Navigation Buttons: Smaller w/ Lion, Anyway to Make Larger?

Has anybody figured out how to make the close/minimize/maximize bezels larger? With the Lion upgrade, they've decreased significantly in size.

Sorry, but I'm a bit fuzzy about your ranting. I have been teaching Photoshop for 20 years, I use InDesign, Illustrator, Audition, Edge Animate frequently, and you seem to claim that those applications are intuitive and Captivate is not? It has not the same interface, which I regret, but is certainly not as difficult as Photoshop and other Adobe applications. The only problem with Captivate is that everyone expects to be able to use it without any learning time. You want a powerful tool, a Swiss knife with many tools and you'll need to take some time to learn it. Paint is much easier than Photoshop, don't expect Captivate to be at the level of Paint, common misunderstanding.
As I answered already to one of your other questions: do you know how eLearning assets should look? It is not Powerpoint, because your other thread was to have a feature of a presentation tool in Captivate. It can be done, as I explained, but that is using a knife as a screwdriver, it is not meant to be used like that.
The only interactive object that can be used on a master slide is the shape button. Problem is that an object on the master slide doesn't have an ID, that you can not time it and if you give it a pausing point that will always be at the end of the slide. Another way of using a shape button is to put it on the first slide and time it for the rest of the project, always on top. That way it has an ID, which means you can control it with an (advanced/shared) action. But if you have slides with different duration, the shape button will always have the same timeline duration on each slides, and its pausing point will be at the same moment.

Framesets and Navigation buttons

Greetings All:
Now I know what you're going to say first, "don't use
framesets", yada, yada, yada, however, I have had some success.
But, I'm having a problem with two navigation buttons. I have
linked the buttons to the main frame in the inspector as the
instructions tell me. For the "Events " and the "contacts " button
when I click on them I see an error page not found message. Below
is the link to the site. Please advise on what I can do to fix this
problem. The framesets work best for our purposes. Thank you in

Locking address bar and navigation buttons Safari

With the new iOs 7 I have several issues with Safari.
Whenever I scroll down a page in Safari the navigation buttons (back/forward) dissappear and the address bar becomes a lot smaller. Any way to disable that?
Is it possible to show the full URL always?
The Google search box is missing, is there any setting to restore it to a seperate box instead of via the address bar?
Browsing through the open tabs now looks like a card catalog, not really an issue but only half the page is visible where it used to be the whole page.
Everything has changed so much, aggressive colors, buttons that don't look like buttons. I wish I could tweak everything a lot more.

Really really need to see the full URL in the URL bar. A top level domain alone is pretty much worthless and makes web browsing extremely difficult. How do I restore the full URL??

While the Note 4 is a reasonably large device it still falls into the phone layout bucket. We need this layout to function on very small screens some as low as 320 pixels high and 240 pixels wide. These sorts of devices don't have the space for a full toolbar.

Adding Navigation Buttons for Users of PDF Documents

The default for Acrobat Reader (and even the Pro version)
seems to leave the Forward and Back navigation buttons OFF the
Acrobat Reader tool bar. You have to deliberately go into the Tools
- Customize Tools menu and turn on these two buttons in order for
them to appear in the tool bar. This creates problems for readers
of your PDF documents if the readers of your documents aren't very
computer savy. If you have links in your PDF document so readers
can navigate around, not having the Forward and Back buttons up on
the tool bar as a default makes these links almost useless. The
reader has to know how to turn these two buttons on and some
readers may not have a clue how to do that.
My question: Is there a way to put 2 navigation buttons on a
reader's toolbar AUTOMATICALLY when they open your document--ie,
something embedded in the PDF doc that automatically turns these
buttons on for the reader so they don't have to do it
themselves?

How can I replace navigation buttons with obvious ones?

I've just taken over this website for a friend and opened it in Dreamweaver but the code is such that the existing four little square navigation buttons at the top of the page don't show up in design view (these change the book images). The client wanted some more "obvious" buttons there because people are not understanding that those little squares are buttons. Arrows may work better. Can anyone advise?

Help with Re-Linking Navigation Buttons

I have Adobe Flash CS3 Pro.
I have a navigation header flash file that came with my website template and I am having difficulty making sense of the actionscript. It has a logo section with effects, 5 main nav buttons that move, and two extra link buttons above the navigation bar. Let’s focus on just the Navigation buttons for now. Here is what I have gathered. I have multiple text buttons on one movieclip, and I have successfully edited the text for each button. If I look at the actionscript in the top layer of this movieclip I see:
“gotoAndStop(parent._parent.num);”
I also have a separate movieclip symbol (with effects) with 5 buttons layers listed in the actionscript with the following actionscript tied to each button from numbers 1 through 5:

My problem is that I have created new pages (index.html, about.html, featured.html, projects.html, contact.html). I would like each of the 5 buttons to correspond to these pages, not the existing standard “index-n.html” pages.
Also, this is probably not relevant, but each html page has something to this affect so I can see how they correspond to each button.

I guess my real question is: What actionscript do I need to update or remove for the nav button LINKS to work with my new html pages rather than the standard 5 index-n.html pages that it automatically wants to link to?
When I try and add a “getURL” command to each of the 5 buttons and test preview the movie, the links work, but it messes up the effects of the movieclip. In other words, the buttons don’t move, they are motionless, however the links work. If I added this command to each button in some way, what actionscript would I need to remove so there weren’t any complications? I need some expert help here for it would be much appreciated. I am a novice with Flash script and its killing me that I can’t figure it out. I asked for help from the template support and all they came back with was the following message and it wasn’t helpful:
You need to duplicate each button you are editing - it is very important.
2) Update the scripting to look similar way:

First of all, thank you for showing interest and helping out in my dilemma here. I wish I understood your meaning behind “on” because with my luck there is probably some hidden way of placing script on an object that I don’t understand or haven’t discovered yet.
This is what I know:
I have multiple text buttons on one movieclip entitled “textbutton1” (see previous picture), and I have successfully edited the text for each button and created two extra frames/buttons to make 7 total. If I look at the actionscript in the top layer of this movieclip I see:
“gotoAndStop(parent._parent.num);”
But there is no action on each individual frame (all 7 of them) on that layer.
Like I mentioned before I have a separate movieclip symbol (entitled “menu effect”) with 7 button movieclip layers listed in the actionscript with the following actionscript on each layer.

How to hide navigation button in xml config file

I have a photo gallery with a navigation button that allows for additional photo categories that I don't want to appear. Unfortunately, I can't open the .fla as it appears to have been created with a newer version of Flash. The code in the config.xml file is basically:

<menu 1> <content>
</menu 1>
<menu 2> <content>
</menu 2>
etc.
</navigation>
Is there a tag I can add to make the navigation link disappear?

Deleting the navigation tags will make the xml malformed. You need to keep those, but the parts in between can go.

Trouble with Lumia 900 navigation button not worki...

Hei guys,
This afternoon, all of a sudden, without nothing happened, my 3 navigation buttons (back, start and search) on my nokia lumia 900 stopped working. I really can't understand what happened since 2 minutes before the buttons were working perfectly and then the sensibility of the button is completely zero.
Tried to turn off the phone several times, but it didn't worked at all. Searched around the web but noone seems having the same problem. I found only one guy that posted a similar problem like mine but recieved only an answer that didn't look really helpful (turn off the phone for 3 days and see later).
All the rest of the touch screen still works perfectly, it's just the three navigation button that don't work, even tapping all the time. there's no sign of response from the phone.
I really have no idea what's happened. Did someone had a similar, if not the same problem? any suggestion how to fix it?

I know this is a month old but all of a sudden this morning I begane having the exact same problem.
My troubleshooting tasks so far have been to reboot the phone about 3 times.
I have hard reset my phone with just holding the power button down (not sliding the screen when asked to). Connected it to my computer to make sure it was updated.
Deleted all new text messages (there was a bug a while back that can cause Windows 7 to lock up on certain formatted text messages. Then rebooted the phone again
Deleted all new email messages from my google account on the phone. Rebooted the phone.
And still I do not have any of my bottom buttons usable. Has anyone figurec this out yet? Every time I do something I have reboot the phone since I cannot back up or get to the home screen.

Some very friendly advice here. Stop what you're doing. Put down the mouse. Walk into the boss's office or phone the client and tell them their current website is a flaming disaster. It uses frames which makes the site overly complicated and difficult for site visitors to use. To add further insult, the site is constructed so poorly as to be un-navigable. I can't even see the lower menu in Firefox 3.0.10 on XP. Seriously, this needs to be rebuilt ASAP without frames and with a navigation system that doesn't suck. In the long-run, a good CSS menu would be much simpler for you (and the next poor soul who inherits this site) to work with.

First tab wont close, navigation buttons not working

Every time I open up Firefox, the first tab loads up my Home Page. But none of my navigation buttons work. I cant go back or home or anything.Then the back, foreword, reload and stop buttons will work after I open up a new tab. I still can not click the home button, well i click it, but It just does nothing, and yes i have made sure I have a home page set. I am never able to close the first tab that opens with the browser until i close the entire browser. I am able to close any tab i open after, but never the first one.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Navigation buttons getting error in Accessible PDF

In InDesign cs6 I have created 2 internal navigation buttons, one is "Go to destination" and one is "Go to Previous View". After exporting as an interactive pdf (yes, all the correct boxes checked or unchecked) and running a full check, I get these error messages:
2 element(s) that are not contained within the structure tree. (How to Add Tags)
Inaccessible digital signature
Inaccessible form field
I have been creating accessible pdfs for about a year but have never had to make one with this type of button. I have no idea why this is happening and have searched everywhere for an answer. Can anyone help? Please!

Sorry for the delay in responding, you've probably solved this by now. But just in case not, or for others searching for this answer.
Strangely enough Navigation Buttons are considered "Form Fields" and need to be tagged in the proper reading order the Tag Panel under a Form tag. They also need tool tips which explain their purpose to the user. The Tab Order also needs to be set in the Forms Task Pane.

How to configure Share Button in Mountain Lion?

I have just updated my MBP to Mountain Lion. Going to give Safari a bash as I liked the look of some of the new features, for one the Share Button.
However, when I try to share something by email it opens Chrome and shares it using a Gmail account I use for work stuff that I don't remember specifying on any of my Apple devices so have no idea why it has defaulted to using this one. I use an @me.com account for the mac mail client and want to share emails using this.
Any ideas how can configure the new Share Button on Mountain Lion to do this would be appreciated.

I´ve been trying to acomplish the opposite without success. I just updated from snow leopard to mountain lion. I only use web based gmail since I find it more usefull. I used to have a small program called gmail notification on SL that among other things poped out a small safari page to send an email every time I choosed to email something from the options on an item. In other words it used web based gmail to send attachments. eg. I would select a word document, hit sec button, select send email... and a safari web page with my attachment on it apeared that would let me include address and text to it.
Gmail notification does not work on ML. I tried to download it without success. I´d love to have web based gmail open ready to write the email when I hit share button on ML but apple Mail app shows up every time I do this. If I select chrome as my email reader from options in Mail then chome would pop up but only on the default starting page.
Any ideas?

note that the value of action should be the same to the value of outcome,
