Navigating within a view set using linktourl

I have a T Viewset where i want to populate my left view with links from database and when i click the link i want that page to be opened in the right view .
How can i do it as I am new to the technology I am not much accustomed to this GUI so please be clear in giving the explanation please .
And thanks a lot for all the service that you r providing with this site.

Hi
  You can create a Tree Node on the Left frame which displays the links from your database as Nodes and SubNodes. On the other view in your viewset store a IFrame UI Element.
The IFrame has a property called "Source". Bind this property to a context attribute(say str) of type string.
On select of the TreeNodeElement (Which is a link in your case) set the Context attribute of the property source with the url link.
This should serve your purpose.

  • Navigating within the view

    Hi ,
    i have requirement in which i have embedded window within another window Ex: i have embedded search view within create view, in which i have set create preporty "default - false" and search preporty "default - true", so whenever i run create application, search screen is display. The requirement is, there is button in search as "create" when i click on that it should navigate on to create screen. How to do that?

    Absolutely. Whilst it maybe silly to keep two seperate databases, I am quite happy to have the P&S pics in iPhote and my dslr pics in Aperture (my wife prefers this also). So, not one pic in iPhote is actually in Aperture. My only gripe with using iPhoto's capability to 'show' the Aperture library is the default small window they get opened in. This is the original OP, how to lock this library window size to maximum, once dragged larger. She is very apt using iPhoto for e-mailing and I would like for her to access this option of viewing my Aperture files, in a larger format. Who knows, maybe it's just not possible and the window has to be dragged larger everytime.
    Cheers

  • Navigation within swf files that use different version of actionscript

    I have multiple swf files that need to link up together, the problem is this, some of the files was developed a few years ago with Flash MX and actionscript 1 while some of these files was developed recently in CS 5 with actionscript 3.
    Is it possible to navigate within different version of actionscript files in the same flash player?
    I found that actionscript 1 file will not work once i have navigated to actionscript 3 file.
    Any suggession or solutions would be highly appreciate.

    Actually, it will not work properly. Given, the code behind all these swf(s) is Object Oriented then there is a solid chance of getting them to communicate with each other without any issue. Once suggestion would be to centralize the navigation into its own swf and then dispatchEvents and have the listeners handle the rest. I am sure there are other avenues, but I would do it this way so if there any other such file(s) in the future, all you will need to do is hook the plumbing up and off it goes. Now if the code is anything but 'Object Oriented' then it will take good chunk of time to get the navigation going. However way you decide to pursue it, test it rigorously so there aren't any foo surprises.
    Thanks.

  • Do I need to use a custom controller & view set

    Good Day,
    Please excuse the long question.
    I am in the process of creating a new BSP application.  In a nut shell, my application is going to accept a bunch of data in the URL and pass the data to an external system.  Depending on what is returned from the external system, it will prompt the user to either supplement the data or to confirm what the external system has sent back.
    I would like to have all of the business logic that communicates with the external system and decides what type of user interaction to be located in one central class.  I was thinking that I could have a custom controller that is resident for the life of the application.  It would call the external system and navigate to other views depending on what is required.  When the user responds, the response would go to the custom controller and be sent to the external system.  So, my first question is does this sound reasonable?  For my second question, is it possible to have a view associated with the custom controller.  If so, I can use it for the confirmation "screen".
    While looking at the Web IC cookbook, I ran accross the section on view sets.  Are there pros and cons to using a vew set for an application like this?  I expect the browser window to contain one view at a time and it kind of seems like view sets may intended more for where there are several views displayed within the browser and the view set allows you to change only one.  Is that true?
    Thank you very much for any insight you can offer.  I promise to award points for helpful responses.
    Thanks and kind regards,
    John

    Hi John,
    My suggestions would be to use a model class for the business logic and call to the external system.  The controller would only be for eventing and determining what view to call.  I would create a parameter called view_name on the controller and toogle this between your views depending on what returns from your model methods.  As a personal preference I would pass the 'bunch of data' in the form rather than the URL.  Validate it in a model method before sending it to the external system.  I tend to use URL querystrings for small stuff rather than large application data.  Also what would happen to the application if someone saves your URL as a favorite and launchs the app.
    Those are my thoughts hope it was helpful.

  • Can a script randomly select an action within a specific set for use on multiple images?

    Hi there.
    I have a folder of 200+ similar images (taken in a photobooth).
    I have made 8 seperate actions within the same set that apply slightly different textures to a image. Actions are titled 1, 2, 3 ...etc.
    I am wanting a way to get all the images to have one of the actions (randomly selected) applied to them.
    I'm pretty confident that this could be achieved with scripting, but have no idea how to write one.
    If the images were sequecnially applied to action 1 then 2 then 3 and so on (repeating when back to 8) this would also be suitable.
    I am fairly new to scripting so please keep answers simple where possible,
    Many thanks.
    Wil Stevens

    Something like this?
    // make variable to hold the name of the action set
    var actionSet = "myActionSet";
    // make variable to hold an array of action names you want to use from that set
    var actionArray = ["Action 1","Action 2","Action 3","Action 4","Action 5","Action 6","Action 7","Action 8"];
    // either hard code the folder path
    // var sourceFolder = new Folder('~/desktop/booth');
    // or prompt for folder
    var sourceFolder = Folder.selectDialog("Select the booth pix folder");
    // if prompting user make sure they didn't cancel the dialog without selecting a folder
    if(sourceFolder != null ) {
        // make variable for processed folder
        var processedFolder = new Folder(sourceFolder+'/processed');
        // make sure it exists
        if(!processedFolder.exists) processedFolder.create();
        // get the files from the folder using a mask to only get certain file extensions
        var files = sourceFolder.getFiles(/\.jpg$/i);// here we are only getting jpeg files with .jpg or .JPG extension
        // now loop through the files and apply random action
        for(var f=0;f<files.length;f++){
            // open a file in the files array
            var currentDoc = app.open(files[f]);
            // generate a random number between 0 and 7 ( array index is zero based )
            var rand = Math.floor((8)*Math.random());
            // apply a random action to the opened document
            app.doAction(actionArray[rand], actionSet );
            // make variable for the new file path
            var saveFile = new File(processedFolder+'/'+files[f].name);
            // save the file
            SaveAsJPEG( saveFile, 8, true );
            // close the doc
            currentDoc.close(SaveOptions.DONOTSAVECHANGES);
            // done with this file so loop to next
         }// end of loop
        // done with all the files in the files array
        alert('Done');
    }// end of if valid folder
    // function to save jpeg
    function SaveAsJPEG( inFileName, inQuality, inEmbedICC ) {
    var jpegOptions = new JPEGSaveOptions();
    jpegOptions.quality = inQuality;
    jpegOptions.embedColorProfile = inEmbedICC;
    app.activeDocument.saveAs( File( inFileName ), jpegOptions );

  • Unable to view and use iphotos within imovie or idvd

    I recently upgraded to iLife '06 and I would like to view and use my iphotos from within imovie. But for some reason I cannot. When I click on the media button, I can bring in any of my iTunes music. But when I click on the photos button, nothing, except for a message to launch iphoto2 or later appears. the Show Photo Settings button is present, but nothing happens when I click. I do keep my photo library on a second hard drive, not the one which stores the applications. I've rebuilt the database several times. any suggestions are appreciated. -ab

    I discovered the root of the problem was an " & " used in the file name of my iPhoto library. That is evidently a no-no. After I renemed the library and restarted, all was working fine. -ab

  • How do i set up to use the spacebar to navigate within an image while using another tool

    when using a tool (such as eraser, clone etc.) i used to be able to navigate within an image by using the spacebar. for some reason, this option is not working any longer and i'd like to know how to set it up again.

    You don't need the background image -- you supply THAT in FCPX. Just work the text effect and publish it.

  • Display Document Set Columns Within The Document Set

    Hello all! Hopefully you all can let me know if the idea I have in my head is possible:
    Background: I have a Document Library with a custom made Document Set that has about 15 columns. The way I initially designed this, I left about 10 of the fields as "Hidden" because we didn't want the user to fill out that information
    when creating a Document Set. That information would be completed in the next step through a Workflow. The Document Set Welcome Page has been left pretty much untouched with the usual web parts for Document Set Properties and the view of the items within the
    Document Set.
    Question: What I would like to know is...would it be possible to display those Document Set fields within the Document Set itself? At the moment, if I try to add another Document Library web part and view it, the information web part is
    empty, or it contains information about one of the items within the Document Set.
    Simplified Structure of Document Set:
    Name (required)
    Fiscal Year (Required)
    Total Cost (Required)
    Approval Date (Hidden)
    Requisition # (Hidden)
    Team Members (Hidden)
    Reminder Date (Hidden)
    User creates a new Document Set, fills out the information, and saves (this triggers a background workflow that approves the Document Set). After approval, a new workflow is started to provide the information for the Hidden fields (and also schedules a reminder
    for that Reminder date.)
    The goal would be to display those Hidden fields in another web part on the page. Right now, I have users going back up to the main level of the Document Library to look at a view that contains those fields.
    Hopefully I haven't confused you all too much! Please let me know if my idea is possible and any resources you might have!
    Thanks!

    Here is the approach to read document set columns and assign to other webparts:
    for each document set you can find the id when you clicking on the document set or navigating to the welcome page,
    using this id read query string and  the associated item column values and assign to otherwebpart .
    Reference code:
    //page_load for other webpart read the query string of welcome page
    if (Page.Request.QueryString["ID"] != null)
                    ID = Convert.ToInt32(Page.Request.QueryString["ID"]);
                    if (itemID > 0)
                        GetDocumentSetItem(ID , site);
      protected void GetDocumentSetItem(int itemid, SPSite sSiteUrl)
                SPSite site = sSiteUrl;
                SPWeb web = site.OpenWeb();
                SPList list = web.Lists.TryGetList("DocumentlibraryName"); //where documentset content type attached
                SPListItemCollection items = list.GetItems();
                SPListItem item = null;
                if (itemid > 0)
                    item = list.Items.GetItemById(itemID);//getting the current item
       //read the document set item column values and assign it other webpart controls ,
                    txtDocsetidname.Text = Convert.ToString(item["FileLeafRef"]);
                    txtDocsetid.Text = Convert.ToString(item["hiddenfield"]);
    In the welcome page I have placed button to load webpart ,while loading the webpart I am reading the query string assigning the values to otherwebparts.

  • Navigating to a view on click of a button in Webclient

    Hi Gurus,
    I am trying to navigate to a view from one view by clicking on a button.
    What is the coding to be done in do_handle_event and what is the navigation link to be provided in the customized run-time repository.

    3.4.1 Creating the View Set and Controllers
    The following steps are necessary to create your view set:
    1. Use the wizard to create a new view set SimpleActivitySet.
    Consultant’s Cookbook for Interaction Center (IC) WebClient SAP CRM 4.0 Add-On for Service Industries Page 93
    2. Skip through all following steps in the wizard.
    3. Redefine the method if_bsp_wd_history_state_descr~get_state_description in the
    generated class ZL_Z_CRM_IC_SIMPLEACTIVIT_IMPL as follows:
    METHOD if_bsp_wd_history_state_descr~get_state_description .
    description = text-001. " 'Simple Activity'
    ENDMETHOD.
    This method is called by the framework whenever the quick navigation dropdown box is refreshed.
    It returns the text to be displayed, in our case, Simple Activity. Double-click on text-001 in order
    to create the program text.
    4. Add the following code to the layout of the view set:
    <%@page language="abap"%>
    <%@ extension name="htmlb" prefix="htmlb"%>
    <%@ extension name="xhtmlb" prefix="xhtmlb"%>
    <%@ extension name="crm_bsp_ic" prefix="crmic"%>
    <%@ extension name="bsp" prefix="bsp"%>
    <crmic:gridLayout cellPadding="0" cellSpacing="2" columnSize="1" rowSize="1"
    width="100%" height="100%">
    <crmic:gridLayoutCell columnIndex="1" rowIndex="1" width="100%" height="34%">
    <bsp:call comp_id="<%=controller->GET_VIEWAREA_CONTENT_ID( 'SimpAct' )%>"
    url="<%=controller->GET_VIEWAREA_CONTENT_URL( 'SimpAct' )%>"/>
    </crmic:gridLayoutCell>
    </crmic:gridLayout>
    This HTMLB code simply creates a grid layout with one cell. Within the cell, we call the view by its
    ID (SimpAct). The ID is later on defined in the framework (cf. section 3.4.3.2).
    This design has some overhead in our case, but it shows in general how more complex view sets
    are to be designed. For example, see the view set definition of the interaction record,
    IRecViewSet.htm, in the BSP application CRM_IC.
    5. Activate all your objects.
    Consultant’s Cookbook for Interaction Center (IC) WebClient SAP CRM 4.0 Add-On for Service Industries Page 94
    3.4.2 Creating the View and Controllers
    The following steps are necessary to create your view:
    1. Start the IC WebClient workbench and right-click on the View Root node to create a new view.
    2. In the wizard, enter the following data:
    Consultant’s Cookbook for Interaction Center (IC) WebClient SAP CRM 4.0 Add-On for Service Industries Page 95
    We do not define value nodes here. Value nodes are context nodes which are not bound to the
    BOL model but implemented in the context classes.
    Consultant’s Cookbook for Interaction Center (IC) WebClient SAP CRM 4.0 Add-On for Service Industries Page 96
    Consultant’s Cookbook for Interaction Center (IC) WebClient SAP CRM 4.0 Add-On for Service Industries Page 97
    3. After this step, restart the IC WebClient workbench and see your new view in the hierarchy:
    Consultant’s Cookbook for Interaction Center (IC) WebClient SAP CRM 4.0 Add-On for Service Industries Page 98
    The following methods will all be created/implemented in the controller implementation class
    ZL_Z_CRM_IC_SIMPLEACTIVI_IMPL. The additional controller base class should never be changed!
    1. Define the inbound plug. This will be the method that is called by the framework whenever we
    navigate to our view set. For more information on the link definition, see section 3.4.3.3.
    Sample Code: Inbound Plug
    In general, there are two way of passing parameters:
    • Via the business data context (BDC), which is represented by a custom controller.
    At this custom controller you find the method SET_NAVIGATION_DATA and
    GET_NAVIGATION_DATA to pass a context entity.
    • Binding to custom controller context nodes which leads to data sharing between views.
    In our example we bind BTORDER, the root context node of our new view, to the
    context node CURRENTINTERACTION of the BDC (custom controller CuCoBDC).
    When our view is created the data of CURRENTINTERACTION is automatically set to
    the node BTORDER and the data for the dependant nodes is automatically derived.
    2. You can define a dropdown list box for the status as described in section 3.3.
    3. The wizard automatically creates two methods that are responsible for the data transfer between
    the model/controller and the view:
    • set_models
    Sends data to the view. It is comparable to the PBO modules of traditional ABAP screen
    programming.
    • do_handle_data
    Consultant’s Cookbook for Interaction Center (IC) WebClient SAP CRM 4.0 Add-On for Service Industries Page 99
    Retrieves data from the HTTP request fields. It is comparable to the PAI modules of an
    ABAP screen.
    3.4.3 Adjusting IC WebClient Framework
    After having defined the views, controllers, and classes, we need to assign them to the runtime profile of
    IC WebClient.
    The first time you do this, there are some preparations needed which are explained in the following
    section. After the preparation, the view and view set specific work for our example is explained.
    3.4.3.1 Preparation
    In order to prepare the IC WebClient framework for custom-built view sets, we need to create a new
    runtime profile BSP application in the customer namespace. This BSP application will contain one page,
    called CRM_IC.xml. It will contain the definition of all view sets and all navigational links by including the
    corresponding files that actually contain the definitions. We build all this according to standard structures,
    though it doesn’t necessarily have to be this way.
    To make things a bit simpler, we do not split up the repository into runtime and design time. All changes
    we make are only relevant for the runtime repository.
    Perform the following steps:
    1. Create the BSP application Z_CRM_IC_RT_REP in the package Z_CONS_COOK.
    2. Copy the file CRM_IC.xml from the BSP application CRM_IC_RT_REP to Z_CRM_IC_RT_REP.
    3. Adjust the contents of this file according to the changes shown in bold in the following sample
    code:
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <WebDynProDefinitions>
    <Application id="CRM_IC">
    <ViewSets>
    <%@include file="../Z_CRM_IC_RT_REP/CRM_IC_All_Viewsets.xml" %>
    </ViewSets>
    <NavigationalLinks>
    <%@include file="../Z_CRM_IC_RT_REP/CRM_IC_All_NavLinks.xml" %>
    </NavigationalLinks>
    </Application>
    </WebDynProDefinitions>
    Hence, CRM_IC.xml includes two more XML files which can be found in BSP application
    Z_CRM_IC_RT_REP.
    4. Create BSP application Z_CRM_IC_RT_REP in package Z_CONS_COOK.
    5. Copy page fragment CRM_IC_All_Viewsets.xml of BSP application CRM_IC_DT_REP to
    Z_CRM_IC_RT_REP and replace the file contents with the following lines:
    <%@ include file="MainViewSet.xml" %>
    <%@ include file="../CRM_IC_DT_REP/BuPaViewSet.xml" %>
    <%@ include file="../CRM_IC_DT_REP/CRM_IC_All_Viewsets_wo_BUPA_and_Main.xml"
    %>
    This definition still works with all standard view sets, but replaces the MainViewSet.xml with our
    own definition, since it is now loaded from Z_CRM_IC_RT_REP.
    6. Copy page fragment MainViewSet.xml from BSP application CRM_IC_DT_REP to
    Z_CRM_IC_RT_REP.
    Consultant’s Cookbook for Interaction Center (IC) WebClient SAP CRM 4.0 Add-On for Service Industries Page 100
    7. Copy page fragment CRM_IC_All_NavLinks.xml of BSP application CRM_IC_DT_REP to
    Z_CRM_IC_RT_REP and replace the file contents with the following line:
    <%@ include file="../CRM_IC_DT_REP/CRM_IC_All_NavLinks.xml" %>
    This definition makes sure that standard navigational links still work and that we are able to add
    our own link definitions later on.
    8. Activate all objects.
    9. Customize the IC WebClient runtime framework profile in such a way that the new source file is
    used, as shown in the following sample code:
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <RuntimeFrameworkSettings>
    <RuntimeRepositorySource type="BSP">
    <BspApplication>Z_CRM_IC_RT_REP</BspApplication>
    <PageName>CRM_IC.xml</PageName>
    </RuntimeRepositorySource>
    <WorkareaDefinition>
    <ViewSet>workViewSet</ViewSet>
    <ViewArea>workViewSetArea</ViewArea>
    </WorkareaDefinition>
    <ControllerReplacements>
    <ControllerReplacement>
    <ReplacedController>BuPaMoreContactView</ReplacedController>
    <ReplacingController>Z_CRM_IC/BuPaMoreContactView</ReplacingController>
    </ControllerReplacement>
    <ControllerReplacement>
    <ReplacedController>IRecReason</ReplacedController>
    <ReplacingController>Z_CRM_IC/IRecReason</ReplacingController>
    </ControllerReplacement>
    </ControllerReplacements>
    <InteractionLayerApplication>ALL</InteractionLayerApplication>
    </RuntimeFrameworkSettings>
    3.4.3.2 Creating View Definitions for Design Time Repositories
    Every new view set must be defined in the runtime repository.
    1. Create page fragment SimpleActivitySet.xml in BSP application Z_CRM_IC_RT_REP and maintain it
    as shown in the following sample code:
    <ViewSet id="Z_CRM_IC/SimpleActivitySet">
    <ViewArea id="SimpAct" views="Z_CRM_IC/SimpleActivity"/>
    </ViewSet>
    The view area ID (SimpAct) is the name of the literal used in the bsp:call tag. For more
    information, see section 3.4.1.
    2. Include this file in the framework. Place the following line into page CRM_IC_All_Viewsets.xml in
    BSP application Z_CRM_IC_RT_REP:
    <%@ include file="SimpleActivitySet.xml" %>
    3. Activate your objects.
    Consultant’s Cookbook for Interaction Center (IC) WebClient SAP CRM 4.0 Add-On for Service Industries Page 101
    3.4.3.3 Creating Navigational Link Definitions for Design Time Repositories
    In order to provide a navigational link for the activity clipboard, we need to define this link.
    1. Create page fragment SimpleActivityNavLinks.xml in BSP application Z_CRM_IC_RT_REP and
    maintain it as shown in the following sample code:
    <NavigationalLink name="SimpleActivity">
    <Source viewRef="IRecActivitiesClipboard" outboundPlugRef="default"/>
    <Targets>
    <Target viewRef="Z_CRM_IC/SimpleActivity"
    inboundPlugRef="inboundplugid"/>
    </Targets>
    </NavigationalLink>
    The name of the link is SimpleActivity. We will refer to it in the activity clipboard Customizing. For
    more information, see section 3.4.3.5. The link can be activated on the view
    IRecActivitiesClipboard and it navigates to the view SimpleActivity in BSP application
    Z_CRM_IC. When the target view is activated, method ip_inboundplugid of the view controller
    class is called.
    The framework adds the prefix “ip_” automatically for this method.
    2. Similar to the view definition, include the navigational link into the runtime repository. Add the
    following line to the file CRM_IC_All_NavLinks.xml in BSP application Z_CRM_IC_RT_REP:
    <%@ include file="SimpleActivityNavLinks.xml" %>
    3. Activate your objects.
    3.4.3.4 Placing View Sets into Controller Hierarchies
    After the view set and the navigational link are defined, we finally add our new view to the possible views
    for the work area. We need to adjust the file MainViewSet.xml in BSP application Z_CRM_IC_RT_REP. Add
    the reference to our view set and activate the file as shown in the following sample code:
    <ViewSet id="ICAPPMainViewSet">
    <ViewArea id="navigationArea" views="navigationViewSet"/>
    <ViewArea id="workArea" views="workViewSet"/>
    <ViewArea id="contextArea" views="contextAreaView"/>
    <ViewArea id="breadCrumbsArea" views="BreadCrumbsView"/>
    <ViewArea id="globalSearchArea" views="HistoryView"/>
    <ViewArea id="helpArea" views="Help"/>
    <ViewArea id="statusArea" views="StatusView"/>
    <ViewArea id="errorArea" views="ErrorViewSet"/>
    </ViewSet>
    <ViewSet id="navigationViewSet">
    <ViewArea id="navigationViewSetArea" views="NavBarView"/>
    </ViewSet>
    <ViewSet id="workViewSet">
    <ViewArea id="workViewSetArea"
    views="<%@include file='../CRM_IC_DT_REP/StdWorkareaOccupation.xml' %>
    Z_CRM_IC/SimpleActivitySet"/>
    </ViewSet>

    The short answer: your example is <b>NOT</b> going to work. The long answer will probably 5 pages to describe. So first let me rewrite the example so that it could work, and then give a short version of the long answer. Do not be disappointed if it is not totally clear. It is rather complicated. (See the nice form of IF statements that are possible since 620.)
    <%@page language="abap"%>
    <%@extension name="htmlb" prefix="htmlb"%>
    <% if isframe is <b>NOT</b> initial. %>
    <htmlb:content design="design2003">
      <htmlb:page title = "Top Level Navigation view">
        hallo world
      </htmlb:page>
    </htmlb:content>
    <% else. %>
      hallo world
    <% endif. %>
    So why does your example not work? Let us start with a simple tag:
      <htmlb:page title = "Top Level Navigation view">
      </htmlb:page>
    Now, for each tag, we have effectively the opening part (<htmlb:page>), an optional body, and then the closing part (</htmlb:page>). We are now at the level of the BSP runtime processing one tag. What the runtime does not know, is whether the tag wants to process its body or not. Each tag can decide dynamically at runtime whether the body should be processed. So the BSP compiler generates the following code:
      DATA: tag TYPE REF TO cl_htmlb_page.
      CREATE OBJECT tag.
      tag->title = 'Top Level Navigation view'.
      IF tag->DO_AT_BEGINNING( ) = CONTINUE.
      ENDIF.
      tag->DO_AT_END( ).
    You should actually just debug your BSP code at ABAP level, and then you will immediately see all of this. Now, let us mix in your example with our code generation. First you simplified example:
    <% if isframe is NOT initial. %>
      <htmlb:page title = "Top Level Navigation view">
    <% endif. %>
    <% if isframe is NOT initial. %>
      </htmlb:page>
    <% endif. %>
    And then with our generated code. Look specifically at how the IF/ENDIF blocks suddenly match!
    if isframe is NOT initial.
      DATA: tag TYPE REF TO cl_htmlb_page.
      CREATE OBJECT tag.
      tag->title = 'Top Level Navigation view'.
      IF tag->DO_AT_BEGINNING( ) = CONTINUE.
    endif.
    if isframe is NOT initial.
      ENDIF.
      tag->DO_AT_END( ).
    endif.
    You can see that your ENDIF statements are closing IF blocks generated by the BSP compiler. Such a nesting will not work. This is a very short form of the problem, there are a number of variations, and different types of the same problem.
    The only way to solve this problem, is probably to put the body into a page fragment and include it like I did above with the duplicate HelloWorld strings. But this duplicates source code. Better is to put body onto a view, that can be processed as required.

  • SharePoint 2013---How to convert current left Navigation into tree view

    Hi All,
    I want to convert current left navigation into tree view in SharePoint 2013. When we click on Modify Navigation and set headers and links; I need that should be convert into tree view. All headers should be expandable to thier links.
    I just want tree view on navigation headers and links. not for all site and subsites which we can enabled from site settings --> Modify All Site settings --> Tree view
    Please help me Master Page editing on Navigation Generation.. Thanks in advance!
    Regards,
    Anna

    Hi Anna,
    If you want to replace the Quick Launch part with the custom treeview web part in master page, you can comment out or remove the quick launch code block "<!--SPM:<SharePoint:SPNavigationManager id="QuickLaunchNavigationManager.....>....<>-->",
    then insert the custom web part snippet code in proper location in seattle master page, then all pages inheriting the seattle master page will have this web part.
    Note, please back up the master page before customizing the original master page for recovery.

  • Navigation within a pop-up window.

    Hi,
    I have a question regarding navigation within a pop-up window.
    The pop-up window is generated as below, the component usage is defined in the runtime repository for the main window.
    lo_contracts_popup     = comp_controller->window_manager->create_popup(
        iv_interface_view_name = 'TEST_REPS/MainWindow'
        iv_usage_name          = 'RepsList'
        iv_title               = lv_reps_otr ).
      lo_contracts_popup->set_window_width( '800' ).
      lo_contracts_popup->set_window_height( '500' ).
      lo_contracts_popup->open( ).
    Within the component, there are two views defined and assigned to that window.  If the component is tested by itself navigation is possible in the usual manner using a navigational link,  clicking the button calls the outbound plug, then the inbound plug then the bsp page and then the screen changes to show the new view, this uses the following code
    CALL METHOD op_toamendrep( ).
    Then in the outbound plug:-
      me->view_manager->navigate( source_rep_view = me->rep_view
                                  outbound_plug   = 'ToAmendRepresentative' ).
    However when the same chain of events is actioned in the pop-up, the navigational link is called the plugs are called and the associated BSP code is run through in the debugger, but the actual screen in the pop-up window is still shows the first view, not the second as we would expect.
    Can you please help me to resolve this issue?
    Thanks in advance,
    Gareth Smith

    I had the same issue and I found turning off safai extensions fixed the issue.  Must be an extension that's causing this problem.

  • Navigating Finder Icon view problem!

    Okay, I have searched without success for an answer for this problem. When navigating through the directory structure in the icon view finder doesn't remember where you came from. Here is an example, say you have a folder that has a few hundred items in it (ex. itunes library folder). In icon view scroll about half way down and then double click on another folder. Okay all find and dandy but when you click on the back button you are back at the beginning of the previous directory and not half way down with the folder you were just in highlighted! Now go back to that same folder you were just in (without pressing forward) or the folder to the left of it, this time instead of clicking back you press "Apple+up arrow" then you go back and see where you came from with the folder highlighted. Makes for a frustrating time navigating through a large directory. Any way to fix this?

    Ok, I think i get what you are saying.
    Your using icon view? (view 1)
    Try Column view (command+3), I find the hierarchical view far more navigable in general, and very useful for large numbers of files/directories, It remembers where you came from, there are just a few inconsistencies like the home, desktop, apps, utilities directories (the ones accessible via key commands) that screw it up. Other than that it's perfect.
    If you don't like that view then you can always set the finder to open folders in new windows (and continue to use icon view)... If the majority of the time you don't want to have finder open folders in new windows, then leave it off and hold command (Apple) when you double click a folder to open it in a new window on that occasion.
    Hope that helps your navigation problems.

  • How to get activity (outcome) which navigated to current view

    Hi!
    Is there a way to get activity (outcome string) that was cause of navigation to current view? For example, I have a view named SearchPage and I can navigate to this page from two outcomes (success and failed) from some taskflow (for example, the EditItem taskflow). I want to detect from which outcome (success or failed) I have returned to SerachPage. How to get this? I know I can use output parameters from taskflow, but I would like to simplify the case so I don't have to deal with output parameters but to rely on navigation rules / outcomes.
    Thanks,
    Pavle

    Hello Pavle,
    Unless I misunderstand your use case, this should really be a task flow input parameter previously set using a method call activity preceding the task flow call. From what I understand, you have 2 options:
    Option 1
    EditItem task flow:
    state1
      someTransition
      --> state2
        success
        --> method call that set a request attribute to success
        --> call the task flow, passing the request attribute as an input parameter
        failure
        --> method call that set a request attribute to failure
        --> call the task flow, passing the request attribute as an input parameter
    Option 1
    EditItem task flow:
    state1
      someTransition
      --> state2
        success
        --> call the task flow, passing success as an input parameter
        failure
        --> call the task flow, passing failure as an input parameterPersonally I prefer the first option as I prefer to duplicate method call state than task flow calls for easier maintenance as I consider task flow call to be more complex activities than simple method calls and thus prefer to duplicate the latter over the former.
