Navigating within the view

Hi ,
i have requirement in which i have embedded window within another window Ex: i have embedded search view within create view, in which i have set create preporty "default - false" and search preporty "default - true", so whenever i run create application, search screen is display. The requirement is, there is button in search as "create" when i click on that it should navigate on to create screen. How to do that?

Absolutely. Whilst it maybe silly to keep two seperate databases, I am quite happy to have the P&S pics in iPhote and my dslr pics in Aperture (my wife prefers this also). So, not one pic in iPhote is actually in Aperture. My only gripe with using iPhoto's capability to 'show' the Aperture library is the default small window they get opened in. This is the original OP, how to lock this library window size to maximum, once dragged larger. She is very apt using iPhoto for e-mailing and I would like for her to access this option of viewing my Aperture files, in a larger format. Who knows, maybe it's just not possible and the window has to be dragged larger everytime.

No Connection Navigator in the View menu

There is no Connection Navigator item in mu View menu, only System Navigator and CVS Navigator.
Any ideas?

Have you installed the java edition?
In the Java edition only the core Java and XML features exist. The Application Navigator and the Connection Navigator are part of the larger J2EE and Studio(ADF) editions.

Navigating within a view set using linktourl

I have a T Viewset where i want to populate my left view with links from database and when i click the link i want that page to be opened in the right view .
How can i do it as I am new to the technology I am not much accustomed to this GUI so please be clear in giving the explanation please .

Hi
You can create a Tree Node on the Left frame which displays the links from your database as Nodes and SubNodes. On the other view in your viewset store a IFrame UI Element.
The IFrame has a property called "Source". Bind this property to a context attribute(say str) of type string.
On select of the TreeNodeElement (Which is a link in your case) set the Context attribute of the property source with the url link.
This should serve your purpose.

Adding motion to photo within the viewer(s).

"You can add motion to a photo before adding it to your movie, or any time after you have added it." Doesn't seem to work in my case. I have numerous photos dragged succesfully into my movie from the pane, as well as some stills made from video footage.
In either case, I am unable to bring up the Photo Settings window per the Help instructions. I go to the Media button/photos pane but the "Show Photo Settings" window option is grayed, and unable to be selected.
I haven't been able to figure out a work-around for this....HELP!

When we import a photo iMovie creates a clip. If we later edit that clip — add a title, for example — the clip is no longer editable as a photo. We aren't allowed to use the Photo Settings palette to Update the clip. We can't apply a different zoom setting, for example.
My guess is your problem clip has been edited in some way so it can no longer be Updated. Because of that, the "Show Photo Settings" button is disabled.
If you wish, you should be able to choose Advanced > Revert to Original to return the clip to its original state. Then iMovie should allow you to Update it.
Be aware of a bug, however, that can affect whether an Update is even possible:

How to outer join within a view link from (VO-VL-VO)

I've got a table that stores the values of pre-defined attributes.
I'd like to create an advancedTable region that shows all of the attributes with or without values, in my view object i have....
select attribute, value
from attributes, values
where attributes.attribute_id = values.attribute_id (+)
This is working, but a have another view object that is the master and this is the details.
How can I do an outer join on the view link from master to detail? A simple (+) in the where condition does not do the trick.
If I try anything fancy within the view link, I get a JBO-27122.

Understand the concept of VL. Vl is nothing but a link between two VOs, with one VO row column serve as binding column for another VO.If u understand this u go to VL wizard and make VL declaratively. If not, refer to dev guide to know about VL.

The view of the navigation bar has shrunk and I cannot see the tiny print in search box and page location box.

How do I increase the size of the view within these 2 areas in the navigation bar?. The icons on the bar have not shrunk. I have Windows 7 and FF 19.0.2 which I just reinstalled.

Are you using any DPI related settings in Windows to increases the font size?

View remarks of an approver directly within the "Messages / Alerts" window.

Here is a need from some customers. It makes snes to ask for this functionality... It works from one side (requestor side) but not for the other (approver side)... Could this enhancement be implemented in future patches / versions ?

With no view of the remarks coming from the approver, we can miss important information from the approver. .. And to have to open a u201Cdecision report u201C in order to view the remarks that the approver has written, that makes no sense and in addition, Itu2019s time consuming !

Sophie wants to create a sales order, but she needs an approval to do it. So, when pressing the u201CAddu201D button in the Sales order window, the system launches the approval process. She writes in the REMARKS field u201CNeed your approval ASAP pleaseu201D.
Bill will be the approver of the sales order, so he receives the request for document approval in his u201CMessages / Alerts overviewu201D window.
Bill clicks on the u201CRequest for document approvalu201D in the u201CMessages / Alerts Overviewu201D window. By doing that, he sees in the middle part of the u201CMessages / Alerts Overviewu201D window that Sophie wrote a remark as this :`u201CNeed your approval ASAP pleaseu201D.   By knowing this, Bill will open the approval window and will take his decision immediately.
He writes a remark to Sophie as this : u201CPlease, donu2019t create any sales order for this customer before next week because we donu2019t know if they will pay us soon enoughu201D, he selects u201CApproveu201D and sends his approval to Sophie.

By clicking on the u201CDocument generation approvedu201D, Sophie can see very quickly, in the middle part of the u201CMessages / Alerts Overviewu201D window, that Bill gave her the instruction to avoid sales order creation for this customer in the upcoming week. Hey Ananya,
I believe what you want to do is possible, but it will not be
easy. If you want to add a scroll bar that will scroll the graph
back and forth but keep the axis set, you would want to add a
horizontal or vertical scrollbar. Then you would create an event
handler for the scroll event. You would have to manually plot
different data within this scroll event. Unfortunately, there is
not really a built in way to do this with the Measurement Studio plot
control.

We have rolled out a fix for this issue.
Please log off and log back in to your machine and the issue should be resolved automatically. In case that does not work, please manually run the msi installer posted here (may require reboot).

'Table of Contents' structure: the navigational and the within document

Hi.
Here are screenshots of the example of how I would like to structure my Table of Contents for my ebook.
screenshot1 is the .indd. It shows the Table of Contents settings and paragraph styles used.
screenshot2 is the .epub. It is the result after export.
In my actual .indd, I have been able to get the structure to look like the .epub screenshot.
I want to have the nested - pop-down ability to save space.
This is what is going on.
In the .epub (ADE), if I click on 'chapter 1' in the Left Frame of the ebook Window,
it just brings me to the same exact words within the context of the ebook - page 2.
Page 2 of the ebook has this 'Table of Contents'.
From there, (In my actual ebook), 'chapter 1' is a HYPERLINK.
I must click THAT HYPERLINK to actually get to the desired location in the ebook.
This means that I have to click 2x to get to the location.
I am NOT totally clear about this.
Does anyone feel that they have a great way to describe this.
Objective 1: click on 'chapter 1' from the left frame in the ebook and get to the desired location.
Objective 2: click on 'chapter 1' from within the content of the ebook and get to the desired location.
That means, (from what I have read and watched) I am using a
1. Navigational Table of Contents in the left frame.
2. Standard Table of Contents from within the actual content of the ebook.

I would need more details from you. Which version of InDesign are you using? Have you tried opening the same EPUB in any other reader like Readium or iBooks? If yes, is the behavior same in these readers or different?

Change the order within the navigation panel

within my navigation panel i have two iview, the detail navigation and an own iView (Web Dynpro within the dynamic navigation of a page). Until now the detail navigation appears at the first position in the navigation panel. How can i change the order within the navigation panel so that my own iView will be shown at the first position?

Hi Raji,
iviews can be ordered alphabetical. You can set this function in Systemadministration -> Service-Konfiguration -> Applications -> com.sap.portal.ivs.iviewservice -> iViewsSrv. Then you can set this value to ture (sorting true).
You can also change the sort-priority value in the property of each iview to 0..n.

Cross-Component navigation - Calling the specific view

Hello Experts,
I need your help.
I have a COMP2 with more than 10 views in it. While navigating from COMP1 to COMP2, I want to call a specific view of COMP2 based on some condition. When I checked in debugging, the COMP2/MainWindow is showing only one view which was set as default.
Can someone help me with this?

I already have this solution in my mind. But, was thinking how to call to the specific view while navigating itself using inbound plugs of the views. But, the problem is it was not showing all the views except the default one.
Anyhow, I don't have much time for this. Will wait if someone comes up with any other solution.
I will go ahead with your solution as putting conditions is better than creating many windows...

How can I view photos I downloaded 2-3 years ago and which suddenly seem to have disappeared. Only photos taken within the past 12 months are visible.

There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 9 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Include things like:
- What version of iPhoto. Version 8.1.2
- What version of the Operating System. OSX 10.9.4
- Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For example, if you have a problem with exporting, then explain by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
When I open iPhoto, only the most recent photos are shown (last 12 months)
- History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted? - Are there error messages? This has been going on for several weeks now. There are no error messages, but yes, I had an update in the system (QuarkXPress 10.1), and the problem has occurred from that day.
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue. I tried to find out where the problem came from, but found no solution.
- Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto? No
Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have.
