Navigating values from one iview to another
HI,
We have created an Iview in Visual composer and has provided some "Name" and "EPCM Event".
Now when i click on a button i shud pass a values called "Number" from this iview to another iview which is not a Visual composer iview.
Can i know how can i link this 2 iviews and also how to capture that EPCM event to show the value in second iview.

The value is stored in cookies in the Client. EPCM databag APi should help you

save method writes to the cooke (from 1st iView) and load method gets the value from the cookie(from the 2nd iView).
Event is required only if you have both the iViews in the same page and want to show the update immediatly

And we have same year prompt on another dashboards only difference is, this prompt is editable not drop down.
The requirement is, when I navigate from main dashboard to another dashboard through reports, that time selected prompt value
comes in navigated dashboard prompt.
But When I navigate from main dashboard to another dashboard using Link or using <A Href> tag, now selected prompt value can not come in navigated dashboard prompt.
How can we pass selected prompt value from one dashboard to another dashboard? OR Is there any other technique?

You need to make the scope of the prompt as 'Dashboard' and if this doesnt work.
Then use presentation variable in the first prompt and pass it to the second prompt.
So this will surely pass the values across pages.

How to get a value from one item into another
How can i get value from one item into another item.
Ex: I have a report, in there i have check boxes, and when i have checked some rows, and press submitt, a prosses computates it into a item on another page, and a branche redirects to page 3. Then i'm going to use the value in the item into a PL/SQL script in an report to show the submittet items.
How can i do this?
Computation script, pages and all that is fixed. But i dont know which PL/SQL statement to use to get th value from the item.Hi Fredr1k,
Use the V() function from pl/sql.
e.g. V('P3_MY_ITEM')
will return the value of that page item.
As long as the pl/sql is called from within the Apex environment.

satheesh.Just think of dynpros as windows into the global memory of your program... so if you want the value of a field on dynpro 1234 to appear on dynpro 2345, then just pop the value into a global variable (i.e. one defined in your top include), and you will be able to see it in your second dynpro (assuming you make the field formats etc the same on both screens!).

I have a problem while copying values from one cursor to another cursor.
The code looks like below.

That means say initially " temp_cursor" has 100 records and i updated 5 records in a table and same number of records should be excluded and rest should be added to the output cursor TransactionResultSet.
How do i achieve it?

Then in second pgm you have to import from memory id given above.
example.
EXPORT gs_header FROM gs_header to memory id 'HEADER'.
EXPORT gt_item FROM gt_item to memory id 'ITEM'.
SUBMIT YFIIN_DISHC_MAILREPORT EXPORTING LIST TO MEMORY AND RETURN.
In your second pgm you can write
import gs_header TO gs_header from MEMORY id 'HEADER'.
import gt_item TO gt_item from MEMORY id 'ITEM'. -

my problem here is
i have 15 columns
i am executing a query based on the values of the column(column name) in the target page
1)here i am passing(all) the column values to the next page-but i want to pass only one column values(column name)
when i click on any cell of that column
OR
2)i can pass all column name to target page -there(in the target page) i can filter out
i think option 1 would good if you filter out the unwanted columns

Sudheer.I THINK IN FIELD EXITS SOME RESTRICTION IS THERE YOU CAN NOT USE CALL TRANSACTION OR CALL SCREEN. I DONT KNOW WHAT IS YOUR ACTUAL REQUIREMENT. BUT YOU ARE TRYING TO CALL TRANSACTION USING MEMORY ID OR SOMETHING THEN I THINK IN FIELD EXIT YOU CAN NOT DO THAT. PLS CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG

Exporting and importing a field value from one screen to another in BSP
Hi All,
I am working on a BSP application which consists of multiple screens. I have to export the value corresponding to a value selected from a drop down and import it in another screen so that in the next screen values can be populated corrsponding to the value selected in the drop down in the first screen.
I tried using SET/GET parameter and also EXPORT/IMPORT so that I can get value from one screen into another screen but both the statements are not working in BSP....
Please help...

Transfer value from one VI to another over a network?
Hi,
What is the best/easiest way to send a numeric value from one VI to another over a LAN. I only need one number to be sent every time the first vi is run which won't be that many, I then need to run the other VI and access that data. I could save the value to file and then open that file from the other VI, this I thought is a bit messy and wondered if LabVIEW accommodates this through property nodes etc rather than writing to file? Also by saving to file etc the reading VI needs to execute after the first one has written obviously, this could cause timing issues and to have something like a property node would be far better.

do u want to move a specific item that is selected or all of the items?
anyway the logic is very simple!:)
if u want to transfer the currently selected itme form the first List box,
use the method getSelectedItem() to get the currently selected item.
then keep this value in a String variable (item)
and use getItemSelected() to get the Index of it in int.
keep this value in an int variable (index)
then delete the item from the first list using the method remove(index) on the first list object.
then add the item to the second list using
add(item) on the second list object.

Hi All,
"How to pass the value from one Flex page to anothere Flex
page".
In First Flex page contains One Inputtext and one button is

Nagarjuna.I believe you are thinking in terms of HTML and traditional
page coding. As an old school ColdFusion guy I understand it is
difficult to leave that behind. (at least it was for me.) Unless
you literally have two different HTML pages that each have their
own Flex app running in them you do not need to send data from one
page to the next like you would with Web Forms. (If you are doing
that you may want to simply write the data to a Shared Object, Pass
it to a server to store and then feed back into the second Flex App
when it loads or perhaps use the ExternalInterface to then pass it
through as a series of URL parameters that can be loaded into the
next Flex App.)
In Flex you do not have to worry about loosing state between
pages because there are literally no pages. Only different views.
You would not "Send" the value from one page to another. You
provide a mechanism for the second view to reference the same model
or data object (most call them ValueObjects) that the first view is
setting via the form fields.
You would want to use a ValueObject in the first VIEW and
then fill the object with the form data using setter methods on the
object. For example set the fields onChange event to call the
setter on the object and pass it the form fields value as the
property. Alternately you could bind the values of the model
directly to the fields so that they automatically obtain the data
that is being filled in.
Depending on how complex of an application you are going to
build and how scalable it must eventually be you have many
different options to choose from to allow the second View to use
the data set but the first. However to make the application
ultimately more scalable you are going to want to keep your view
separated from the controller and that separated from the
Model/ValueObject. (By seperated I mean in different classes.)
I would suggest looking up the subject of MVC in Flex and
also the Mediator Design pattern. There are many great sources of
information.

Pass Value from one tab to another
Hi,
I have a requirement to pass a value from one tab to another.
For ex: I have a CC&B page with two tabs (Main, Steps).
In the Main tab, I choose a Field Activity. Once it is chosen, I want to pass the value of the Field Activity ID to the 'Steps' tab. Once I get the value of the field Activity, I can then query up a table and populate some fields in the Steps tab. How can i achieve passing the value if FA Id from one tab to another?
I tried to create an extension of the page using ext_page.jsp. But this extension just provides us methods like extPreOnWindowLoad(), extPostOnWindowLoad() etc which really is not helpful.
Any suggestions?

We cannot pass multiple values using Drill Filters beause it is based on hierarchy that can take only one value at a time.
If you want you can use Report Level Filter instead.

Thanks.I cannot be sure what you are calling a layer is what I know to be a layer--normally one does not go to layers, one goes to different frames. If you look at the timeline, it consists of frames and possibly multiple layers. Every layer has the same number of frames, and content in frame 1 of one layer is accessible by content in frame 1 of any other layer. So if you have a textfield in layer 1, frame 1, and you have a textarea in frame 1, layer 2, you can use code to have the text in one of those assigned to the other.
If you show a picture of what you are trying to describe it may help.
