had this problem? I don't think my screen is that greasy or dirty.
Do you have a case on the phone? If so, then try removing the case and see if the phone works correctly with it removed. If it does, then there is something about the case that is blocking the proximity sensor. If it does not, you can try to reset the phone, holding the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. See if it works after the phone restarts. If that doesn't help, the next step is a restore, first from a backup and if necessary as a new device. If it still doesn't work properly, then it could be hardware issue and the only way to check is to have Apple examine the phone.

thanksHi. I was having the same issue. I took my phone to the genius bar (apple store) and they tightened one of the cables inside the phone. They guy told me that apple has seen some phones that have a loose cable inside and its a quick 2 minute fix. Since I went to the apple store and they did the reconnecting, I haven't had that problem

i have model A1458...been acting possessed.... apps opening and closing on their own...zooming in and out... not always responsive to my touch... what could be the problem?
The two most likely culprits would be a faulty cable/charging block or a bad digitizer. Try charging the device with a different charger and cable. If the problem goes away, then the problem is with your charger. If it does not, try the basics of resetting, restoriing from back up, restoring as new. If you still have the problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store for evaluation.

Regarding point (b) You should be using the java.net.URLEncoder to encode URL parameters, not a base64 encoder.

My phone will not light up when i receve test messages, calls, or other notifications. i have the sounds all turned on and everything turned on i could in the settings but it still wont work...? please help!!
Make sure that you have do not disturb off. If you pull up notification center it will be the crescent moon.

Share Screen does not work well when wifi is turned on.

I'm having a minor little problem with Share Screen among 3 machines, 2 Lion OS mac pros connected with network cable, and a 3rd mbp laptop, also LION. I use share screen a lot and I am unable to connect from my main mac pro to the 2nd mac pro (via an ethernet cable) when wifi is turned on.....actually, I can connect, but it gets stuck on the "Connecting" screen and then 10 minutes later, it connects. When I turn wifi off, then hit Share Screen, the connection and response is very fast.
After several hours playing with Sharing preferences....I think it seems like a network thing. I have checked network preferences, and re-ordered them to prioritize ethernet over wifi, powered off all devices including router, and everything else I can think of. btw, the share screen connection from my laptop to the mac pro is fine, even when wifi is turned on on the laptop.
A simple work around is to just turn wifi off, make my connection, then turn wifi back on. But I'm curious and would like to solve this issue. It started after my 10.7.4 client combo update and has been working fine for several months before that, so I'd like to figure it out. Any ideas?

I had a failing hard drive (not the OS drive) in one of the drive bays. A couple of days after I posted this question, the drive (which has been at S.M.A.R.T. status "failing" for 6 months completely died, at which point the computer wouldn't even turn on. After removing the drive, everything with the Share Screen works fine, both over network cable and wifi. -
My MacBook screen will not turn off when closed.
I replaced the screen on my 13.3 MacBook, but now when I close the it, the screen does not enter sleep mode like it is supposed to (the Apple logo is still lit, and light can be seen inside the laptop. Also when it is closed, and music is playing- the music does not stop.) I have not called Apple yet (because it is Xmas Eve) but I will as soon as possible. I did a PRAM zap, and tried going through the system preferences. Any help would be great, thank you.
There is supposed to be a small magnet in the lid that triggers the sleep switch when the lid comes down. It sounds like it wasn't installed as part of the screen swap. You can confirm this using a fridge magnet. Place the magnet on the edge of the palm rest just above the Kensinton security slot and it should trigger a sleep response. If it does, that confirms the magnet is missing from the lid.

The HCM Review Budget Retro page level 2 scroll do not always refresh when scrolling thru level 1
When using the Review Budget Retro (Payroll for North America > Payroll Distribution > Commitment Accounting USA > Review Retro Distribution) page, scrolling thru level 1, level 2 does not always refresh. I am able to re-create this in our DMO environment. Has anyone else experienced this and resolved quickly on their own?
You should be able to get some more precise information from your Xorg logs, but I would bet it is related to the evdev driver. Some of the options in your xorg.conf no longer work with the latest version. For now you should be able to either map your mouse directly to the appropriate /dev/event* entry or change to the standard mouse driver, both of those methods should be in the wiki.
You are supposed to be able to use the evdev driver without the input section of your xorg.conf by using dbus/hal autodetection, but AFAIK at the moment the xorg-server package still isn't compiled with hal support, so you would have to patch and rebuild the package. -
Printer settings menu does not always change when switching printers
I am running OS 10.3.9 and also seen this issue on a 10.4 machine. When switching from one printer to another the printer options drop down menu does not always transfer to the correct menu for the newly selected printer. It stays at the menu for the last used printer. I am using several different Sharp printers as well as some HP models. The applications being used are Office 10 Word and Power Point. If anyone has seen this and has a fix I would greatly appreciate it.
ThanksI don't have a solution but have also noticed that the printer in the menu is sort of like spinning the wheel of fortune.
Hopefully there is a solution but my guess is that it has something to do with a printer preference file that can get hijacked by different printers and applications.
I have noticed that a printer driver when installed will usually appear as the default printer even if it was not selected as such. I have also notice that different applications will do different things with different printers so I hope someone has a solution. -
Satellite M60 - screen does not come on when i reboot
I have a Toshiba Satellite M60 and the screen does not come when I power down or reboot. It takes about 12 tries before it comes on. When the screen does not come on the computer still boots up ok just no screen.
I have to put it in standby mode if I do not want the hassle of trying to get the screen to come on. Is this a screen or inverter problem?

You cannot expect that someone here offer exact diagnostic to your problem. For instance, I can say yes, you need new display. And what now? Do you want to follow my opinion and order new display?
What you really need is professional help. Technicians know how to handle with such cases. Maybe just some cable must be exchanged. I recommend you to contact nearest authorized service provider. Explain them the situation and let them check your notebook. -
My 27 inch iMac monitor tilts forward and will not hold position when I adjust it up.. Is there a tension adjustment for the monitor position?
That is a hardware issue that will be covered under warranty if the machine is a 2012 or later iMac. Bring it into your closest Apple Store or AASP for repair.

Z2 double tap to wake up the screen is not working properly when taking it out of pocket
when i take my phone out of my pocket, the double tap function is not working properly, sometimes i have to tap over and over to wake up the screen.

any advice ?Actually it needs some practice, you need two gentle taps on the upper third of the phone (around the place where the clock shows on lock screen), tapping too hard or tapping on the lower part of the phone will require repeating the tapping more than one time. This is from my personal experience.
