Navigate between 2 ALV tables

Hello,
I'm trying to create an alv table and when clicking on a hotspot go to a different ALV table.
In the layout I define the second table in a view container and not in a table, because I want to click on one of its cells and go to another table (third table).
I define each table in a separated view in one window
My problem is that when I click on the first hotspot I get the error message :
window ZSET_WEB does not exist with in component SALV_WD_TABLE
The code:

my problem is that when I use create_window( ) like Thomas suggested, I don't know how to send the right view (the window as I mention has 2 views)
and I get the error message: An Instance of the View ZSET_WEB Already Exists in the Component Code

Basically ALV is a way to display the output and Table Control is designed in screen painter through which you can get entries in Table Control, can delete some records etc for further processing and its not use only for Display.
ALV is Application List viewer:-
Sap provides a set of ALV (ABAP LIST VIEWER) function modules which can be put into use to embellish the output of a report. This set of ALV functions is used to enhance the readability and functionality of any report output. Cases arise in sap when the output of a report contains columns extending more than 255 characters in length.
In such cases, this set of ALV functions can help choose selected columns and arrange the different columns from a report output and also save different variants for report display. This is a very efficient tool for dynamically sorting and arranging the columns from a report output.
TABLE CONTROL:-
ABAP offers two mechanisms for displaying and using table data in a screen. These mechanisms are table controls and step loops. Table controls and step loops are types of screen tables you can add to a screen in the Screen Painter.

How to open and navigate between human task forms in a same page?

I use Oracle BPM 11.1.1.5
I have a question about taskflows in BPM Application.
In ADF web application, I create a sipmle task flow and insert view id and bind these to jspx pages, my pages are opend in same page when
return an outcome.
For exapmle I have three pages like A,B,C.
In task flow, insert three view ids and bind to A,B,C.
My first pages is A, and when outcome is B navigate to B, when my outcome is C then navigate to C in a same page not separate pages.
But my problem is here.. in BPM Application when create task forms, every task has a separate task flow that there exist a single view id and a wild card flow in it.
In BPM workspace when initiate human task form is closed, I should press refresh button to see next human task form in task list table.
I tried to create a simple task flow and insert human task forms in it and navigate between these.. but show human task form in wrong display and don`t show some component and human task payload.
Now, my question : How to open and navigate between human task forms in a same page like software installation?

Having a separate Data Control for each human task is normally the case. There is a way to assign multiple human tasks to a single data control (and one task flow), but I don't think that this is going to help you with what I think you're trying to do.
If your human task is called "EmployeeDetail", then you'd use the data control associated with this for the UI pages in the task flow diagram that is associated with this human task. For example, you might have a first page that has just the basic employee information - the fields (at least the ID field) would come from the EmployeeDetail data control. When the end user clicks "Next", you might have this UI page flow to a second UI page in the task flow diagram that has the employee's address information. You might place the address fields from the EmployeeDetail data control onto this second UI page.
You might be asking how the work item instance can automatically flow to the next interactive activity in the process while staying inside the first interactive activity's human task's task flow diagram. This is not how it works - the task flow diagram models the end user interaction while inside a single human task that is tied to a specific interactive activity in the process. If you want a the end user to be able to move the instance through multiple interactive activities in the process in one interaction, look at "Activity Guides". Activity Guides do a nice job of this.

Displaying default value for a field in ALV table

Hai all,
 I am having an ALV table in which I want to display Requisition number by default using a value which i generated randomly and it is stored in a variable.
While displaying ALV table my req number field should display that value by default when ever user is inserting a row( all the coloumns n my alv are editable.
Is it possible??

In webdynpro for ABAP alv table issue

hello gurus,
 i am new for webdynpro for ABAP.i strucked at one point at designing time.anybody could you suggest me on this.

let me explain my scenario first.
in my webdynpro for ABAP developement i have one alv table having ten fields.i am featching the data for eight fields from one Ztabale and updating , for rest of two fields we need to fill after displaying output using the respective F4 help. Right now these two fields are in input editable mode.now i am getting the values successfully from F4 help and at the same time it is allowing MANUAL ENTRIES also but as per my requirement it should not allow any manual entries . for this i have made these two fields are in readonly mode as like as rest of fields to avoid the MANUAL ENTRIES but at this time i didnot get any F4 helpfor those two fields.
so how can i achive my goal in this thing could any one suggest me.
my final conclusion is we need to get only F4 help values into those two fields . it should not allow any manual values at any point of time.

How to process Line Selection on ALV Table in ABAP WebDynpro

Hi there,
I have a view with an ALV table whose context node retrieves its data from a Service Call for a method.
The method provides certain data of a database table which the ALV displays.
Now I would like to be able to select one row of that ALV table and after pressing a button or doubleclicking on the row or whatever a different view (as for me it is also ok on the same view) should appear to display the details of that selection.
I only need to know how to retrieve the selected data.
Or its index within the internal table.
I am already looking for hours for a useful thread and actually there is one which obviously is about a similar issue apart from the multiple selection part:

but i am afraid that i don't understand it. Or at least I misunderstand it since it does not work with me.
The system example mentioned in the thread does not help me either because it somehow does not correspond to my needs, does it?
It would be GREAT if somebody could help me with that. Please keep it simple for I am not an expert in webdynpro yet (obviously ^^) and also please explain in detail what I have to do with the context nodes since I am not sure whether the selection is stored in my already existing node or whether I need a special one for that.

Hi Christina,
If you just want to get one column data of the line that user clicked, use the Web Dynpro Code Wizard to Read Context of attibute you needed, then you will get code as follow:
* Define data for read attribute

The value of column_name is stored in item_column_name.
If you need the index that the user clicked, try this:

View Link and and navigate between pages problem...

Hi, everyone! Hope someone can help with my problem. In DB I have one table with informationa about Employees and Jobs. From this one table I made one EO from which I made 2 VO - EmployeeVO and JobsVO. I link these two VO with ViewLink - EmpJobVL (1 to 1 realtionship).
Then I created 2 .jspx pages. In one page I droped EmployeeVO but in second page I droped JobsVO. In page template I put button with which I can navigate between these two pages.
The problem is... when I run my employee page and navigate to correct record with "next" button and then try to navigate to jobs page then in jobs page I can't see correct record. I always see there first record. Why it is so and what can I do?

No probs, U can keep ur Jspx as such u just need to clean up ur PageDefs..... Dont struggle more urself its such a easy job...
Delete all ur page def entries and then have a copy of ur jspx coding in a notepad and delete that too....
make ur jspx and page def a fresh one re-drag ur VOs and paste ur jspx codings again
Ur VOs will get binded automatically......... :)

ALV pop-up via ALV table view

I have an ALV table view, after selecting any line item in the view i have button "DETAIL" which would pop up another view with the details in ALV view again.
I have done the below steps but iam unable to get the alv pop-up with details. I would really appreciate if anyone can help me with this.
My main view V_OVERVIEW is the initial Table view and i have created another View V_POPUP which just has a Viewcontainer. V_OVERVIEW is embeded in window W_MAIN and V_POPUP is embeded in W_POPUP.

How to create a ALV table

I have to show an ALV table with the list of errors at the end of an operation. I have two separated views for this: one view when I run the operation and, at the end of this operation, I show a button and when I click on this button I can to navigate in a second view where I show the table with the list of errors... How can I do for make this table as an ALV table?

You can get the changes made by user in the context. To achieve this follow the process:
1) Enable the context change log in the init method of component controller:
DATA: z_context TYPE REF TO if_wd_context.
z_context = wd_context->get_context( ).
z_context->enable_context_change_log( ).
Then call following method in the component controller to get the context changes:
DATA: lt_changes TYPE wdr_context_change_list.
DATA: z_context TYPE REF TO if_wd_context.
z_context = wd_context->get_context( ).
lt_changes = z_context->get_context_change_log( ).
You will get all context changes in the table lt_changes.
Compare these values with the values before context change.
2) You can also get the changed cells using event 'on_data_check' of ALV.

Separatate column of Web Dynpro ALV table using a vertical line

Hi Experts!
I have Web Dynpro ALV table and I have a requirement to add a colored vertical line between two columns as a separator.
Is this possible? Is it possible to adjust border width of individual cells?
I would be grateful for any ideas you may able to share.

Both could be achieved by creating custom theme. But those changes will be applicable to tables and ALVs in your applications.

WebDynpro ABAP ALV table not refreshed

Hi everyone,
I've got a master table which displays a list of items. On lead selection a query is executed and the result is displayed in a table below the first table (like a master-detail pattern).
This all works all right when the detail view is a standard webdynpro table.
However when I replace the standard table with an ALV table this is not refreshed.
I've also tried to invalidate the node in the even handler "on lead selection" and I've also coded
lo_interfacecontroller->refresh( in = lv_refresh_in ).
but to no avail.
Any ideas?

Problem with ALV-Table: attruibut not found

I've created an input-view with an alv-table as output list.
I've mapped the alv-table called 'daten' with the component controller 'daten'.
Check is ok, but when I start the application I get shortdump:

I have an alv table which displays data on certain search conditions. When I navigate back to the search page I should clear the alv table. I've tried this via clearing the node values but still it's not working.

Hi Sandhya,
U can try the below procedure:
On click of the back button
1. delete the data from internal table which is binded with the table.
2.Now bind the internal table to the node.
This time u wont get any data.

I have web dynpor alv tables set up for multiple selections but not working

I have numerous alv tables within my application and i have following the steps needed to set them up for multiple selection.
The context node selection property is set up as 0..n
I also have the modify method set up with the method call
CALL METHOD lo_value->if_salv_wd_table_settings~set_selection_mode
    EXPORTING
      value = cl_wd_table=>e_selection_mode-MULTI_NO_LEAD.
I also have the no lead selection option set so initially there is no entry selected
I can select one entry without a problem.
I can also select one entry and then if i use the shift button when selecting another record it will select all the records in between.
However i cant pick numerous individual records at the same time.
I try by selecting a record and the n using the control button to select a second record but it wont work.
Any ideas what i am missing or what i am doing wrong.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

The code listed in the note looks completely different to what i currently have , i dont read any nodes when setting up the alv table . Am i putting the code in the wrong place?
