  • Redirect to different pages based on user input value

    Hello,
    Anyone please help.
    I am trying to redirect to different pages based on user inputs. I have a form in which I have one text item and a submit button. For example consider text item to be empno; So once the user enters a empno and hits submit button; I need to redirect to different pages based on this job.
    For Ex: if user inputs empno whose job is 'ANALYST' then redirect to page 1
    if user inputs empno whose job is 'MANAGER' then redirect to page 10
    For this scenario. i wrote a pl/sql process for the submit button; but no luck -- its not at all redirecting instead its in the same page. Below is the process.
    declare
    v_job varchar2(20);
    begin
    select job into v_job from emp where empno = :P9_EMPNO_R;
    if v_job = 'ANALYST' then

    if v_job = 'MANAGER' then

    end if;
    end;Please help. I am using Oracle APEX version 4.2 and database Oracle 11g R2

    Thanks,
    OrtonI have a similar scenario in my application and this is how I handle it.
    1. Create a page item on the page, say Px_PAGE_NUM
    2. Create a "On Submit - After Computations and Validations" page process to set the above page item. In your case, you can use the same logic that you have already in place (except the call to OWA_UTIL.REDIRECT_URL) :
    declare
    v_job varchar2(20);
    begin
    select job into v_job from emp where empno = :P9_EMPNO_R;
    if v_job = 'ANALYST' then
       :Px_PAGE_NUM := '1';
    end if;
    if v_job = 'MANAGER' then
       :Px_PAGE_NUM := '10';
    end if;
    end;3. Create a "On Submit: After processing" branch. Specify the "Target Type" as "Page in the application" and "Page Number" as &Px_PAGE_NUM. (with the dot).
    I hope the above helps.
    BTW, the following thread in the forum related to OWA_UTIL.REDIRECT_URL might help:
    issue OWA_UTIL.REDIRECT_URL with APEX 4.1.1

  • On click event of Calendar control navigate to Next page

    Hi All,
    We have one requirement, we have one calendar control,in that calendar control on top of month,if we click it will navigate to another control and display entire month data.
    If i click on May 2015 ,it will provide hyperlink and open in new page.
    i tried in Day render event for calendar...But i did not get any solution..
    can any one suggest me...
    Thanks...

    Hi Reddy,
    From your description, my understanding is that you want to provide a hyperlink for the title of calendar.
    You could accomplish your requirement with jQuery, please refer to this code below:
    <script src="https://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.11.1.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    $(document).ready(function () {
    // please refer to this screenshot below to get your selector, and replace the google with your hyperlink
    $("table[id$='Calendar1']>tbody>tr>td>table>tbody>tr>td[align='center']")[0].innerHTML = "<a href='http://www.google.com'>" + $("table[id$='Calendar1']>tbody>tr>td>table>tbody>tr>td[align='center']")[0].innerHTML + "</a>"
    </script>
    Please refer to the screenshot below to get your selector:

  • How to print only certain parts of a page based on form input

    I need to know how to do the following.
    I have a PDF with a listing of five addresses. I need to be able to use radio buttons, check boxes, or something similar in order to select certain addresses, and have only those print. But, I need to keep all the addresses available in the electronic copy, and the addresses can't be editable by others. Other people can only choose to print the sheet showing just the addresses they want, such as 1, 2, and 5.
    Is this possible? If so, how?
    Your help is appreciated!

    One way is to set up five buttons, one for each address. Create a separate PDF for each address and use them as the icon source for each button. To set up a button to use an icon, set its Layout to something other than "Label Only".
    The buttons should be set to be read-only, and not have a background or border color. When the corresponding check box is selected, the address button would get set to be printing, and non-printing if deselected. Use something like the following as the Mouse Up JavaScript for each check box.
    // Mouse Up script for check box
    var f = getField("Address1_button");
    f.display = (event.target.value === "Off") ? display.noPrint : display.visible;
    Replace "Address1_button" with the actual name of the corresponding button.
    Instead of using buttons to display the addresses, you may be able to use text fields. It just depends on the formatting you need.

  • How to validate when navigating on next page in a Train

    Dear All,
    Use Case:
    I have pages arranged in a Train.
    Supposed in 1 page, I have this code.
    <af:selectBooleanRadio text="Enter new transaction details"
       label="" id="sbr2"
       autoSubmit="true"
       value="#{pageFlowScope.myBean.option}"/>
    <af:panelFormLayout id="option" labelAlignment="start"
         rendered="#{pageFlowScope.myBean.option}">
         <af:inputText label="Transaction Date" id="it2"/>
         <af:inputText label="Transaction Option" id="it3"/>
         <af:inputText label="Confirmation Message" id="it7"/>
         <f:facet name="footer"/>
    </af:panelFormLayout>If the user selected the boolean radio, I will display the panelformlayout thru PPR.
    Now, if the panelformlayout is displayed, user should at least enter one data on at least one
    of the inputText. If not, a message is displayed when user navigates to the next page on the
    train.
    How to do this?
    I cannot put a required property on all the input text because not all are required and only at least one input text should be filled up.
    I wanted to fire up when user navigates the train button Previous or Next button.
    JDEV 11G PS3
    Thanks

    one solution is to build your own Next button in the train and check the condition before you navigate to the next train stop. to navigate to the next train stop in the train check check [url http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/adf/learnmore/82-programmatically-navigate-trains-396873.pdf]     How-to programmatically navigate ADF train models
    another solution is to set the required property for your input texts as
    <af:inputText label="Transaction Date" id="it2"/>
         <af:inputText label="Transaction Option" id="it1" required="boolean radio is selected and it2 eq null and it3 eq null ...... and it7 is null"/>
         <af:inputText label="Transaction Option" id="it2" required="boolean radio is selected and it1 eq null and it3 eq null ...... and it7 is null"/>
            <af:inputText label="Transaction Option" id="it3" required="boolean radio is selected and it1 eq null and it2 eq null ...... and it7 is null"/>
         <af:inputText label="Confirmation Message" id="it7" required"boolean radio is selected and it1 eq null and ...... it6 eq null"/>

  • Last day of each month in a year based on a Input date?

    Hi all,
    I have a request from a customer who wants to have a yearly report created in BEx Query Designer which starts in January up to December and they want to have a Month To Date (MDT) and Year to Date (YTD) calculation of a key figure. This report will only show one year at the time based on the date the user give as input at the Variable Screen.
    This key figure should be calculated by using the last date of each month for input when performing the MTD and YTD calculation and summarizations.
    Example:
    January: 31.01.2008  Key Figure = 1000. MTD = 1000 and YTD = 1000
    February: 29.02.2008  Key Figure = 2500. MTD = (2500-1000) 1500 and YTD = 2500
    March: 31.03.2008  Key Figure = 6000. MTD =(6000-2500)=3500 and YTD = 6000
    Etcu2026.
    This means that I have to have a lot of hidden Key figures which gets restricted on the different month end dates and formulas to calculate the different MTD and YTD results for the months as the year progresses.
    The way I have solved it now is that I have a Customer Exit which gives me the Last day of last year (Exp: 31.12.2007) based on input date and use a Offset on the last day of last year date to get the different last dates of each month.
    Since we have a leap year (one extra day in February) this year, the offset to calculate the end month dates will be different for 2007 and next year (2009). This solution is not very flexible, and it will not give the correct MTD and YTD if the customer wants to go back to 2007 and off course next year (2009).
    One solution is to create 12 Customer Exits that gives me the different month end dates (January-December), and also takes in account leap year for February for the different years. These Exits will be based on the Input date the Customers put in at the variable screen.
    I would rather want to avoid making 12 new customer exits and want your advice and expertise to find out if this is possible in any other way (maybe with only 1 customer exit) to get the last date of each month based on an input date.
    Thanks for all your advices on beforehand.
    Regards
    Oddmar Lid

    Hi,
    Thanks for you replay and documentation, but it doesn't give me excatly the functionality I'm after. The only MTD calculation code the document provides is the calculation of the following functionality:
    "Month to Date (MTD) u2013 From the 1st of month to u201CKey Dateu201D - for current year." This doesn't give the the functionality I want, which is to retrieve a given vaule for a Key Figure for the last dates of the months in a year to calculate MTD and YTD.
    This way I have created the query is to have multiple hidden Key Figures that calculates the MTD and YTD.
    In Columns in Query Designer it will look something like this:
    Selection: MTD January--> Date = 31.01.2008, Key Figure (Always Show)
    Selection: YTD January --> Date= 31.01.2008, Key Figure (Always Show)
    Selection: MTD February --> Date= 29.02.2008, Key Figure (Always Hide)
    Formula: MTD February --> MTD February - MTD January (Always Show)
    Selection YTD February --> Date = 29.02.2008, Key Figure (Always Show)
    And so on....
    This is off course a simplified version, but it shows the core of the solution. What I want to achive here is that the dates used to get the Key Figures (last date of a month) is calculated as flexible as possible, so that the users can go back and forth in time without worrying about the leap year problem and so on. I have now used an offset from the last date of last year and this is good for all the normal years, but when it is a leap year the query will use wrong dates to get the key figure vaule for the last date of each month.
    Any ideas on how to achieve this without creating 12 different Customer Exit variables (one for each end date of each month)?
    Thanks
    Regards
    Oddmar Lid

    I don't know what's matter in the app, can you tell me how to deal with it.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi there,
    I have a similar requirement. User will download search results in a CSV file after which I want either the page to be refreshed or to be able to goto a Confirmation page or navigate to another page.
    I tried using setForwardURL / forwardImmediately / redirectImmediately methods as well as redirectToDialogPage. Since we use pageContext.setDocumentRendered(false); and response.getOutputStream().flush(); methods, the HttpResponse is already committed.
    Hence, the page does not redirect to another page as Request is processed and Response is complete. In case of methods like setForwardURL A JSP forward redirects the same request object to the target URL.
    Can anyone help here to achieve the expected requirement?
    Thanks.

  • IE - Clicking on SignIn button does not take user to next page

    Hi,
    This is a question on Code UI tests. This is the technology behind the website -
    1) Angular JS
    2) TypeScript
    3) REST API (.Net)
    4) MVC .Net
    Now the most weird thing happens. Sign In stops working when I use the automation tool.
    When I enter the credentials manually and Hit Enter or Sign In button, it works. But when the tool does it, it won't.
    1) It identifies the control. - Sign In Button
    2) It clicks the button. (Or Hit Enter after typing password) - Tried it with SendKeys {Enter} after keying in the password too.
    3) But the web site won't navigate to the next page.
    This happens only when I use the tool to do this.
    It happens whether I use Enter key or Sign In button. Seems like the web page won't recognize the entry if it is through the tool.
    Has anyone ever come across this?

    Hi,
    Finally I have found solution to your question. The previous answer provided by me is completely wrong and I apologize for it.  What you have to do is you have to add an app.config file in your solution and paste the below code in it. It seems like
    the javascript is not able to handle the ajax call in your scenario. So add the below code and check out the two link added below which will clearly explain you the solution for your problem.
    The work-around is to add the following to the App.config file for your test project:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
    <configuration>
      <appSettings>
        <add key="WebWaitForReadyLevel" value="3"/>
      </appSettings>
    </configuration>

  • Creating a adf page based on webservice data control

    hello
    i am using latest version of jdev 11g from otn.
    i created a VO based on EO and define a view criteria as well. i added that to a AM and exposed it as web service and deployed to a wls server.
    now i wish to created a adf page based on it so i created a ws data control based on the wsdl.
    in the data control section now i see service as findSearchOrder. When i try to drop it on the page it created a adf form with two input boxes findControl and findCriteria.
    So, I am not able to understand how exactly these are going to map to the actual search parameters?
    Please advise

    If you want to retrieve all records, you can set them to null.
    But of course, it depends on what you want to archive (I suppose you want a search form?).
    Please give us your complete JDev version. (Help > About > About tab)

  • Stale data error for a new page (based on an existing native sshr page)

    Without going into too much detail on why I'm doing this, I copied an existing oracle native page, renamed it, and loaded it into the MDS.
    I navigate to the page by creating an extension on a controller to take me to there on a button click. Also on this page, the native page that I copied is also accessible. There is a similar button click to take you to the native page.
    I had a business requirement to create records for the current year (the native page), and records for next year. Using a dff to differentiate between the two types of records was not an option.
    The copied page is used to simply create records. I extended the native controller to default a value behind the scenes (This is how I differentiaing between the current/next year records). The super.ProcessForm/superProcessFormRequest are there as well in this controller. From there, the page is using the same code as the native page that I copied.
    When I click the "Save As Draft", "Apply", "Cancel" buttons, it works fine.
    However, when I click on the "Apply Add Another" button, I'm getting the following error:
    The requested page contains stale data. This error could have been caused through the use of the browser's navigation buttons (the browser Back button, for example).
    Cause:
    The record with primary key values {13002} could not be found in view object
    AppraisalsAM.ObjectiveEditAM.ObjectivesVO.
    To proceed, please select the Home link at the top of the application page to return to the main menu.
    Then, access this page again using the application's navigation controls (menu, links, and so on) instead of using the browser's navigation controls like Back and Forward.
    I've researched this error all day today on prior postings/threads, and I haven't found a posting that is similar to the one that I outlined.
    I wouldn't think I would have to do anything programming wise since this is all native code, and the native page works fine. I'm guessing somewhere the native page is getting reference that is causing this error....
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

    You could use HIDE/UNHIDE funtionality for page 2
    1) create page 2 with all values ...
    2) on page 1 - add jJavascript to show or hide Page 2 dependin on value
    if (fieldvalue eq "condition") them
    Page2.presence = "visible"
    else
    Page2.presence = "hidden"
    endif

    No. Chances are excellent that there's a way to do what you want without needing the variable's address, however.
