My Wi-Fi says "no Wi-Fi" and it's enabled. how do i turn it on?

I am having trouble with my ipod touch. I restored it's settings and my wifi is enabled. it says "no wi-fi". How do I turn it on?

If you restored to factory defaults/new iPod try here:
iOS: Wi-Fi or Bluetooth settings grayed out or dim
Frequently it is due to a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store isin order.
