N80 Model Number Question

Hi to all, could anybody answer some doubts I have regarding the version of my N80 is: Soft: V 4.0623.0.41 (not the last, but could not upgrade via NSU like many others) - 26-07-2006 - RM-92 (what is the meaning of this 92?) - Nokia N80 (19)(what is the meaning of the 19) - 0528530jn13ad (this is listed as model number, I suppose that the really model is 0528530, right?) Thanks in advance.

I'm afraid one of the other more knowledgeable users will have to tell you what all the other bits and bobs of data mean as I don't know either, but what I can tell you is that if you bought your mobile as part of an upgrade package or with a SIM from a network provider (e.g. Orange, Vodafone etc.) then the firmware that it will be running will be customised for use with that particular network.
Therefore the version numbers will be different to those users who bought their phone directly from a reseller or Nokia without a SIM - such phones will generally always have a later version of the firmware than the "branded" phones purchased in conjunction or via a network provider, as the firmware will have to be customised/authorised for release with the network provider before being made available via the NSU.
This process is notoriously slow and some providers take substantially longer to authorise new versions of firmware than other network providers.
Hope this helps on one particular query you had !
Regards,
Edward

  • Recently my macbook charger died and I purchased from a third party seller a new charger that has the same amperage and voltage listed, but different model number. my question is should I be worried, or is it all right?

So recently my model number A1184 charger for my mac book pro died and I purchased a new charger online. They sent me a different charger, a model number S165365, that has the same amperage and voltage listed. my concern is whether it is okay to swap one out for the latter?

Is this your charger you got?

I suppose it's OK, though if I were you, I get original stuff even if it's expensive.

  • Satellite Pro A300D - What is the model number for the keyboard?

My husband managed to dislodge a keycap on my keyboard, and broke the white scissor clip that holds hit on...(don't ask me how)
He spoke to the authorised service centre here in Norway, and they sent us replacement scissor clips (actually they sent an old non-functioning keyboard) but the clips are of a different design to the ones on my laptop.
I was wondering if anyone has an idea of the model/serial number of the keyboard used in the Satellite Pro A300D-151 (PSAK9E) so I can get the correct replacement part.
I really don't want to have to replace the whole keyboard when it's just 1 of the scissor clips that is broken...the laptop is only 5 months old.
Here are some photos of the scissor clip in question & the where it attaches to the keyboard (sorry about the quality)

    Hi
Sorry buddy but its not possible to exchange some single keys on a keyboard so in this case you must replace the complete keyboard. But normally this should not be so difficult.
Either you exchange the keyboard yourself or you sent the notebook to the authorized service provider.
The model number for the keyboard is not known to me but contact your ASP!! They can order all Toshiba parts and they should know the right part number.
    Bye

  • I have purchased an Iphone 4 in Dubai two years ago. The model number is MC319LL. And unfortunately, I attempted to upgrade it online to a newer version 5.0.1(9A405) but right away my sim card was blocked. I can no longer use the telephone.

    Dear Sir:
Two years ago I have purchased an Iphone 4 here in Carrefour Supermarket, Dubai UAE. The model number is MC319LL. Unfortunately last November 2011, I attempted to upgrade the OS to 5.0.1 but rightaway, my sim card(Etisalat UAE service provider) was blocked. As a result, I can no longer use the telephone function. I just found out recently that this model number .i.e.MC319LL is to be used for AT&T. My question is, how can I restore my unit to work as a celphone? And why is it that when I upgraded it, it was blocked. Was it illegal to sell this phone in the UAE market?
    Thanks a lot.
    Kathleen Jewel

You purchased a "hacked" iPhone(hacked to unlock it) from a non-official source for iPhones. Unfortunately, that's the risk you take when you purchase from a non-official source. There is no way to get your phone officially unlocked, & all warranty & support has been voided. Sorry, but you don't have any good choices here. Your best bet is to go back to Carrefour Supermarket & get your money back, then purchase an iPhone from an official source. If they won't give you your money back, have them "fix" your phone...they will have to "hack" it again. Good luck.

  • What's the model number for my HP tablet

HP provides a type of model name near the screen of your tablet, but this name or number might not be sufficient to get proper support for your tablet. These names or numbers might represent a series of tablets that look similar but have different options and parts.
Having the exact model number is important for software and driver downloads, product updates, helpful documents and technical support for your HP tablet.
HP Tablets- How Do I Find My Model Number? shows you how to find that exact model number  you need, which is generally on the side of the product.
For example,  here is where you can find the model number for the Slate 7.
The numbers after P/N (Product Number), give you the information you are looking for.

Are you typing on the tablet that you are asking about?  The Forum has already identified it as an HP TouchPad!
Go to the Settings Tab, then Device Info.  There you will find the model number (aka "Product Number")

  • Universal Dock Model Number

I have just purchased an Apple Universal Dock (with remote), to be used to connect my Nano (and soon iPhone 3G) to a pair of Audioengine A5 active speakers.
The dock I've purchased has a model number MB125G/A.
Browsing the net, I've found the Universal Dock with model number MB125G/B.
Any body know the difference between the A and the B model?
I've tried phoning Apple tech. support but they couldn't answer the question.
I just want to make sure that I've not just purchased an out-of-date model.

It seems, percentage of the battery level is always not correct (may change suddenly ± ~30 %). I suppose, I already did this procedure that you mentioned a few times not specially and it was no change. It is strange that even changing the battery did not solve incorrect level indication. Notwithstanding this is not so important problem, I can live with this. Fast drain of the battery is the biggest problem, which is not acceptable at all.

  • Systems Machine and Model Number. Any permanent solution ?

Like many purchasers of refurbished ThinkPads, I find my Machine (2007) and Model (WUK) was not registered into the Systems Board by the technician during refurbishment. The result is that ThinkVantage Tool " Update and Drivers" cannot recognize this ThinkPad, therefore no updates resulting "Error 75".
Solving this issue by renaming the HKEY (TP-79__ which is incorrect) to "2007WUK", but this is only temporary, it reverts back to TP-79__ after reboot which basically defeats Schedule Updates. To be able to input the Machine and Model Number into the Systems Board, it is necessary to use System Machine Maintenance Disc which is not readily available to us Users, Software download was also withdrawn from Lenovo Site.
It is inconvenient to edit the Registry every time in order to check updates, therefore I feel Lenovo is denying us full accessibility to the product they are selling.
Question:- Is there a solution to fix this issue to permanently register the machine and model number into the system without sending the product back to Maintenance/Repairs ?
Or is this a necessity due to company procedure for extra revenue ?

Lenovo doesn’t release a whole lot of updates, especially for the older models. So you might be able to just bypass the limitation by bookmarking the downloads and drivers page for your specific machine, and checking back for new updates once a month or so.
Definitely not a ‘true’ solution, but it’s one way to ensure that you’re getting the updates you need without having to dig deeper into the system.

  • X301 post BIOS / Model Number update System Time problems

    Dear community,
I recently updated my BIOS using the thinkvantage flash BIOS utility for no reason other than it appeared on the update utility. I also updated the model number, once again for no real reason other than update pleasure. Now, everything works perfectly fine on the system, and I have no problems EXCEPT:
I use New York Times Adobe Air product called "Times Reader". Since the update, when I try to log into the Times Reader I get an error that states "Authentication Error. Check that your system time is set correctly." In the pre-boot set up screen the time seems to be set right, and in the windows utility the time is set correctly. So my questions is,
after a BIOS flash / Model # update, does the system time function need some re-boot / update?
    Thanks!

Well I still dunno what the problem was.  It seemed as if the system would have to be running for a day or two before it would start to speed up, as if it was actually gaining a few milliseconds cumulatively every second...
Anyway, through other testing (OC & such) I flashed to 1.5B5 and it is running pretty good, and seems to have fixed the time problem.
On a side note, 1.5B5 is the first BIOS that actually makes Cool 'N Quiet work (to underclock to 1GHz at idle & dynamically OC when needed).
If anyone has experienced this time issue, please post findings!  For now, it's fixed for me, so I'm not going to worry about it

  • How to locate your Vaio Model Number

In order to get the best support you can from fellow users of the forum it's important to always quote the model number when you have a question.
The method for locating your model number depends on when the product was released. On very old models (released before Summer 2000) the computer information and compliance label (located on the bottom of the notebook case or the back of the desktop case) indicates the actual model / product name. For all more recent Vaios (models released Fall 2000 and later) the model name can be found on a small label located in one of the following places:
    Notebook Computers:
    * On the bezel (frame) of the LCD display.
    * On the LCD hinge.
    * At the top left or top right of the keyboard.
    Desktop Computers:
    * On the front of the computer
    * On the bezel (frame) of the LCD display for all-in-ones.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

We're just posting this as a reminder as we've been getting a lot of posts with no model number quoted recently. Also, many users have been quoting the chassis part number instead of the model number - if your notebook computer is a more recent model year than 2005 the model number will not begin with PCG - it will begin with VGN or VPC.

  • HT204319 Why don't we list model number with this information rather than the month the model was released? e.g. MacBook 2,1 or 5,2 or whatever.

Why don't we list model number with this information rather than the month the model was released?
    e.g. MacBook 2,1 or 5,2 or whatever.

Generally, Apple refers to it's systems by what part of the year they are released, ie early - mid - late.  Some people do provide the model number when they post questions, however, generally, the time of year and year released equals the model number.

  • Missing printer model number tag

I am trying to install a printer driver on my new computer but the model number tag is missing from my printer. The first time I connected the two an auto download installed for model "hp LaserJet 1300 PCL 5". The icon does not look like my printer. The driver allows me to print but only one copy at a time. Is there a way to find this using the product number (Q1334A) and/or serial number? Thanks!
