N73 Update - Reply from Nokia Head Office

Please find below the reply I got from Nokia after sending an email to the Chief Executive. It remains to be seen if anything changes.
"With regard to your recent email to Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, I would like to apologize for our delayed response to your E-mails send to us on 11.11 and 20.11. We recently have had technical problems with our UK E-mail support system which have now been resolved. Due to this problem, your mail sent on 11.11 did not reach our support specialists. According to our Nokia helpline team you should have on 22.11. received two email responses from them already. However, I also wanted to personally follow-up the issues you raised in your email.
Thank you for providing us constructive and valuable feedback regarding our customer support and Nokia Software update service in the web. We apologize the confusion created on our communication about N73 software updates. We have gone through in detail the information shared in Nokia web support pages, both in NSU and in discussion forum and recognized that there is room for improving and clarifying the software update related communication and will be implementing a number of communication improvement steps during next weeks.
Concerning software updates for N73, there are actually several N73 software versions existing for different operator networks. We are continuously releasing more and more N73 software versions to Nokia Software Updater (NSU). Unfortunately, the version for your network was not available during the time you tried to update your N73 and the response you received from NSU was not sufficiently explaining this. We are working to improve the visibility to the different available software versions, both within NSU application and through our discussion board.
You can check again today if your N73 software version is now available from the system. In case it's not yet in NSU you can check again in few days to see if it's available then. Alternatively can contact your nearest Nokia Authorized Service Point where a Nokia engineer will be able to confirm the latest version of the software for your device and give you an free-of-charge software update if needed. Your nearest Nokia Authorized Service Point is as follows:

For the record, I don't think I am able to upgrade to the current software version.
My phone model is 05411312 (N73 on UK T-Mobile), and NSU won't let me update beyond v. 3.0704.1.0.1
I really want to be able to upgrade, I'm quite annoyed that I can't add all of the amazing new features that Nokia announced for S60 phones a month ago because of this - I want to try the official MSN client, Music Store, etc. I wouldn't have bothered trying to upgrade the software if it wasn't for trying to add these features.

    This is my experience from Nokia X3-02 and after that from their service ....
    For Nokia X3-02 in bkk, thailand is around 195 us$. 
    This is some inconvenience I found at the first time till NOW .....
    Just after I bought X3-02 on 15th February...... 
    I just picked 2 calls for 30mins each, and on facebook just for a few times during work in evening then battery is empty and again on next day even it was charged 6-8hrs/time. 
    Then I went to power buy (a big electric dealer) and asked for a new battery on 18th February, but still had a same problem. Finally I had to change a new X3-02 on 22nd February.
    That happend in 6days after bought it. ***BUT ITS NOT OVER...!!!! Still got battery problem and more*** 
    I went to Nokia Care on 28th February, and found X3-02 couldnt on wifi even I was in Nokia Care, I showed them and we found the touch screen didnt work too. Couldnt push any bottom.
    Had to switch off only !!!!
    I had to go to Nokia Care in another department store for a few times, and then back to the place that I bought X3-02 for a few times toooo. Do you know what is trouble traffic in BKK and how is far between 2 department stores?  Really wasted my time and took some energy with not good feelings ....!!!
    How much does the COST that I paid for a new mobile, not only MONEY  ...??? 
    I like to stay on Nokia and always recommend to my friends. After these

    I REALLY GIVE UP WITH NOKIA X3-02 ..... I SENT IT BACK TO NOKIA CARE AND REQUEST FOR ANOTHER MODEL INSTEAD.
    I got a few calls from Nokia Head Office Thailand.
    On 4 th March, they called me and we found an agreement for us that I will get Nokia E5. In eveing on the same day he said " I will got E63 instead BECAUSE E5 is quite new model and we still dont get more feedback from customer ... on Wednesday.  
    The recently call is that mobile will ready for me at 4pm. on Friday 11th, March.
    Why they needed more one week to sent a new one to me ?
    Where is the head office of Nokia Thailand...??? Is it in Bkk...??? Or in Finland ...?????
    I bought X3-02 on 15 FEBRUARY 2011 !!!!
    And my new smart phone is at Nokia Care since 28 FEBRUARY...
    What do you think ...with those things that happened to me ?
     I am so DISAPPOINTED ....with their product and service.

    i got E63 with 2 million pixel ONLY and with less function than  X3-02 with 5 million pixel camera and more function...

    I said I want good quality camera and many options even it is old version .... But I got only 2 mpixels + no edit photo with basic smart phone ....

    Nokia Thailand always said "we would be happy to help you" ......
    But only words that I got ...and make me UNHAPPY to have E63 till now. 
    And now here is my question: what would you do in my case ? Or what can Nokia do to make a customer as me to be happy again ?

    I had to open a new thread as in my original post reply I had the audacity to criticise toshiba , comparing their products and services to some brown and smelly stuff so moderators blocked my reply instantly. If only they were as zealous in providing proper help! Anyhow I was saying that I would never buy a Toshiba product again considering the number of faults that all the products seem to show on those forums, or on the facebook page which is quite educating! Especially the attitude of customer service who must lose Toshiba customers for life by the minute. I have seen really bad examples of customer service, but reading those posts on Facebook, and seeing how Toshiba treats customers is fascinating!

  • No firmware update options on Nokia E6-00

    My Nokia E6-00 is currently running firmware v. 021.014 (011-05-26, RM-609), which was on the device when first purchased (SIM free, unlocked). I understand from the Nokia web-site and elsewhere  that there has been at least one subsequent fimware update  (currently v. 22.014) with minor bug fixes.
    However, I don't get offered any such updates, either OTA using the E6's SW updater, or alternativeky via Nokia OVI suite (v. 3.1..1.90) on a Windows7 PC.
    What am I doing wrong?

    2. Country (there are designated firmwares for different countries as this also require the approval of Telecommunication authorities of each country).

  • Software Update Error in Nokia X6 16GB

    I bought my Nokia X-6 on 4th Nov , 2010.
    The same day , i got a update notification from Nokia on "Ovi Music 11.4" , "Ovi Maps 3.4" and "Here and now 2.0". I successfully updated these things
    But after that , everytime I am going to Menu->Application->SW update , i am getting "Refreshing failed.Try again Later".
    I tried going from *#0000# also.
    There while doing check for updates , it is showing "Connection Error".
    My current Software Version is "V 20.0.005" , but i have seen in discussions that V 21 has been released.
    Please let me know , how to solve this problem.

    Yep I got the x6 and can't even update anything .... every time i go to the update screen a pop up screen comes ... it says that sorry the nokia servers are busy you may try again and then pop out .... I tried somthing else i disconnect my internet connection then go to update page it saied you have update then I reconnect my internet then clicked the update then it update the software and when i tried the exact pattern for update softwares when it comes to downloading it just says that instal failed for folowing programms ... does it even possible? i mean ofcourse its a free service but it should have some support costumer to take care you know ... I mean there should be a fix as soon as posible ... i have another for (N95) when it comes to update it says there is no update for your phone despite from that my software version is 10.X.X.X i don't know what to do please somone do somthing i'm seak and tired of getting errors with my phone ... software and OVI > i bet i must try HTC my cousin have it but never get A problem with her software :-l even though i like the nokia phone maybe i should change my brand phone what do you say guys?

    I have this setup in my exchange environment.
    1 DAG with 2 members
    - One member is located in Head Office and the other member is located in DR site. All of the mailbox databases are located only in HO (Plan to add additional second member in HO soon). Now what is the proper way to install windows patches on the
    member in HO? I don't want to move the databases to DR site as much as possible.

    To update the DAG members with new patches, the update process should be managed to prevent all of the DAG members from being offline at the same time.
    To do this, I recommend you move the active mailbox databases off a particular server so that it can be patched, and if necessary rebooted, without causing any downtime for mailbox users on that database.

    I`m getting error message like "None of the apps in your project can be activated in the target. The manifest file of one or more apps contain API sets or Office applications that are not supported by
    the target Office client. To debug those apps, update manifest files to exclude any unsupported API sets or Office applications, and then start the project again. Alternatively, you can debug your apps by using Office 365 as a target." when when
    updating the JavaScript API for Office and manifest schema files in your Visual Studio project from version 1.0 to 1.1 in manifest file though i have added host elements.
    any help in this regard is highly appreciated

    Hi Satosh Sutar,
    Based on the description, you got the error message when you update the apps from version 1.0 to 1.1.
    From the error message, it seems the menifest include some settings no allowed in the new version. Would you mind sharing more detail about how you update the project?

    Last night I got a text from "My Nokia" which said:
    "A software update for your device is available from Nokia. Visit www.nokia.com/softwareupdate or your local Nokia support pages for more details."
    I've been waiting for v6.xx for my phone for a while now, so I got excited and plugged my phone up and tried to update. Nope, v4.84 is the latest!
    Just to make double sure, I checked the URL supplied in the text, and put my product code in - and it too told me v4.84 was the latest.
    I can't download the phone software with my phone, because I get the message "Update not allowed. Contact service provider."

  • The Latest Update from Nokia is NO GOOD.

    Ok just updated my phone with the latest update from Nokia(the special one).
    And the results:
    1. 15min - 100mAh lost in standby 
    2.Audio quallity is still no good. I can still hear noises when i plug the jack. And if i recieve notification the sound quality is like white noise for a few seconds.
    3.Charging is so slow. Its charging 1mAh per minute... 
    Before the update my battery was performing better!
    Nokia Lumia is another bad toy Made in China.

And several have reported normal functionality of the phone after getting a replacement, others have reported an improvement after updates and unfortunately some are like yourself, who are still suffering after both a replacement and getting the updates. So clearly you cannot lump all cases together, since they are not the same. I would suggest that in your case you still regretfully have a hardware issue and in your place I would go for another replacement.

  • After updation to v50 from nokia my menu animation...

    i purchased nokia 5800XM 2months back .. i updated it from v40 to FW  v50 ...
    it was working fine ...but just 2 days back my battery became hot .. i was not calling or dong anything ...
    then i went to nokia care .. they told me that it has virus which makes the battery hot !!
    is it possible ??
    then they said that there are issues with downloading it directly from internet ...
    then they formatted and updated my mobile to v 50 ... but now there was many things changed ...there is no animation when i press the middle button to menu... it opens directly !!
    moreover for dialing also no animation and for phone book entry also .. then i said this to nokia care but they said the animation is not there in v50...
    plzzz help me out .. i liked that animation so much ...
    is it because they might have deleted system files from my mobile !!! plzzz help !!

    never mind. sorry mate i don't have any experiences about GPS system. but would like to give you some advices. you must go outside to use GPS. satellites will not detect indoor device. make sure that your not covered GPS receiver. see the attachment. it shows GPS internal area of the phone.

    I was trying to update my Nokia C3 software from Nokia OVI Suite when it failed and has left my mobile in "test mode" rendering it non-usable at the present moment. Please help restore!

    Sorry..but being an S40 device, you need to visit Nokia Care if the phone doesn't start after you remove the battery for a couple of minutes, insert it back and try switching ON ...

    Hi, I have downloaded Kaspersky from Nokia Market, but can download a newer version directly from Kaspersky's website. How do you remove the program from Nokia Market Overview?

    My device is a Lumia 1520.  I did consider uninstalling it but not reinstalling it  It's a problem with the app, not my installation of it.
    After what Weather Channel did to the app I just didn't think it was up to Nokia's standards.  Just check the app reviews for the past month.

    I have created two Vendor master and assigned one vendor as Head office in other,I have tax code for the plant vendor material combinatio for which one vendor 5% VAT is maintained and other vendor I have maintained 2% cst now while creating A MIRO for the PO raised for the vendor of other vendor system is bringing the other party as invoicing party but the tax becomes 5% vat and 2% cst what may be wrong

    I am facing a unique problem. Problem is related to Head Office &
    Branch relationship. When i post a document through FB70 (FI manual
    Sales Booking) system is updating Head office and post the document
    which is correct. We can view the particular transaction though FBL5N
    report for Head office customer.
    Now if i book sales through Sales Order ie SD Module, System is not
    Updating Head office customer in the Accounting Document.We can view
    Accounting Document in Branch Customer only using FBL5N report. when we
    run FBL5N for Head Office Customer, it is not showing billing document.
    We have maintained Head Office field in Branch Customer master data.
    We have maitained Branch as SP / BP / PY / SH under partner function
    under Sales Area Tab of Branch Customer Master data.
