Mysql: Integration of SOA
Hello,
Thanks for the help on the forum.
We have been looking into open source software for data management. And we would be interested in a similar field.
We are wanting to implement SOA. It would be to complete our existing software. What would you know about open source SOA ?
Thanks a lot.
There are different offers for SOA. To use both Service Oriented Architecture and data management software, you can look at and use Talend as there are both tools to use.
They are community oriented: free to download and open source. Other SOA solutions exist on the market. But when considering other solutions, this option seems to be the stablest.

JCA adapter Integration with SOA suite
Hi all,
Where can I find documentation or reference regarding integration of third party adapter with SOA suite?
There is an option of Third Party Adapter in SOA project of JDeveloper. When I drag it onto the composite.xml file, a window comes up asking for wsdl, jca files, etc. So I would like to know if there is any example or tutorial on how to integrate a third party adapter with SOA suite. Thanks.
Regards,
K.HeinThanks Anuj!
It seems like a new way of integrating JCA adapter to SOA suite.
Actually, I was only aware of integrating as a third party adapter as mentioned in this article (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/articles/luttikhuizen-adapters-091679.html) which require wsdl and jca files.
Are there any difference between those two approaches? Which would be the recommended approach for JCA adapter integration with SOA? Thanks again for your informative replies.
Regards,
Kyi Hein

B2B : Integration with SOA
Hi gurus,
i want to test the B2B Integration with SOA. I am using
Document Protocol : EDI_X12
Document type : 850 (Purchase Order)
Version: 4010
B2B version: 11.1.1.5.0
Weblogic server : 10.3.5
Probelm Description:
I am working on Integration effort. I have created a SOA composite , A file adapter is configured for polling EDI native xml from local file location and a B2B send Adapter is configured for sending the EDI native xml data to the B2B console. And I have used Mediator as component. Now in B2B console, I have configured an Agreement which will translate the EDI native xml to EDI native data and send it to a FTP location (Generic FTP channel is created). And another B2B listening channel is listening the loaction and performs the B2B Inbound Operation.
This scenario is working fine but the problem is the EDI native data , which is generated from B2B console is not in proper format.
Data:
* ISA~00~ ~00~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~110926~1552~U~00401~100000011~0~P~\ *
GS~PO~ ~ ~20110926~1552~1011~X~004010
ST~850~0001
BEG~00~AB~P~~20110913
PO1~A
SE~4~0001
GE~1~1011
IEA~1~100000011
some fields of ISA and GS segments are not generated , thats why my B2B Inbound Operation is getting hampered , it always throws error.
B2B Inbound operation is working fine when i am putting EDI_Native data in that location manually.
My Expected data is :
===========================
ISA~00~Authorizat~00~Security I~01~Interchange Sen~01~Interchange Rec~110913~1725~U~00401~000000001~0~P~\
GS~PO~EDI~LOCAL~20110913~1725~1~T~004010
ST~850~0001
BEG~00~AB~P~~20110913
PO1~A
SE~4~0001
GE~1~1
IEA~1~000000001
How will I get it ?
Any suggestion would be helpful to me..
thanks in adv.
SharmisthaHi Sharmistha,
I think you have not added the EDI identifiers (EDI Goup Id, EDI Interchange ID, EDI Interchange ID Qualifier ) in the outbound agreement. Make sure that you are adding all three in both the trading partner profiles while creating the agreement. Save, validate, deploy the agreements after adding these in the agreements and try a test again.
You may use "Ctrl" or "Shift" button of keyboard to select more than one identifiers at a time. You need to also add the same in inbound agreement.

IWeb needs simple MySQL integration!
iWeb could be a fantastic program if it had MySQL integration, especially for those of us Mac users who like building CMS type sites. Better yet, iWeb would be the #1 web tool if it could build templates for Joomla, Drupal, Wordpress, etc., from within the App.
Thanks guys for the "heads up." However, I am extremely familiar with php, apache, and hosts.
I guess my suggestion deserves more explanation.
If iWeb contained a "Tables" and "Fields" manager, something similar to Navicat's MySQL tool, within its code base, then iWeb could allow a CMS or CRM to be built right within the app that doesn't require 3rd party involvement. It would also spark some great "security" opportunities for webmasters using iWeb.
It would allow a user to build a user table, giving the designer more flexibility in "who can see what" on the iWeb site. It would certainly up the viability of iWeb's use by Mac Users because it would better support "automated dynamic content." By iWeb having the ability to connect directly with MySQL (which comes with OS X), iWeb could become the Mac users choice for simple CMS and CRM website development / prototyping.
I especially dislike the proprietary nature of iWeb's abilities, in that, I have to pay for an Apple Hosting account that is far too limited on features and offerings for its cost. iWeb needs work, and I think experienced webmaster input is important for Apple to better satisfy the needs / desires of its consumers.
Maybe that clarifies what I meant by this post a little better?
Walt.

Issue with B2B Simulator for testing Healthcare Integration in SOA 11.1.1.6
Hi All,
I've installed the healthcare integration patch on top of SOA 11g PS5, and am now trying out the integration scenarios as detailed here . When running the B2B simulator as detailed in the readme, I'm able to see that the ADT file is polled from /tmp/blite/test/in folder, but the same file is not put into the /tmp/blite/test/out folder as expected. Nor am I able to see the messages in the Healthcare UI dashboards, neither the SCA composite instance is instantiated in the EM console.
The simulator log generated by B2B simulator does not show any apparent error, except for a oracle.jrf.UnknownPlatformException: JRF is unable to determine the current application server platform. But the process seems to have gone ahead and also shows that the message sent count as 1. Has anyone tried this integration scenario in Healthcare? Any pointers would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Integration Repository SOA Gateway, not able to generate WSDL
In Oracle R12.1.2, we are trying to generate WSDL for a pl/sql from "Integrated SOA Gateway" responsibility, we are getting the below error, can you help me in overcoming this issue.
SOA Provider Access resulted in exception 'oracle.apps.fnd.soa.util.SOAException: ServiceGenerationError: ServiceGenerationError: Error in Service Generationoracle.jpub.Doit.main([Ljava.lang.String;, java.sql.Connection, oracle.jpub.mesg.AbstractMessages)' when attempting to perform 'GENERATE'. try givng C:\temp remember temp should have read and write permissions for the oracle applications o/s user(applmgr)Using c:\temp\test.log results in the following error while saving the log setting:
An error has occurred!
For input string: "10001:\temp\test.log"
I can use whatever string I want, but as long as a ":" is included, I get that error.
As for the user permissions. I installed the EBS using the standard Administrator account and this account is a member of Administrators and ora_dba.

Php mysql integration with workgroup manager
Hello,
I run a non-profit arts organization. We have active and inactive members that are tracked with a php mysql web app that I wrote. I was wondering how I could query the workgroup manager from php to make the inactive members not be able to login to our computers. Also, it would be great if we could just add new members into the php web app and then send that new member's info to the workgroup manager.
Is this possible?
Thanks
AlexYes, I have an OS X 10.4.3 server - which is also integrated in the AD. If i log on locally on the server with an account from the AD, then the workgroup manager works perfectly.
Guess my main problem is that i don't know where in the process things goes wrong.
- Is it on the client, that it is not able to sent the right requests
- Is it on the OS X Server, where something is misconfigured
- Is it security settings in the AD that prevents the server and client from getting the right information
I have the possibility on both the server and client to do ldap requests through the address book - this tells me that i do have some sort of connection. And that is also verified by actually being able to login with AD accounts.
Is there any logs i should pay special attention to? All the logs i can see through server admin doesn't contain usefull information. The logs on the client located in /var/log only tells me about some minor issues with mcxd (something about the uid being 1325883267 - which confuses me a bit - i thought uid's on unix was between 1 and 65535 :/ )

hi',
I am facing issue with database after integrating OID with BPEL,
below are the products and the versions:
1.) Oracle 10G database version (10.2.0.1) patched it to version (10.2.0.3)
2.) SOA suite version (10.1.3.1.0)
3.) Oracle Access Manager version (10.1.4.0.1)
4.) Oracle Identity Manager version (10.1.4.0.1)
the issue is as soon as I integrate OID with BPEL and restart the system the database will start throwing all sort of errors.
like "TNSListener.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close"
In the services if I try to start sql plus then "isqlplussvc has encountered a problem need to close "
My question is are these stabe versions for doing the integration, if no then please tell me what version to use.
thanks
YatanI am able to resolve the issue:
The mistake I was doing was creating ORACLE_HOME in the enviornment variable, as I have Oracle 10 G database and SOA suite on the same machine, so it was creating a clash, the right approach is setting the ORACLE_HOME through command prompt, I was setting ORACLE_HOME because while executing the configure_oid.bat file it requires ORACLE_HOME to be set.

EBS - EDI Integration using SOA Suite EBS Adapter
Hi, We would be receiving EDI 850 PO document in Oracle B2B. We want to update this EDI 850 document in EBS. We are using EBS Adapter. But we don't have much idea on how EDI method works in EBS. Couldn't find much references for implementation. Pls. provide some details if you have done this before.
Thanks!Do you have SOA installed and integrated with R12? If not, please see these docs.

Amazon SQS Integration with SOA Suite
Hi,
Is there any way to integrate with Amazon SQS using SOA. Please help me with the possibilities. I'm using SOA Suite PS6.
Thanks
JGunWell I dont think so that amazon provides any third party adapter to connect with oracle soa suite neither oracle provides. But amazon does provide the java API and webservices, So you can use those api's and Implement connectivity in java to integrate both SOA and SQS.

Oracle salesforce Adapter integration in SOA 11.7
I have implemented a scenario given in Chapter-5 of this pdf
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/adapters/documentation/ug-sfdcadapter-ps6-2104970.pdf
I am facing an issue while invoking Salesforce Adapter. My composite has a bpel process which invokes sales force adapter.
I have configured the adapter by following the pdf. I am trying to create an Account.
<bindingFault>
<part name="summary">
<summary>Exception occured when binding was invoked. Exception occured during invocation of JCA binding: "JCA Binding execute of Reference operation 'create' failed due to: Error sending bytes: Unknown exception while transforming request message. ". The invoked JCA adapter raised a resource exception. Please examine the above error message carefully to determine a resolution. </summary>
</part>
<part name="detail">
<detail>Unknown exception while transforming request message.</detail>
</part>
<part name="code">
<code>null</code>
</part>
</bindingFault>Hello,
Users connecting to salesforce using weblogic will have to do one of the
following:
1. Disable Host Name Checking.
2. Upgrade to Weblogic 10.3.6+ and use the "Wildcarded Host Name Verifier"
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/web.1111/e13707/ssl.htm#CHDIEIEE
3. Configure a custom host name verifier:
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/apirefs.1111/e13952/taskhelp/security/ConfigureACustomHostNameVerifier.html
Hope this helps.

Integration with PeopleSoft Applications Using Oracle SOA Suite 11g BPEL
Hi,
I'm integrating BPEL with Peoplesoft FSCM 9.0 Application on tools 8.49 using Oracle SOA Suite 11g. The BPEL invokes the web service method generated from Peoplesoft Component Interface in a synchronuos manner.
I have deployed the BPEL in Oracle SOA Suite 11g using Jdeveloper successfully but I have problem in configuring the BPEL node in Peoplesoft side using Oracle SOA Suite 11g(FMW) . I had done the integration of BPEL with Peoplesoft FSCM 9.0 on tools 8.49 using Oracle SOA Suite 10g earlier successfully by configuring BPEL node properties as follows:
BPEL CONSOLE : http://Host Name:8888/BPELConsole (System with Oracle SOA Suite 10g server for deployment)
BPEL DOMAIN : default
Using this BPEL node configuration, I was able to ping the BPEL console of Oracle SOA Suite 10g from peoplesoft and hence complete the integration successfully.
Now in order to acomplish Business rules and other functionality, the BPEL application has been developed in Oracle SOA Suite 11g using Jdeveloper 11g. This time I'm not able to configure the BPEL node in Peoplesoft for this integration as I'm assuming there is no separate BPEL console in Oracle SOA Suite 11g. All the BPEL deployments are administered in console (11g console used for deployment of BEPL)
http://Host Name:7001/em (System with Oracle SOA Suite 11g server - Fusion Middleware).
So when I Configured the BPEL node property in Peoplesoft as :
BPEL CONSOLE : http://Host Name:7001/em (System with Oracle SOA Suite 11g server for deployment)
BPEL DOMAIN : default
I'm not able to ping the Peoplesoft BPEL node to the Oracle SOA Suite 11g. Hence I'm not able to proceed with my integration.
When I searched the OTN discussion forum on BPEL console for Oracle SOA Suite 11g, all threads point that there is no separate BPEL console unlike Oracle SOA Suite 10g. Also most of the articles for Integration with Peoplesoft Application using SOA 11g do not state any specific configuration setting for property of Peoplesoft BPEL node in order to integrate with BPEL 11g. The examples published in OTN still point towards screen shots of integration using SOA Suite 10g.
So I'm not able to proceed in this regard.
Any help in this regard is highly appreciated.
Thanks in Advance,
Girish

typo errorHi,
I found this document from the Oracle Open World 2009 (maybe you have found it too) :
"Integration with PeopleSoft applications using oracle soa suite 11g BPEL" --> [http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/fmw4apps/peoplesoft/pdf/oow2009-bpel-psft.pdf]
And this could be a little more simple, but have a good step-by-step tutorial.
[http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/fusion_middleware/fusion/soa/BPEL_PS848/OBE_PSFT_BPEL_848.htm]
I think you must read this docs by now, but never come amiss.
Hope this can help you,
By the way, if you can help me with this I'll appreciate it a lot.
