Ncmpcpp tag editor working inconsistently

I've been using ncmpcpp's tag editor, and I've been having some issues.
First, for some songs, when I put a full date string into the year field, it shortens it to 4 digits when I save it (eg 2012-04-15 -> 2012). At first, I figured ncmpcpp just didn't support saving full date strings, but I've tried it with some other files and it works. I have yet to find a pattern (eg works for FLAC but not mp3, or vice versa).
Second, when I try to change the Album Artist field, instead of changing it, it usually adds a new Album Artist. For example, I tried to change the album artist from "Run The Jewels" to "Run the Jewels", and after saving, it changed to "Run The Jewels, Run the Jewels", and it started showing both under "Run the Jewels" and "Run The Jewels". If I try to set the Album Artist tag to "", it saves to "Run The Jewels" again. I think this problem has happened every time I've tried changing the Album Artist, so this might be universal, but it's possible it's only for some files like the Year thing is.
Lastly, sometimes when I try to change the track number from, for example, 01 to 01/14, it reverts back to 01.
So, does anyone have any idea why this is/how to fix it? I've looked in the source code and didn't see anything that cuts the Year string down to 4 digits, so I was thinking maybe something is up with my files? I've had no trouble editing any of these fields when in Foobar when I used Windows.

Yep, no email, nowhere in my trash or spam filters. I tried resetting my password (so I'd get another email) but didn't get anything from that either, and I made absolute sure everything was typed right.

Quick Tag Editor not working on my Mac

I am on lesson 4 in "Adobe Dreamweaver CC Classroom in a book" and am at a point where I am instructed to insert an Image Placeholder. The instructions has me insert the cursor into text within tags and press the left-arrow key. It states the cursor will then be placed outside the opening tag, which does not work. Then with a key combination the QTE is supposed to open with cursor now inside new brackets. None of the above works. I am in split view. If I can provide anymore info or a screen grab let me know, but I can't even get the QTE to open when I place the cursor in the correct position...

**NOTE**If I am inside the tags the Cmd-T command to bring up QTE works. However, when the cursor is placed outside the and inside the <aside> the Cmd-T QTE will not come up as instructed. Obviously I can enter the code in Code edit, but as instructions direct it does not work.

Preran, Thanks. It works now when I select the selector as mentioned in the video. I assumed the selector mentioned in step 1. below meant the CSS Selectors Window/pane. However when clicking the selector below the split/design window it works. I included the instructions below which seem to be ambiguos at best. Maybe I have simply missed something that was mentioned before.
Thanks again and we can consider this resolved, unless the book authors wants to make a change to the instructions which seems to be needed.

1. Insert the cursor into the text directly below the vertical menu. Click the tag selector. The placeholder image should not be inserted within the element. If it were, it would inherit any margins, padding, and other formatting applied to the paragraph, which could cause it to disrupt the layout.
Tip Use Split view whenever you’re unsure where the cursor is inserted.
2. Press the Left Arrow key. As you have seen in earlier exercises, the cursor moves to the left of the opening tag in the code but stays within the < aside > element. 3. Press Ctrl-T/ Cmd-T to open the Quick Tag Editor.

Please try creating new tag in a new catalog.. Is Organizer still crashing?
You also mentioned crash on restoring an old catalog backup? Is this the same catalog with which you are seeing crash on tag creation?

i've been searching for a good mp3 tag editor for like forever. .all i found were s60 3rd (not compatible with my phone) and java apps (not good enough). So, does anyone know any good mp3 tag editor apps for symbian^3 or at least for s60v5 that wil work on S^3. I use nokia C6-01 Symbian Belle Refresh

Does anybody know a good IDE tag editor, that can changes the tags of multiple files in one (eg. Ad the album tag to the 13 files in that album) without the need of typing it or copying it all again?

Have Premier CS3 on XP
We have a heavy edit this week for a film festival.
Can one editor work on part 1 on one PC machine...and another editor work on part 2 on a mac...and then somehow... be able to transfer the mac timeline over to the PC machine for final work.
What special gottcha tricks do I need to know???
We can get both editors to use the same clip names. They will be on different drives...but the same structure...the same directories and filenames exactly on each drive. The Mac version would copy the master clips folder im thinking. Both machines...same raw materials.
Im just concerned that we may forget to do an important step... and not be able to successfully bring all the edit timeline pieces over so they point correctly.

Should work OK, as long as you're using the same media source for both platforms/projects. In other words, you need to be working with something like DV AVIs or QT DV MOVs with both. One platform will suffer because it's not as tuned to work with the other platform's media, but it's doable. You could capture the same media to each platforms native media (DV AVI on PC, QT DV MOV on Mac), but relinking once you transfer from Mac to PC will be a nightmare. If you're working with something like P2 MXF, though, this will be a breeze--just point to the proper directory and everything will be fine. This is a major benefit of PPro's native handling of such media, IMO.
You could also copy the media over, wholesale, from Mac to PC--I think this is what you're saying now that I'm reading your post again. I'm guessing that in this case, both machines would NOT be working with the same material originally, correct? Just note that you may have file system incompatibilities going from Mac to PC. Mac uses the HFS file system, whereas your PC is probably using NTFS. FAT32 is common to both systems (can be read/written on each) but you're limited in supported file sizes to less than 4GB. If you've got an HFS-formatted external drive you'd be moving to the PC, I recommend
HFS Explorer. It will allow you to mount and extract data from your HFS-formatted disc on the PC. There is also MacDrive, which is more tightly integrated with PC (disks show up as native filesystems in Explorer) but it's not free. Time might be an issue, though, and MacDrive might be the better option. There is a free limited trial, I believe.
Beyond that, just import the Mac-generated project into the PC-generated project, and relink your files. BE SURE TO DO THIS ON A COPY OF YOUR PC PROJECT, just in case the unthinkable happens. From there, the projects should be successfully merged, and you can proceed with final assembly. I would suggest keeping your additional timeline items to a minimum in the Mac project (ie. audio, graphics, titles, etc) just to eliminate possible transfer headaches. I really don't think you'll face an issue, but it could wreck your day if something goes haywire.
Finally, and most importantly, test this out if you value your sanity. This is not something you want to simply "hope" works without any sort of field trial. This should work perfectly well, but I assume to responsibility if it does not!

It would "run" (more like Sunday stroll or walk) if you installed Snow Leopard in a VM. Especially if you have 6-core (and would help to have 6 or 8 cores anyway if you were able to and intend to make best use of nMP for video editing).
If you "classic" Mac Pro was 2009 or later, adding two AMD graphic cards, upgrading the processor to 8-core 3.xGHz would have gotten you a FCP-X capable machine and still dual boot and use Snow Leopard as needed.
Any Mac Pro can now use 1000MB/sec SSD PCIe blade to boot from and/or for scratch and editing to help improve work flow.

Meta Tag Editor

So I've had my Apple TV now for about 8 months, and I love it. I've been going through my massive collection of DVD's and converting them for ATV. What I was wondering is what Meta Tag editors other people are using or have used? I just don't think iTunes is all that great. What I am looking for specific is:
1) Can download cover art/poster
2) Movie Description
3) Actors/Directors/Etc.
4) Ability to just edit Meta tags.

Chenks has offered two good suggestions. Both (I think) can access metadata collated at tagChimp. MetaX for Mac has not been updated for a while, the windows port may offer more if you have access to a Windows machine - not tried it myself.

Launching a JNLP file from IE works inconsistently

Am trying to launch jnlp file from IE. The jnlp file is created via a JSP page by setting the appropriate content type. Problem is it works inconsistently. It gives an error when launching with details as mentioned below:

I have seen this happen for two reasons.
One reason is that a vary header is sent by the Web server. This can happen for a number of reasons. Lets say you are dynimically generating your JNLP file with PHP, and you call session_start() in the jnlp this will send some headers which cause IE not to properly cache the JNLP file. You probably want to send a send a few other headers in the jsp which generates your jnlp.
However since this behavior is happening some times and some times not. My guess is that your IE cache is close to full or need so be increased in size.

Why do input tags stop working when I add more tags to my project ?

I'm having a problem with tags, when I add more input tags to my project the rest of the tags stop responding, that is when I monitor them with the tag monitor I get a low limit error, if I delete the new tags in the project the rest of the tags start working ok, the whole project has 804 tags, and I'm using a Pentium 4 2.8GHz server, 256 Mb RAM and Windows 2000 Advanced Server, Any idea of what could be happening ?

Hello, I'm attaching the SCF File, the new tags that we created when the problem started are "VoltajeBateriaPozo11" and "VoltajeLineaPozo11" through "VoltajeBateriaPozo15" and "VoltajeLineaPozo15" (new set of tags)
When this set of new tags are included in the SCF file the tags "VoltajeBateriaPozo1" and "VoltajeLineaPozo1" through "VoltajeBateriaPozo15" and "VoltajeLineaPozo15"
don't show the correct value when we monitor them (We get the low limit alarm), the rest of the tags work properly.
When we delete the new set of tags all the tags work properly (including "VoltajeBateriaPozo1" and "VoltajeLineaPozo1" through "VoltajeBateriaPozo10" and "VoltajeLineaPozo10").
The OPC server we are using is the National Instruments OPC Lo
okOut Driver Version 4.5, the alarms are not communication alarms.

Any good Free mp3 tag editor programs (vista compat)

Are there any 3rd party mp3 tag editors around. Prefer one that does mass processing where it knows the file format "artist - trackname" and adds tags?

Tag editors are very much a personal choice. MP3 Library isn't flashy, but it's **bleep** powerful.

Html 5 audio tag not working

Hi, I am trying to create a web page that links to an audio file. I have added the <audio> tag which works in my Safari browser on my Mac but does not work on the i-phone. If I save the page by bookmarking and adding to my Home Screen I have more success. This is not a desirable option.
Does anyone have any ideas?

my html was fine. in fact the server nginx was returning the wrong content-type and so i had to add the MIME types into my nginx config file.

I have Elements 12 installed. When I am in the catalog, click on a photo, then want to open the Editor, I get an error message. If I click on Editor from the Welcome screen, I get the same error message. Why doesn't Editor work? Thanks.
