Need AE javascript to add comp to AME queue and run

I have a project that needs AE to export several formats and would like to que them up in AME from the javascript. I would like to send a comp, select the format and presets from AE and start the render. Any javascript help would be appreciated.

The only way this might be possible is by using the HostContainer object
to access the HTML page and do it from there.

signing the Jar and downloading the certificate permanently does not change anything in Firefox. The Java console keeps giving the above exception.

Do i need a network card in my computer to install and run a local Java Web Server or any Web Server.

network cards are only for connecting equipment together... you can set up a webserver without any more equipment than you have already! Indeed Tomcat... BUT you would be better off with apache for production stuff. It depends what you need to serve... if its mainly static pages (i guess it probably isn't) then apache will be enough by itself; but if you need to serve dynamic pages (JSP, Servlet blah blah) then you will need tomcat. Tomcat has it's own webserver and its perfectly ok for testing or low-load stuff, but you can integrate with Apache (a moderately compex task, but do-able, see tomcat-user forum off of apache site) for greater stability, and you don't have to show the port in the URL... Don't set up a webserver on any pc that contains stuff you don't want hacked into... it becomes very succeptible when the service is up...

Can't add Files to AME CC anymore.

It worked fine - i didn't update or anything. Just stopped being able to add Files to AME. Drag and drop not working / Files appear greyed out in Dialouge.
What could be wrong?

This sounded first a bit like : "have you tried turn it on?" But you made me check anyway - and i found the problem: My layout suddenly changed - instead of "Queue" i had "Watch folders" as my main window. Now, you can't import single files into that of course.. not by double clicking, not by clicking the +, and definitely not by drag and dropping

Taking forever to send comps to AME CC 2014

Hello, for the last week or so I've having difficulties using AME CC 2014 to render AE CC 2014 comps. I click 'add to Media Encoder cue' and nothing happens. Sometimes 10-15 min later the comp shows up in the AME cue, other time it will appear after starting other encoding jobs. There's no indication that anything is going on during this time (no excessive save times). This issue does not seem to extend to Pr. I am attempting to render very large comps (~6000x720 px). I recently installed the latest round of updates, but I don't believe this issue started immediately after.
Has anyone else been experiencing this or have a fix? This is incredibly frustrating. So far it seems that CC has only sped up how fast bugs are rolled out, not fixes!
Some tech details:
Mac Pro 8-core Xeon E5
64gb ram
OS X 10.9.5
Working off of and rendering to a Pegasus 2 R6
P.S. I've also been having lots of issues with multi-frame rendering, but that's been causing me issues off and on for 3+ years, so I don't believe they are connected.

As a test I just made a new project with a 720p comp and a single solid with a text layer. It cued up in AME without issues, both saved locally and on the RAID.
I then made a very basic 7000px wide comp and that cued properly as well.
These projects I'm working on that are having issues are fairly complex with lots of footage, AI files, and precomps. Is there any reason that would make it take 10-15min to cue? It doesn't really make sense when saving the project file only takes 2-3 seconds.
I have been rendering to an intermediary in the mean time, it just really slows down my progress since multi-frame rendering hasn't been working in AE. I guess I'll have to dig up my old BG render script.

For many 17" (or 17.3") machines such as Envy 17, dv, Pavilion 17 .... you can add a second HDD (my old loan dv7 has two HDD's and my current loan Envy 17 also has 2 HDD's). You would need the following kit:

You should take the time to familiarize yourself with the documentation that is available. You can "uncheck" a song in iTunes, and then do a manual update.

How can I go back to Firefox 3.6. I can only find the 4.0 upgrade and I need some of old add ons that are not available on 4.0 plus can't seem to post to Craiglist. I keeps crashing.

When I look for 3.6.6 or only the 4.0 upgrade comes up. I thought I could downgrade.

I had the same problem (issue with Google Apps and XUL runner etc) of needing to downgrade. To pull it off I went to the main Firefox download page (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/new/) and followed the link to OTHER SYSTEMS AND LANGUAGES which took me to a page that included a link on the right hand side to download Firefox 3.6.16.
(The stuff below pertains to Windows. If you are on a different OS your steps will vary)
To do the actual downgrade (and there may be some other steps that would be wise to take but this is what worked for me) I merely renamed "c:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox" to "c:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox bad" (in case I want to try troubleshooting the issue later) and then ran the "Firefox Setup 3.6.16.exe" file that downloaded from that link. That solved my problem and I'm back and running 3.6.16.
In case you don't feel comfortable changing things in your Program Files directory you might try a different approach and try uninstalling via the Control Panel and Add and Remove Programs (or whatever it is called on the version of Windows you are on) and then running the installation file. I didn't go that route so I can't tell you how well that might work.

There are no files like that in that folder (com.apple.safari). They all have long numbers with .jpeg or .png at the end. That's what I meant by I cannot find any files like those mentioned in all the helps I read today. BTW-it's still crashing - no particular pattern to it at all.
The only two things I have downloaded recently is a new version of Flash and a Mac-driven update to Office.

Firefox says I need to update my add ons and plug ins at startup after restarting my laptop

I'm running 10.0.2 and I get multiple tabs when i first start firefox saying i need to install updated add ons. i go thru each one and click add and then restart firefox and all is fine. later when i turn my laptop back on and then start firefox I get the same message. firefox isn't saving or acknowledging that the add ons have already been installed. what do I need to do to fix this?

thanks, it appears from searching the bitdefender forums that my BD 2010 is now an unsupported software and i could upgrade to 2012 free. after the upgrade all is well .

Cannot send AE Comp to AME

None of the methods work for sending a composition to AME. Importing from AME gets stuck on the Dynamic Link window while "loading project.aep" and it never finishes. Using the command in the AE Composition drop-down simply does nothing at all. I see activity in AE in the activity monitor for a minute or so then I guess it just quits trying. I also tried putting the composition and it's assets only in a new project with the same results.
I'm using the latest CC everything on a Macbook Pro Retina OS X 10.10.2 and had the same problem in 10.10.1.
Thanks for any help. I rarely post here but everyone else I found who has posted with this issue was getting ignored so I figured I would give it a shot.

When rendering After Effects comps in AME, the rule of thumb is WYSIWYG. Whatever the Comp panel shows is what AME will render.
The exception to this is the viewer controls at the bottom of the Comp panel: resolution, grids/guides, channels, etc. Those only affect how you view the comp, they don't affect the content of your comp, which is what AME cares about.
In other words, AME will render your comp the way it is set up in the Timeline panel.
