Mysql on maverics server

I use OS 10.9 Maverics Server and want to install Contao CMS which needs Mysql. How can i do it?

Are you looking to just install a newer version of MySQL, or are you looking up upgrade - that is, do you have existing databases that you want to upgrade, or are you just starting out.
Either way your starting point will be the MySQL download page where you can get installers for various versions of Mac OS X.
Upgrading/migrating instructions for converting your existing databases can be found at this page.

  • How to connect Mysql to J2EE server exactly?

    Hi,there
    I would like thank you for offering me your precious opinion in advance.
    I got a problem with installing Mysql database into J2EE server. All I have done is:
    1.Install Mysql and put the Mysql driver,mm.mysql-2.0.4-bin.jar into the directory of J2EE which is j2ee1.3.1/lib.
    2. Set the environment variable for invoking the Mysql driver like
    this,CLASSPATH=.;%JAVA_HOME%\lib\mysql-connector-java-2.0.14-bin;%
    J2EE_HOME%\lib\mysql-connector-java-2.0.14-bin;%JAVA_HOME%\bin;
    3.Modify the content of Server.xml file located in J2EE directory like this:
    <DefaultContext>
    <Resource name="jdbc/mysql" auth="Container"
    type="javax.sql.DataSource" />
    <ResourceParams name="jdbc/mysql">
    <parameter>
    <name>driverClassName</name>
    <value>org.gjt.mm.mysql.Driver</value>
    </parameter>
    <parameter>
    <name>drivername</name>
    <value>jdbc:mysql:localhost:3306:mobiledb</value>
    </parameter>
    </ResourceParams>
    </DefaultContext>
    So far,I have no success in connect Mysql to J2EE server. What am I doing wrong?
    Thank you for your kind help.

    hi, sameer

  • Migrating Data from MySQL to SQL Server 2012

    Hi all,
    I'm Migrating a database from MySQL to SQL Server 2012, using SSMA for MySQL v5.2.1258.  I've got the schema migrated over and have resolved any migration issues (stored procedures / views), but when it comes to migrating over the data I'm just hitting
    a wall.
    None of the data is migrating and when the migration report is displayed every table has a red x against it's Status.  The Output box has the following:
    Data migration operation has finished.
    0 table(s) successfully migrated.
    0 table(s) partially migrated.
    64 table(s) failed to migrate.
    I've seen on the forum that someone else was having the same problem
    (http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sqlservermigration/thread/b835f4b3-3d93-42a4-9b6b-d21d3dfd8dab/)
    I've set the project settings mode to default, still getting the same error and tried using both Client Side Data Migration and Server Side migration, with both giving the same result.  I've tried going through the step-by-step blog as well.
    I am doing something really stupid?  There are 64 tables, so don't really want to try doing exports from each table and importing it into the new database.
    Hope someone can help.
    Cheers
    Alex

    Hello,
    I don’t have suggestions for you, but you can try contacting the SQL Server Migration Assistant (SSMA) Team via e-mail ([email protected])
    to see if they can provide a solution on this scenario.
    Hope this helps.

    Thanks in advance..

    Hi,
    I guess there must be some problem with your App Server Configuration settings:
    Kindly Check if you are using the following ones:
    Driver Name: com.mysql.jdbc.Driver
    Url: jdbc:mysql://[hostname][,failoverhost...][:port]/[dbname][?param1=value1][&param2=value2].....

  • Update of MySQL and SQL Server JDBC Driver does not work in 1.2.1

    Hi,
    always after the update process is started i got the MySQL and SQL Server JDBC driver
    update notification.
    But all the time after i install the update i got the notification again but no errormessage
    that the update was maybe not successful ???
    Frank

    Ok
    then my subject was false
    i always try to update the extensions and now i can see that they are updated on the filesystem but the IDE does not recognize them as updated
    ....\sqldeveloper\sqldeveloper\extensions\oracle.sqldeveloper.thirdparty.drivers.mysql
    is available and new after the update process
    and under
    ...\sqldeveloper\sqldeveloper\tmp\update\oracle.sqldeveloper.thirdparty.drivers.mysql.5239.zip
    the downloaded zip file is also available.
    In the update window the message is that the extension with version 5206 is available
    Maybe that is the problem cause the downloaded files are version 11.1.1.5239
    if you look at the bundle.xml file inside the META-INF directory

  • How do you cluster Maverics server?

    How do you cluster Maverics server?  I have two Mac Minis running Mavericks server that I would like to cluster (mirror) together preferably as load balanced but failover would be the next best thing.  I am not actually using the services of server, but am hosting a streaming application.
    Any ideas?

    In terms of general Mac server 'clustering' Apple used to provide capabilities to do this but sadly killed off all their options in this area some time ago.
    In your case even if Apple still provided those capabilities they would not apply as any streaming application would need to have been written to provide its own clustering capabilities.
    The nearest option you can get to realisitically with Mac servers is to use DNS load-balancing where a load-balancer will 'share' the load between two or more servers and also test a server is live before sending a request to it. The servers need to have some method of having the same data which might mean using a SAN to store the data and Macs can access a SAN as MrHoffman mentioned. However none of Apple's own server services would really benefit from this.
    A hypothetical example that could be achieved would be to have two Mac servers running Apple Software Update Server, you would not and cannot point client Macs to both but you could point client Macs to a DNS load-balancer which would allocate requests to one of the Mac servers. In this case the two Mac SUS servers might indepenently download updates or you might use the same 'folder' on a SAN or you might run some other sync command between the two. In my own case I actually setup two SUS servers in VMware virtual machines using Linux and had them each store their own copies but sync their folders, I had one run at 12am and one at 12pm so updates got downloaded twice a day. The DNS load-balancer then forwarded requests to either of them. (I used Reposado to act as the SUS software.)

  • Upgrading MySQL on Panther Server

    I need to upgrade MySQL on my server running Panther Server (not client) (10.3.9) to at least 4.1 if not 5. Is there are way to get it to install and connect with the web services including the default PHP installation? I've Googled this in every way possible, but I can't find an answer. Your help is desperately needed. Thanks.

    Are you looking to just install a newer version of MySQL, or are you looking up upgrade - that is, do you have existing databases that you want to upgrade, or are you just starting out.
    Either way your starting point will be the MySQL download page where you can get installers for various versions of Mac OS X.

  • How do i install mysql on windows server 2012 r2 using powershell(automate)??

    i have a requirement of installing the mysql server with one click deployment using power shell by passing the parameters needed into the mysql console. can i achieve that ?
    can  anyone help me in doing that?
    thanks in advance.
    Suresh Gaddam

    Hi Suresh,
    This forum is for SCOM related questions, it seems like that you are asking for powershell script to install Mysql. From my point of view, I don't think that using powershell to install Mysql is an easy way, as it is hard to say whether Powershell can get
    information from Mysql install console with some API.
    In addition, for further assistance, please contact MySQL forum and Powershell forum.
    Thanks for your understanding!

  • PHP/MySQL Test/Production Server best practices

    Hello,
         I am currently learning PHP/MySql and have setup a test server to develop on and a production server to go live with. I wanted to know what are the best practices for synchronizing the test server with the production. Should I export the database from the test server and import it to the production server each time I make a change or is there better way to incrementally sync the databases. I am using Dreamweaver to design the web site.
    Thanks,
    Nick

    Thanks, but does this mean that after I go live I should make changes on the production database only and not use the development database, if say I need to add a new table or record(s)?
    Procedure
    1. Take production web site down
    2. Export/Save current database
    3. Make changes to production database
    4. Export/Save new database
    5. Bring production web site up
    Is this correct?

  • Access MySQL Database on Server with PHP Services

    Hi there
    There are lots of tutorials on how to connect to a MySQL database on your local machine but I'd like to access a database on my server.
    When creating a new Flex Project the wizard asks me to define a Web root and a Root URL. I used '/home/ecoflexer/public_html' as Web root and 'http://ecoflexer.com' as Root URL. However, the Web root coudn't be validated. So I've chosen the local folder 'C:\ecoflexer' as Web root. Though it was possibly wrong Flash Builder generated a debug folder at the defined location. After that I went to "Connect to Data/Service" and selected "PHP Service". I tried to generate a sample using the same credentials I use for a standard PHP login script ("Server Port" was left empty). After clicking on "Connect to Database" Zend was installed and returned an error. 'gateway.php' couldn't be found on 'http://ecoflexer.com/testProject-debug/gateway.php'.
    So I went into my local Web root and copied the 'testProject-debug' folder to my server to the destination the previous error mentioned. Then another error occured concerning a Zend file. So I went back and copied the whole 'ZendFramework' folder as well to my server. It connects now successfully to my database. I can chose a table but soon after that the introspection of the service fails. I modified the 'amf_config.ini' by adding 'webroot =/home/ecoflexer/public_html' and 'zend_path =/home/ecoflexer/public_html/ZendFramework/library' but it's still not working. Anithing I've done wrong or forgot to do?
    Cheers!
    ecoFLEXER

    iam doing client server application,the database is on the server,and iam doing the log in part,so i need to access the database to match the entered user name and password?so i should implement the accessing database part on the server side with the above code,right?i didn't test that i will test it now,but i thought that it's a different way

  • FOR UPDATE on MYSQL to SQL SERVER migration

    Dear forum,
    We have an existing piece of software that used MySQL, and we are in the process of migrating said software to SQL Server. All is working well, except when our program tries to execute statements like this :
    getImportEntryLock = getConnection().prepareStatement(
                        "SELECT * FROM ientry WHERE company_code = ? AND year_no = ? AND company_turn = ? AND entry_ref = ? FOR UPDATE");
    This results in this JDBC error:
    com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: Line 1: FOR UPDATE clause allowed only for DECLARE CURSOR.
    After some research, I've learned that SQL Server has issues with FOR UPDATE statements; also, I saw some fixes were due as far back as 2012, but I can find no further information after this point. Ideally, I'd like to leave the SQL in this legacy program
    that I'm migrating well alone, as there are no tests available in the program.
    I'm using SQL Server evaluation 2014, MS JDBC driver vs 4.0.
    Thanks,
    Paul

    >Will updlock function, generally to lock rows until after a transaction is complete?
    Yes.  It is used exactly like FOR UPDATE in Oracle ( I don't know about MySQL).  It opts out of multi-version read concurrency and places a lock on the data read that prevents other sessions from updating the data for the duration of the transaction.

I added it thru deploytool->Tools->Server configuration->Data source->Standard following the instuctions in the help document, either un-jared or not, setting the classpath or/and j2ee_classpath in userconfig.bat and still got the exception when connecting from client.
    Can anyone tell me why.

    Answer of the Second question.
    2. Can you please check the data types of the columns of the MySQL table and test again one by one for which data type and for what data, this error is getting thrown?

  • CS6 Dreamweaver using PHP & MySQL - Delete Record Server Behavior?

    When I try to insert the Delete Record server behavior. I get an error message about a DeleteRecord.js file, which seems to be missing or defective.  I cannot use the server behavior.  I have a file that I developed using CS5, and it does indeed delete the record, but does not proceed to the destination I want.  I cannot change that except in the server behavior, so I'm stuck.  I have noticed that server behaviors seem to disappear without apparent cause, as it seems to have in this case.  I will appreciate any suggestions!  Is there any way to embed a call to a target page manually?  All is working WITHOUT the server behavior appearing, but I want to go to a confirmation display page that shows the record is indeed deleted, and we just return to the (now blank) delete confirmation page.  That'll drive a user bonkers!
    Thanks!
    Delete Record in CS6 Dreamweaver using PHP & MySQL?

    Well, your error message is self-explanatory.
    DW stores ServerBehaviors in 'Configuration' folder in installation directory. If one of the behavior JS files is missing/ corrupt, you'll see the error message you just did.
    I've uploaded a functional, proper version of DeleteRecord.js onto my site for you to download. Here's the link:
    http://www.sudarshan.me/adobeforum/dw/app/behavior-js/DeleteRecord.zip
    Download this file, extract it and put DeleteRecord.js file in your installation directory as follows. If prompted, 'replace' your local copy:
    Mac: Applications > Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 > Configuration > ServerBehaviors > PHP_MySQL
    Windows: C:\Users\Your User Name\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS6\[language]\Configuration\ServerBehaviors\PHP_MySQL
    It should work as expected.
    If that still doesn't solve the problem, reset your DW preferences and cache and try doing it. Follow the instructions here to reset cache: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/494811

  • PHP/MySQL connection / testing server maybe?

    Problem - I'm unable to connect to a PHP database. I'm
    working right now with tutorials from the DW CS3 Bible by Lowery,
    but haven't been able to connect at all. And I wasted weeks trying
    the same thing with an ASP connection.
    The error message I'm getting now is '405 Method not Allowed'
    when working through the connection dialog. I thought PHP/MySQL was
    supposed to be easier & better than ASP/Access?
    In going through the site setup, instructions for setting up
    the site's testing server say 'click test to verify the connection'
    but there's no button to click. What am I missing?
    Is there some kind of easy test script I can attempt, as with
    asp? Problem there was that I could do the 'timetest' sample, but
    nothing else.
    I have gone through setting permissions and creating IUSR_my
    computer name as a user - they seemd to work fine, but I still
    can't connect.
    Thanks anyone, and everyone - my first post regarding
    connection problems was on 8/22 and I feel like I have gotten
    nowhere.

    Have you looked at this tutorial?
