Native Format Schema
I have a Native Format Schema that i developed outside of Native Format builder. Is their a way i can test it outside of NFB?
I don't want to go through the File Adapter wizard whenever i make changes to the Native Format Schema.
I found an answer, it was in the icon appears as a cog, on the right, with caption "define schema for native format".

File Adapter fixed length Native format Builder schema not reading the data as expected
Hi
We are using a File Adapter for reading a fixed length data. Using the schema we are able to read the file but the places are incorrect. Following is the schema that we used and the payload.
At the last you can find our expected read of data how it should be.
With out the record type code we are not even reading the file. Hope there should be a correction in the schema. Please suggest
Schema that we are using:

I have JDev 11..1.1.3.0
The problem might be with the version of the SOA extensions you have installed.... -
Im reading a file from a service and transforming the data and writing them into a file through the external reference using a Mediator component.
I have no problem while building or deploying.
But while executing I get an error as follows:
Non Recoverable System Fault :
Exception occured when binding was invoked. Exception occured during invocation of JCA binding: "JCA Binding execute of Reference operation 'WriteAppointmentRequestInLogFile' failed due to: Translation Error. Translation Error. Error while translating message to native format. Please make sure that the payload for the outbound interaction conforms to the schema. ". The invoked JCA adapter raised a resource exception. Please examine the above error message carefully to determine a resolution.
My input is a File Adpater Read operation and output is File Adapter Write operation.

Just in case if you are aware, Im trying the example in Lucas Jellema's book Chapter 7 and Im getting the error there in the first example project.
I have seen few very old threads on this problem in the forum but none of them had any answers so opening up a new one.
Thanks.Your transformation with for-each look is incorrect.
This is what you have right now:
<ns1:AppointmentRequestsLog>
<xsl:for-each select="/imp1:doctorAppointmentRequestRoot/imp1:doctorAppointmentRequest">
<ns1:AppointmentRequest>
<ns1:C1>
<xsl:value-of select="xp20:current-date()"/>
</ns1:C1>
<ns1:C2>
<xsl:value-of select='substring-before("doctor1234_20120926_helloworld","_")'/>
</ns1:C2>
<ns1:C3>
<xsl:value-of select="/imp1:doctorAppointmentRequestRoot/imp1:doctorAppointmentRequest/imp1:C2"/>
</ns1:C3>This is the correct way to write for-each within XSLT:
<ns1:AppointmentRequestsLog>
<xsl:for-each select="/imp1:doctorAppointmentRequestRoot/imp1:doctorAppointmentRequest">
<ns1:AppointmentRequest>
<ns1:C1>
<xsl:value-of select="xp20:current-date()"/>
</ns1:C1>
<ns1:C2>
<xsl:value-of select='substring-before("doctor1234_20120926_helloworld","_")'/>
</ns1:C2>
<ns1:C3>
<xsl:value-of select="imp1:C2"/>
</ns1:C3>Also, check the flow trace in the EM console for the instance which errored out and paste here the data which is being sent to the FileWrite Adapter. Also, you need to ensure that any elements which are defined as xs:int should not have empty string as values. For example in your write schema C3 has int. So you should map C3 in XSLT like following:
<xsl:choose>
<xsl:when test="imp1:C2 and string-length(imp1:C2) > 0">
<ns1:C3>
<xsl:value-of select="imp1:C2"/>
</ns1:C3>
</xsl:when>
<xsl:otherwise>
<ns1:C3>0</ns1:C3>
</xsl:otherwise>
</xsl:choose> -

File Adapter Wizard - Native Format Builder - no spaces in header?
My project uses a vendor supplied, delimited text file. The first row of the file is a header, followed by data rows. The problem is that the header elements contain spaces, Which are not acceptable by the Native Format Builder.
Has anyone experienced this before and know of a good work-around? Or, is this a known issue?You can make use of the attribute "headerLines" in the top level "schema" tag. It would look something like this nxsd:headerLines="1".
This will skip first header line and will start from line number 2.
More Info here : http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/integration.1111/e10231/nfb.htm#CHDBECJI
Hope it helps. -
How to split a file by using Native Format Builder?
Hi all,
Please help me with this issue.
In this project we need to split a file to save in the db.
Following is the sample code and I would like to split this from 'BOH--------------' to 'BOT---------------' (as in BOLD)
But as you can see sometimes 'BOT' line comes up multiple times so I need to skip few 'BOT's until I meet new 'BOH' line.
I guess I have to use complex type in Native Format Builder, but I'm not sure how to..
Please help me with this situation.
Thanks in advance.

Edited by: 964067 on Oct 14, 2012 11:26 PMHi,
Firstly please ensure that the file that you are reading is bound to have a format of some sort.
I will relate this to one of the requirement we did it in previous projects.
We have a requirement to read a csv file coming in:
1) It will be having records for Header (ODH) and Detail (ODL)
2) The Header and Detail records will be repeated 'N' number of times in the input file.
The schema we used it something as below to poll the CSV file:
<xsd:schema xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:nxsd="http://xmlns.oracle.com/pcbpel/nxsd"
xmlns:tns="http://TargetNamespace.com/ReadCSV" targetNamespace="http://TargetNamespace.com/ReadCSV"
elementFormDefault="qualified" attributeFormDefault="unqualified" nxsd:parseBom="true"
nxsd:version="NXSD" nxsd:stream="chars" nxsd:encoding="US-ASCII">
<xsd:element name="Package">
<xsd:complexType>
<xsd:choice minOccurs="1" maxOccurs="unbounded" nxsd:choiceCondition="terminated" nxsd:terminatedBy=",">
<xsd:element name="Header" nxsd:conditionValue="BOH">
<xsd:complexType>
<xsd:sequence>
<xsd:element name="RecordAction" type="xsd:string" minOccurs="0" nxsd:style="terminated"
nxsd:terminatedBy="," nxsd:quotedBy="""/>
<xsd:element name="VisitType" type="xsd:string" minOccurs="0" nxsd:style="terminated"
nxsd:terminatedBy="," nxsd:quotedBy="""/>
<xsd:element name="OrderAction" type="xsd:string" minOccurs="0" nxsd:style="terminated"
nxsd:terminatedBy="," nxsd:quotedBy="""/>
<xsd:element name="Route" type="xsd:int" minOccurs="0" nxsd:style="terminated"
nxsd:terminatedBy="${eol}" nxsd:quotedBy="""/>
</xsd:sequence>
</xsd:complexType>
</xsd:element>
<xsd:element name="Lines" nxsd:conditionValue="BOD">
<xsd:complexType>
<xsd:sequence>
<xsd:element name="RecordAction" type="xsd:string" minOccurs="0" nxsd:style="terminated"
nxsd:terminatedBy="," nxsd:quotedBy="""/>
<xsd:element name="OrderCode" type="xsd:string" minOccurs="0" nxsd:style="terminated"
nxsd:terminatedBy="," nxsd:quotedBy="""/>
<xsd:element name="ShippingUnitNumber" type="xsd:int" minOccurs="0" nxsd:style="terminated"
nxsd:terminatedBy="," nxsd:quotedBy="""/>
<xsd:element name="ProdOptDesc" type="xsd:string" minOccurs="0" nxsd:style="terminated"
nxsd:terminatedBy="${eol}" nxsd:quotedBy="""/>
</xsd:sequence>
</xsd:complexType>
</xsd:element>
</xsd:choice>
</xsd:complexType>
</xsd:element>
</xsd:schema>
So the approach we followed is as below:
1) Design two DB tables. One to put the header records in Header table
2) Put the detail records in Trailer table.
3) Poll from these two tables to trigger next business requirements.
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Deepak. -

RoshHi,
We can create an xsd like following:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<xsd:schema targetNamespace="http://myorg.com/integration" elementFormDefault="qualified" attributeFormDefault="unqualified" nxsd:encoding="ASCII" nxsd:stream="chars" nxsd:version="NXSD" xmlns:tns="http://myorg.com/integration" xmlns:nxsd="http://xmlns.oracle.com/pcbpel/nxsd" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
<xsd:element name="file" type="xsd:string" nxsd:style="terminated" nxsd:terminatedBy="${eof}">
</xsd:element>
</xsd:schema>
And import it into your BPEL process and before calling write partnerlink assign whatever value you want to "file" element.
I hope this helps you.
Thanks,

Native Format Builder in File Adapter - NXSD:ConditionValue
Hello,
I am trying to build a schema using the Native Format Builder in the File Adapter. I am using the option "Multiple Records of different types"

</ns1:order>Hi Vlad,
Thanks for the Idea, I tried using the Choice Condition and I am not sure what would be the condition, in my case, there are 3 record, the value in SKU will vary and differentiate the records. The first record (s) (based on no.of items in an order), the value in SKU column will be any value (alpha/numeric/alphanumeric), the next record will have "DS" in the SKU column and the next one will will "Shipping" in the SKU column. The example does look for "Yes" or "No" starting from the "70"th character in the line. I am not sure how to accommodate the condition to check whether the column* "SKU" contains an Item Number or "DS" or "Shipping". The poistion of the column "SKU" may vary every time, so I am not sure how to add a condition to verify that.
Here is the Schema when I used "Delimited" in the choice condition,

File Adapter - Native format Builder button not Appearing
Hi,
When We go through the file adapter wizard and on the screen where we define the schema, there is a button 'Native format builder'. But on Jdeveloper Version - 11.1.1.3.0, it is not appearing. Has this been removed in this release?
regards,
Rajeshat step 8 of 9 of the file adapter wizard, the icon appears as a cog, on the right, with caption "define schema for native format".
I have JDev 11..1.1.3.0
The problem might be with the version of the SOA extensions you have installed.... -
File Adapter - Native Format Builder
Dear All,
In File Adapter - Native Format Builder exists option "Number of rows to skip". But this means how many rows from beginning of file to skip,
can somebody help to define how to skip n rows from the end of file.
Thanks in advance!There is no option available to skip rows from end. But if you know how many rows are there in the file and how many you want to skip, then you can use the option of "Number of data rows to process" and process only number of rows you want to actually process.

Raw files from the new Nikon D810 will not open with either Photoshop CS5.1 or Lightroom 4. When will a real Adobe solution be available to work with Raw (NEF) files in their native format, using CS5.1 and LR4?
Clarification: this is a user forum; you are not addressing Adobe here.
The answer to your question as phrased is: never.
CS5 is history and it is not longer supported. There will not be any updates or bug fixes for CS5.
You need to convert the raw NEF files from your D810 to raw DNGs using the free, standalone Adobe DNG Converter 8.6 RC (beta), the first version ever to support that camera.. -
I have trimmed some R3D flies in Premier Pro and I want to export the trimmed versions in full res to my hard drive, i.e. I want to export the files so that they end up on my hard drive in the same native format. I don’t see an option for this in Premier Pro when I go to export. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!Premiere Pro
Aperture has the ability to work with files in their existing location. They are called "referenced masters." When you import images, you should select the "In their current location" in the "Store Files:" drop down box. Have a read of the documentation for full specifics. Unsure how you can resolve your duplication; might be some work but next time have a read of the manual first
Information for versions is stored in the Aperture database (library file). The masters can be inside the library file itself, or they can be somewhere else. -
Export in native format or reference
Hi all. I've ingested AVCHD, and am doing very simple cutting, no filters. I'd like to export a movie in the native format, rather than in ProRes. In the former FCP version, one could of course save as a QT movie, reference or self-contained. But now the only option seems to be to transcode. I'd like to avoid that. Does anyone have a suggestion? If there were a workaround to save as a reference movie, I could use QT to save as a self-contained movie then.
Thanks much.
JeremyIs there ever a need to output a self contained movie when you are working with dvd studio pro as your final destination?
Understanding that this is a philosophical debate, I'll argue for the No side.
Of course, if I'm exporting out to DVDSP, I export unrendered timelines directly to Compressor when it comes to final output. I use reference movies when it comes to the application-sharing that you're talking about. Unless you're sending movies to other stations.
Self-contained movies, in my opinion, take up way too much space and consume too much time to output to. At least in workflows that I'm constrained to follow...
