MyGit directory created

What is the "MyGit" directory that is created by Visual Studio from time to time in my project directory? Is that a bug in VS 2015 CTP 6 or has that already been in previous versions? It only happens in a solution that's under Git version control
using VS' built-in Git provider. The directory name starts with "MyGit", followed by a random GUID. They contain an empty base Git repository each. I just delete those directories when I see them, but they keep coming back. This is not the Git repository
my project is stored in, that's in .git.

Hi LonelyPixel,
>>I don't know what VSO is, and I'm not using TFS. I'm using Git and only with a local repository. Nothing anywhere remote.

You can use Visual Studio and Git to collaborate with your team using Team Foundation Server (on-premises or on
Visual Studio Online), on
CodePlex, or on a third-party service such as GitHub or Bitbucket.
Do you mean that you didn't use the VSO or the TFS or the third party service?
Do you mean that you just use the VS2015 CTP 6 in your local machine? Whether it is related to this document(it is about the VS2013)?

To really repro/understand this issue, could you share us the detailed steps? It would be better if you could share us screen shots about the real results in your side?

  • Directory Create problem

    Hi,
I have used the below query for creating a directory
    CREATE OR REPLACE DIRECTORY EXPORT_DIR AS 'D:\SCRIPTS';
The above query is giving no error while execution but its not creating any directory under D:\
    Any help will be needful

    Hi,
CREATE DIRECTORY doesn't create any directory in the operating system, only creates an Oracle object related to this directory. You must create the directory and grant the privileges later to the user on the Oracle directory created.
    Regards,

  • Where is the directory created?

I have create a directory with the following command:
    create or replace directory '/tmp/';
    Where this directory created?

    See correct syntax there:
    http://www.mcs.csueastbay.edu/support/oracle/doc/10.2/server.102/b14200/statements_5007.htm
The statement creates a database object, not a operating system object/folder. The database directory object is not validated, it is just object pointing to some operating system folder, does this folder exist or not does not matter for database, it creates the database object only.
You must create in operating system the folder yourself. This command doens't create the OS folder.

  • ORACLE VIRTUAL DIRECTORY - Create Local Store Adapter

    Hi,
I have some problem with the LSA creation.
    I follow this steps:
*5.2 Creating a Local Store Adapter*
Create Local Store Adapter dc=oracle,dc=com, as follows:
    *1.*
Access Oracle Directory Services Manager, as described in "Accessing Oracle Directory Services Manager".
    *2.*
Click the Adapter tab. On the Adapter page:
    *1.*
Click the Create Adapter icon and choose Local Store Adapter.
    *2.*
    Enter the Adapter name LSA.
    *3.*
    Leave Template set to Default.
    *4.*
    Click Next.
    *3.*
    On the Settings page:
    *1.*
    Enter the Adapter Suffix/Namespace dc=oracle,dc=com.
    *2.*
    Enter data/localDB for Database File.
    *3.*
Use the default values for the rest of the fields on the Settings page.
    *4.*
    Click Next.
    *4.*
Review the summary page and click Finish if everything looks correct.
    Note:
If, for some reason, you decide to delete the adapter and create a new one, use a different Adapter name and a different Database File name.
    *5.3 Adding Entries*
Create an entry in the local store as follows:
    *1.*
Using a text editor, create an LDIF file that looks like this:
    version: 1
    dn: dc=oracle,dc=com
    objectclass: top
    objectclass: domain
    dc: oracle
    *2.*
Access Oracle Directory Services Manager, as described in "Accessing Oracle Directory Services Manager".
    *3.*
    Click the Data Browser tab.
    *4.*
    Highlight dc=oracle,dc=com under Client View.
    *5.*
    Click the Import LDIF icon.
    *6.*
Browse to the LDIF file you created and click Open.
When I try to import the ldif I have this error:
    __ldap_add: Object class violation (65)__

    Can you help me?
    best regardes
    Alessandro

    Hi Saggu,
You are absolutely right. It's working fine now. I need to know one more like performance.
If i have three adapters in the adapter configuration, and 21 adapters in the adapter configuration.
Which kind of configuration will help to improve the performance?
    Two Scenarios:
    1. Three Adapters
    2. 21 Adapters.
    Explanation:
    1. Adapters are mapped at Root DN level.
    Example: dc=company,dc=groups,dc=com
    2. Adapters are mapped to interior level.
    Example: ou=Firstgroup,o=initialemp,dc=company,dc=group,dc=com
Based on the above two scenarios which mapping is the best regarding the performance level.
Can you please suggest me on this performance issue.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Sandeep D

  • Receiver FTP Adapter - Directory create

    Hello,
the XI FTP Receiver Adapter by default creates the target directory on the FTP Server if it does not exist. The J2SE Engine had an option if you want to create the directory or not.
Is that available in the XI 3.0 J2EE FTP Adapter? I could not find it. Further if that can be set, would the adatper throw an error?
    Thanks
    Stefan

    Hi Stefan,
I'm facing the same issue, while trying to create a dynamic folder in the FTP server.
The FTP adapter failed with the error 'An error occurred while connecting to the FTP server 'ftpserverip:21'. The FTP server returned the following error message: 'com.sap.aii.adapter.file.ftp.FTPEx: 550 /root/dynamic/: The system cannot find the path specified. '. For details, contact your FTP server vendor.
Were you able to resolve this issue using any SAP notes?
    Thanks in advance.
    Thanks,
    Joe.

  • No error shown but database not installed (no c:\sapdb directory created)

After a failed installation of NetWeaver 2004s ABAP Trial Version (SP11) downloaded from SDN, I removed MaxDB using the control panel, deleted the SAP and sapdb directories, restored the services file, and ran the registry clean tool.
I then tried to install the SP10 version from the DVD in the new ABAP Objects book - this ran for only a couple of minutes, gave no errors but didn't install the database.  I presumed this was an error with the DVD so I cleaned everything up again and tried installing the downloaded SP11 version again, but the same thing happened: it only ran for a couple of minutes and said everything was OK but created no database directory.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance,
    Andrew

    Hello Andrew,
    Unistall/delete your current NSP system.
    Afterwards remove the folder
    <DRIVE>:Program FilesCommon FilesInstallShieldUniversalSAP
and all sub-folders and reinstall SP11 again.
    Kind regards,
    Klaus

  • Bash: unzip file and move into directory if directory created

I'm writing a script that decompresses zipped/rared files.
The zips typically have content in a one directory or not contained in a directory.
Is there a way to see if the unzip process created a directory and move into it or if one wasn't created to operate on the files extracted in the PWD?
So far the rar files have only had data that gets extracted to PWD, but if I see some with files in directories I'd like for a solution that might work in that case as well.

Would zipinfo' help?  It lists zip archive files in a format similar to 'ls -l'.
I only tried this on two zipfiles, and I'm concerned about how foolproof this may or may not be.
Zipinfo lists the files in the opposite order that they were placed into the zipfile, I think.  If the first file placed into the zip was the parent directory, and so contains all the other files, the listing will be something like that shown below, with the container directory always on the next-to-last line of zipinfo's output:
    -rw-a-- 2.0 fat 1057 tx defX 09-Nov-12 17:56 examples/README.txt
    drwx--- 2.0 fat 0 bx stor 09-Nov-12 16:48 examples/
    42 files, 508682 bytes uncompressed, 133398 bytes compressed: 73.8%
So one would have to test if the next-to-last line of zipinfo's output begins with 'd' (directory) or '-' (regular file).
Off the top of my head, with not-so great command-line skills, I came up with:
    zipinfo example.zip | tail -n 2 | grep '^d'

  • Permission denied to view directory created by application

I'm working on creating a package for the AUR, and I have this problem. The package is Angband 3.1.0beta, FYI.
The program stores its information in a directory called "~/.angband". The problem is, since the program is running as root (needed for scores, etc.), it creates the directory as root. It seems that since it was created as root, normal users can't view it or anything.
How can I possibly fix this? I'll appreciate any help I can get.

tdy wrote:The usual workaround for games with high scores is to install with root:games ownership and enable setgid.  That lets you view scores and play as a regular user.
    Thanks, worked like a charm!

I am getting error message when trying to buy photo book created in Aperature 3 - failed to create temporary directory and then error localize.  Help!

    Hello BDAqua,
    Thanks for the suggeston.
I did the A4 routine several times to no avail. Doesn't that include C11?
Anyway I'll keep C11 (simple reselect of backup disk) in mind for the future.
For now I'd rather keep using my old backup disk even if it's only 80GB for 43GB full backup size. At least it is working perfectly.

  • SQL CE 3.5 Directory Created if Referenced?

I upgraded the reference to SqlCE dll from 3.1 to 5.1 in a project.  On a clean booted device,  I ran the app with the new SQLCE 3.5.1 reference and it creates on the device the application directory AND a separate "Microsoft SQL Server
Compact Edition" directory with a v3.5 folder which includes EN folder and 7 - 3.5 dlls. This added  "Microsoft SQL Server Compact Edition" directory is in the \Program Files directory on the device.
Is there not a way to include these files in the project instead?  Or do I need to just copy this directory over to the handheld when i deploy the app onto the device (file copy from PC).
    What am i missing?
    TIA
    Harry

    Erik
When deployed to the device this is the stucture that is added:
    \Program Files
          \Microsoft SQL Server Compact Edition
                \v3.5
                        \EN
                            isqlw35.exe
                        sqlceer35EN.dll
                        sqlceqp35.dll
                        sqlceca35.dll
                        sqlceme35.dll
                        sqlcese35.dll
                        sqlcecompact35.dll
                        sqlceoledb35.dll
I need the minimum to make a simple file copy work.  Do I need to keep any of the above file stucture or just add DLLs to the project. Do I need to then refernece these specific DLLs within the project or will the app look in the project first for what
    it needs?
    Appreciate you help.

  • Folder Directory Create

I recently Migrated our sharepoint from windows 2003 to 2008. In doing so I lost Cold fusion and a directory Wizard, This wizard was put in place to create a folder directory out on our network drive when used. Now I have Coldfusion 10 installed on my new sharepoint server, I have brought over all of these directory wizard files but it still does not work. Its like I am missing a certain link in the chain here. Can anyone shed some light on the topic?
The wizard opens up to the first page, which it says next to continue. You would select a company which the code is written to pull a companies list from the network drive, then it creates a folder directory with files in the on that network drive. Now when you lick the initital next button it buttons and takes us to a The website cannot display the page. I still have all the original code files, placed into the same exact directory on the sharepoint server. The sharepoint server is an identical match, but its like somewhere something isnt lined up correctly.
I also have downloaded Coldfusion builder also.

OKay since page 1 actually doesnt do anything I can skip that, and ill start on page 2 and the other esential code files that actually build the directory.
    DIRECTORY.CFM
    Unable to Determine Parse Mode!
The validator can process documents either as XML (for document types such as XHTML, SVG, etc.) or SGML (for HTML 4.01 and prior versions). For this document, the information available was not sufficient to determine the parsing mode unambiguously, because:
in Direct Input mode, no MIME Media Type is served to the validator
No known Document Type could be detected
No XML declaration (e.g <?xml version="1.0"?>) could be found at the beginning of the document.
No XML namespace (e.g <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en">) could be found at the root of the document.
As a default, the validator is falling back to SGML mode.
No DOCTYPE found! Checking with default HTML 4.01 Transitional Document Type.
No DOCTYPE Declaration could be found or recognized in this document. This generally means that the document is not declaring its Document Type at the top. It can also mean that the DOCTYPE declaration contains a spelling error, or that it is not using the correct syntax.
The document was checked using a default "fallback" Document Type Definition that closely resembles “HTML 4.01 Transitional”.
Learn how to add a doctype to your document from our FAQ.
No Character encoding declared at document level
No character encoding information was found within the document, either in an HTML meta element or an XML declaration. It is often recommended to declare the character encoding in the document itself, especially if there is a chance that the document will be read from or saved to disk, CD, etc.
See this tutorial on character encoding for techniques and explanations.
Using Direct Input mode: UTF-8 character encoding assumed
Unlike the “by URI” and “by File Upload” modes, the “Direct Input” mode of the validator provides validated content in the form of characters pasted or typed in the validator's form field. This will automatically make the data UTF-8, and therefore the validator does not need to determine the character encoding of your document, and will ignore any charset information specified.
If you notice a discrepancy in detected character encoding between the “Direct Input” mode and other validator modes, this is likely to be the reason. It is neither a bug in the validator, nor in your document.

    Validation Output: 27 Errors
Line 1, Column 1: no document type declaration; implying "<!DOCTYPE HTML SYSTEM>"<HTML>

The checked page did not contain a document type ("DOCTYPE") declaration. The Validator has tried to validate with a fallback DTD, but this is quite likely to be incorrect and will generate a large number of incorrect error messages. It is highly recommended that you insert the proper DOCTYPE declaration in your document -- instructions for doing this are given above -- and it is necessary to have this declaration before the page can be declared to be valid.
Line 3, Column 11: cannot generate system identifier for general entity "I" <TITLE>C&I Engineering - Project Directory Wizard</TITLE>

An entity reference was found in the document, but there is no reference by that name defined. Often this is caused by misspelling the reference name, unencoded ampersands, or by leaving off the trailing semicolon (;). The most common cause of this error is unencoded ampersands in URLs as described by the WDG in "Ampersands in URLs".
Entity references start with an ampersand (&) and end with a semicolon (;). If you want to use a literal ampersand in your document you must encode it as "&amp;" (even inside URLs!). Be careful to end entity references with a semicolon or your entity reference may get interpreted in connection with the following text. Also keep in mind that named entity references are case-sensitive; &Aelig; and &aelig; are different characters.
If this error appears in some markup generated by PHP's session handling code, this article has explanations and solutions to your problem.
Note that in most documents, errors related to entity references will trigger up to 5 separate messages from the Validator. Usually these will all disappear when the original problem is fixed.
Line 3, Column 11: general entity "I" not defined and no default entity <TITLE>C&I Engineering - Project Directory Wizard</TITLE>

This is usually a cascading error caused by a an undefined entity reference or use of an unencoded ampersand (&) in an URL or body text. See the previous message for further details.
