Name Server Path

Hi All,
I've installed Sneak preview and installed JDI on it. By default the name server path is set to http://localhost:50000/sld/cimom
now i want to replace the "localhost" with the actual hostname.
can anybody tell me were can i change this?
Thanks in advance
Karthik

Hi Pascal,
Thanks for ur reply.
I found it, changed it and restarted the J2EE Engine but the changes did not take effect.
pascal, i have one more issue while importing the ESS WebDynpro Applications in NWDS. I installed JDI and made the configuration I'm able to see the tracks in the NWDS DC Perspective, when i select the Dev Track for ESS and choose finish i'm getting the following error:
Import configuration failed:Could not create mountpoint for SC in compartment sap.com_SAP_ESS_1: Could not create remote path /dtr/ws/ESSTrack/sap.com_SAP_ESS/dev/inactive/SCs/sap.com/SAP_ESS/_comp/TopLevelDCs/ (Internal Server Error).
it says that "cannot create the folder in the remote system" and u can find this issue as a seperate posing.
Import Development Configuration Failed: Internal Server Error
can u throw some light on this.
Thanks in advance

  • Flat file connection: The file name "\server\share\path\file.txt" specified in the connection was not valid

I'm trying to execute a SSIS package via SQL agent with a flat file source - however it fails with Code: 0xC001401E The file name "\server\share\path\file.txt" specified in the connection was not valid.
It appears that the problem is with the rights of the user that's running the package (it's a proxy account). If I use a higher-privelege account (domain admin) to run the package it completes successfully. But this is not a long-term solution, and I can't
see a reason why the user doesn't have rights to the file. The effective permissions of the file and parent folder both give the user full control. The user has full control over the share as well. The user can access the file (copy, etc) outside the SSIS
    package.
Running the package manually via DTExec gives me the same error - I've tried 32 and 64bit versions with the same result. But running as a domain admin works correctly every time.
I feel like I've been beating my head against a brick wall on this one... Is there some sort of magic permissions, file or otherwise, that are required to use a flat file target in an SSIS package?

    Hi Rossco150,
I have tried to reproduce the issue in my test environment (Windows Server 2012 R2 + SQL Server 2008 R2), however, everything goes well with the permission settings as you mentioned. In my test, the permissions of the folders are set as follows:
    \\ServerName\Temp  --- Read
    \\ServerName\Temp\Source  --- No access
    \\ServerName\Temp\Source\Flat Files --- Full control
I suspect that your permission settings on the folders are not absolutely as you said above. Could you double check the permission settings on each level of the folder hierarchy? In addition, check the “Execute as user” information from job history to make
sure the job was running in the proxy security context indeed. Which version of SSIS are you using? If possible, I suggest that you install the latest Service Pack for you SQL Server or even install the latest CU patch.

Index could not be created; creating index failed: TREX Name Server (including back-up servers) is down or not accessable. (Errorcode 7217)
for the above error i need to configure the trex name server using  TREX Configuration in the J2EE Engine  in j2ee visual administrator .
can any one tell me the clear path that where to configure the above and where j2ee visual administrator installed how to configure the name server
    awaiting for replies
    regards
    ganesh

    Hi Ganesh,
In order to access the Visual Administrator, go to Start > Programs > SAP J2EE Engine > Visual Administrator. After you login, you will see 2 nodes i.e. Dispatcher and Server. Expand the Server node. Then go to "Services" and expand it. Then go all the way down to "TREX Service". Then on the right hand side, go to the property "nameserver.address" where you will key in "tcpip://<nameserver>:<port>". Then hit "Update" and click on the "Save" button. Then when you go to TRex Monitor, you should be able to see the Name Server running. Hope this helps.

Here is a sample that maybe useful.

  • Regarding finding of word in a string of Application Server Path

    Hi All,
I have issue related to finding a certain <b>file name(S)</b> from given <b>Application Server Path</b>.
    Here is the actual issue:
In my Selection-Screen i have one field by the name of <b>Application Server Path</b> - /pw/data/erp/D5S/pp/down/eppi0720.txt
Like wise he might enter diffrent file name(s) (or) diffrent pat(s) as per requirement.
Here my requirement is i need to find file discarding path in to one variable - Remember path might also differ also file name might also differ.
Is there any <b>Keyword/Command</b> by which we can findout only <b>filename</b> from the <b>path</b>!
I think with <b>'/'</b> operator we can solve this issue.
If any body knows solution please post.

  • FM for MatchCode to get Server path-file ?

    Hi
I have used a FM  (F4_FILENAME) for make a match code
to set for file names, and this FM shows the computer directories and files to select one.
I need some FM like that, but for the Server (not the PC).
Does somebody knows a FM wich allows me to navigate in Server paths and Files and select one file ?
    Thanks
    Frank

    Hi Frank
I dont think any special authorizations are required for executing this FM.
Can you let us know the OS of the other system.
Also check if FM: <b>F4_FILENAME_SERVER</b> can help you on both.

  • Asynchronous reserve finally failed: missing name server configuration

    Hi,
can anybody give me a hint why we get these errors?
"asynchronous reserveFinally failed: missing name server configuration, no logon known -> operation will be retried name reservation : name server=http://sapcoe01.bbn.hp.com:50000/,  category=SAP_DevelopmentComponentName, name=hp.com/appl/tax, reservationKey=63415681, state=FINALIZE_PENDING"
The development objects are listed in SLD with status PRERES. The Name Server location is configured in DTR with the logon data. The name server is also listed in the development configuration.
Where else could be the cause for this error?
    Many thanks for any hints!

    Hi Martin,
Here you can see the *_PENDING items: http://<host>:50000/dtr/sysconfig/support/NameReservationList
And here you can configure the name server: http://<host>:50000/dtr/system-tools/administration/NameServerConfiguration
The solution is to define your name server a second time with a slightly different URL. The first entry you already defined probably uses the fully qualified hostname, e.g. <i>http://<host>.mycompany.com:50000/sld/cimom</i>. Define the same name server again but <b>without the domain</b> and <b>without the /sld/cimom path</b>, e.g. <i>http://<host>:50000/</i>. Actually it should correspond to what's shown in the error message, e.g. "operation will be retried name reservation : name server=<b>http://<host>:50000/</b>,". When you click Save Configuration, the pending items in the queue will be processed. The only problem we have left is that "after some time" the 2nd entry we just defined dissapears and we need to configure it again (and again and again...)
    Kind regards,
    Sigiswald

You are getting this message because the WFR web server is trying to access the project file in a directory that is not valid on that server. I assume that path is correct on the Designer machine but the web server is on a different machine?
Assuming the project file is on a file server, you should share that folder then open the project in Designer via the UNC path to the share. Then, go to the Options menu and select the Users, Groups and Roles... option. On the Users tab of the Project Authentication dialog, ensure that the Allow Database Authentication option is checked, then click the Export to Database... button. That will create an entry in the database for that project pointing to the UNC path instead of the local path, so the web server should then be able to access it (provided you have assigned sufficient permissions on the share).
Alternatively, you could copy the project folder structure to the web server on the same path as it is on the Designer machine. This should work but will cause issues for ongoing administration of the project, as you will need to keep the copy on the web server synchronized with that on the Designer machine. I wouldn't recommend doing this.

  • Host name (server name)

Who can tell me what the host name (server name) is that I need to use when I add my Apple e-mail address on my iPhone?
I already have a hotmail.com address on my iPhone. So I wanted to add my Apple [email protected] e-mail address.
    Thank you.

    Hi,
Even I faced same issue and able to discover it. One of the reasons for Axis "faultString: (400)No Host matches server name localhost" is due to invalid/wrong TargetEndpointAddress. Please check the TargetEndpointAddress URL in call.setTargetEndpointAddress( endpointURL ), endpointURL should be your service published path (.wsdl file).
    Cheers!

  • Ibm Visual age 3.5 Persistence Name Server with Oracle 8.1.7

    Hello every one!
Iam facing a problem with visualage 3.5 persistence name server with Oracle DB. I configured PNS with oracle driver (thin driver).
I could start the pns server, Servlet Engine.
I loaded my application with PNS and oracle thin driver is not executing any queries.
Without PNS, directly interacting with Oracle DB thru JDBC also works fine.
Has anyone tried to use PNS with Oracle successfully?
    Thanks
    Keerthi

    hello there,
check these things in u r mac before launching PNS..
1: Is OracleDriver is there in the path i mean in the PNS path..

  • Server Path for iCal users

I hope this doesn't come off as a dumb question... and I'm not really sure how to ask it.
The server path for users in iCal are found at /principals/_uids_/really long string of random characters. Is this correct? Shouldn't they be found at /principals/_uids_/username
Is something miss-configured on the server? Or am I missing something?

If you're using a Snow Leopard client, you should not need to enter a path, only the credentials and server name (if you specify the calDAV service).
For 10.5 clients, I had to use:
    http://server.domain.com:8008/prinicpals/users/usershortname
    or for secure:
    https://server.domain.com:8443/prinicpals/users/usershortname
If you have to use the <uid> to make it work, you're in a world of hurt. As I understand it, that directory tracks individual events for the calDAV service, not the complete calendar.
    Good luck.
