File Adapter - Native format Builder button not Appearing
Hi,
When We go through the file adapter wizard and on the screen where we define the schema, there is a button 'Native format builder'. But on Jdeveloper Version - 11.1.1.3.0, it is not appearing. Has this been removed in this release?

at step 8 of 9 of the file adapter wizard, the icon appears as a cog, on the right, with caption "define schema for native format".
I have JDev 11..1.1.3.0
The problem might be with the version of the SOA extensions you have installed....

In File Adapter - Native Format Builder exists option "Number of rows to skip". But this means how many rows from beginning of file to skip,
can somebody help to define how to skip n rows from the end of file.
Thanks in advance!There is no option available to skip rows from end. But if you know how many rows are there in the file and how many you want to skip, then you can use the option of "Number of data rows to process" and process only number of rows you want to actually process.

File Adapter fixed length Native format Builder schema not reading the data as expected
Hi
We are using a File Adapter for reading a fixed length data. Using the schema we are able to read the file but the places are incorrect. Following is the schema that we used and the payload.
At the last you can find our expected read of data how it should be.
With out the record type code we are not even reading the file. Hope there should be a correction in the schema. Please suggest

Native Format Builder in File Adapter - NXSD:ConditionValue

I am trying to build a schema using the Native Format Builder in the File Adapter. I am using the option "Multiple Records of different types"
The CSV file will look like the one shown below, the first column will have either DS, Shipping or an alpha numeric value (not a static value). How should the condition value look like for a dynamic value?

Thanks for the Idea, I tried using the Choice Condition and I am not sure what would be the condition, in my case, there are 3 record, the value in SKU will vary and differentiate the records. The first record (s) (based on no.of items in an order), the value in SKU column will be any value (alpha/numeric/alphanumeric), the next record will have "DS" in the SKU column and the next one will will "Shipping" in the SKU column. The example does look for "Yes" or "No" starting from the "70"th character in the line. I am not sure how to accommodate the condition to check whether the column* "SKU" contains an Item Number or "DS" or "Shipping". The poistion of the column "SKU" may vary every time, so I am not sure how to add a condition to verify that.

File Adapter Wizard - Native Format Builder - no spaces in header?
My project uses a vendor supplied, delimited text file. The first row of the file is a header, followed by data rows. The problem is that the header elements contain spaces, Which are not acceptable by the Native Format Builder.
Has anyone experienced this before and know of a good work-around? Or, is this a known issue?You can make use of the attribute "headerLines" in the top level "schema" tag. It would look something like this nxsd:headerLines="1".
This will skip first header line and will start from line number 2.

How to split a file by using Native Format Builder?
Hi all,
Please help me with this issue.
In this project we need to split a file to save in the db.
Following is the sample code and I would like to split this from 'BOH--------------' to 'BOT---------------' (as in BOLD)
But as you can see sometimes 'BOT' line comes up multiple times so I need to skip few 'BOT's until I meet new 'BOH' line.
I guess I have to use complex type in Native Format Builder, but I'm not sure how to..
Please help me with this situation.

Firstly please ensure that the file that you are reading is bound to have a format of some sort.
I will relate this to one of the requirement we did it in previous projects.
We have a requirement to read a csv file coming in:
1) It will be having records for Header (ODH) and Detail (ODL)
2) The Header and Detail records will be repeated 'N' number of times in the input file.

So the approach we followed is as below:
1) Design two DB tables. One to put the header records in Header table
2) Put the detail records in Trailer table.
3) Poll from these two tables to trigger next business requirements.

Reading File in native format and attaching it.

I am reading file in native format(Without schema) and wish to attach it before sending it accross.
I am assigning .csv instead of .html .

Buttons not appearing clearly upon output
I have created menu buttons (with highlight) that in turn link to the relevant movie file.
When outputted to DVD these buttons appear blurry and unclear.
Why are the buttons not appearing in a crisp, clean state when I have outputted them?Which version of DVD SP are you using? Are you
making these over video menus? What size and color
of fonts/background? They can all play into what is
happening, usually 20pt + sans serif works best, but
the text in DVD SP can often leave things to be
desired from time to time - where are you previewing
the buttons?

The vesrion Im using is DV Studio Pro 3. The up state color of the buttons are black and over is red. The font size is 13pt Arial Black.
I have outputted the DVD itself, so I view it through TV.
Am I on the right track?

File adapter : Read poll setting is not picking the file
Hi all,
I created a soa project to read a file and load in to the database table.
File adapter to read file > Mediator > Database adapter
Is the above structure i created. While i created this my imagination is that file adapter has poll frequency to read the file i set the value to 10 seconds.
After i deploy my project i checked in enterprise manager that there is no option to test this , because test button will be disable due to file adapter and database adapter , so no inputs required here. But i feel this will automatically read the file for every 10 seconds. but its not happening.
any help will be appreciated.

Button not appearing on quiz pass
Hi All,
I'm trying to get a button to appear on a quiz when someone passes successfully. This button will be a link to another .swf file that will pulled into the project in Aggregator. The link is working fine, but I cannot get the smartshape to appear successfully when the quiz is passed. I have used the cpInfoPassFail Advanced Action set to greater than 1, visibility is turned off and execute advanced action is set in the Action property box, but still it does not show. I've working round and round and circles with this all day, trying different advanced actions, visibility on, off... and nothing is working with it.
If anyone has any suggestions how and why this not working, I'd really appreciate it. I'm not finding Captivate particularly intuitive at the moment and am seriously considering heading over the Storyline.cpInfoPassFail will never be greater than 1; it has only two values: 0 if failed, and 1 if passed. It is a boolean variable.
When looking at your action: I thought you wanted to open the URL using the shape button, but you put the command Open immediately after showing the shape? That part should be triggered by the shape button. I hope you configured it as a button?

Delete Button not appearing in cFolders
Hi All,
The user is allowed to upload the document in the cFolders. In the screen where the list of files uploaded is displayed, there are buttons like 'Create', 'Copy' etc. But here there is no option to delete the uploaded file.
Can any one suggest why the 'Delete' Button is not appearing.....

Are you using custom roles?
Authorization to delete is missing.
Two ways you could get that :
1) authorization object CFX_OBJ should have activity 'delete' (06) in your profile
or else authorization object ACO_SUPER with activity 'Admin' ( not recommended)
2) Enable delete authorization via BBP_CFOLDER_BADI method col_authority_change

Navigaion buttons not appearing for .swf publication
I have a .swf file where the navigation buttons are not
appearing.I have the same problem - I created a Captivate 2
presentation, and when I preview, the playback controls are there,
but when I publish it, it has no controls. I keep checking Skins
and it says there it's turned on. And the controls did show at
first, but have stopped and I have no idea how they could have got
'suppressed.'
I got so desperate I tried creating a new project and
importing all the slides into it, but... still the same, whatever
setting is causing this came along with the slides. I have both
info and quiz slides, but playback controls don't appear on any of
them.

Buttons not appearing after given time
Captivate is driving me absolutely mad...
I am attempting to make an elearning app with audio narration
on some slides, and some quiz slides and branching. I have set the
default slide display time to 600 sec. I am using audio files for
narration and want captions to appear at strategic points in the
slide. I made the captions and positioned them where I want them on
the timeline, then changed their properties to "Display for rest of
slide".
When I preview the slide in the Captivate interface, it works
fine, but when I publish the project (or do a full preview), the
audio plays but the captions don't appear unless I click on the
"Play" button in the Flash player controls underneath.
I have downloaded Captivate 4, as I was having similar
problems in version 3 (except that in version 3 the audio didn't
play either!) Was surprised to find the same problem - surely this
is a really standard thing to do... so what am I doing wrong?Hi there
600 seconds? Seriously? OMG, that's ten minutes!
Personally, I would never recommend having a slide longer
than maybe ten
seconds. I'm not sure how you even manage a timeline that
long.
At any rate, whatever floats your boat I suppose. My guess is
that you have some object (Click Box, Button or Text Entry Box)
that is sitting on the timeline and pausing things before the
button you wish to see has a chance to appear.

Buttons not appearing (setVisible used)
I have four buttons.
This is what i want:
1)At the begining run=debug=visible
next=exit2=not visible
2)When i click debug run=debug=invisible
next=exit2=visible
But it's not doing (2)correctly.
instead it does debug run=debug=invisible
next and exit2 do not appear.
Any idea why?
